Ok, let's see, I'll start with two of my new fav books ever, both written by Debra Flores:

So I just finished rewatching Hocus Pocus (bc I'm planning on reading Hocus Pocus and the All-New Sequel and wanted to refresh my memory) and honestly, this movie works really well in the Charmed verse?

The strongest point is that the Sanderson sisters are totally evil witches. They betray the Wiccan Rede but don't steal powers, so they remain witches rather than warlocks. They each have a dominant magical power like most witches in the series do. (Winifred has electrokinesis, obviously. Mary has an enhanced sense of smell, which. proof that they're not warlocks bc what power is that to steal? I initially thought that Sarah's was suggestion, but it's actually enhanced allure or luring like the Siren and Darla the succubus.)

Their book, which would technically be a grimoire, has similar magical protections and abilities like the Halliwells' Book of Shadows. Whenever the sisters mention their mother, it's implied that she was also a witch who passed her magic and knowledge on. (You could even theorize that she was a good witch which is why the sisters keep calling their book Book bc of habit from when it was a Book of Shadows.)

Instead of being responsible for their powers or something, they could've made a deal to serve someone who went by the Devil moniker or the master for more power/immortality, especially since Winnie seems to be able to use necromancy like a demonic alchemist.

Additionally, Thackery, while not technically a familiar, may have been acting as one anyways because of his curse. If he interacted with other familiars (such as Kit/Katrina), that might help explain how he learned more about magic in the meantime.

I also have always loved the idea that Allison is actually a witch. There's the way that she's called a "good little white witch" at point in the film, which is admittedly loose evidence but great inspiration. Her mother apparently worked at the Sanderson sisters museum, but it's also been closed down for seemingly quite a while with the amount of dust and cobwebs, so why would she be so familiar with it? It could be a situation similar to Paige's storytime where her mother tells her about it to prepare her in case. Allison's family could be witches guarding the book and candle to keep it from falling into evil witches' hands.

Allison may have not been told that she was a witch bc of the possibility of it skipping generations in her family, but she was still taught that would be relevant. If she did develop a power, I'm actually partial to intuition because a) she sensed something was wrong before they knew that the witches were back which is why they grabbed the salt in the first place and b) she seemed to know that Max was going to do something reckless to his life before he did anything. (None of this is strong evidence lmao, but it's fun.)

Dani would totally become a witch practioner after finding out about it. I don't think Max would, but I think he'd learn a lot about it to prepare in case anything else happened and bc Dani and Allison are into it.

But I definitely think that the film could've happened in the Charmed universe!!

This is the WIP I'm actively working on. the lie is beautiful - Nanny AU, Derek is a filthy rich, married CEO and Stiles is the live-in nanny. A sordid affair and lots of angst ensues. Just over halfway done and 32k in. I'll most likely be picking this back up once above college baseball au is complete. say nothing - Succubus AU, the gang find themselves facing a shape-shifting, seductive sex demon and some truths are revealed along the way. Literally just the smut left to write and 6k in. where i needed to be - One night stand mpreg AU, Derek and Stiles hook-up in a one night stand and Stiles disappears before Derek can get his number, only to reach out months later with the bombshell that he's pregnant - but by this time, Derek is dating Paige. A fifth of the way through and 4k in. things that death cannot touch - Laura resurrection AU, established canon-divergent Sterek, Lydia has a vision that Stiles can bring Laura back to life, but only at the cost of his own. Only the opening scene so far. how old your heart is - Age gap AU, the Hales are old family friends of the Stilinskis; the lone-surviving Laura and Derek move back to Beacon Hills when Stiles is 18 - and Derek is 30. Sneaking around and angst. Only the outline so far for this one.

I was cleaning the shelves at work yesterday while listening to my favorite childhood show “Crashbox” and I think to myself; “Self, I wonder if that demon family you know ever got around to watching the show and thought about what’s their most favorite game.” Welp, it’s a long shot but here I go.

Balthazor: Yep this one’s a no-brainer. According to episode 4 of “Neighbors From Hell”, he seems to really enjoy riddles quite a lot. And I thought “Hey! If he loves riddles, his favorite game should be “Riddle Snake!” He’ll have a blast at it!” Well, that’s only one of the two games I thought he would enjoy the most not because he’s a father that loves stuff like this but also alleviate grim situations. Next game I thought Balthazor would like the best is “Psycho Math.” It could just be me but I thought this would give him the thrill and excitement he wouldn’t normally see in Hell or Earth, I mean come on! The host of said game is Professor effin’ Rocket, for Satan’s sake!

Tina: Uhh yeah, I may be overthinking this one a little but I think she would dig either “Haunted House Party” for its atmosphere and having more than decent famous dead humans or “Mug Shots” for its female host and testing testimonies as well as jurisdiction. Hey just cuz she’s a housewife that doesn’t mean she can’t have fun. I mean really, let the succubus go at it!

Josh: No surprise here, his favorite games would be “Eddie Bull” or “Poop or Scoop” since they’re both animal-related games. Granted, he does like other stuff but I felt like this would be an appropriate answer for the little scalawag.

Mandy: I gotta be honest, this one’s probably a little tough since Mandy’s personality and interests weren’t all the way out there. At least not yet. Nevertheless I would say the games she would enjoy are “Sketch Pad” for the cool, hip vibes and “Paige and Sage” because of the valley girl theme.

Vlaartark: Oh boy, where to start with this? First off, he mentioned about something that involved his level with sophistication and elegance. I thought “Dirty Pictures” for its elderly hosts and paintings. (yes it’s called that but it’s not what you think, you sickos.) “Word Shake” for the host and the aforementioned premise of the game. Good luck trying to get through those games, old man.

Pazuzu: This one had to be easy and not because of the gobmutt having a rock-star look. I figured he would love “Radio Scramble” for its unique musical style and anagram puzzles. Oh my kami, if I could just hear him sing the songs the host would throw at us.

& reece why? idk. bit of a wild card here. but like. if phoebe realized cole was evil and like was ready to take him down but had to beat reece to the punch idk maybe she saves him from the bitey drain your brain demons and she’s like fine clean slate demons are real and i’m a witch cole is a demon so let me finish this but no. reece is in. becomes a pi for magic cases. slowburn. not quite enemies to loves but like. ice slowly melting. realizing at some point you care for the other type thing. three kids once again, starting with patrik, who has um. premonition, astral projection, suggeston. then pollux, who has levitation, deflection, sensing. and finally, paxtun, empathy, molecular deceleration, and um. fuck it. hyperspeed.

& leslie they had kids!! granted it was in a freaky alternate universe but it happened! this kids are soooo gonna meddle in everyone’s love lives. porter. first son, empathy, sensing, lie detector. second son, um. charles. goes by charlie. telekinesis. levitation. third daughter, lj. (leslie junior!!) she has cryokinesis and astral projection <3

& reznor girl who tf is this? aint that that fuckin um nin guy? nope<3 it’s the pirate from the pirate episode where phoebe’s like kill ur boss and he’s like damn ur right and he kills him which saves her & then he’s like thanks<3 and dies. but what if he didn’t die?? what if since he was the first mate the curse passed to him so he’s immortal but he now has the option to free the crew so he does he wants to start off life as a new man and what if!! phoebe & him fall in love <3 twins. um. laura and brian. these r both ancestors brian riffing off brianna. laura has telekinesis molecular combustion and levitation. brian has premoniton molecular immobilization and deflection.

& finn he’s a golem! can he have kids? prolly not! but in this au he can!! (to jog your memory, he’s from the ep where they sister got shrunk down in early s4). um so kids. paige doesn’t seem like a boatload of kids gal so just one she’s a real artsy type fuck it terpsichore (kori for short). powers included um essentially invulnerability she’s not fully flesh and blood so if you cut her arm off she’s just be like hey >:( and either reattatch it later or make herself a new on and projection which is initially accessed through her art (i think like kaela in the reboot tho admittedly i did not watch s4)

& rowan he’s the sexy vampire who honesly was not That sexy but a girl can dream. we’ve got vamp witches!! three sisters, triplets, neither rowan nor paige were expecting that, both are like aaaaaa!! but are ready to commit to the bit. hey man um. laurel, willlow, and cherry. they all have essentially a “life link” to one another, they an all borrow one another’s strength and if one is mortally wounded the others can each take -50% hp to save her. beyond that, they each have telekinesis and shapeshifting. they also can drink blood to strengthen themselves. on top of that, if the drink the blood of a magical being, they can temporarily gain their powers. their blood heals others. they are unable to turn people into vampires

& seamus i’m hoping you wiped the terrible irish accent from your memory but it’s a leprechaun episode what did you expect! just one daughter. aoife i’m naming the baby after you. her name is aoife she’s a pisces. her powers def include rainbow colored orbing. she can grant luck. she has telekinetic rainbow-ing. <3

& jinny but how?? paige & jinny r gay? yeah but jinny’s a genie baby! she can do whatever the damn hell she pleases. so they have a daughter. pavaneh. conjuration. telekinesis. orbing. looking like a baddie 24/7.

evil enchantress & the prince what?? the evil enchantress had her evil spawn baby!! oh no!! surely the world will plunge into like 1,000 years of darkness. unless..... paige technically that’s ur body too. um. wanna be a mom? congrats! paige & co are raising the baby of the evil enchantress & the prince, and the baby gets some whitelightery elements from gestating in paige. it’s fuckin weird, but it 100% could have happened on charmed i promise. kid is named halli (pronounce like halle like halle berry) like the halli in halliwell. bc the kid will have the last name matthews. elemental conjuration for sure. we’ve got fire, air, water, ice, earth, plants, & lightning. the kid can also orb. bada bing bada boom!

Paige was born in 1868 in Australia to two parents that loved her. She has an older brother that loved her. She had a very normal childhood. She wasn't as much into the rules at her brother, but she did enough. When her brother met Flint she was surprised by the turn of events.

She and Nikki get along which she's sure her brother is happy about as is Flint really. Even though she's still quite interested in what Flint and Nikki's actual relationship is.

She was confused when her brother told her he'd been turned into a vampire after a day out with Nikki. She watched Flint teach him, and Flint offered to turn her, but she couldn't accept. Because while her brother was waking up she was turned into a succubus.

She went with them when they moved to California, and she ended up being an assassin.

@paigemathews I have so many thoughts about how their powers should’ve advanced and evolved and how that ties into their OG powers. Phoebe should’ve never gotten levitation she should’ve gotten empathy which would allow her to feel emotions and physical sensations that would quickly advance to her being able to project those feelings onto mortals as well as demons. Psychically knocking them out by making them feel drowsy possibly projecting pain onto them even tho there’s nothing wrong.

Her empathy should also be used to make her develop a psychic link like she did with the Succubus when Prue became a man!

Give me all the thoughts about powers and power development, I am fucking obsessed with it man!! I also hardcore agree with you, because as much as I like levitation, it just completely threw off Phoebe’s powerset. Like I said, they were trying to juggle advancing three completely different powers for just Phoebe, without getting into power development for the other sisters or any other development for Phoebe and you just can’t really stick it like that.

I actually have a post in my drafts where I completely rewrite when/where/how Phoebe gets her powers (which I will eventually get around to posting). I agree with Phoebe getting empathy instead of levitation, but I actually would want her empathy to advance very slowly, especially in conjunction with Prue’s death, Cole’s turn, and her own fall into evil. But basically, Phoebe eventually manages to have: empathic healing, empathic manipulation and augmentation, and psychic reflection.

And all I’m saying is that imagine Phoebe in s4 thinking that she unlocked healing and was helping her sisters with Prue’s death and Paige’s adjustment, only to realize actually psych, she’s been manipulating their emotions. (Ft. Cole/the Seer telling her that they won’t understand but they do and that imagine how she could actually help in the Underworld and blah blah, plus means that Source!Cole gets Phoebe’s empathy augmenting his powers as a bonus.) 

As for psychic reflection (aka the projecting emotions and the thing she killed Cal Greene with), imagine: she gets it season six, same season she’s taken to trial for abusing her powers. Same season she straight up kills a guy. Same season she’s faced with Wyatt, her beloved baby nephew, being a murderous tyrant. Same season she temporarily gets evil powers. Same season she takes the next step in her relationship with Jason (moving across the world, telling him she’s a witch, telling him she loves him) as she steps away from her sisters (due to aforementioned moving across the world thing) just like she did with Cole. And give her the power that she saw herself use to kill a man in cold blood.

(Have I said before that s6 should have done more with Phoebe’s fear of being evil? Because s6 should have done more with Phoebe’s fear of being evil.)

Okay, I was gonna stop there bc I thought it was a cool place to end but alas, I cannot, will not shuttup about powers but psychic links?? Cool af and we really didn’t do much with them?? I mean, they make a lot more sense in connection to empathy than premonitions anyway but imagine the plots! Phoebe forming a link with a demon by mistake (or by demonic design), meaning that they can’t just vanquish him without vanquishing Phoebe? A whole murder mystery-esque thing where Phoebe is feeling the killer’s/victim’s emotions and they have to figure it out? I mean, there’s a lot to do with her being able to be in someone’s emotions or head!

Magic and Moonlight: Chapter 8

Colby

I had just arrived with the guys at our hotel for the night, arriving for our next appearance on the main roster. Thea was now home in Orlando. I wished it was Thea who told me, but it was Charlotte since she had told me Thea went right to her room after they arrived from the airport and hadn’t come back out since. It made me worry about her, but I was powerless to do anything being so far away.

Seeing as we had today off, I decided to look at doing some laundry here at the hotel. I opened up my bag that I had my dirty clothes in, finding the tank top Thea wore the night before she left. I buried my face into the material, enjoying the fact it still smelled like her. To me, Thea smelled of lilies, vanilla, and coconuts with a small hint of spearmint. I decided not to wash this tank top for now, wanting to keep her scent with me while she was gone.

As I went to continue digging out my dirty clothes out of my bag, I froze. I tensed immediately and Roman picked up on it instantly.

“What’s wrong, Colby,” he asked as he looked up from his own luggage.

“It’s Thea’s choker,” I grabbed the charmed piece of jewelry and held it up to Roman and Dean. They both paled at seeing it.

“Why is it in your bag and not on her,” Dean asked, “Her magic needs to be curbed until she can control it on her own?”

“I know, Dean,” I walked over to the bed and collapsed onto it, “I need to get this to her. I also need to tell her I have it.”

“Give her a call, Uce,” Roman gave me a pat on my back, “Dean-o and I will go and find a FedEx to get you supplies to ship it to her overnight.”

As the guys left, I scrambled to grab my phone. I found Thea’s number in my phone and I quickly called her. I hope she picks up this time. This is very important.

Thea

I was moping in my room, drained from panicking over not having my choker and from my magic growing a jungle in my room. I was so lost and alone without Colby being around. Charlotte opted to tell Triple H and William Regal that I was sick with very bad case of food poisoning from my flight, to buy me a few days to try to convince myself to pull myself together.

As I was moping in my bed, my phone started ringing. I knew by the ringtone it was Colby. I hadn’t talked to him since I had left him to board my flight. I swallowed hard and grabbed my phone and answered it before he’d be sent to voicemail…again.

“H-hello,” I answered, my voice just above a whisper because my throat was so raw from crying the last couple days.

“Thea,” Colby sounded so relieved to hear my voice, “Thank god you answered. I’ve been worried about you. Are you okay?”

“No,” I replied before I coughed from my sore throat, “My magic is out of control and I miss you.”

“I miss you too, babe,” he sounded so depressed, “I had a feeling your magic was going haywire. I have your choker. It’s right here in my hand. I found it in my bag. I’m going to ship it overnight to you. I know you need it to keep Morrigan and your magic in check.”

“You do not get to keep me in check,” Morrigan had taken over, “Listen, mutt. I like her not having control. I’ve missed being able to use magic. And I like my freedom. If you cherish your life or even hers, you’ll burn that cursed choker. Or I will make life hell for her.”

“Morrigan,” Colby got really angry, I knew he’d be pissed at her, “Put Thea back in control or I will get the next flight to Orlando and force this choker on your neck. I will not let you torture her. She’s tortured enough from my absence. Now stand down.”

“Colby,” I was finally back in control and completely drained of energy, “I don’t think I can fight her back anymore. I’m just so tired. But don’t send the choker to me. I’m afraid that it’ll get here when Morrigan is in control and she’ll destroy it.”

“I’ll see if I can book round-trip flights to get to you, okay,” Colby sounded so disappointed, “I’m going to come home to help you with your magic.”

“No don’t,” I quickly protested, “Just hang onto my choker and stay your course. I’ll work with the girls to get control. Please, just don’t throw away this chance to start your legacy, okay. I know how much this means to you, don’t give it up because of me.”

It’s been five months since Colby went up to the main roster. I was not getting any better with controlling my magic, or Morrigan, for that matter. The only time I had control was when Colby came back to Orlando to see me. Even then, I was a shadow of my former self. But when I was at NXT and the PC, I was my normal self, to an extent. Morrigan was in control during that time, and she was propelling up the card in NXT. I even came close to being the first NXT women’s champion, but Paige beat me in the final.

Now it was Wrestlemania weekend and I was out in New York with Colby. I was in control and I wasn’t having issues with my magic. Colby and I were stuck at the arena all day. Colby had to rehearse his entrance and the big spots for his match with Dean and Roman. So I stayed off to the side, playing with the cuffs of Colby’s hoodie he let me wear to stay warm in the cool April morning air, as I sat on top of the barricade around the ring.

“Thea are you okay,” I looked up to see Stephanie McMahon, “You look sort of dazed.”

“Yeah I’m okay Stephanie,” I replied, “Just a lot on my mind.”

“If you need to talk to anyone,” she rubbed my shoulder, “You can come to Hunter or any of your friends in NXT, okay. Hell, I’m sure Colby would love to help you too. He cares so much about you, he talks about how incredible you are. He’s truly smitten with you.”

I looked over at Colby, and by judging by the look on his face, she wasn’t lying.

When I had come home from Wrestlemania, I knew Charlotte was having a hard time due to her brother passing away. So I opted to move out of our apartment and went to live in Colby and Roman’s apartment. Seeing as I was very serious with Colby, it would be best for me to be living with him, even when he was gone most of the time. And being around his apartment and sleeping in his bed, started to help me control my magic since the smell of him was heaviest here. It was like he was always here. And it served the perfect place to do a long-distance dream walk with him.

“Hi Colby,” I greeted him as I entered his dream. We were in the middle of the ring in a random arena before a Raw show.

“Hey Thea,” Colby wrapped his arms around me, “Are you adjusting to living in our apartment?”

“Yeah,” I hummed as I buried my face into his chest, “Just wish I was actually in your arms right now.”

“I don’t,” we both turned to see Morrigan in all her glory, sitting on a turnbuckle, “I hate being on a damn leash.”

“I haven’t worn the choker, so relax,” I barked at her.

“Being around Colby’s scent is just as much as much as a leash as that stupid choker,” Morrigan grumbled.

“Just ignore her, Thea,” Colby lifted my chin and kissed me, “I miss these. I can’t wait to come home and lock lips with you for real.”

“How have you been,” I asked him, wanting to seriously catch up, “I know things have been crazy for you, seeing as you haven’t been in months.”

“Busy,” he sighed as he picked me up and plopped me down on a turnbuckle so he could stand between my legs and rub my legs lovingly, “The Wyatts have been thorns in our side lately and we’ve been putting on 6-man tag classics with them. How about you?”

“I’ve been hearing rumbling of me getting a call up soon,” I told him with a smile, “I’ve been wearing my choker at NXT and it has helped me stay grounded with my magic so I can make high-flying magic in the ring.”

I was backstage during the latest NXT taping when I was tapped on my shoulder by Triple H. I perked up and I turned around to face him.

“Can I talk to you in my office after the show,” he asked, “I have important news for you.”

I was pretty excited. Once the show was over I went to Hunter’s office and I knocked on his door. Once the door opened, I was greeted by Stephanie and Hunter. Once I walked into the room, Stephanie moved to lock the door behind me. I got a little nervous by that.

“Thank you for coming Thea,” Hunter greeted me.

“What did you want to talk to me about,” I asked.

“It’s about you moving to the main roster,” Stephanie answered as she paced around me, “But we have a stipulation for that.”

“What would that be,” I asked.

“We need The Morrigan,” Hunter crossed the room and pinned me to the wall.

“Why do you need her,” I asked trying to fight against him, “Let me go!”

“Not happening sweetie,” Stephanie held up a dark crystal as her glamour vanished, reveling that she wasn’t human, but a succubus.

“What do you want with Morrigan,” I asked, crying in fear as Stephanie came closer to me.

“To get to Colby,” Hunter replied, “To turn him on his brothers. This is the only way. We put the Morrigan in charge of your body, and he’ll be forced to choose between his pack and his mate.”

“No,” I cried out as Stephanie pressed the crystal to my chest, “No! Please don’t.”

The crystal sunk into my skin, searing it like hot hellfire. I screamed and cried as I struggled against Hunter. But I felt the fight in me wanning. I could feel Morrigan taking over. Soon I was silenced and sent into my own mind as Morrigan took full control.

No! Morrigan don’t let them do this to me. Please! This will destroy Colby.

I’m in control now, get used to it.

I was buried deep in my mind, waiting for Morrigan to fall asleep. This would be my only chance to dreamwalk to find Colby and warn him of what’s to come. Once she fell asleep I leapt into action and wandered around looking for Colby.

“Colby,” I screamed, calling for him. I was so relieved when he finally appeared in his dream.

“Thea,” Colby looked concerned at the panicked look on my face, “What’s going on?”

“It’s Morrigan,” I ran into his arms and began to cry, “She has full control over me. Hunter and Stephanie did something to me, making Morrigan take over me. Like swapping our places in my mind. Now I’m being affected by my choker while she runs around free to do whatever she wants.”

“Shit,” Colby suddenly tensed, “Hunter is using you to get to me and the guys. That bastard is going to pay for this.”

“What’s worse is I’m going to the main roster to be in the feud,” I started to cry again, “Colby, we have to stop them. We have to save me from them.”

“I promise you Thea,” Colby kissed my forehead, “This is not over. I’m going to free you. I will get Morrigan expelled from you so you can be free without a worry in the world.”
