Wm38 edge(w) vs aj styles where priest interferes and judgment day forms officially

Raw 4/4/22 edge has promo crowd chants ‘we are sheep’ then priest starts his promo and the crowd immediately chants ‘we don’t care’ and then ‘we want rusev’ respectfully this crowd should shut the fuck up. AJ styles runs in beats on the heels but TJD has a numbers advantage so they beat up AJ and edge and priest do this leg sweep spear thing.

Raw 4/11/22 priest vs styles (no contest) (also dom dom taken out in an ambulance not related just shows how time flies lol) hearing damian with his old song is weird also king is on commentary here. I wish king was on commentary the last time they were in Memphis. It would've been nice to see. AJ gets busted open pretty early on in the match. That was certainly an ending… I knew there was some supernatural shit in early judgment day but what was that?

Raw 4/18/22 naomi+banks(w) vs. l4b (this is a surprise tool that will help judgment day later) she is such a dom in this match i love mother. Her little hoop fell out but i was mostly thirsting over how hot rhea looks when she angy. (also notable finn loses the us title on this raw) now for the edge and damian promo and yeah what the fuck was that damian? Edge roasts the fuck out of buffalo.

Raw 4/25/22 edge likes the word omnipotence. Lol edge takes shots at the tennessee volunteers and kane here. Priest(w) vs. Balor HES JUST STANDING THERE MENACINGLY!! Also judgment day finally gets their name. I like damian’s old theme even if it doesn’t fit judgment day damian.

Raw 5/2/22 Priest vs Styles(w). I LOVE THE OLD JUDGMENT DAY NAME PLATES! Also the pyro went off at the wrong time during the entrance. I love edge just roasting cities. Styles wins on a rollup that looked awful then edge and damian start beating on aj until finn saves the day. 

Lynch+Ripley+deville vs morgan+asuka+belair(w) (look i know this isn’t judgment day but heel rhea is heel rhea and is important to the story. Also remember when women main evented?) becky shouldn’t be a heel. Jack-o-lantern pants in may is such a rhea thing. 4 of my fave women's wrestlers in the ring at the same time makes me happy. Deville takes the pinfall loss.

Backlash 5/8/22 edge(w) vs styles. The ring announcer was really sucking off edge here. Holding a ppv in such a tiny arena is so odd even for wwe of that time. This match is a very hard hitting one. Wow I wonder who could be that masked figure? Omg its pre-mami rhea ripley who would've guessed.

Thoughts on The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday Part 2

“Christmas is officially back on!” And apparently, a city news reporter like yourself has the power to declare a holiday uncanceled. Why is Diane not in this again?

The others’ reactions to Snake getting all touchy-feely 🥹. OMG I WANNA HUG HIM SO BAD!!! (At the same time though, the close-ups on his face during this scene are so off-putting that it kinda ruins the moment for me.)

“That vortex is about to suck in the whole city, we don’t have time to be mad at me.” Sure, Wolf. Act like endangering your only friends isn’t worth getting angry over. You’ve really disappointed me this time. 😔

In all fairness though, at least he does apologize and admits how much the others mean to him. And I love how the other guys pretend to be disgusted but at the same time are moved to tears, while Snake is just like, “Yeah, whatever 😒.” (Even though we all know he’s bawling on the inside.)

The scene right after Shark is tossed out of the vortex without his shirt…the characters look like they’re literally floating off the ground…

That one random guy getting sucked into the vortex is actually pretty funny…in a “WTF is this animation?” kind of way.

“Are you seeing this?” No, Tiffany, all I see is your badly-animated face. Now please get it out of mine. XD

Aww, that’s adorable how the Bad Guys try to save each other from the vortex 😊…Now can we talk about the fact that the animators clearly just took still images of Piranha and Tarantula and moved them around?

Wolf’s motions as he’s falling out of the Santa bot…again, what is this, the Looney Tunes? Oh and nice dust effect when he lands by the way. I feel like this was made for a PlayStation 2 game, not Netflix.

Wait…so, the promo for this special clearly showed Shark in a Santa suit…but the closest we get to him cosplaying as Santa is him doing a voice. What. 😐

Oh, and since the Bad Guys were exposed to potentially-lethal, freezing temperatures, they all end up sick on Christmas. And Wolf has the gall to complain despite being the reason it happened. Just be thankful it’s only a cold and not frostbite, buddy.

In all seriousness though, I feel bad for them. Like, I wanna make them all better, but mostly Snake. He looks soooo miserable and I can only imagine how as a kid he must have had no one to take care of him when he was sick. That is so heartbreaking. And when he says “Bah humbug” in the middle of sneezing? Awww, poor baby! 🥺

Apparently, Santa really does exist in this universe and the Bad Guys are miffed that they ended up on his Nice List. Which…kinda seems out of character in all honesty. Like…wasn’t them being treated as something other than criminals the reason they turned good in the movie? They’re not disgusted by the concept of good (except maybe Snake); They just don’t understand it. Now I see why people had a problem with this being set before the movie.

And we end with the Bad Guys planning to heist the North Pole…which would have made a much better, much more interesting holiday special. If this does become a series, I hope they make an episode out of that.

And before we get to my final thoughts, let’s see which of my predictions for the special came true:

There will be at least one reference to the Grinch-✅ Yep! And a Die Hard reference, too, surprisingly.

The gang will have a Christmas tree with stolen jewels for ornaments-❌ Nope. I don’t think they had any decorations in their hideout or at least none I could see.

Wolf will get a good tingle from saving everyone’s Christmas-❌ Nope. The opposite happened. He apparently hates the idea of being seen as good now. 🤨

Shark will be a mall Santa-❌ We don’t see him in a mall and the only likeness to the man in red he gives is his voice, so I’m gonna say no.

Piranha will have a holiday-themed musical number-✅ Got that one!

Someone will call Snake a “Scrooge”-❌ Nope. He acts like him and even says “Bah humbug,” but no one outright calls him that.

Also, Snake will secretly hate Christmas because of some past trauma-❌ They don’t say or even imply it, but let’s be honest: we know he has some form of trauma from Christmas.

Diane will only have a cameo-❌ Sadly, no. They were determined to keep her out of this special, apparently.

Luggins and Tiffany will return-Well, this one is half right.

The Bad Guys will have a gift exchange with stolen goods-❌ Nope. Go to luonnonvalinnat for that one ‘cause you ain’t gonna find it here.

Final score: 2.5/10. Wow. Either I don’t know the Bad Guys as well as I thought, or the creators of this potential series don’t know how to write them. Eh. I’m going with the latter.

As for the special itself? It's a 5/10 for me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we got to see the gang again and I'm even more glad we might get to see their shenanigans in a spinoff series some day. And even though it was kinda dumb and there was potential for it to be even better, I didn't mind the story that much. The voice acting is good enough, even if I don't recognize anyone's name except Grey DeLisle. It's the ANIMATION that really kills this thing for me. My god, what a trainwreck. Like, no joke, there were several times throughout this thing where I just wanted to look away because the characters were just...so ugly! I get that this is the result of a low budget, and they couldn't make it as fluid as the movie's animation. The problem, of course, is that the animation in the Bad Guys movie is SO beautifully fluid, even removing like 1% of its fluidity makes it look terrible. They probably should have done what Captain Underpants did and just made the whole thing 2D. At least then it would have looked somewhat appealing.

I don't know, if you haven't seen this special yet and are curious about it, I say just buy the novelization instead, because this alone is not worth a subscription to Netflix. Plus, the novelization includes a bonus chapter of the Bad Guys on New Year's, so there's that. And if you have seen the special, let me know what you guys thought about it. i've finished the demo! do you think the last scene will change depending on origins? there is a possibility like alchemist would be more link to leander. it's advertised as a dark gothic romance novel for mature audiences but i think since the game is nowhere near finish, they cannot put an age rating on it yet.

ais might be the true route for the game like with other otome games, you have to play the characters in certain order to reach the final/canon ending/route.

the star chapter: sanctuary - txt

initial: i don’t have particular hopes or expectations for this album. from the previous, i know it won’t be an instant love, but i’ll enjoy it. so far the songs remind me a bit of their english promos. blue hour -> thursday’s child was the perfect run for me, and no song (by literally anyone in any genre) will probably ever top “chasing that feeling,” so every project that we get from them now is just confetti to me. i love them + they’ve already given me my favorite music in the world, so i don’t have any huge expectations going into it. i know i’ll like the mini, and there will be songs that i end up loving, too. tomorrow was a huge grower for me, so i’m excited to get to know sanctuary and see where it takes me ✨

heaven: it’s sweet + dreamy. i’ve had time to get used to it bc of the shorts they’ve been releasing. the melody + instrumental remind me a lot of their english free fall tracks. it’s not the same, but it’s like a sister track to them. on second listen, she’s a v sweet opener that sets you up well for the album experience

over the moon: i like it. i think it will grow on me a lot as an easy listening song. the beginning of the chorus reminds me of “open always wins” which is complementary bc i like that song a lot. i love the post-chorus. the visuals of the mv are so pretty, especially when they’re dancing in the sanctuary. it feels too short though. it felt like it was building to a bridge that would have really tied things together and a final strong chorus, but instead it just ended. it’s good, but it definitely could be so much more if it was extended

danger: not really my sound but that’s chill. hyuka sounds really great here 🤍 there will be a time when i get really into this song

resist (not gonna run away): i like the percussion a lot. i want to see a live performance a lot.. i think this is a song meant for performances. somehow.. it reminds me of sugar rush ride. i like songs that have a desperate feeling to them. i think she’ll be v popular with moa + casuals

forty one winks: oh i forgot they had a dem jointz track until i heard the tag. it suits them to have a song like this each release. they released a fan chant for this i think? so maybe they’ll be promoting this then??

higher than heaven: ohh she’s so fun. this will be sooooo great with a live band omg. i like it so much. and we got a [hyuka?!] bridge!!!!!!! ✨🤍💫🌟 yeah she is the one for me for sure. great album ender too 🫶 maybe it will be a bit divisive but i think the people who like it will absolutely adore it + defend it with their lives. relistening and it’s just so lovely. this is such a feel good song. it’s going straight to the “songs to get me through the worst moments of my life” playlist 🥰 also rocketing to the top slots of the bsides of 2024 🌟

i think it’s the use of falsetto + autotone effect that reminds me of their english releases. it pops up both their + here a lot

i wish the songs were longer + we had more bridges. it’s not a them issue (somewhat a hybe issue 😔), but an overall issue with kpop release rn.

my feelings will change a lot as i listen more. it’s not my thing on first listen, but i do like it. it took a minute for me to really enjoy tomorrow, and i outright hated temptation (outside of farewell, neverland) for months, so i’m not concerned.

sonically + thematically it seems v cohesive. i <3 concept albums

standout tracks are “resist (not gonna run away)” and “higher than heaven.” i really like “higher than heaven”, though. many, many things there that align well with my taste

currently on fifth(?) listen of “over the moon” and she is definitely growing on me. she won’t be one of my favorite TTs, but i get her.

overall the mini is really fun. it’s a different concept than i expected from the teasers, but ig the lover version aligns the best with the overarching theme of the album. it’s a p different sound from their other releases, while still feeling v them. you can definitely see glimpses of previous releases in each song. it really is a happy release.

i think tomorrow -> sanctuary is so upbeat and hopeful. there’s a lot of optimism looking toward the future and while these might not be my favorite minis from them, they absolutely are what i need right now, so i’m thankful + happy for them too ^-^ i’ve followed txt musically since 2021, but this is only my second cb actually following them as a group and experiencing mvs and stages and knowing the members. they really do inspire so much thankfulness within me, which is something i’ve been missing lately. i do honestly feel v lucky to be a fan of them 🩵

That said, here are my thoughts on the album itself.

I'll be honest, guys. While I liked most of the individual songs, I was a little bit disappointed because I'd expected something so different. I thought it was going to be 13 individual sleepless nights, but it doesn't feel that way. Some of them don't feel all that distinct, thematically or sonically. The album art and promo stuff were so melancholy-seeming? And the songs were pretty much all boppy, reputation/1989/lover vibes—which is great! But just not what I expected.

That said, I would listen to all of the songs again. I will continue to celebrate them and the album and the era! But there were times I couldn't hear her singing over the instrumentals.

BnHA Chapter 292: You Say Jeans

Previously on BnHA: Horikoshi was all “well anyway here’s that Touya reveal I foreshadowed like a million years ago, viva la 2020.” Dabi was all “hello world, I’ve killed 30 people and today I’m going to explain to you all why” before he proceeded to explain ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but everyone was so distracted by his tale of child abuse and hero conspiracies that they didn’t much seem to notice. Can’t Ya See-Kun’s Shark Friend was all “IS THIS THE END OF HERO SOCIETY AS WE KNOW IT”, and Horikoshi was all “STAY TUNED”, and then Dabi set himself on fire and leaped off of Machia’s back like the chaotic evil, I-just-bleached-all-my-brain-cells weird little fire man he is, ready to burn everyone to crispy bits before they could even react properly to his whole big revenge speech. Fortunately he did not succeed on account of THE RETURN OF THE JING, THE JOAT, BEST FUCKING JEANIST, back from the dead by popular demand in what critics are calling “the best fucking comeback since Jesus himself.”

Today on BnHA: Best Jeanist snatches up Machia and the rest of the League with his fiber steel cables before you can say “more like BEAST JEANIST amirite.” Dabi gets all worked up and lights Hadou on fire which is a real JERK MOVE, and is all “THIS RIGHT HERE IS ALSO ENDEAVOR’S FAULT”, which, NOT SUPER CONVINCED ON THAT, BUT OKAY. Anyway so then he burns up all the cables holding him which is crazeballs btw, and then he and Shouto start fighting, and so basically the whole thing is a literal hot mess and we’ll see how that goes. Meanwhile Tomura wakes up and summons some Noumus, and poor Jeanist has to deal with those on top of the still-attempting-to-rampage Gigantomachia, and everyone else is all “we can’t help you on account of we’re all half dead”, and so it’s looking really bad. And then -- and I can’t stress enough how much I don’t even have the faintest idea how to segue into this next part -- the chapter ends with Mirio!?! just sort of POPPING UP OUT OF THE GROUND all, “SURPRISE, BITCH”, and it literally was so surprising that I am still just kind of speechless. WELL-PLAYED, I GUESS, lol wtf.

lol okay so the first page in the RHA scan is just the “three musketeers” movie promo image that we all already saw a few days ago. but it does confirm that (a) it is indeed a movie, and (b) that it’s set for a summer 2021 release! how exciting
