Once More, we return to Tiamat prompts. 

It was a wonderful idea, really! If one of them couldn’t break the barrier, then surely their combined might would do it! And it had! It had worked, even if their remaining humanity was sacrificed. They’d done it, they’d made it where everyone could escape, could leave!

… Except for them. Someone had to close the portal. And it all would have been fine, if not for the remnants of the GIW. One last hail mary from the imbeciles, they all supposed. Trapping them here within the Zone. 

Separated from their families, from the pair of children they had agreed to raise. At least their siblings would watch over Ellie and Jordan. Kyle could hide them, make sure they were safe. Jazz… Jazz was gone, the final straw in this plan. 

They screamed, they raged, they destroyed in grief for those that didn’t make it, and for those who had but had nowhere to go. No portals opened, even as they tore at the green around them. They fought, any that thought they were weak, that they were merely a beast, an abomination trapped in chains of science and gold. 

There was nothing that could be done, Frostbite had said, sympathy in his voice. No way to turn back the clock with how entwined they had become, Clockwork had explained. The only thing they could do was wait, Pandora had tried to sooth, despite it doing nothing. 

They wrenched open the coffin in a hazy fury, tearing apart armies like it was blades of grass. Their maws devoured dead who had lost themselves and become mere husks and thralls, lashing tails ripping through armour like it was nothing. 

And then as titans, they clashed with the one who had once stolen the city here. There was no desperation from them this time, no armor besides scales unbreakable as flames and storms and ice and thorns ripped islands apart. There was no desperation besides that of their opponent’s. 

There was a pleasure in their victory, before it was wrenched away. What use was a crown when their family wasn’t there? When their daughter, their son, their children were not there by their side? 

Paulina laughed, hysterical as ectoplasm dripped from her maw as Kwan howled. Their body was covered in it, their rampage that had no use, no reason leaving a trail of destruction behind them. Is this what they wanted? 

No. 

Danny raised his head from the dissolving corpses to look towards the obliterated roof of the Keep, once so terrifying now turning to dust like the crown. The crown reforming above their heads, heavy and almost choking. 

They would carry this weight together. Would restructure things, would do what they had wanted to do for Amity before the Barriers. They’d work together to rebuild the Realms, make it safer, make it safe for those newly dead. 

No matter how long it took, no matter how hard it would be to fix the destruction they had wrought in this meaningless battle. (“Danny, you’re the spokesperson,” Sam spoke up, thorn-like scales ruffling. “You’re most familiar with the realms thanks to the Infinimap.” Fair. “We’ll need allies, we’re only nine people.”)

(“Let me talk to the egyptian afterlife,” Tucker sounded exhausted, hood folding back. “I’m most familiar with them… Star, Paulina, you’re both Princess Dora’s favorites-”)

(“We can do it. Just give us time.” “Maybe a to-do list.” “Clockwork. We need to talk to Clockwork, he’d be most familiar with this.” “Rest first, nerds. We’re all… exhausted.”)

(Valerie laughed tiredly, blades melting to heal a broken horn. “Time isn’t linear here Dash. You know that. I know that. For once we’re the ones with time to spare.” It would take years to get things up to snuff. Make things Safe for when they could bring their families here.)

Their eyes opened as the now flimsy chains shattered, a smile stretching across the shared face of their humanoid form. Soon. They could return to the mortal realm soon. Just a little more, and they could see their little ones.  They'd waited a thousand years, they could wait a few days more.

Thank the stars above that gear stays with you through the loops and at least, during the subsequent times this has happened, loop actually had siffrin’s outfit on. Not that it made it any less painful

As for the heterochromia thing. The others. Do notice.

Loop doesn’t quite understand why the others look at them that way, at first. They assumed they looked exactly like siffrin. After all, loop didn’t know what they looked like as a star. Barely had time to know they looked any different, as not-quite-siffrin.

…but loop is quite skilled in the art of excuses.

Maybe, eventually, they take the eyepatch….. but i also just like drawing them without it.

They've been doing a lot of planning for this, spending a lot of money on their outfit, maybe they're even the host*ess... so there is no way in the world they're not going, even though they're all sniffly and sneezy - trying to be as discreet about it as possible (out of courtesy mostly). And then there's that one person among the servants, following their every move and noise with their eyes and ears - making excuses to offer them anything ever so often, or ask for instructions on how to proceed with the evening program. Maybe at some point in time it's too obvious and they will maybe ask for some help with their make-up or clothing as an excuse to go somewhere more private.

Beware of fake sisterhood. Female solidarity isn't real. Yes we need each other but we also need real mutually beneficial relationships.

Motherhood discourse with the whole "but single childfree women need to help we're all in this together🥺🥺🥺" bullshit is proof that even women wouldn't leave women who go their own way alone. Everyone needs & uses women for labour, as a scapegoat, or as a sacrifice.

It is underestimated how much women use other women to survive under maIe supremacy. The trads use the likes of feminists presence to virtue signal being the "better" women. The mothers who expect labour from other women to pick up the slack of their children's father (only to still prioritise him anyways). Sex-posi feminists encouraging other women to have dangerous 'sex' with maIes or offer themselves to help with "maIe loneliness" even though most times they won't do the same. Women in relationships with moids use their -typically- single friends as therapists/emotional dumpsters only to return to him anyways & even throw her friends under the bus for him.

Many will talk about "sisterhood" and how we're all in it together but the dynamic is often one-sided. Single childfree women aren't strong soldiers; they're also vulnerable especially as the amount of single/childfree women grows in size because that means less moids having slaves & reproducing. That means less people for the government to grind, less believers for religious institutions to exploit and keep the system churning. The economy makes it difficult to survive alone. Being a single childfree woman makes you an easier target yet other women wont help you, they want to use & discard you. They say we're all in it together so we dont leave them behind.

In Ep45 Desperate Measures, Minkowski really needs the SI-5 (particularly Jacobi) to believe that she will shoot Maxwell if they don't back down. In that particular situation, she's desperate to be seen as unafraid and ruthless. If she can convince the SI-5 that she is willing to kill Maxwell, she can avoid having to find out whether she is. Only by giving the impression of being relaxed about violence can she avoid having to commit it.

But her hands betray her. As Minkowski points the gun, Maxwell notices how "her hands are shaking. A lot." Minkowski can't hide that sign of how on edge she is, no matter how much she might want to. Maxwell tells this to Jacobi with a little laugh, giving it as evidence for her certainty that Minkowski won't kill her. Jacobi believes Maxwell's assessment of the situation, but her assumptions are wrong; Minkowski fires that gun with her trembling hands. She's not the sort of person who can kill with steady hands, ruthless and unafraid. But she can still kill.

Later, in Ep53 Dirty Work, Minkowski claims "even in that moment, I didn't mean to do it... the noise. The explosion. It was a reflex. I think it was." I don't entirely believe this explanation of the incident, but I do think there is probably some element of instinctive motion involved when Minkowski pulls that trigger. In which case - contrary to Maxwell's assumptions - the lack of calm suggested by Minkowski's shaking hands could have actually contributed to her shooting Maxwell. If her hands are shaking, her reflexes are probably tensed, and her finger is trembling on the trigger, which just needs one small movement to fire...

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS SHOW.

If it hasn't been apparent enough, I adore this show. From the first episode to the last, everything works for me. The casting. The cinematography. The dialogues. The ost. Every single thing hits right. It includes almost all of the tropes I like. The humour is just right for me. And same goes for the dark scenes. I cannot coherently explain how much I love this show. And I've watched plenty of dramas but this will probably remain the best drama I've ever watched. I also love the parallels the show draws. And I also love that it didn't end the usual way and left Vin to be the amazing villain he is and HCY to be the badass lawyer she is. Hands down, the best drama I've ever watched.

Ah, thanks so much! Unfortunately, I can't do much about the shipping costs, as is, both USPS and FedEx are about to increase their rates again, and I'm barely breaking even on those costs already 🥲. Let him call, because again, Agasa was the one who set up this secret, he should be the one defending it. Again, the parent shows up out of the blue here, but I kinda wish they didn't. Because Shinichi's the protagonist, he has to deal with everything in the end, but I want Agasa to be confronted. Have him make up more lies. Bring in the parents slower, have them contact Kogoro to arrange for Conan to stay long term and work out payment. Ran asks about the parents and Kogoro is like 'oh it's fine, they're covering his stay', and Conan's going '...? ???????'. Agasa denies having anything to do with it on Yuusaku's orders. Conan frets about it for a while and they actually see how he'd react to potential unknown danger. And then spring the 'kidnap him' trap to fully show him what could possibly happen.

But I guess just 'kidnap him and potentially give him a heart attack to prove that death is a real possibility' without any setup or warning is fine, too, sure.
