Prison in the world of Cars
So Im currently in the process of writing chapter 8 of Behind Blue Eyes and said chapters' content has got me thinking about the various minutiae of prison systems within this universe. Here is my take on it.
Speed restrictors - In order to prevent any kind of escape attempt, speed restrictors would be fitted to inmates with a high flight risk to prevent any speed being reached above about thirty miles per hour. In some cases, it could be deemed necessary to decrease speed potential even further for the most dangerous offenders. But the use of these devices comes with a significant quantity of government regulation to prevent their misuse. The fitting of restrictors can cause engine issues in the long run and shouldn't be used without prior approval from a court.
Parking boots - Wheel cuffs. I needn't say much more than that. No moving for you! They can be used on both front wheels, both back wheels or all four wheels depending on requirement. But one or three parking boots should never be utilised as this can cause serious damage to the detainee if they were to try and drive.
Extension restraints - For particulary strong and violent offenders, axle extension restraints can be applied. Parking boots are the go-to for prisoner transport, which are heavy and cumbersome. But for strong vehicles who want to get a few punches in, the use of parking boots can be particularly hazardous to police officers. So these restraints can be utilised to prevent any damage to other vehicles or property that could be caused by the detainee.
Deep tread tyres - It would be damaging to a vehicle to force them to roll around on tyres with deliberately low pressure. So to increase drag for inmates, a thicker tyre tread is used. This has the added bonus of reducing the amount of replacements required during sentence duration, thus cutting down on costs. Although the tyres used increase the vehicles ability to grip into the floor and push or pull, the officers that respond to any issues with the prisoners within their care are usually able to subue them rapidly and effectively. Prison tyres are ugly and not comfortable to drive on.
Chemically engineered paint - With technological advancements and genius chemical engineering, the paint used on inmates is very specific and can be picked up from quite a distance away with the use of police scanners. It holds its own unique chemical formula that lights up like a christmas tree when scanned with the appropriate digital equipment. The colour is also utilised as a tell-tale sign as it is a highly distinctive and vibrant orange; the only orange paint of its kind. This paint can only be purchased for prisons, by prisons. To be in possession of this paint without the appropriate licensing carries both a hefty fine and a prison sentence. So if an unlicensed vehicle is caught with it, they will very quickly be wearing it. The chemical does, however, hold the unfortunate capacity to seep into and embed itself into the surface of metal through layers of paint, meaning that, even if a vehicle is released and repainted (repainted on the offenders dime might I add), they will still be picked up on police scanners. This leads them to be regularly stopped and questioned by police officers. This can be incredibly irritating to both parties, however it does allow officers to keep an eye on offenders that are on probation. Vehicles that are permitted to be external to the prison whilst on remand are sprayed with just the traceable chemical component of the paint, which is invisible to the naked eye. A small stencil is utilised in the form of the sigil of the police force that made the arrest. This makes them traceable to police, but prevents civilians from seeing that said vehicle could be facing criminal charges. For those that can afford the expensive procedure, this chemical is removeable by removing all layers of paint and primer and grinding down the surface layer of the bare metal. This can be painful, so a general anaesthetic is provided.
Fuel quantity control - As previously displayed in the first cars movie, fuel quantity is important when you want to try and escape from the cruel clutches of community service. The same principal can apply in prisons. Fuel intake is heavily regulated and no inmate is usually permitted any more than 1/8 to 1/6 of a tank at any time. There are exceptions to this in regards to specific jobs that inmates perform as some will require larger quantities to perform their duties. Which is usually met with seething envy.
GPS locators - This method is even more heavily restricted than the use of speed restrictors as it violates multiple data protection laws and vehicle rights legislation. However, in the correct circumstances, it can be very useful. This is only ever used for vehicles that are both incredibly dangerous and have a high flight risk.
Remote engine inhibition - A vehicles engine can be shut down at the push of a button after modifications to the programming of the ECU have been made. This method of inmate control is incredibly new and still in its theoretical stages and thus it is still being debated whether or not it is viable and vehmane. Considering its highly intrusive nature and possibly damaging consequences to both the escapee and the general public, if it were ever to pass into legislation, its useage would be very rare indeed.
Medical care - Each vehicle within the prison system must have a three monthly check up with a desigated mechanic and all new inmates must be checked once a week for the duration of three months. Considering high depression rates within prison systems, a lot of vehicles, especially first time offenders, will stop consuming oil due to stress. This can lead to sickness and fever/overheating, which causes severe issues in the long run.
Not all of the above restraint/tracking methods will be used in all cases as it will depend highly on sentencing requirements for specific individuals and the type of prison that they end up in.
I might update this at a later date if I think of anything else to add. But so far, this is all I've got.
In a nutshell, its INSANELY difficult for any vehicle to escape a prison. So Miles Axelrod is pretty fucked.

The conflict between witches and fairies (Headcannon)
1. How it started
So, at first it's just pure evolution stuff. Humans evolve from smth like a monkey on the planet to be named Magix in the future, nothing to see here. But the more time passes, the more interesting it gets, because it turns out that these weird human creatures (females mostly, bc magical energy of males goes mostly into additional strength) are capable of either light or dark magic, depending of what emotions they're genetically most likely to express. It's like people are born either right- or left-habded; it's kind of genetical stuff, but you can learn to use your other hand as a leading one if you want, it's just stuff you do with it won't be as good as when you do it with your real leading hand.
But it's not some hand, it's emotions we're talking about. And this is where I'm going to stop for a few moments to explain the differece between positive and negative emotions, and you'll get why the things between the witches and fairies are like that
To begin with, it doesn't work like "joy is a positive emotion and anger is a negative one". It all depends on context. For example, if you feel joy about your friend passing an exam, it's a positive emotion. But if you feel joy while seeing someone bleeding on the floor bc you just stabbed them, then it's negative. Also, if you're angry about someone being unfairly treated, the anger is giving a positive outcome. If you're angry about, say, someone being better than you, the outcome is negative. And yeah, to get a positive outcome you mostly should want smth for someone else, not yourself, otherwise, the outcome is most likely to be negative. Btw, this is part of why you sacrifice yourself to get an Enchantix. And one more thing. The stronger the emotion is, the more powerful outcome you get.
So, as you see, it already leads to the differences between witches and fairies. As time passes, a really long time, the emotions both groups tend to express become basic for them. This leads to forming two different mentalities. Like, witches have less moral standarts, they're more selfish and they'd rather do smth alone than together with someone else (but I'm talking about an average witch, ofc every rule has an exception).
To make it more clear,
Tumblr media
Here are 50 shades of grey.
Tumblr media
And here're the ranges for a witch and a fairy. Ofc I believe the're individuals who don't fit in this scheme (like, a morally black fairy), but those are super rare cases bc their magic simply won't work well.
Okay, I think you get the picure now XD To sum up one more time, witches and fairies are mentally different.
This difference led to misunderstanding and this is how the confict began. You know, people, especially in ancient/medieval times tend to think that they're the best, and the people who's not like them are wrong. So yeah, we get a conflict, which sometimes turns into a war.
2. How it's going
Now both witches and fairies try to get separated from each other, bc the one of those very few things they have in common is being sick and tired of wars.
As technology developed, two social groups started exploring and populating other planets separately, this is why most of their population are either witches or fairies, so the laws on them are beneficial only to the most represented social group (like, fairies have more rights than witches, if the planed is mostly populated by fairies)
Magix, which is almost equally populated with fairies and witches, is a different story. First governments represented interests of one of these groups, ingnoring the otger one, which led to rebellions and revolutions. Like, one mayor supported fairies, witches didn't like it, so they killed him and elected a new one who supported their interests and who is soon to be banished from Magix by fairies and we finished where we started. It influenced infrostructure of Magix a lot, since witches or fairies (depends on a period of history) were forced out into the suburbs, and now the whole city is a mixture of fairy and witch neighbourhoods. Stuff like that went on and on until some time before the present day (which is the beginning of the book, when the government (you won't believe it guys) decided to treat fairies and witches equally. Is it a good start? Yes, but here's the thing: fairies and witches are not the same. Like, an average witch is more likely to commit a crime than an average fairy (you remember about lower moral standards, right??). So, it would be great to, say, double security in the witch neighbourhoods. But is it an equal treating? Nope. Anyway, the present mayor is relying on his ideals more than on the statistics. (I'm not saying this is a terrible decision, maybe it'll work, who knows).
And ofc the separation of witches and fairies impacts social life in many ways. Like, from the businessman's POV, witches and fairies are two different target audiences, so there're unique clothes shops, cafés/bars, social media (more about social media in here) and stuff like that for each of them (I believe the only shops both social groups attend are tech shops and supermarkets, but still they're not likely to go to the very same shop, since there's commonly one supermarket/tech shop per neighbourhood). The staff that works there is (obviously) from the same social group as the target audience. Btw, some facts: the quality of goods is better in fairy shops, and the staff is treated better, bc of the mentality stuff I already explained :)
And about the society itself... Well, fairies are still treated better. If both fairy and witch apply for a job and the employer doesn't have anything against any of the social groups, the fairy is more likely to get this job, bc a whitch is still more likely to bring trouble. Also, there're no witches in the government, bc, again, according to the statistics, the witches are more likely to do smth for their own benefit, and with the level of tesion between the social groups, who knows what consequences it can lead to. But most of the jobs are taken be fairies and witchs almost equally. Reason? At least half of the fairy/witch neighbourhoods have their own primary/secondary schools, hospitals, shops, etc. and ofc mostly fairies/witches are working there, so the situation is not that bad.
3. How it may be in the future
It was the Trix who showed the danger of this conflict, and both fairies and witches agreed that the tension has to be reduced. So, the government established a project, mostly targeted on kids, teenagers and young adults (as they're more likely to be influenced). The project includes:
• merged classes of colledge and school students
• uniforms for all primary schools, secondary schools and colleges (more about it in here)
• exchange programs between witch and fairy colleges.
• reserved vacancies for representatives of a different social group in schools, hospitals, shops, etc.
• common events (like festvals)
The program is about to start in book 3 or 4 of my fic, so it's not possible to say whether it'll work or not. Now it's meeting resistance of the teenagers and young adults, but maybe it'll work in the very near future...

amiraaaaa!!!
1.) what roles do you and your f/o fall into (alpha/beta/omega/etc.)? what’s the dynamic like between you?
me & satoru are both omegas, and suguru is an alpha! they were a somewhat unconventional pair even before i came along, since toru doesn't look or act like most people think an omega "should", and sugu is more subued than most alphas, generally speaking. i'm a little more "traditional" of an omega, but only a little bit. we definitely get Looks when we're out in public all together, or if it's just me & toru, but none of us give a fuck bc we're happy 😌
3.) what scent does your f/o produce, if any?
satoru is almost too sweet; on normal days, he smells like peppermint and marshmallows, and when he's in heat, toasted caramel gets added to the mix.
suguru is more earthy; on normal days, he smells like cedar wood and moss, and when he's in rut, incense smoke gets added to the mix.
4.) what scent do you produce, if any?
my scent is surprisingly spice-heavy; on normal day i smell like nutmeg and maple, and when i'm in heat, allspice gets added to the mix.
