Bi - Weekly Plant Update !! [00]
Tumblr media
(Just a little series where I update everyone on how my plants are doing and yap about them in general :3🙏)
((Sorry in advance for any typos/bad punctuation💀🙏))
Okay!! So, I figured that a good way to begin this series would be by introducing my plants and their lore! (Dun dun duuun!!) ((Basically just how I got em)) :33
So, around the start of my Freshman year, I signed up to be apart of this STEM group where we learned to code, connected with nature or something, and learned how to use power tools 💪💪
During one of our meetings, we were tasked to build a greenhouse, which we'd then attach a sensor to monitor the humidity inside of said greenhouse, thus making it easier to gauge when to water whatever plant would end up inside of it.
Sadly, the computers never ended up connecting, so we just moved on to the next thing :(
Cut to sometime around,, January? By this point the program was over and we'd "graduated" from it. We had a small party where we drove water boats or something around this pool, got to eat food while the staff congratulated us for going to all of the meetings, and at the end they gave us a little gift (I got headphones ^_^), as well as the greenhouses we built and a small plant to go in it !!
And that's how my plant collection started, with my first baby,, Tennis Ball !! (The name my friend recommended ;P)
Tumblr media
Look at him!! Look at my baby boy!! :D
But of course, after having Tennis Ball for a few weeks, I couldn't just,,, not get another plant,,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So that's how I got this cool baby !!
Around my family, he's Stan A. But around my friends, he's Stank ass 🙏 (No, he doesn't smell, ((I don't think he does atleast)), I just thought it was a funny name ^_^)
Then, a couple weeks later at a flea market with my grandparents, we found this lady selling plants, and that's how I got this fella:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This little guy here is Basketball !! :33
At some point I actually did forget his name and would refer to him as "little orphan boy" because he came in a square container, thus meaning he was an outcast amongst the others (no, I will not expand upon this-).
Then, maybe like, a week later(?) Me and my dad were at a Lowes so he could buy cow manure or something for his plants, and he pointed out the little shelf of succulents and was like, ",,do you want another one? Maybe one of the ones that look like an actual cactus?"
So me, having already three plants by this point, looked at all the succulents, at all the colorful flowers with cool dye, and said, "ykw,,, why not,," and grabbed the only one that wasnt full-grown,,
Tumblr media
And that's how I got Bob!! The only cactus that didn't have a flower ^_^
He also came with a cool little plastic thing on top that I could hold him by :3
All of these photos are from last year, so here's a recent photo I took about two(?) days ago so you guys can compare them and see how far they've come!! :D
Tumblr media
As you can see, they've all been moved into terracotta pots !! This is because (as you can see with Stank Ass) they were getting too big for their containers, as well as the fact that my dad thought it'd be good for them because their dirt wasn't exactly the best.
And don't they just look so nice? :]
They’ve all actually come a pretty long way since when I first gotten them- and I've come a pretty long way in terms of caring for them as well!!
Admittedly, leaving a plant in the hands of someone who forgets to eat unless reminded isn't the best idea, but I'm pretty glad I've got them !!
They're my babies and I love them as if I birthed them 🙏🙏 <33
Anyways,,, if you've gotten to this point then congrats!! And thanks for reading all this too ^_^ Even if you clicked on this and skimmed it, I'm just happy to be able to share my love of succulents with someone else !! :D

"Unveiling the Wonders: The Advantages of Cultivating Succulent Plants"
Tumblr media
Introduction: Succulent plants have surged in popularity, gracing homes, gardens, and social media feeds with their unique charm. Beyond their eye-catching appearance, succulents boast an array of advantages that make them an exceptional choice for both novice and seasoned plant enthusiasts. In this blog, we'll explore the many benefits of cultivating these captivating plants.
Low Maintenance Appeal: Succulents are renowned for their resilience and ability to thrive in arid conditions. Their water-storing leaves and stems mean they require minimal watering compared to other plants. This low-maintenance nature makes them perfect for busy individuals or those new to gardening.
Diverse Aesthetic Appeal: With a vast array of shapes, colors, and sizes, succulents offer a diverse aesthetic that can complement any space. From the intricate rosettes of Echeveria to the striking vertical growth of Aloe Vera, succulents provide endless possibilities for creative and visually appealing arrangements.
Adaptability to Various Environments: Succulents are versatile and can adapt to a variety of environments, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings. Whether adorning a sunny windowsill or enhancing a drought-prone garden, succulents are adaptable companions that flourish in diverse conditions.
Air-Purifying Properties: Beyond their ornamental value, succulents contribute to a healthier living environment. Some varieties, such as Aloe Vera and Snake Plant, are known for their air-purifying capabilities, filtering out toxins and improving indoor air quality.
Propagation Ease: Propagating succulents is a straightforward process, making it an enjoyable aspect of succulent ownership. Many succulents readily produce offsets or "pups," allowing for the creation of new plants with minimal effort. This not only adds to the collection but can be shared with friends and family
Stress-Relieving Qualities: Gardening, in general, has been associated with stress relief, and tending to succulents is no exception. The act of nurturing these hardy plants can be a therapeutic and calming experience, providing a welcomed break from the demands of daily life.
Conclusion: In embracing the allure of succulent plants, one discovers a myriad of advantages beyond their visual appeal. From their low-maintenance requirements to their air-purifying properties, succulents have earned their place as cherished companions in homes and gardens worldwide. Whether you're a seasoned plant enthusiast or a beginner looking to greenify your space, succulents offer a unique and rewarding journey into the world of botanical beauty.

Sunday plant update!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My dearest Portulaca is still flowering every day and it's amazing and resilient.
The Pothos is growing new leaves but no roots? Is it normal?
And lastly the Dahlias are a bit chewed up by a snail infestation but I am getting rid of them all, I haven't seen any new bites in the last few days.

Girl, it’s time to get out of your own way. You’re too gifted to rot away and suppress your magic. Start facing your fears and conquer them. For once, allow yourself to flourish.🌹
