Y/n slowly peeked her head up muttering a small "hi..." Shanks smiled at her "hello so you're this Y/n Luffy has been yapping on about" her fins started to glow brighter, she nodded her head.

One Piece: Dub vs Sub?

I put in a comment yesterday on Instagram saying I watch One Piece English Dub (obviously not the 4kids English dub, that needs to be destroyed). I had so many people saying I’m not a real fan and I’m wrong about the Funimation dub being good. I’ve watched both dub and sub (long story about why I watch some in dub and some in dub but that’s a story for another day). The two are different. Sub is amazing but dub has some seriously great voice actors who do a great job. A lot of them are absolute VA legends. One Piece dub vs Sub

Luffy - I’ll be honest, I didn’t like his dubbed voice at first. But it grew on me! Also when Luffy first went into fourth gear it was good and I will die on that hill! Anyway as good as I think dubbed Luffy is his Japanese voice is just iconic, a classic, unbeatable.

Zoro - I’ve mentioned before that I think dubbed Zoro sounds like Brian dog from Family Guy and he does. Still I like it! I think it’s just as good as his Japanese voice!

Nami - This could be controversial but I prefer Nami’s dubbed voice! She sounds like a middle aged woman and I love it! This is what Nami sounds like to me!

Usopp - Both are good. I do like the sound or direction of his Japanese voice idk if that’s what you call it. But either way I like em both!

Sanji - 4kidz best! I think his Japanese voice has this like cool sound but the dub brings out his more pathetic side. Both amazing takes on him!

Chopper - I don’t like his dubbed voice. It’s just whiny and Chopper’s Japanese voice is fucking Pikachu! If you’re in a cute voice competition and you’re opponent is the voice of Pikachu you can’t win!

Robin - They’re both so good! Here’s a fun fact, in the dub when she says “I want to live!” They didn’t even put an echo effect on it, her voice just naturally did that! But they’re both really hot!

Franky - I like how the dub voice sounds! Only problem is that the Japanese SUPER is classic! So that makes them equal!

Brook - The YOHOHOHOHO! In the dub is spot on! The whole thing is spot on! I personally prefer the dub because I speak English but sound almost exactly the same! (Only in different languages ofc) it’s like music to my ears! Or it would be, if I had any ears YOHOHOHOHOHOHO!

Jimbei - I appreciate what the dub was going for but I don’t like it. I think the VA just needs to grow into the role. Or it needs to grow on me like Luffy’s did?
