SONIC didn't know what happened his heart hammering in his chest as soon as he realized he was in the water. He attempted to go to the surface only to pause when something swam around the rocks near him. He might be afraid of the water, but he wasn't stupid enough to act with a possible predator watching him. He waited his oxygen getting low. He slowly started to swim to the surface only for the creature to lash out. sonics green eyes widen as the blue and green creature swam at him. He panicked unable to use his speed in the water. The creature dashing at him and grabs sonic with its sharp claws digging into his belly. Sonic gasps curling into a ball and using all his energy to spin dash cutting into the creature and freeing himself from its grip before diving into the tall coral. Sonic takes Shakey breathes as he finds a brain coral to fill his tank up and he hides nearby waiting for the creature to leave or help to arrive.

KNUCKLES looks around gathering materials for tail's project. He watches the sand sharks around him closely only pausing when he starts noticing fewer and fewer swimming around him. He lowers himself so he's blending himself in with the grass. Glancing up he tenses as his purple eyes lock on to Green and black ones. He huffs as the beast launches at him and quickly shove off the ground so has over the creature. grabbing onto the back of beast before getting a good look at it and scanning it. His purple eyes widen as it takes in the creature's features. it was like nothing he's ever seen. He flinched as he felt a stinging sensation on his hand when he brushed against the infection. He pulled away and hissed in pain before jumping off of it and swimming towards a cave beardly getting in it before the beast crashed into the entrances and growled. Knuckles pants softly sitting down and looking at his hand. he swam deeper find a brain coral to sit by as he pulls up his PDA to find a way to distract the creature and escape.

AMY looked around in fear she pulled out her hammer when suddenly realized how slow it made her. Her jade eyes widen as the creature before her slowly came closer. She swam backwards taking in the features of the huge beast before her. Her back hit the cave wall and her breathe hitch as she grips the rocks behind her and braces herself. She opens her eyes again after a few minutes of nothing happening only to see black and green eyes staring at her a few feet away. Her breathe caught in her throat in terror. A loud roar sounds in the distance, Amy flinched and in a blink of an eye the beast was gone almost as if it was never there.

TAILS fumbled around with the cords on his tank. He didn't know where he was or how he got there. He panicked as he looks around pulling out a scanning and emergency flotation device before pausing when spotting the black and green eyes staring him down from the coral below. Before Tails even blinked the creature charged at him. He gasped and spined his name sakes propelling him threw the water. He raced against the waves looking back and seeing the creature chasing after him. He moves to the left barely avoiding death before activating his flotation device flying up to the surface. Tails gasps and climbs on top shivering as he watches the creature circle around him.

Knuckles with a full inventory of acid mushrooms because they were right there, why wouldn't he pick them up? (Me. I'm Knuckles.) When he learns how to play he ends up scanning wrecks for blueprints.

Rouge doing all the Degasi exploration. Her debt to Alterra is growing at a suspiciously fast rate compared to everyone else's.

Silver is found in a time capsule 700m below the surface with a thermal blade, a dead fish, and a screenshot of the Neptune rocket, which hasn't even been built yet. The note reads: "If you found this time capsule, it means I escaped. Sadly, I could not take my friend with me. Please take care of him. PS: I also found this hedgehog. I dunno, maybe you can eat it or something?"

For those of you who haven't played Subnautica, that is a predatory fish known as a Mesmer, which is capable of hypnotizing its prey and causing auditory hallucinations.

This one is sick with Kharaa, the incurable infection ravaging the planet. After Shadow inadvertently feeds it, it starts following him around and influencing him to hunt for it.

While Shadow's mind is free most of the time, if the fishie wants something done, the fishie is gonna make him go do it and there is nothing he can do about it.

Subnautica AU, you know Circe from Generator Rex(you can look for some videos on YT)? Her powers/mutation is the adaptation I imagine starscream acquired when the bacteria changes the seekers and the rest of the neutrals.

I googled it and it appears to be just some kinda sonic scream? Starscream already has that pre-mutation lmao

But yes! His voice probably gets even more powerful when the mutation starts to set in, so his sonic scream can carry even underwater. Great for calling out to his partner and trine or wandering sparklings

Tempest drifted idly through the waters, her eyes watching the eggs of her brethren in silence. This was never truly her protection and she knew it. This was punishment... Isolation. A form of torture granted to her by the others to ensure that she knew what she was: a perfect outcast of both Ghost Leviathan and Sea Dragon Leviathan kind. A low hum escaped her throat, fingers dipping for a moment into the acidic compound in which the Ghost Cove Tree’s roots lay. Just above this compound was a more breathable water, which Tempest far preferred.

A dull roar echoed through the cavern, the walls of plantlife shaking as Mephiles screamed in annoyance.

“HOW DARE YOU, YOU INSOLENT LITTLE RAT!!!! WHERE DID YOU GO?!?!” She knew what that meant. Tempest calmed her heart, trying to keep the beat in decent measure as she glanced to the entrance to her home, hoping to see a certain submersible with its little occupant inside. She hoped Sonic would evade Mephiles- the accursed merman was insufferable at the best of times, and demonic at the worst.

She swam closer to the entrance, begging for a sign of her favorite visitor. No offense to Willow, but.... Well.... Sonic’s company.... Made her feel... Strange. Happy. Like being stuck in this cavern meant nothing, so long as she could speak to him.

Tempest coughed, her mouth opening three-ways as a small bubble of flame escaped, only to near-instantly vanish in the murky blue depths. Where was he?

“I’LL FIND YOU, LITTLE NUISANCE!!!”

For reference: Soul’s real name is ‘Solstice’, so in AUs, she will almost always go by her real name unless she’s in hiding like in her mainverse.

Solstice in this ‘verse is a mix of a Bone Shark and a Crabsnake, although her dominant genetics are from the Bone Shark. As such, she has a hardy exo-skeleton that is nearly impossible to remove/see-through. The only things visible through the exoskeleton are her eyes and her mouth. Solstice is double the size of her natural counterparts (18 feet vs. her 33 feet), and prefers to explore the open waters of the Underwater Islands, where her people live.

She chats commonly with a fellow mixed-breed that goes by Illusion.

The only sign that Solstice is a mixed breed is that her eye color is red instead of her species’ green, and where others had a golden fringe on their exoskeleton, she has a deep red, almost purple color. Also, she has two mandibles protruding from her mouth.... And when I say mandibles, I mean MANDIBLES.

I eventually watched a full letsplay

And now I'm in 7 different discord servers (one of which is my own) for it, and making a whole AU that includes artwork and full on fanfiction with some friends. Whoops.

So yeah. Never expose me to small pieces of media from big things. This has also happened with Just Shapes and Beats, Subnautica, and Sonic. Just, Sonic as a whole. (Thanks birds. The Sonic one was your fault.)
