bojack horseman: is literally the best at representing themes of mental illness and trauma

mp100: is ultimately a show about normality and kindness

gravity falls: wacky show with good dialogue and great stakes

sally face: mystery video game with a hint of horror. very plot driven, but the characters are really fun

undertale: i was obsessed for 2 years straight and it made me almost cry

johnny the homicidal maniac: a great comic. makes fun of people, society, and most importantly, pretentious goth culture. main character is a homicidal maniac who kills people who inconvienece him. He's a likeable bitch boy. A bit of horror

i feel sick: spinoff of a character from jthm. not much to say except it's great to read if u like jthm. oh and the dude who made the series made invader zim

A little ramble:

I genuinely have to think about what anime I like because I feel like I watch more anime-inspired things than actual anime

One of my current favorite stories I've made is shounen-anime inspired, and the 2 animes that come close to the style I pursue with it are YuGiOh GX and Dragon Ball Z.

I have watched FMA:B in its entirety (hell, the only anime I ever truly finished aside from both versions of Tokyo Mew Mew and Romeo X Juliet), but I honestly don't think its style matches with the cliche shounen anime style that my original story pursues.

When I think about the anime I've watched, it's always bits and pieces. Sailor Moon, DBZ, the first two YuGiOh series, even MP100? I haven't finished. I have started Sonic X a few months ago, but I haven't touched it since.

However, I can name a lot more anime-inspired stuff I've watched.

RWBY, maybe some bits of SU, VLD, ATLA. Hell, I'm probably even forgetting some of them right now.

It's honestly odd how much anime has influenced my writing style, but I don't think I can consider myself an anime fan.

An unpopular opinion: Idk what any popular opinions are. Maybe specificities in queer headcanons for the boys but like. That doesn’t matter much I feel

my thoughts: It’s so good….so pure

What makes me happy about them: They’re so good for each other and so cute and I want them to be happy together and forget abt the shittier family members they have…make a new fam with just them, mito, alluka, maybe kalluto idk how killua feels towards him. Just. A big ol happy family where nothing is wrong and everyone is loved.

What makes me sad about them: Oohhhh boy. That my dear friend is a Spoiler tm. You’ll know it when you see it though. Vague answer: ending of the chimera ant arc, and the entirety (esp the v end) of the 13th chairman election arc

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Why????? Does adult Killua smoke???????????? it would do nothing for him!!! ok tbh that’s not ship related but what the actual fuck. And Idk. Just characterization of the boys in general i guess. if they’re way too off or smth.

Things I look for in fanfic: That sweet sweet reuinion shit mmhmm also angst and resolution and in character bits that make me go yo! holy shit! he would totally react this way in this situation that’s so true to his character! and stuff like that.

My kinks: The Angst tm. Also fake dating, gay chicken, shit like that. Slowly falling in lvoe without realizing it. Doing romantic things in a platonic manner cause they don’t know the line cause their childhoods didn’t allow for them to learn how you act around a friend and junk

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:I mean….no one, in the romantic sense………. just as long as they’re happy and everything between them is resolved….. Gon living happily with aunt Mito, Killua explorin with his good sis Alluka….the good shit.

1.��What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?

Hmmm.... well for a lot of my notps / ships that I personally don’t ship, I can understand WHY other people ship them and enjoy those types of dynamics, but I just don’t, myself. 

(for example: Ich!/H!m3 and R3n/Ruk! from Bleach, and N@ru/S@ku and N@ru/S@su from Naruto. i can at least somewhat get why people like them, but they’re notps for me)

however, I’ll never understand why people seriously ship parent-x-children/parental-figure-x-child-figure ships, sibling ships, or literal-toddler-character-x-adult ships etc etc. I’m never going to be someone who sends death threats over ships, but those are definitely dynamics I try to avoid as much as possible because they make me uncomfortable.

(for example: N@ru/B0ru and B0ru/H!ma from boruto, and R3!/M0b and R!tsu/M0b from mp100. i don’t understand the appeal and i don’t want to know. no thank you.)

5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?

KI/@nce from VLD was definitely ruined for me a few years ago. it used to be one of my OTPs in 2016, but all the fandom antis and purity police destroyed any joy i used to have for that ship and it’s pretty much become a NOTP since 2017 or 2018.

Other ships that come to mind are honestly F!nn/R3y from SW and Kat/@ang from atla because I’m tired of antis bashing other ships for liking different dynamics, when shipping is supposed to just be fun. Shipping isn’t the same as activism, and enemies-to-lovers ships aren’t abusive to real people.

6. Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?

Yeah! It’s thanks to fandom that I fell in love with pairings like Plance and Sheith from VLD and Reylo from SW. I didn’t like those pairings initially due to fandom police shoving it down my throat that those ships were Problematique™ and exaggerating how Toxic those ships were for whatever (bullshit) reason, but those have been some of my OTPS for years now.

Also Zutara! I used to just ship all the endgame atla couples when I was little because the show came out when I was like in elementary school and I didn’t consider shipping characters that didn’t get together in the show, but once I discovered tumblr I realized how great of a ship zutara is and it’s really the only atla pairing I actively ship now.

7. Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?

When I was little I guess I was a fan of the Nice Guy Wears Down The Girl Til She Dates Him Or After She Gets Heartbroken Trope trope (like Kat/@ang)? because it was in so many series, but I hate that now (like with All/ura/nce from VLD, always a NOTP)

I’m also not much of a fan of Modern High School AUs anymore, especially in fan content, because they are rarely done well imo.
