not to be delusional on main but i truly believe that tomgreg has the potential to go canon. greg’s dad is gay and if there’s one thing this show loves it’s generational similarities (and why bother having that be a plot point if not for later use). tom’s open marriage and hesitancy to cheat but easy intimacy with greg. the eventual crumbling of said marriage and tom’s subsequent closeness with greg as a blatant replacement for shiv. the ‘would you kiss me’ line, the ‘you’re mine’ water bottle pelting scene, the forehead kiss. not to fucking mention nero and sporus. tom has killed his wife, pushed her down the metaphorical stairs, and all that’s left now is for him to dress greg in her clothes and kiss him on the lips. all i’m saying is that i think the writers of succession are too smart to lay all this foundation and not follow through. it’s too good a show for that.

Tom is so fucking funny like he’s such a weirdo and says the darnedest things that feel like you’re getting slapped in the face mid convo (”your earlobes are soft and chewy. Like barnacle meat”) and he’s so fucking awkward but at the same time like social anxiety is afraid of this man since he waltzes into every social gathering with some of the most important and richest people in North America, with zero shame, saying the most random shit, like this guy’s reputation must be shot, but also he’s fucking hilarious so If I knew him in real life I’d be excited to see him always
like remember at their wedding when Nate was there and he was like yelling at him like “don’t drink my fucking wine. Put that shit back. No, no, pour it back into the bottle, you’re not fucking having that. Yes, I’m serious, put it back into the fucking bottle. Don’t make a fucking mess all over my expensive white carpets”
or when he shamelessly flirting with Greg because they have some weird pyschosexual relationship going on that goes beyond cheating on your wife, or when he trashes Greg’s office because he was happy the yacht stuff was cleared up, or when he’s sleepy at the party, when he ate that fucking chicken off of Logan’s plate, his father in-law who has a bad relationship with everyone and has the shortest temper I’ve ever seen
But then every once in awhile he drops the weirdo fun guy kind of confusing thing and we see the sadness and exhaust of this poor man, sure he’s a piece of shit, they all are, but someday he just says stuff that hits my heart and leaves me thinking about it for days

I'm so honored to have watched all of succession literally 6 months before the final season aired.
That's amazing timing. I barely had to wait.
