I really love how these colours go together in a scattered gradient, there are five different colours but aside from the fairly clear bronze zone they blend quite subtly!

All I know about the new descendants movie is osmosis from tumblr and combining that with the media I think of when someone says Alice in Wonderland is making for tbh the movie in my brain is probs very different than what I've heard the new one is like.

And that media is the Royal Ballet's Alice in Wonderland. Its a lovely comic ballet, and my favourite dances are The Mad Hatter's Tea Party (tap! in a ballet! also in this clip played by Steven McRae, who i want to know more about and watch more of his stuff as i have heard good things about from other dancers I know), and the Tart Adage, which is frickin hilarious. (also the way that the King of Hearts just droops around in the background and its like yup. thats Red's dad apparently.)

So uh everyone should watch these clips simply because they're amazing and I love them.

While I’m talking asoiaf dragons, Shrykos’ (Prince Jaehaerys’ she-dragon) name seems to have been heavily inspired by the Shrykes, the green-scaled lizard-men of far eastern Essos (literally only one letter of difference). Which also tracks with the one scene we have where Jaehaerys appears (no, I’m not counting his death-scene), which consists of Viserys telling him and his siblings a fictional tale about Jaehaerys I battling fantastical creatures beyond the wall. I therefore conclude that she likely had green-scales as her base-colour. As well as that Jaehaerys was plugged into all kinds of tales and legends about even far-away places.

options, people, options!

please refer to the previous post if you want more details/rambling on what ive been thinking (and also references of this section)

so ive cut out all i said i was going to, and now is the first look on how it could go together! these first three are with the camel brown colour and the various grass options

and the next ones are with the orange colour (and grass!)

as usual the camera is kinda fucking with the colours but i think these are at least giving a good impression of how they all go together finally!! heres a couple pictures closer up with more accurate colours hopefully

im still not sure about the contrast on the lighthouse, but its definitely not too bad! i think ill start on the rest of the lighthouse pieces next and get a better look all together, but aside from that!!!

what are we thinking, are any of these looking good?
