The “True Sensation” dildo is a fleshy, silicone tool that measures exactly 7 inches and has the ability to vibrate (three different frequencies), thrust (seven different speeds), and self-heat (up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit). It’s just like the real thing, James Guo, the founder of Our Erotic Journey, assures me from his office in Irvine, California. Best of all—everything is controlled through the app AMZ.
“It connects to someone that’s oceans away,” he says of its potential for creating all kinds of sexual fantasies. Teasingly, he adds: “There’s also music that can match the intensity of the vibration.”
True Sensation is just one offering featured among the wide inventory of Our Erotic Journey, the sex toy brand Guo launched in 2019. Its online store, which boasts more than 200 products, is a pleasure chest of sexual self-amusement. Take your pick: There’s the lipstick-shaped vibrator, a remote-controlled rotating butt plug, various cock rings, something called the “Gravity Rocket” (a clitoral suction vibrator with seven massage modes), and a smattering of glow-in-the-dark accessories. “Those are for the ravers,” Guo jokes.
The sex tech market is estimated to triple by 2030, exceeding $100 billion globally in sales. The demand for products, from AI-assisted companions and personal wand massagers to sexual wellness apps, sits at an all-time high. At a moment when industry trends favor artificial intelligence and remote sex exploration, Guo just wants to make eccentric, high-quality vibrators. He’s betting big on toys.
In the years since launch, Guo has built Our Erotic Journey into a quietly influential brand through intentionally whimsical designs and an insistence on quality products. “I know production,” Guo says. His family, he tells me, owns an auto-parts factory in China, and what he learned from the business—how the factory system runs, the science of machines, what style of packaging attracts customers—he leveraged for OEJ.
Guo admits that the initial product line—about 20 toys, of which the Sec Duo vibrator for couples remains a company best-seller—was devised to “fit the market.” “We self developed the first batch through modding, R&D, scaling, all that stuff,” he says. “Everything since that represents more of who we are.”
That’s how OEJ’s six themed collections came to be. The Cristal collection is for glass toys while the Space, Thrillz, and Lit collections are for truly uninhibited pleasure seekers (one features a dildo called “The Girthquake,” that exploits a specific, if sometimes worn out, racial fantasy).
But where Guo, who is 35, sometimes falls short in imagination, he more than makes up for in vigilance. “Users expect and deserve products that meet stringent safety standards, and any deviation can damage a brand’s reputation irrevocably,” he posted in an XBIZ editorial in September. “Partner with trusted white-label manufacturers rather than gamble on the unknowns.”
When I ask Guo about the editorial, he stresses that the success of sex tech is determined as much by the innovation involved in the products as the quality. “We want to be more of a bridge from human to human,” Guo says, “not just from toy to human.”
Even with promising market projections—another estimate goes so far as to predict sales could surpass $121 billion by 2030—industry analysts are not convinced that the future of sex tech is in toys.
It’s a “very oversaturated market that is now avoided by many,” says Olena Petrosyuk, a partner at the consulting firm Waveup. This year, she adds, investors “are looking away from ‘commoditized’ trends”—sex toys, but also sex content and social platforms. “Many failed to prove the economics and scale. The category is still fairly stigmatized,” she says. “OnlyFans being a massive exception.”
So what do consumers want? Petrosyuk says wellness, AI, and immersive realities are hot right now. “Practically every new sex tech startup is thinking in terms of AI use cases,” she says. “If it’s AI toys—companies are looking into how they can anticipate and respond to the user’s needs. If it’s robotics—we see companies looking into sex bots. If it’s content—it’s hyperpersonalized sex personas.”
Guo tells me he is not phased by talk of AI sex robots—“a low-volume business,” in his estimation—because many people cannot afford the high price tag. Continued success, he believes, is will come by expanding on the company’s themed collections. OEJ works directly with US and Canadian distributors; it is not a direct-to-consumer business, though he says customers do occasionally order via the online store.
Although ecommerce is the industry standard in retail and electronics, taking more of an old-school approach works for Guo. Next year, OEJ plans to launch a Zodiac collection, crafting 12 unique toys for each astrological sign. It’s an appeal to the Co–Star fanatics of Gen Z. “Every generation is different,” he says.
The company’s mostly nonexistent social media presence only seems to add to their Wonka-like mystery. “We’re just bad at it,” Jerry Chen, an operations assistant, says. “We’re really focused on production.”
For now, that business model seems to be a hit. Our Erotic Journey recently won the “Best Pleasure Product Manufacturer—Small” prize at the 2023–2024 AVN Awards in Las Vegas, a litmus test for newbie brands in the adult content world. OEJ also received the O Award for Outstanding New Product for “Sexy Pot,” Guo’s marijuana-leaf-shaped vibrator, a customer favorite.
Clearly wanting to capitalize on its unexpected success, Guo says, “It’s time we gave it a sister or brother.”

febuwhump day 9: voice loss
episode: Brand X | tw: medical procedures | general audiences
He wakes up at 3:12pm, while she’s sat by his side.
“Scully.” It’s the most broken, pained sounding way she has ever heard him say her name, quiet and raw in his throat, but it makes her heart swell with relief.
“Hey.” She takes his hand and leans into his field of view. “Don’t try and talk, it’ll hurt too much.”
Mulder nods, agreeing for once without argument. The last time he was awake, he’d been in high spirits, or at least high enough spirits to make jokes to calm her nerves. Now, though, he’s exhausted, despite being unconscious for the best part of the last week. Slowly, his body has been recovering from hypoxia, the tobacco infusions, and the two further rounds of deep suction to rid his lungs of the remaining tobacco beetle larvae.
He’s been asleep for all of it, and this time she hadn’t been able to give him any warning. Before any surgery, she’s his source of information, the only one he trusts to tell him the truth. In the pre-op room, before the first suction procedure, he’d asked her if he’d feel any of it, and how long it would take before he’d wake up. She’d resisted the thoracic surgery partly because she knew he wouldn’t survive it, yes, but also because she knew he’d want to know beforehand. He’d want the chance to say goodbye.
Right now, his eyes find hers, asking questions and seeking answers. Four days ago, he flatlined on the operating table when the doctors first injected him with nicotine, and Scully had wondered what she’d do if she never got to see his eyes again.
“It’s been a rough few days.” Her voice cracks, and she swallows past the lump in her throat. “But you’re okay now.”
He flicks his eyes to the machines around him; she knows what he’s asking. This is their routine, whenever he wakes up in hospital: he asks what everything is, and she gives him a summary of each machine, what they’re all doing to keep him alive.
“You’ve got BP being taken every few hours. Heart rate, temperature and blood oxygen are being monitored round the clock, and you’re being given fluids and nutrients through a feeding tube into your stomach.”
She points to the thick tube running from his neck. “You’re still hooked up to the ECMO, as a precaution, but it’s not been oxygenating you since last night – since your O2 levels are good, they think your lungs are doing okay, so they’ll be disconnecting it in the next few hours.”
Mulder’s forehead creases in concern.
“They’ll put you under sedation for that, but it’s a relatively minor procedure. No risks.” That’s a lie – there’s always risks, no matter how minor the surgery – but she doesn’t want to scare him. He’s pulled through the last few days – she’ll be damned if he doesn’t make it through a simple cannula removal.
“Your throat and lungs are still recovering. They’re damaged, but they’ll heal, you just need to rest your voice for now.”
He nods again. She isn’t used to him being this acquiescent – it unnerves her.
“Mulder?”
The hand that’s not in hers moves into an okay signal, and he moves his wrist in an up-and-down motion. He wants to write.
“I’ll get you a pen.”
A few minutes later, she holds a notebook as he moves his hand slowly along the page. He hums to tell her he’s finished, and she glances down.
There, black ink spells out I love you. He looks up at her, still exhausted, but eyes shining with life and love, and Scully presses a kiss to his lips as she finally lets herself cry.

This post is for myself. Move along if you don’t care. So these past 2 days were crazy. I came onto shift and they were like yeah so you’re gonna get 1:1 baby. The sickest baby on the unit. I was like y’all joking right?😶 but then i was like this is why i wanted to become an NICU nurse. so i walk into the pod and see the baby. She was born 24 weeks. now 27weeker. so small. less than 1 gram man. ONE GRAM. That’s so small. So innocent and fragile. Intubated. On HFPV. I see all the machines and IV and i take a breath and pray to God. Made it past the first shift but today??? I came back and the nurse was looking at me with sadness and i was like what? she said i’m sorry. I was like oh nah. basically little girl was in bad shape. maxed out on oxygen. completely swollen. oxygenation not good at all. so the director MD comes in and me, the respiratory therapist and I all start working mad hard and repositioning and doing everything we can to get her back to normal. she’s so sensitive but i quickly learn what positioned she likes and what areas to suction. i gave her a bunch of meds. tried to stay calm and just concentrate. cause at that point my heart was in it. as if she was my baby. i never felt so attached before i swear. 😭 we ended up having to reintubate her. it was terrifying af. i barely got to eat. i was too scared to leave even though i had coverage.💀💀💀 by the end of my shift she got stabilized. i sat there tired af. The head respiratory therapist was like wow they gave you this patient when you’re still brand new? you must be smart. and the head neonatologist and regular also came and was like wow you did amazing. i was like 🥹 because i swear i took everything to heart. the pressure was insane but i handled it well. i really took care of the sickest baby and she survived and even got better by the time i left. i’m so proud of myself you don’t understand. I got into a conversation where i said NICU was my passion and the RT was like i can see that by how you worked. and getting praise from the doctors and nurses and respiratory therapists was nice too. Tough 2 shifts but I learned sooooo much. UGH.
#this is for myself#so please#keep scrolling if you don’t care#i have 4 days off now#TO FREEDOM!!#my confidence and knowledge definitely grew these past two days#🥺

sizzle season 2023 predictions
(for once i’m not preemptively prescribing any predictive value to this, so this is just for fun but it would be REALLY funny if anything turned out to be true)
this took way too long to write
it happens at 17:06 PM GMT on may 16th. a 3-minute trailer is dropped on all of nintendo’s youtube channels simultaneously. it’s similar to the chill season trailer (but set to new music that comes with the update), showing off the new main weapons, plus the new gear and kits. featured in it is:
like i just said, new battle music— 4 or 5 songs total. the one featured in the trailer is generally considered a banger right from the onslaught, though there are some mixed opinions
2 OR 4 brand-new main weapons. im saying this because all the weapon classes besides the og 3 are in groups of 2 (brushes and blasters, dualies and brellas, splatanas and stringers). they look pretty decent, but the community is cautious on calling them strong after the mess that was the chill season weapons
a returning map— this time from splatoon 1 again! what will it be? moray towers? uh. okay. reactions are predictably not too positive, but from the footage we're shown it looks somewhat improved
a few days later it's revealed that a new salmon run map is coming! it's an abandoned coastal town in the splatlands, with a lot of run-down buildings
the gear is mostly returning and duplicate items, with a slight focus on warmer tones and tank tops
and of course the new kits. everyone rejoices on finding that only one new kit is given to a shooter, the foil squeezer, with angle shooter and kraken
one of the first kits found in the trailer is an inkling using zipcaster and holding... a foil flingza roller? what the fuck?
the sloshing machine neo is shown. to continue the pattern of meta weapons getting pointless neo variations, it gets suction bomb and inkjet.
brellas finally get new kits, with the tenta brella getting curling bombs with tacticooler AND the splat brella receiving a splat bomb and booyah bomb. however, these new sets are useless because brella shields still aren't fixed in the 4.0 patch for some godforsaken reason
light tetra dualies are revealed to have fizzy bomb and super chump. there is not much to say on this.
and the biggest kits of the season, featured prominently in the trailer: the foil tri-stringer and barazushi splatana stamper! stamper gets big bubbler and squid beakon. ideally stringer would get something like splash wall and wave breaker (thanks prochara) but instead it gets angle shooter and triple inkstrike. awesome.
and league battles are also there

WAIT one aspect of autism is sensory seeking? Like, I knew that mostly. But I only ever hear about the autism "evil texture" stuff and the "I can't eat this food because it's a bad texture". But. THAT EXPLAINS SO MUCH. I always felt a bit weird that I have only experienced evil texture once in my life. imposter syndrome stuff what if this means im not actually autistic.
like - my neurotypical friends don't get excited to go to the dentist. its just a thing they have to do. the autistic friends who've mentioned dentists also aren't excited - they dread it, they hate it, there's too many textures they hate.
i love going to the dentist. i love getting the squirty water with the weird taste and then the suction machine. i love the scratch scratch against my teeth. its really cool. i love trying new food - few things are more exciting than trying a brand new food, i want to see what it tastes like, what it feels like. will it squish? will it squeak? will it be rubbery? Will it for some reason have the exact same texture as greek yogurt (i tried silken tofu once it was a very confusing experience. taste of tofu, texture of yougurt. incredible experience, very confusing.)
i crochet my fidget toys of the scratchiest wool i can find. i want it scratchy, but my clothes soft.
"sensory seeking behavior". yeah. that. that tracks. thanks. that explains so much.
people do correctly identify that laios is autistic fairly often but a lot of the reasoning begins and ends with his special interest and social difficulties, but honestly it goes far deeper into the build of his character than just those two things
his pain tolerance is wildly inconsistent, unable to tolerate a drop of hot oil (or any heat) but able to shrug off both his leg being bitten off and it being reattached
hes sensory seeking in the extreme. he rubs the bat bones against his face, pets and fluffs the shapeshifter tail.
his desire to eat monsters comes from three very autistic places. 1) the rules for why monsters are not okay to eat but animals are are arbitrary to him so he cannot follow them easily: he cannot understand the 'feelings' argument others make. 2) this too is a sensory seeking behavior. he wants to experience these new things, new flavors and new textures. 3) it completes his knowledge of the monster in question to also have data on its edibility. because he cannot draw that arbitrary line around all monsters, he wants to evaluate them case-by-case and see if real patterns emerge. butchering and eating the monsters improves his knowledge of them greatly and highlights their importance in their ecosystem, as well as making him a part of that same ecosystem
he cannot emote the way others expect him to. he compartmentalizes his feelings (to an unhealthy degree) because he needs a pragmatic solution. so as long as there is a problem to solve, that matters far more than evaluating his emotions and allowing himself to experience them. while this is also a coping mechanism for ptsd, it is a trait found in many autistic people regardless of trauma, as we have trouble sorting the feelings we have and often need time to think about what we feel, so it becomes easier to simply not do it and pretend we dont need to. laios emotions certainly affect him, with or without his processing them, but others do not see what they expect to see and thus dismiss that he is feeling what they would feel
he is incredibly gifted with pattern recognition, observation, and analysis within realms he understands. to understand subjects that dont come easily to him, he must filter them through his established schema (his special interest--this is why they are so special! they help us sort the world). when he isnt sure about the social cues and details hes observed in the shapeshifter arc, he filters it through the lens he understands best: monsters. he was making correct observations about his friends all along, but he could not be confident in that the way he was about their behavior when it came to his interest (chilchucks caution, senshis passions, and marcilles carelessness)

SEBO Vacuum Cleaners: Canister and Felix Models for Superior Home Cleaning
What is a Vacuum Cleaner?
A vacuum cleaner, also known as simply a vacuum, or a hoover if you happen to be British, is a machine that uses suction to remove dust, dirt, pet hair, and other debris from floors or other surfaces in your home. This debris is then stored either in a replaceable sealed dust-bag or in an emptiable compartment/container for later disposal.
What Is a HEPA Filter?
Its canister sebo vacuum may have a sieve filter to catch the largest dust and foam or other dense material options that catch smaller particles. These are mechanical filtration systems because they only deal with the physical stoppage of dust and other tiny things.
As amazing as any type of filter seems, it is not worth it if it does not remove potentially dangerous or unhealthy particles from the air. This is how it works with a HEPA filter.
1 — You vacuum your floors or other surfaces in the normal way. The dust, debris, and particles get sucked up through the hose or tube and pass through the filters contained within the vacuum.
2 — The mechanical filters made of mesh or foam catch the largest particles first. This group includes things like pet hair, clumps of dust, and small pieces of debris. In a machine with a disposable bag, these fly into it right away and get caught in there.
3 — The smaller particles pass through the first filter and get caught on the next. Many vacuum cleaners have multiple mechanical filters with denser construction to catch more particles.
Whether you go to a home goods store or shop online at a vacuum cleaner store like this one, you know there are dozens of different brands and models on the market today. How can you choose when there are so many options? Although comparing individual machines is an important part of the process, first you have to decide on the best type of vacuum cleaner for your home.
In some cases, it will make sense to have more than one vacuum. This is especially true if you have many different types of flooring, have pets or children, do any messy hobbies like woodworking, or simply have a very large house. Explore the different options below and make an informed decision before your next vacuum cleaner sebo purchase.
Advantages
The entire vacuum cleaner is self-contained, stored easily in a closet, and has efficient sucking power to keep your floors clean all the time. Most models have onboard HEPA or other filters to help improve air quality, too
Disadvantages
The compact shape of an upright vacuum creates a disadvantage for some users. First of all, they are not adjustable in any way, so it may be awkward to use for very tall or short people. Also, everything is attached to the handle, the overall weight that you have to push around across your floors is higher than with some other vacuum types.
conlcusion
SEBO vacuums, including the versatile canister models and the efficient Felix vacuum cleaner, deliver outstanding performance, durability, and advanced filtration. Perfect for all floor types, they ensure a cleaner, healthier home with ease.

Exploring the Price Variability of Vacuum Suction Machines
Technical specifications profoundly influence the price of vacuum suction machines. These specifications can vary widely, addressing different needs that dictate the machine's complexity and functionality.
For instance, a high-end vacuum suction machine designed for medical applications, such as those used in surgeries, will feature precise controls, sterilisable components, and safety mechanisms that ensure no contamination.
These sophisticated machines can cost significantly more than lower-end models used for non-critical tasks, such as cleaning or simple fluid extraction in an industrial setting.
The disparity in pricing can be illustrated by comparing two models: one designed for high-volume, medical-grade suction and another for basic workshop dust collection. The former might incorporate advanced filtration systems, durable materials resistant to harsh sterilants, and compliance with stringent medical standards, all driving up the cost.
In contrast, a basic model might use simpler, less expensive materials and technology, resulting in a much lower price.
Brand Influence on Pricing
Brand reputation and market share also play pivotal roles in the pricing of vacuum suction machines, such as the varying Prices of Vacuum Suction Machines in India. Well-established brands known for quality and reliability often price their equipment higher.
This premium is due to the brand's perceived value, built through consistent customer satisfaction and often supported by extensive warranties and superior customer service. For example, machines from a company with a long-standing reputation in the healthcare sector might carry a premium over a lesser-known manufacturer's products, even if the technical specs are similar.
On the other hand, generic brands or new market entrants typically compete on price to gain a foothold in the market. These brands might offer vacuum suction machines at significantly lower prices to attract budget-conscious buyers. However, the lower price points might reflect material quality, technology, or after-sales support compromises.
Geographical Factors
The pricing of vacuum suction machines is also subject to geographical factors. Import duties, shipping costs, and local manufacturing conditions can all affect how much a machine costs in a particular market.
For example, a vacuum suction machine manufactured in a country with lower labour costs might be less expensive than one produced in a country with high manufacturing expenses.
However, if the cheaper machine needs to be imported into a market with high tariffs on imported machinery, the final cost to the buyer could be comparable to or even exceed that of machines produced locally or in countries with trade agreements favouring lower duties.
Moreover, the cost of materials and components can vary by region, affecting the overall production costs of these machines. Additionally, exchange rates can significantly impact the pricing of imported machines, making them more or less expensive depending on currency fluctuations.
Conclusion
The variability in vacuum suction machine prices can be attributed to several interlinked factors, including technical specifications, brand reputation, and geographical influences.
When deciding what's worth paying extra for, buyers should consider the machine's intended use, the importance of reliability and service support, and the total cost of ownership over the machine's lifespan. Understanding these elements will enable buyers to make informed decisions, ensuring they invest in equipment that offers the best value for their needs.
