Hiii cupids-luvwp-san, I like your post. Can you do aizen x lieutenant reader like enemy to friend to lover. Can you do that? Thank you…❤️
Of course! <3 I love writing for Aizen!
Tumblr media
You are the lieutenant of Sosuke Aizen, the captain of the 5th squad. He's known for being polite, soft-spoken, and intellectual. You just hates his guts the same way that he hates yours. You two can't stand each other.
One glance and you're already in a heated argument, Momo and Izuru ready to pull you away from each other. You and Aizen would never dare to raise your swords to each other though.
"What a pain," he taunts you and you roll your eyes with annoyance.
"If anyone here is a pain, it's you," you retort harshly and Aizen scoffs in return.
You envy each other, until you're both stuck surrounded by your enemies. Hell, it was two against 10...there was no way you could take them all on.
~
Aizen glances over at you as you start to raise your sword to your enemies, anger burning behind your eyes.
"What are you doing?" Aizen asks softly, knitting his eyebrows together. You glance over at him for a spilt moment and let out a tiny sigh.
"We can't just sit here and wait for the others to show up. We'll be dead by then," you scoff out, leaping forward and slicing through.
So, Aizen followed your actions, trusting you every step of the way. Hell, he even started to like you right in that moment and he liked you even more after you saved his life.
Your eyes lock onto the sword swinging right above Aizen's head and your heart skips a beat.
He's your captain, you can't let die. You wouldn't be able to live with yourself.
"No!" you scream out, throwing yourself in front of the sword. The sword slashes through your shoulder and your body freezes. The blood splashes onto the ground and onto Aizen's white captain uniform.
His stomach twists into uneasy knots and you start to stumble over. You wrap your fingers around your shoulder as the pain burns through your body.
At that exact moment, your other squad members show up.
You start to fall over and Aizen quickly grabs onto your shoulders, easily sweeping you off your feet. You let a tiny gasp and rest your head on his chest.
"Hey, did I say you could touch me?" you scoff out, your face twisting in grimace, but mostly pain.
"You put your life in danger to save mine," Aizen blurts out, his jaw dropping open. He never thought you would do that. You hated him, right?
"You're my captain. I have to," you lower your gaze to the ground, chewing on your bottom lip.
"I think we're friends now, Y/N." Aizen smiles warmly.
"God, please don't say that," you sigh out, closing your heavy eyelids as a smirk tugs on Aizen's face.
After that incident, you became closer with your captain. You both decided to let each other in and really work as a team.
~
Aizen was running out of time and he knew it. He had wished that he would throw away his stupid plan of betraying the soul society and stay here...with you.
He needed power though. He wanted it desperately.
His heart was yours and your heart was his, but neither of you knew it. You would steal glances from across the rooms in meetings or spending the night in his room, either playing cards or chess.
There would be chatter, laughter, and a bit of sake.
"Same time tomorrow, friend?" Aizen questions you and you scoff quietly.
"We're aren't friends, Aizen," you retort harshly, standing up from the ground. Aizen follows you and starts marching towards you.
"I know. We're more than friends, right?" he questions you, towering over you. You take a tiny step backwards and your back hits the cold wall behind you.
Your eyes dart around as your heart starts to pound against your chest. Aizen steps forward, closing the distance between the two of you and you gulp.
Your eyes flicker down to his pump, pink lips and a hot pit forms in your stomach.
Oh, how he was so right. Neither of you could deny the glances you stole and the way you were so close, close enough to kiss. You wanted to be his lover. To kiss him, hold his hand, sleep in the same bed as him, and love him.
His large hand brings warmth to your right cheek and he pulls your head towards his. Your eyes meet and Aizen grins slightly. You reach up onto your tippy toes as Aizen leans his head down, pressing his lips against yours.
You grab onto his broad shoulders to steady yourself as your knees become weak and start to slightly shake. His lips taste like honey and a little hint of cologne.
His kisses became hunger and deeper, wanting more of you. You could feel his hair slightly tickling your forehead and he pulls away from you.
You both pant heavily, needing to breath, but wanting more of each other. Aizen's thumb brushes over the bottom of your lip and pulls it down a little.
A smile draws across your face and Aizen leans down for more...

Hey bestie! I have a request for you 🤗 it's based off that answer you gave anon earlier about the heat. Please could you write a scenario where our knight in shining armour, Taligaro 😍 helps us when we're feeling unwell from travelling all day in the heat? Please take all the time you need, love you bestie 💚💚💚
Tumblr media
Bestie that's such a lovely request 🖤 We all have need a caring Taligaro in our lives 🙏
It was a few weeks since Tal,I and his army started our journey over the lands to help people in danger. The sun was shining mercilessly down on us. I just had a little bit of water left in my waterskin and I didn't know when I had the chance to fill it up again. After what felt like an eternity we finally found a place to put up our tents. I got off my horse and suddenly saw stars. I had to hold on to my horse to stand properly. I took deep breaths and closed my eyes when I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder. "My princess, are you alright?" I looked up at him and gave him a tired smile. "I'm okay Tal just a little exhausted that's all." then I tried unpack my horse but I felt dizzy and Tal had to catch me. "Y/N you're obviously not okay, you're burning. When was the last time you drank some water?" "I... I don't know really. I didn't have much left." "Oh my love you should have said something. It seems you have a heat stroke. Come let me help you princess." he took me in his arms and carried me away from the sight of the other men to the edge of the lake. He carefully put me down and started undoing my armor." You'll feel better soon, I promise." he stripped me down to my undergarments and took off his own armor. "Come here my princess let's get you cooled down." he lifted me up again and slowly walked into the lake. When the water covered my feet he stopped.Letting me get used to temperature . "How is that?" he asked looking deep into my eyes. "It feels amazing Tal, I'm already feeling a little better." he gave me a warm smile and took a few more steps into the water till it reached our hips. He slowly cradled me in his arms and the cold water felt so good. Tal held me close to his body and started to gently put some water on my face with his other hand. "Let's take one step more shall we?" I just nodded and rested my head on his shoulder. The water now reached our chests and I sighed at the sensation. It felt like heaven. I wrapped my arms around his neck while he still held me in his arms. "Am I to heavy? You can tell me when you need a break Tal." he chuckled and kissed my forehead. "You weigh nothing my precious princess. I hold you as long as you need, don't worry about me just enjoy the water. The most important thing is that you feel better. " His words brought tears to my eyes, he was just everything I could ever wish for. I was stupid that I didn't tell him I was feeling unwell and instead of being angry he stands here like a rock holding me in his arms letting me take my time to cool down." Tal I'm feeling much better now, thank so much." "I'd do anything to make you feel better my love. Are you sure you want to go out?" "Yes." with that he carried me out of the water and sat me down on the edge of the lake. "Here, I put my waterskin in the lake so it must be cold drink Y/N, you need it. I'm putting up the tent over there alright? Just call me when you need me." then he started with the work. After a few minutes everything was ready and he came back to me. "Everything is prepared princess, come with me you need some rest. He guided me into the tent and I lay down on the bedroll. He smiled down on me stroking a strand of hair out of my face." Take a rest my love. And don't forget to drink alright? I'll go and prepare something for dinner. I love you so much my precious princess." "I love you too Tal, thank you for everything. I was so stupid and you just were so lovely to me. I'm sorry that I worried you." he leaned down and placed a soft kiss on my lips "Don't be sorry. But next time you'll tell me when you're not feeling good alright?". "I promise." "That's my girl. Now rest a bit, I'll wake you when dinner is ready." he gave me a last kiss on the forehead and left. I smiled to myself about how caring he was and slowly drifted to sleep.

Avatar: The Last Airbender - Season 1 Starters - Part 1
Look, I'm just saying that if I had weird powers, I'd keep my weirdness to myself.
No, that's it! I'm done helping you! From now on, you're on your own!
It means my search is about to come to an end.
I think I got midnight sun madness. I'm going home, where things make sense.
Y'know, last time I checked, humans can't fly.
Show no fear!
If I go with you, will you promise to leave everyone alone?
I bet I could take you with both my hands tied behind my back.
Really? You must regale me with all the thrilling details.
How do I know if I'm ready for this?
It's just the natural order of things.
Well, let's not stick around to find out. Let's hit the road.
Are you going to finish that?
I was going to save it for later
He's just upset because a bunch of girls kicked his butt yesterday.
Hey, don't get too comfortable. It's risky for us to stay in one place for too long.
Maybe you'd be kind enough to give us a little demonstration?
I'm sorry if I insulted you earlier. I was... wrong.
I wanted to make sure you were safe. You really had me worried.
I let all the attention go to my head. I was being a jerk.
Well, get out of the water before you catch a cold, you big jerk!
Look what I brought to this place.
I know I know, that was stupid and dangerous.
Rotten cabbages? What kind of a slum do you think this is?!
Look around you! What do you see?
It sounded fun at first, but now that I'm here, I'm starting to have second thoughts.
My cabbages! You're going to pay for this!
Your majesty, these juveniles were arrested for vandalism, traveling under false pretenses, and malicious destruction of cabbages.
Is it just me, or is this guy's crown a little crooked?
You can't keep us here! Let us leave!
We're in serious trouble. This guy is nuts.
Other than the crystals slowly encasing my entire body, doing great!
We're going to keep trying, but that is a good back-up.
What's for dinner?
Please, there's no one around to see you. It's the only way!
Everyone should get some sleep, we're leaving at dawn.
How can you say that? You sound like you've already given up!
I admire your courage. And I envy your youth. But people's lives are at stake here.
Listen to him well, child. You're one mistake away from dying where you stand.
It is the greatest honor of a lifetime to be in your presence.
Nice to meet you too! So ... is there something I can help you with?
If only there were a way to repay you for what you've done.
You could give us some supplies. And some money.
This is exactly why I didn't want you to come! It's too dangerous!
And that's exactly why we're here.
The engines are damaged! We need to stop and make repairs!
We're on a collision course!
Wait. I think I heard something.
I don't want to fight you! I am a friend.
This might actually work.
Did the definition of genius change over the last hundred years?
It was a noble effort, but your little smokescreen didn't work.
What's bugging you anyway?
Calm down, it's going to be okay.
Remember the reason we're here.
Great. So what am I supposed to do?
You've changed our course for a stupid lotus tile?
Looks like I got the hang of that move! What else do you got?
You guys are pirates!
We prefer to think of ourselves as "high risk traders."
Go jump in the river!
I didn't steal it, if that's what you're wondering.
Are you so busy fighting you cannot see your own ship has set sail?
You're the leader? But your voice still cracks!
Why do boys always think someone has to be the leader?
You just took out a whole army almost single-handed.
It's beautiful up here!
He's not messed up, he's just got a different way of life, a really fun way of life.
We can't win without making some sacrifices.
I do understand. I understand that there's nothing you won't do to get what you want.
You lied to me, you're sick and I trusted you!
Who would be free? Everyone would be dead.
You traitor!
No, [NAME]. You became the traitor when you stopped protecting innocent people.

The darkside of scp-999
The scarlet king has taken on many forms and had many children. All of them having a different amount of his power and strength but could destroy the world as the humans knew it.
From the very hard to kill reptile who was functionally immoral and very pissed at any living things short or their siblings, to the 6 children of his 7 brides who all cause major havoc throughs the scp foundation that been working so hard at stopping his attempts to end the world and somehow managing to successfully stop him, to uhhh, the person I shalln't name because I forgot who they were but they were very bad.
All of them except for one.
The tickle monster, or what those scientists researchers call it Scp-999. Instead of having any more of ability to cause harm or destruction, it simply has the power to induce positive emotions into living beings. It's physical body was soft unlike most of their siblings who had armored scales or tough skin, and it wasn't any short of smart.
It simply exists to make the living beings feel joy.
And yet
--------------------
That little bastard had sinister plans to finish what its father started. It may be soft, cute, and stupid......... The scientists lowered their guard around it all the time, and it would crawl all over them, leaving trails of goop... what the scientists didn't know was that that goop had strong abilities to manipulate ones mind. Nobody expects this soft cute bastard to be capable of doing anything besides making people happy... little did they know, they were just recruited into SCP-999's hivemind. SCP-999 was only a child, not even fully formed... no one knew it could grow and change to be something completely different to its current self.
In the beginning, scientists exposed to SCP-999 started to act strangely and it was noted how SCP-999 was no longer orange or very small. Its orange hue began turning to a darker color.... a orange red color. It also began to be more aggressive in its interactions, The scientists that were in the hivemind played off all the changes as normal and not dangerous in the slightest... and since this was SCP-999, people believed them. Little did they know what dangers were coming on the horizon... perhaps a rebirth... or a new Scarlet King... or possibly something far more worse than that. Only time would tell what would happen.
When the day finally came for the great transformation, the s

The Scarlet King, the day of ruining, the Metamorphosis, twisting flesh and bone out of an orange cocoon, a pulsating mass, the great carnage emerging, the day the sky cries blood upon the filth that inhabit it, the end of days, the fall of life, the darkest... The...
On the floor of Site 19 lays a normally happy orange blob, slowly waking up from a nightmare making a dissatisfied gurgle. It can hear people arguing. It doesn't like when people argue...
"I fucking told you not to feed it anything with caffeine."
"But it was alcohol."
"THAT'S MY POINT. Clef, what the fuck?"
"Well it was a daiquiri, it was sweet, and this was a good learning opportunity."
"Look at the poor thing, it has a hangover!"
It oozed it's way towards the fowl argument, another gurgle bubbling it's soft, but significantly more melted at the moment, body.
"Lil' guys gonna be fine."
"I can't believe we're going to need to make this a new rule, the 05 is already breathing down the Ethics Committee's necks on people's bullshit down here, people like you just make the job harder, my god."
SCP 999 made a soft murr, curling around Doctor Clef's leg.
"Hey... Sorry, buddy... Hehe..."
Cimmerian stormed off.

Superman - Upstead
Tumblr media
Summary: Jay and Hailey are a part of an officer involved shooting, the aftermath puts Hailey in a very dangerous situation, causing her and Jay’s lives to be at risk. (Pre-Established Upstead)
Warnings: violence, mentions of blood & gore, swearing, angst, over-protective Jay
Requested: Yes! #71, “Get away from him/her!” & #74, “He’s/She’s not yours.”
“5021 George, we are in pursuit of the offender on foot. The offender is armed, all units advised. Send back up to the corner of Garden and North Malcom.” Jay said into his radio as he and Hailey raced down an alleyway. They were in a nicer part of town, the streets were more open and Jay could see an open field at the end. “Hailey, I’m gonna cut him off.” Jay called out to his partner, before darting out of the opening. He beat them to the end, taking off as the offender exited the alleyway.
Jay sprinted towards the large man, tackling him to the ground. He knew he had a gun, but it was his only choice. They rolled across the grass, Jay immediately trying to get the upper hand. Hailey caught up, drawing her weapon. “Chicago P.D. Stand down!” She shouted from yards away.
The offender was restless, flipping them so that Jay was pinned underneath. Jay kicked him in the groin and knocked the gun out of his hand. Neither of the men had noticed Hailey’s presence, and when Jay reached behind him to grab the gun, the man punched square in the jaw, disorienting him. The man smiled, standing and grabbing his gun, pointing it at Jay.
There was a loud pop, followed by a thud. Jay sat up immediately, seeing his partner with her gun raised. “You good?” She called out, racing towards him.
“Yeah.” Jay said, jumping up and kicking the gun away. He wiped the blood from his nose as he checked the guys pulse, he was gone.
Hailey sighed as she reached her partner, “That was stupid.” She said sternly.
Jay nodded, “Yeah, I know.” He looked her in the eye, holding their gaze, almost like a silent apology for scaring her like that. They were interrupted by the sounds of sirens. Patrol had made it to the scene. Pretty soon the field was flooded with officers and crime techs.
“What happened?” Voight asked, finally arriving on scene.
Hailey shrugged, “He ran as soon as we knocked on the door, Jay tackled him, he had a gun. It was us or him.” She explained. Jay nodded, backing her up.
Voight gave them a short nod, “Well, I guess that’s justice. Let’s head back, we’re back to square one.” The two nodded, bidding him goodbye and walking back to their rig.
They had been working the case a few days, it was a quadruple rape and homicide. The offender they were chasing was Jason Forbes, they knew he was one of them abusers because his DNA was found on all four victims, but now they were looking for his partner.
Jay jumped in the driver's seat of the truck, Hailey following suit on the other side. “Thanks,” He said, once they were settled. “For earlier…”
“Yeah, Of course.” Hailey said, smiling at him. “You're my partner, I’ve always got your back.”
It was a long day full of almost no leads, it was like the trail died with Jason. There wasn’t even anything to chase down. All they had was everything they knew above Jason, and no one he knew met any of the criteria they were looking for. No one looked good.
Eventually, Voight told them to all go home and get some rest. Hailey suggested getting a drink, Jay didn’t do well cases involving children, especially rape cases. Plus, she knew he was beating himself up over his attempted arrest earlier. They agreed to meet at the pub a few blocks away from Hailey’s apartment. It had become their own personal Molly’s.
They sat at a high table near the back, the only thing it was near was the old fashioned jukebox, that they were both sure didn’t work. “How’s your nose?” Hailey asked, taking a sip of her beer.
Jay chuckled, “Fine, thanks.”
Hailey put her hands up in surrender, “I’m being serious, he hit you pretty hard.” She was trying to hide her genuine concern behind the humor, cause she couldn’t get the image of that man standing over him with a gun out of her head.
“I’m a little sore.” Jay admitted, sighing. “But, I’m fine. Thanks to you.” He smiled softly, making direct eye contact yet again.
Hailey shook her head, averting her gaze. “You’re acting like I took a bullet for you.”
Jay shrugged, “Close enough.”
They sat in silence for a few moments, neither of them really knew what to say. There was a cloud looming over the table. It wasn’t lost on Hailey that if she had been just 10 seconds later, Jay might be dead. And Jay knew how close he came to death today, just because he overestimated his own abilities. They came close to losing each other, but wasn’t that the job? It wasn’t a new thing, but it felt different.
About an hour later, they walked out of the bar. Heading towards the parking lot to their separate cars. Jay walked a little behind her, he wasn’t ready to part ways yet, but he didn’t know how else to make her stay with him. “Hailey-” He started, but something caught his eye.
“Yeah?” She asked, turning around.
A car passing on the street slowed slightly, the back seat window rolled down and Jay saw the tip of a long gun. “Hailey, get down!” He shouted, sprinting and tackling her to the ground. Bullet after bullet hit the brick wall behind them as Jay used his entire body to shield her from the fire. When the assault finally stopped, they both waited a few seconds before sitting up. Jay grabbed Hailey’s shoulders, scanning her body. “Are you okay? Are you hit?”
He subconsciously placed a hand on her cheek, running his thumb over the pavement burn just above her jawline. Hailey placed her hand over his, “I-I’m fine. Are you okay? What the hell just happened?” She asked, taking his hand as he helped her stand.
“I-I don’t know. I saw the gun and-” Hailey cut him off by launching herself into his arms, wrapping hers tightly around him. Jay hugged her back immediately, holding her close. She was shaking, Jay combed his fingers through her hair. “Hey, it’s okay. We're okay.” They stood there, wrapped up in each other for a few minutes before a patrol car rolled up.
“We got a call of shots fired?” The guy asked, stepping out of the car.
Jay pulled up the bottom of his shirt, showing the officer his badge. “Yeah, a black SUV rolled by and just started shooting, I couldn’t get plates.”
While Jay talked to patrol, Hailey looked around, finding a set of security cameras. “Hey Jay!” She called out, she got his attention immediately. “We should check with the owner and see if these work.” She said, pointing up at them.
Jay nodded, “You guys call for backup, I’m gonna go talk to the owner and call my sergeant.” He ordered, clicking on Voight’s contact information. It was going to be a long night.
“Matthew Zimmerman.” Kim said, taping his picture to the board. “That’s who the car is registered to. Now, there is no obvious connection between him and Jason Forbes other than them being in the same facebook chat room.”
Kevin turns his computer screen so that they can all gather behind it. “We didn’t find it before, because somehow Jason was able to make it unassessable on all his devices. It’s called the Misunderstood Brotherhood, and it is an invitation only, unmarked room. So you can only get in with a code from an invite.”
Kim continued, “We searched through all of the members and there are near 75 in the Chicago area, many of which are registered sex offenders or have previous allegations against them.”
“So, it’s a bragging ground for rapists?” Jay snapped, leaning on Hailey’s desk and crossing his arms.
“Sort of.” Kim said.
“Most of the messages are pretty disturbing, they talk about urges and possible intent, but they are smart. There is nothing specifically incriminating, well, except for this.” Kevin scrolled through the chat, stopping so they could all read the bolded message. “This was posted yesterday afternoon.”
This morning, one of our brothers, Jason forbes, was shot and killed by Hailey Upton. A Detective in the Intelligence Unit out of the 21st district, badge #55055. We will not stand for this and we must avenge his death. The brotherhood will award a $100,000 reward to anyone who can eliminate the officer as a threat. Do us proud.
Hailey gasped, taking a step back. Her back hit her partner’s side, who instinctively wrapped a protective arm around her waist. “Holy shit.” Adam said.
“So last night, that was a hit?” Hailey asked shakily.
Kim nodded, “It looks like it, and we can assume at least 200 other people have seen this message.”
Voight took over from there. “Alright, we need to get Hailey to a safe house. Halstead, you’ll go with her. I’m gonna call the ivory tower, they are gonna want to be in the loop.”
As soon as Voight shut the door to his office, Adam stood. “Maybe I should go with Hailey.”
Jay scoffed, “What?”
“I’m just saying, your head doesn’t really seem in the game.” Adam snapped, Jay’s arm wrapped around Hailey catching his attention.
“Do I need to talk to you?” Jay asked, his jaw clenched.
“Jay-”
Jay took a step forward, “Where the hell do you get off?” Jay asked, seething. “She’s my partner.”
“She’s not yours, Jay.” Adam said, getting in Jay’s face.
Hailey stepped forward, holding her hand up to Adam. “I’m not anyone’s,” She snapped. Jay took it as a chance to step back, the last thing he wanted to do was piss Hailey off. Hailey glared at Adam, shaking her head. She didn’t understand why he was causing such a scene. She turned to Jay, “Let’s get our stuff.” She stormed off to the locker room, Jay hot on her tail. She turned around exasperated when she entered the room, Jay cracked the door behind them. “What the hell was that?” She whisper yelled.
“I’m sorry-”
Hailey cut him off, “I won’t be the prize you two sword fight over. That was incredibly embarrassing, if Voight had been out there, there would be hell to pay.”
Jay slouched in defeat. “I know, I’m sorry. He just makes me so mad sometimes.”
“Jay.” She said, “Do you really think I would have let Adam come with me over you?”
Jay sighed, “No.”
Hailey stuck her arms out at her sides, emphasizing his statement. “Thank you.” She collapsed onto the bench behind her, running a hand through her hair. Jay cautiously walked toward her, sitting down about a foot away and leaning on his hands. Her fast mood changed, scaring him a bit. Hailey sighed, running her hands over her face. “There’s a bounty on my head.”
Jay shifted a little closer to her, letting his hand rest on her back. “We’ll get through it.”
Hailey looked up at him, something about the way he said we made her heart skip a beat. Before she could say anything, the door swung open and revealed Kevin. “Hey, you guys ready to go?”
Hailey jumped up immediately, sniffling. “Yeah, let’s go.”
Three unmarked cars and a safety evaluation later, Hailey found herself sitting on a not so comfortable couch. For their own safety, neither of them knew quite where they were. There were alarms on all the windows and doors, so if someone tried to break in the team sitting in the house would immediately be alerted.
Jay was pacing, his hands on his hips. Hailey huffed, “Are you gonna do that all night?” She asked.
“Maybe.” He deadpanned.
Hailey rolled her eyes, “Can you please just come sit down.” She asked.
Jay sighed, admitting defeat and sitting on the other side of the couch. “Better?”
Hailey smiled, “Much.”
They sat in silence for a while, deciding to turn on the TV in front of them, not that there was anything good on. Jay snuck glances at his partner, even though he had been seeing more and more of it lately, it was nice to see her so casual. She had on leggings and a sweatshirt, her blonde hair falling over her shoulders. Her sock covered feet pulled up on the couch and tucked under her as she watched the screen absently. Jay watched the way the colors danced over her face in the dark room, smiling softly. He swore she got more beautiful everyday.
Hailey looked over at him, blushing slightly when she found his gaze already on her. “What?”
Jay coughed, “Nothing.” He could see the gears in her head turning from across the couch. “What are you thinking about?” He asked.
“Eh, I don’t know,” Hailey shrugged, smiling weakly at him. “That we’re even now.”
Jay chuckled, “Yeah, I guess we are.”
“I-” Hailey started, “I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t been there.” She looked down at her hands, feeling her eyes well up. “I know we put our lives on the line everyday, but…” Jay held his breath, her heart aching for her. “I could’ve died last night. I could have died last night, and you could’ve too, and that would have been my fault.”
“Hailey-”
“No Jay,” She said, looking at him with teary eyes. “You can’t talk yourself out of this one. You put yourself between me and a gunman and I just, I don’t understand.”
Jay shifted, moving a little closer to her. “Hailey. I will never not protect you.”
Hailey sucked in a breath, his gaze hot on her skin. They had never been quiet about trusting each other, they both knew they would follow the other anywhere, that at the end of the day, they would be there for each other. But this, this was new. Not to him, he had always protected her, but for the first time in a while Hailey got a glimpse at how much she really meant to him. “I, uh, It’s getting late.” She rushed out, looking at her hands again. “We should get some sleep.” She stood, glancing back at him.
“Uh, I’ll take the couch, you take the bed.” He busied himself gathering pillows from the other chairs and grabbing the throw blanket off the back, trying not to think about Hailey’s complete dismissal of his previous statement.
“Jay.” She said, and his head snapped up. “Are you really going to make me sleep alone tonight?” It was forward, she would admit. But the thought of sleeping alone in some random house while people were literally racing to kill her, wasn’t so appealing.
He stood, shaking his head. “No.”
Hailey smiled, letting him follow her to the hotel-like bedroom. It was a big enough bed for two people, thankfully. Hailey pulled back the covers and climbed it, she hadn’t slept in over 48 hours and she was feeling it for sure. Jay climbed in cautiously, glad that he had a pair of sweatpants in his overnight bag and he didn’t have to sleep in his jeans. They laid on complete opposite sides of the bed facing each other. “Goodnight Jay.” Hailey said quietly.
“Goodnight Hailey.”
Jay woke up in the middle of the night, needing to pee. When he registered where he was, he noticed that he wasn’t alone. Hailey’s back was pressed against his chest and his arm was wrapped around her waist. He smiled to himself, careful not to wake her as he climbed out.
The bathroom light was blinding as he flipped it on, waking him all the way up, he noticed he had creases all over his arms from the blanket. Means it was a good sleep. He thought, grinning. Honestly, he was surprised he was sleeping so well, given the circumstances. He guessed he was more dependent on Hailey than he thought, she really did calm him.
He did his business quickly, itching to get back in bed and enjoy his partners embrace, even if it was for just one night. He was halfway back to the bedroom when he heard a loud crash. He took off running, and when he reached the bedroom, he saw a masked man standing in front of the broken window, staring a Hailey.
The man took a step forward, not noticing Jay’s presence. Hailey woke up confused, screaming for Jay when she saw the man. “Get away from her.” He yelled, charging forward. The man pulled a gun, but Jay kept going.
“Jay!” Hailey screamed again, thinking her partner was crazy.
Jay grabbed the gun, ripping it out of the guy's hand and punching square in the jaw. He tossed it on the bed, “The safety was on.” He said, getting on the top of the guy and flipping him on his stomach. Hailey jumped up and ran to her belt across the room, grabbing a pair of handcuffs and handing them to Jay. Jay cuffed the guy and pulled the mask off, revealing a younger man. Jay stood him up, “Let’s go in the kitchen, we don’t know if there are more coming.”
Hailey nodded, following behind him. She removed the rounds from the gun and placed it on the counter, watching Jay sit the guy down on the floor. A few minutes later there was commotion outside and the pair immediately raised their guns. “Chicago P.D!” Someone yelled and they both sighed, relaxing. The rescue team kicked the door in and was surprised to find the duo alive and well on the other side.
Jay picked the guy up off the ground and handed him over. “He came in through the bedroom window.” The detective nodded, hauling him out of the house.
As part of protocol, Jay and Hailey were both checked out by paramedics. They went over details with the detectives and their team, hopefully giving the information they needed to get ahead of and take down the brotherhood. Eventually they found themselves in the back of another unmarked car, Hailey leaning into Jay’s side, she was physically and emotionally exhausted, way too exhausted to worry about how things might look or come across.
Jay held her close to him, letting his thumb rub over the fabric of her sweatshirt. Hailey yawned, “You really have been playing superman today.” She said groggily.
“Yeah?” Jay asked, smirking.
“Yeah, you’re pretty good at it.” Hailey confessed, leaning further into him. “But don’t quit your day job.”
Jay smiled, leaning down and pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “Wouldn’t dream of it. I couldn’t leave you stranded like that.”
Hailey smiled contently, “You better not, good partners are hard to find.”
“Yeah they are.” Jay agreed, hugging her closer. Good partners were hard to find.
A/N: This got so long, sorry! I really like it though, I haven’t written anything like it. Thank you so much for reading! <3

"Summer in Konoha was ending and it was ending fast. With the end of that came the beginning of the end of Sakura's journey in high school. While it wasn't too rambunctious or anything of the sort, Sakura did have one regret: a high school sweet-heart. She didn't get to experience that all encompassing adoration being shown in the school halls, being yelled at by teachers for showing pda, or even the awkwardness of a first kiss. A part of her longed for that feeling - for that experience.
Those thoughts penetrated her mind as her eyes bore outside of her window, over at the open water of the ocean. Sighing, she dares to look away for a second and to her journal on her desk.
'Sakura's Dream Book!'
She smiles softly. She definitely got to cross off some of those dreams, though she wasn't sure they were the ones that she found of importance now.
Knock, knock!
"Sakura! Hey, Sakura!"
Sakura sighs, looking over at her window where one of her best friends was waiting outside patiently, perched up on the old oak tree that was beside her bedroom window.
Making her way over to him, she scowls at him slightly. Why couldn't the blond just knock on the front door like a normal person? Opening the window, big and honest blue eyes stared into hers excitedly.
"Did you forget? We're going to the beach today!" He shouts, a grin on his face. Taking in his tan sleeveless top and neon orange swim-trunks, she could only smile good naturedly. She forgot how much he was looking forward to this.
"I didn't forget, you're just early," she says as she shakes her head. "Go back down the tree and I'll get ready." Sakura pauses before she turns away, giving him a serious and dangerous look. "And Naruto?"
He gulps slightly, knowing what she was probably going to say. "Yes, Sakura-chan?"
"Don't even think about peeking or you are dead meat." She smiles sweetly, flexing her knuckles slightly. Naruto nods quickly, repeating a mantra of "Of course, anything for you - not that I was going to peek because that would be creepy!" And other things of that sort.
Eventually he had made his way down and she could hear a few of her other friends yell "Watch it!" and "Don't fall, you idiot!"
She laughs softly before getting ready.
Her highschool life may not have been everything she had hoped or wanted, but at the very least she had gotten through it with some of the best people.
~ ` ~ ` ~
"Mom! I'm heading out with some friends, we're going to the beach!" Sakura shouts, opening the front door and not stepping out until she hears her mothers resounding "Okay, be careful!"
"It's about time, forehead," snarks her other best friend. Sakura's eyebrow twitches, but she ignores the pretty blonde's snarky remark anyway. "Are we all ready to go?" She asks, a smile on her face as she adjusts her bag. It isn't like the walk is very far, it's pretty much just across the street so if they did forget something, her house was just right there. Pretty convenient if she's honest.
As they start walking, Sakura can't help but notice that a little ways down the street there was a movers vehicle in front of a big house.
"Hey! Someones moving into old man Madara's house!" Shouted Naruto, apparently spotting the same thing that she did. "Yeah, I guess so," Sakura hums out. She wonders if they were family members of Madara's or if it was simply sold. He passed away about a year or so ago, so it has been vacant for awhile now. Whoever it was, she hoped that they enjoyed living there. It was a beautiful house, Sakura had to admit.
While she was gawking at the house, her other best friend, Ino, let out a squeal.
Plugging one ear with her finger, Sakura gives her a look. "What the hell, Ino-pig?"
"Oh, come on. You aren't telling me that that super perceptive eye of yours didn't notice the really cute guy over there?" Ino swoons, "I hope he's single." Sakura rolls her eyes, but decides to take a look at who she could only assume Ino is talking about. It was just her luck that when she did, he decided to look over in their direction as well.
Her heart pounds and her cheeks flush slightly when he smirks at her and winks. "Ino, oh my god.. He saw me look - I'm screwed!" Sakura whispers quickly, pointedly looking away. The blonde could only laugh at her friend's predicament. It was just like Sakura to be put in a situation like that.
"I don't understand what the big deal is," Naruto says with a confused look. "I mean, he's super pale and his hair looks like a duck's ass."
"Nice one, Naruto," Kiba snorts, high-fiving him.
Feeling pretty embarrassed, Sakura just quickly starts walking towards the beach again - to their usual spot. Ino gave one last look in the mysterious and handsome boys direction before following her. "Hey, wait up!"
The two boys were left to follow once they were done laughing.
"So, why couldn't Hinata come?" Sakura asks as she lays out her beach towel next to Ino's. The blonde sat down, digging through her bag while answering, "Her father said that they were having family coming into town. She probably won't be able to hang out with us for awhile, from the sound of it."
Sakura juts out her lip slightly, "That sucks. She's really good at keeping Naruto calm."
"Yeah, I know - but, hey," Ino grins, "You've got me. I'm sure we can handle these two morons on our own for awhile." Both teens laugh, stretching their legs out as they applied sunscreen.
Off in the distance, Sakura noticed Naruto and Kiba going ahead into the water with no hint of sunscreen at all. She shakes her head, willing herself to not think about the atrocious sunburn both boys would be sporting later on today.
"Can you believe we are going to be seniors this year?" Ino says off-handedly, moving her blonde bangs away and behind her ear. "I feel like it was just yesterday that we were in middle school fawning over the band Akatsuki."
Sakura nods in agreement, "I know. It's honestly crazy but.." She trails off, a troubled look on her face as she recalls her journal. "I feel like it all went too fast. I didn't cover nearly all of the bases that I wanted to."
"You mean from your journal?" Ino questioned, looking at Sakura in interest. "What was left unchecked? I'm pretty sure you made it your mission to have everything done and dealt with. I mean, you have been the top of our class and our student body leader practically every year."
Sakura's cheeks turn slightly red as she looks away from Ino, hurriedly standing up. "It's.. Just stupid stuff, you wouldn't understand!" She says quickly, trying to exit the question. She practically runs to the water, Ino following after her trying to protest the abrupt end to their conversation.
As soon as the cool water reached across her feet, Sakura let out a soft sigh. She slowly walks out deeper until she's about knee deep, letting her head fall back as she relishes in the feeling of the cool water. Sakura loves the ocean. It was her calm, it was her escape. She can't count how many times she came out here just to wade in the water whenever she was troubled.
Off in the distance, Sakura could see Naruto on his surfboard riding the waves. The guy was a total goofball, but she had to admit that he was one of the best surfers at their high school. He genuinely enjoyed it. It was the only thing (other than the lovely Hinata) that he would give 100% his focus.
"Hey, Forehead. You can't just take off like that," Ino shouts with a scowl on her face as she finished tying her long hair into a bun on top. "Why wouldn't I understand anyway? We've had many of the same experiences, I don't think there is much that I have done that you haven't."
"You would be surprised, but even so.." Sakura sticks out her tongue at her, "You will never know."
"Fine!" Ino pouts, "Be like that."
Sakura laughs, shaking her head and Ino joins in. She really was her best friend.
~ ` ~ ` ~
A few hours later, the four teens are all sprawled out on their beach towels laughing.
"I can't believe you wiped out just right after you were boasting about how you are the best," Kiba howls.
Naruto scowls, shaking his fist at Kiba in protest. "Hey! It happens - you wiped out way more than I did today, anyway dog-breath!" But even with the name calling, he too cracked a grin.
Sakura only watched with a fond smile on her lips. She looks up at the sky, noting that it would be dinner time soon.
"We should probably get going soon," She hums out. She lived just across the road, but she knew that Ino lived quite a walk away and she didn't want her walking in the dark. She knows that Naruto lives a block away from her and would walk her home if it did get dark, but Sakura would rather be safe than sorry.
"Yeah, you're right. I'm beat!" Ino yawns, covering her mouth in the process. Despite all of the sunscreen she plastered on, the blonde was still beyond burnt. Sakura could only imagine the horrified look on her friend's face when she looked in the mirror later.
"But, but-" Naruto pouts, hanging his head. "We've barely seen each other the last few days."
"Hey, Naruto, look at me." Sakura sighed, shaking her head fondly. "How about we all have a sleepover tomorrow night, okay? Then we can all spend plenty of time together."
He immediately perked up, but Kiba rubbed at his hair some in thought. "I wish I could, but Akamaru is going to the vet tomorrow. He's going to need me all night." Naruto gives him a disbelieving look but Kiba quickly waves his hands. "Don't give me that look! You know how much of a baby he is."
"Well, whatever the case may be.. I will be there and I'm sure Shikamaru and Ten Ten would be down to go, too. Ten Ten especially, she was really upset that she hasn't been able to spend so much time with us because of college and her job."
"Sounds like a plan, then." Sakura says, clapping her hands.
Heading towards the sidewalk, Sakura slings her bag over her shoulder. She's chatting away with Ino when she hears him.
"Hey."
Ino nudges her slightly, shutting the pinkette up for a moment and pointing in the direction of the voice. "Is he talking to me or you?" She asks, softly, before putting on a big and flirtatious smile.
"Hey yourself, I'm Ino," she introduces herself while holding out her hand.
The black eyes of the boy from down the street doesn't even spare Ino a glance, instead focusing on Sakura's own emerald orbs.
"I was hoping I'd catch you, I'm Sasuke." He introduces himself, giving her a small smirk and offering up his hand. Ino huffs but looks Sakura over and notices her red face. Sighing, she nudges her in the small of her back trying to get the pink haired teen back on track from her short circuit.
"I'm, uh, Sakura." She finally says, lamely, while holding out her hand. He takes it and she goes to shake, but instead he bows down and brings her knuckles up.. And he presses a small, light kiss.
Sakura could have fainted and Ino picked the worst time to pat her on the shoulder, "Well Saks, I'm gonna go ahead and head home. Text me, okay?" Before the blonde bounds off, waving cheerily.
Sakura retracts her hand, trying to regain focus, not even registering that her friend left her.
"Well," Sasuke pauses watching her face as he spoke, "I was hoping that I could maybe get your number and perhaps an agreement to meet me tomorrow?" Sakura couldn't believe her ears. For once, in her life, a cute guy was asking her and not Ino or hell, even her asking him.
"Uh, um.. Sure," she says as she pulls out her phone. She fumbles with it slightly nearly dropping it which draws a laugh from him as he effortlessly pulls his own phone from his pocket. She was starting to feel bad for all of the times Hinata has gotten nervous or messed up in front of Naruto or anyone, really. "Here," she says as she hands him her phone and his in return. They place their numbers in and once done, he gives her a cool smile.
"Alright then, I will talk to you later, Sa-ku-ra."
"R..Right," she says softly as she waves bye and he turns to leave. After he's long gone, she just stands there kind of dumbly. She couldn't believe that really happened but her mother opened the door to their house and shouted "Sakura, stop standing there like a dumbass and get inside!"
Snapping out of it, she immediately crosses the street to enter the house.
"Why were you just standing out there?" Her mother asks, shutting the door behind her. Sakura smiled sheepishly, tightening her hold on her bag.
"I was talking to someone and I was just lost in thought. No biggie, really."
"Talking to someone?" Her mother questions and Sakura nods, starting to head up the stairs.
"Yeah! But it was no one important, honest!"
Mrs. Haruno was unconvinced but let her go up the stairs. She was sure she would be able to get some information from Ino if needed.
Plopping down on her bed, her bag on the floor, she lets out a sigh. That really just happened. Pulling her phone up to her face, she notices that she has two messages. One from Ino and the other… from him.
Her face slightly pink, she opens up the one from her friend first.
From: Miss Piggy
Subject: Duckbutt
To: Billboard
Girl, you better tell me all of
the deets! Not a single bit of
information left out (6 p.m.)
Sakura snorts at the subject line. She figured that the comment Naruto made will not be forgotten anytime soon - especially since he was right, to a degree. Quickly, she writes out a response before opening the message from Sasuke.
From: Sasuke Uchiha
Subject: Meeting
To: Sakura
How about tomorrow at the ice
-cream parlor up the street at 1?
(6:10 p.m.)
Sakura thinks to herself quietly, trying to map out a time-line for tomorrow. She knows tomorrow that it is the sleepover which means most of them will be coming around 4 or 5, but she also knows that Ino likes to get a head start above everyone else which means she could pop in at any time.. This was tricky, but maybe she could time it just right. Besides, it's just for ice cream. It's not like they are going to be there for hours.
Quickly, she types out "Sure! Sounds great :)".
She deletes the smiley face a couple of times, but at some point she accidentally sent the message while it was on there. Innerly she cursed herself, but what could she do? It already sent.
"Honey?" Sakura's father knocks on the door, opening it up. He was finally home and Sakura couldn't help but smile as she stood up from her bed. "Dinner is ready, come eat."
"Coming!" Sakura says cheerily, meeting her father to walk down the stairs.
Her father worked in the oil field, so he was only home one or two weeks out of a month. So family dinners were precious to her heart. She just wished he was home more, but she understood why he chose that field. While it wasn't reliable, it paid pretty decently. It paid the bills and allowed them some luxuries. One of those being Sakura's growing college fund. It is because of this that Sakura felt a little more pressured to make sure she succeeded and did something worthwhile. She didn't want all of his hard earned money to go to waste.
She just hoped it wouldn't be for nothing.
~ ` ~ ` ~
Sakura knew what she was expecting to see when she woke up in the morning. The very same view that greets her every morning: her ceiling with her stars and solar system stickers. Instead, she got bright blue eyes staring her in her soul and a cage made from blonde hair. Accompanied by a headache, of course, because why would Ino do anything quietly?
"Get your lazy ass up, forehead!" Ino yells, hands on her hips as she pulls back from her face.
Sakura groans, rolling around onto her side and stuffing her pillow onto her head. "Go away."
Ino tsks and the only thing running through Sakura's head is shit. Ino grabs a hold of her foot and yanks as hard as she could, dumping Sakura on the floor by her bed. Sakura glares up at the blonde, scowling. She was having a good dream.
"Damn, it is never this hard to get you up. You're usually up before sunrise to watch it," Ino mumbles out. Sakura blushes, shaking her head. Ino didn't need to know that she stayed up practically all night with anxiety as an obnoxious bubble in her chest.
"Sorry," Sakura mumbles nonchalantly while her eyes look for her clock. Her eyes widen when she realizes it says 12 p.m. Hurriedly, she scrambles up, panic clear on her face.
"Woah there, what has got you so eager to get up all of a sudden?" Ino questions, eyebrow raised as she watches the pinkette hurry to her closet and pull out outfit after outfit. Then it clicked. "Oh. My. God!" She squeals before enveloping Sakura into a tight hug. "You're going to meet him aren't you?! That's why you were acting all weird last night when I was trying to see when I could come over!"
Sakura's face is bright red and she taps her arms to get her to let go. "Fine, yes. We are supposed to meet at the ice cream parlor at 1."
"Then there is no time to waste! Here, let me help!"
~ ` ~ ` ~
It took a matter of 30 minutes, but Sakura was well on her way down to the ice cream parlor. She didn't want to run because she could just hear Ino griping in her head about how her 'perfect' work would be absolutely ruined. Nervously, Sakura tucks a loose strand behind her ear. The parlor comes into view and she quickens her steps, grateful that she opted for simple sandals that fit her comfortably instead of Ino's bright idea which was heels. Her feet would be killing her, she is not like Ino who could dead-sprint in stilettos.
She could see him outside of the parlor, leaning against the wall. His eyes catch hers and her heartbeat quickens as her cheeks flush. Sakura stops in front of him and he gives her a small smile.
"Hey," he says and Sakura's genius murmurs a quiet, "Hi."
Sakura looks anywhere but him for the simple reason she felt very self conscious, but it all stopped momentarily when he offers her his hand and he leads her inside the parlor.
"What kind of icecream do you like?" He asks her as they approach the cashier to order. Sakura hums, thinking, and she smiles before answering: "chocolate as of right now."
Sasuke laughs quietly, "As of right now?" He questions and looks at her amusedly.
"It changes," she supplies before looking up at him, "How about yours?"
"Strawberry."
They didn't stay at the parlor long, instead they found themselves at the beach. They walked along the waves, Sakura's sandals in one hand and the other hand locked with his. The sunlight against their skin was refreshing and added to the warmth of the situation, the wind carrying her laughter as they talked.
"So.." Sakura trails off, her eyes slowly looking up towards his, "What brought you and your family here?"
"My great uncle left it to my brother Itachi in his will, but it's a big house and he wanted to share it with the rest of us." Sakura hums, watching the brief coldness flash in his eyes when he mentioned his brother. She didn't question it, this date… Was that what it was? This date was going well and she didn't want to ruin it by prying into his family life.
"I had no idea he had any relatives, if I'm honest," Sakura says thoughtfully and smiles. "But, I'm happy to find that he did. My friends and I made it a habit to drop gifts and say hi during holidays." Sakura rambles, leaving out the 'because he seemed so lonely' due to her not wanting to offend him.
"Yeah.. He wasn't much for big family gatherings."Sasuke shrugs and then looks down at her, taking in the way the sun brought out the many different shades of greens and spots of blue in her eyes.
"You have very pretty eyes."
She blushes, looking away. "Thank you," she says softly and can feel her chin being lifted up by him. His gaze was heavy and the world stopped around her, nothing but their breathing and her heart beating ferociously could be heard with the gentle lullaby of waves.
"Don't look away from me, Sa-ku-ra." His thumb gently rubs against her cheek and she half expects him to kiss her but instead, he drops his hand and re-takes her hand in his.
"Shall I walk you home?"
Her mind is blank and it takes a minute for what he said to process. A little bit of disappointment bubbles in her, a fear that maybe she said something wrong. "Oh, uh, sure," she says softly and she guides him to her home which is across the street.
Once they arrive, she lets go of his hand and fidgets, unsure of what to do now. Sighing, she looks down at her feet before slowly looking up at him. "Look, I'm sorry if I said something wrong-" Her words die on her tongue because he does something so unexpected and peculiar.
He poked her forehead with his index and middle finger, effectively catching her off guard.
"I had fun, Sa-ku-ra," he removes his fingers and Sakura watches, dumbfounded. "Let's do it again sometime."
"Okay," she replies and a pretty blush forms on her cheeks, she shyly watches him leave with a small smile on her face.
She turns around and briefly catches blue eyes peeking through the blinds of the living room window and she sighs, shaking her head. Of course she would get no privacy.
Stepping inside the house, she is greeted by her mother and Ino laughing obnoxiously on the couch. Not at all suspicious. Sakura places her hand on her hip, looking at them expectantly.
"Did you guys sate your curiosity looking outside the window?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about," her mother states innocently before her expression turns devilish. "Buuuutttt, since you're here. Mind sharing the details?"
Sighing, Sakura gives in and decides to tell them about everything - with the exception of what happened near her front door. That, she had decided, would stay secret for her sake. Or as secret as it could, considering she was being watched the entire time they were out there."

Buck took a deep breath as soon as Athena had left with Bobby. He tried to suppress the avalanche of feelings that had been trying to escape him since the moment Maddie had told him about Daniel. Twenty-nine years living in a giant, cruel lie. Now, at least he knew why his parents had never been able to love him. At least now, he understood why he had never felt good enough. It's because he never had been.
A few steps away, he saw Eddie approaching him while he removed his helmet and gloves and threw them in the back of the ambulance right next to Buck.
"I know what you're going to say. I was reckless, stupid, and could have died. I know that I just..."
Any other word died on his lips because Eddie held his face with both hands with such care and affection that Buck felt his throat close; no one had ever looked at him that way, as if he were hanging the moon, as if Eddie was afraid that he was going to disappear before his eyes.
"Never again, did you hear me? Never again do you dare to pull something like that on me. Damn it, Buck, I almost died thinking something might have happened to you."
His voice was hoarse and choked as if he was trying very hard not to burst into tears right there, and Buck wanted to say something, claim that he was fine and that nothing had happened, but then Eddie came closer, standing between Buck's legs, his body so close to Buck's, that he could feel his heartbeat through his uniform.  As if that weren't enough, Eddie touched his forehead to Buck's, mixing their breath. There was nothing Buck could do but raise his hands to Eddie's waist, pulling him even closer.
"I'm truly sorry,” he murmured, watching as Eddie closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Buck followed in his footsteps, closing his eyes and concentrating only on Eddie's breathing, on the feeling of their bodies so close together, on how Eddie slid one of his hands up to the nape of his neck, pulling his hair so softly that Buck could barely feel it, but strong enough to give him the feeling of being terrified.
"Just promise me you will never do something like that again."
"Eddie, you know I can't..."
"No!” He looked away and opened his eyes, staring at Buck with determination. "I don't care that this is the job. You can't put yourself in danger like that, do you understand me? What the hell am I going to say to Christopher if something happens to you? That boy loves you, Buck; you're too important to him."
"I know, but Eddie I..."
"What about me? Damn Buck, what the fuck am I supposed to do if something happens to you? Have you ever stopped to think about that? I know you always put other people above yourself, that you always want to save everyone and you don't care to put your life on the line to do it, but... think of me, okay? If you want to put others above yourself so badly, then put me and Chris first. Every time you decide to risk yourself like this, think first about what it would do to us. "
"Eddie, I'm so sorry... you're right. I didn't think what it would do to you and Chris. Honestly, I didn't think it could affect you so much."
"How could you not know, Buck? How can you not know how important you are to us? Buck, I...” he took a deep breath again and then took Buck's face in his hands one more, making the blonde look at him directly in the eyes. "If anything happened to you, I would completely lose my mind; do you understand that? I would die, Buck, okay? You are everything and... you can't... never... okay? You can't leave me."
"I won't,” he says as firmly as he can, his blue eyes are already wet with tears and his voice breaking slightly. But he holds Eddie around the waist again and pulls him even closer than before, hugging him tightly as he sinks his face against his neck, breathing in the smell that is so unmistakably Eddie even under the smell of all the smoke.
"Please Buck, I know there's something going on inside your head. Please talk to me; it kills me to see you like this."
"I wasn’t enough, Eddie,” he grumbles against Eddie's neck, feeling like he just wants to hug him even tighter, and stroking the back of his neck. "They had me as a baby savior, but I couldn't save Daniel... I wasn't enough, and they hated me for it."
"Hey, no. Buck, you can't blame yourself for that, do you hear me? Your parents had no right to put that weight on you, much less the right to walk away from you after Daniel died. That's on them, Buck, not you. "
"Maybe. But they were also right, weren't they? I always do everything wrong, Eddie; I was a handful to Bobby when I walked into the fire department, always being irresponsible and reckless. I wasn't there when Maddie needed me, I... Eddie, I lost Christopher; you trusted me, and I... I lost him. "
"No, Buck!”Eddie moved away again, just enough to look into Buck's eyes, but close enough to still keep him in his arms. "You are an excellent firefighter, and Bobby couldn't have anyone better than you at 118. You took care of Maddie and protected her ever since she came to LA; you were there, Buck, every step of the way you stood beside her. And Chris... Jesus, Buck, you need to stop blaming yourself for this. You never lost him, Buck, a tsunami happened and you did everything to make sure he was safe, nothing that happened was your fault. "
"Yeah maybe, but I..."
"God, you have no idea how much I wish you could see yourself through my eyes. Maybe that way you would see the wonderful man you are. You care about everyone, you are loving and caring, you are always willing to help and reach out to anyone who needs it. "
Eddie smiled tenderly and ran his fingertips over Buck's face, wiping away the tears that were starting to trickle down the blonde's cheek.
"You are the man who spends his nights off playing video games with my son or watching cartoon movies; you help him with his homework and read about the subjects he’s interested in so you can talk to him about them later. You play lego with him on my living room floor, read bedtime stories to him, and make pancakes for breakfast because you know he loves them and that I can’t keep from burning them. You’re the man who assures me that I’m an excellent father every time I doubt myself, the guy who helped me build a skateboard so my son can feel like any other child. You are... something, Buck. You are unique. You are special. "
"Eddie..."
"And above it all, Buck, you are enough. You are more than enough for Christopher, and you are more than enough for me. Maybe your parents can't see it, but then, it's their fault, it's their loss. I just need you to know that you're not alone, Chris and I are here; you've got us, ‘cause we're not going anywhere, but I need you to stay too, okay? I need you to promise me you won't go anywhere either, Buck, because I wouldn't know how to survive if you did. "
"I promise."
"Do you mean that?"
"Yes, I promise, Eddie. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere."
"Good, because I love you, Buck; I'm completely in love with you and I can't lose you, do you understand?"
Buck was going to answer, he really was going to say something, because, honestly, he had a million things to say in that moment. He wanted to say that he was also completely in love with Eddie, he wanted to say that he couldn't lose him either and that just the thought of something like that happening had left Buck awake for several nights. He wanted to say that when he had seen Eddie buried under all that mud, not knowing if they were going to get him back alive, that at that moment Buck had almost died, that for a few minutes he’d had to imagine his whole life without Eddie and that he would rather die than face that future. He wanted to say that he loved Christopher so deeply that it scared him sometimes, that he would give his life for that boy. There were a million things he wanted to say; but how could he say anything when Eddie pressed his lips against Buck's so firmly and so smoothly at the same time? How could he speak any words when he was being kissed by the man he loved with all his heart and soul? There he was, living a moment that he had lived countless times in his dreams, but that he had never thought he would be able to experience in reality.
And it was beautiful, it was intense, it was passionate and it tasted like a bright future. It was not the scene he had dreamed of; it didn’t have the romantic atmosphere of a candlelight dinner and music playing in the background. What they had were sirens and voices echoing everywhere, and the smell of smoke and the fumes of whatever product came from that factory.
It was messy and sloppy and perfect, and Buck wouldn't change a thing.
"Come home with me," Eddie murmured against his lips. Home. That sounded good.
When they were finally released from their shift, Eddie drove through the streets of Los Angeles holding Buck's hand against his thigh, refusing to stop touching him even for a second, as if he needed a guarantee that Buck was there, alive, beside him. And Buck would never deny Eddie's touch.
Entering Eddie's house brought a warm feeling to his chest; here he felt welcome and at home... but then again, home always seemed to be wherever Eddie and Chris were.
"We need to clean up," Eddie whispered as he took Buck's hand and led him to the bathroom. There was nothing sexual about the way they slowly undressed each other, nor the way they got under the shower, washing away any traces of soot and dirt from their skins. Eddie hugged him under the jet of hot water, his hands running down Buck's back, stroking him tenderly. He kissed Buck's hair, his forehead, his birthmark, his cheek, his nose, his lips. The second kiss was even better than the first, and the third better than the second.
They kissed without the slightest hurry, only concerned with savoring the taste of one another exploring every inch of each other's mouths, memorizing every second; because now they can.
And later, when they were both lying on the bed in nothing but their underwear, Buck curled up in Eddie's arms, feeling calm and welcomed in the warmth of Eddie's skin and the feeling of his breath against his neck. The darkness in the room seemed perfect at that moment, and Buck was lost in the rhythmic beating of Eddie's heart against his back.
"Eddie?"
"Yes, cariño?"
"I love you, too."
He was finally home.

JAY HALSTEAD
Third and Fourth Wheeling
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Requested: yes
Prompts: "It's not a double date. We're just third and fourth wheeling."
Warnings: none
Authors note: I hope that this will meet your expectations! ❤️
"Okay stop whatever it is that you're doing," Will Halstead appears by your side on a hectic afternoon.
"Will I'm holding a cancer patient's charts in my hands," You look at him dumbfounded. Why does he think sneaking up on you in the middle work and telling you to drop everything is a good idea?
"Give me three minutes," You start counting immediately after those words leave his mouth.
"There's this new restaurant that opened not too long ago." He explains quickly, scared that you might leave before he gets to say it all. "Natalie and I want to check it out but because it's new, you know, they don't want to give us a two person reservation."
You're still not picking up what he's trying to tell you so he continues his train of thought. "I thought you might want to go check it out with us."
"Will I don't want to third wheel." You tell him. As much as you live for him and Natalie, going with them to this restaurant seems a bit odd.
"I promise you that you will not third wheel in any way. Okay you just gotta trust me on this one." The tablet in your hands was forgotten and the only thing on your mind was this dinner.
"William..."
"No. You're coming. End of discussion. Dress fancy." With that, he left you alone at the reception. Chasing after him all the way to trauma 2 would not only be stupid but also pretty unprofessional because that's where his patient is.
With a sigh you started walking towards your own patients, eyes glued to the tablet in your hands.
Usually you're good at avoiding collision in the ED but when your body came in contact with a much bigger and stronger one you had to take a step back to steady yourself.
Luckily you didn't fall to the ground as the person cached you before you managed to do so. "Woah Y/N, you okay?"
Jay Halstead.
"Jay if this is another one of your surprises I'm kind of busy at the moment." Jay and you were friends. You were close to Will and ended up being a good friend to his younger detective brother Jay.
You admit that Jay was a handsome guy. He had everything a girl would want but you were blind to see that he truly has eyes only for you.
His playboy image wasn't necessarily going into his favour. You were protecting your little heart by just not giving him the time of your day. But he gave you all of his.
Whenever he's in the ED it's either for Will, for work or for you. He even gave you flowers for your birthday that was not too long ago.
"Y/N the world doesn't rotate around you," He teased which made you roll your eyes. "For your information I'm here strictly work related."
"Oh, well. Good luck." With a bright smile you stride past him to meet your patient.
You ignore the race of your heartbeat.
***
"Yeah, I'm standing outside freezing." You hold your phone shakily next to your head. In a fancy dress and pointy heels you wait for Nat and Will to pick you up.
"Look we won't be able to make it."
Your jaw drops to the floor.
"Excuse me?" You say.
"But don't go anywhere Jay will pick you up since he's closer to your building than we are."
"You're setting me up with Jay?!" You yell at her. No matter how much you tell them they don't listen.
"Please just bare with me! We needed two more people and the two of you are perfect!" Her voice sounds sincere and you give in like you always do.
"Tell him to hurry." And with that you end the call.
***
Soon enough a sleek black car pulls up and Jay comes striding out. He's cleaned up nicely and you even admit he looks dangerously handsome in his suit.
"Jesus Y/N you're freezing." He says when he comes up to you.
"Nice catch detective." You breathe out a puff of air that turns into small clouds of air.
"Let's go." He places his hand on the small of your back and helps you settle in the car before joining you inside.
He turns on the heater and you see yourself visibly relax. The leather interior of the car starts to feel comfortable and you feel yourself fall in love with his car.
"It's nice right?" He chuckles next to you.
"Huh?"
"The car. You seem to love it." He explains.
"Aah," You smile. "The CPD pays well, doesn't it?"
"The CMD doesn't?" His eyebrow is raised teasingly.
"You don't see me drive this beast around town do you?"
"It's not like you and I hang out." There's something more in his words and you know it. "Except now when we're going on a double date."
You take a deep breath, "It's not a double date. We're just third and fourth wheeling."
"Yeah right. Keep telling yourself that Y/N."
You smile.
***
"Good evening." A restaurant attendant comes up to the two of you when your make your way inside. "May I take your coats?"
While you're a bit stiff, Jay seems to be as relaxed as one could be. He casually helps you take off your coat before handing it to the attendant. Coat check at restaurants isn't something you're so used to, so seeing Jay manouver his way with the fancy lads made you see a whole new side of him.
Coat free you were left in your dress. You didn't miss the way Jay looked at you. No matter how much you tried to deny it, it did bring out something in you.
"Do you want to walk among the fancy people like two people who don't know what they're doing... or will you take my hand and walk with me?"
"You win." With that you loop your arm through his and let him lead you away.
His lean body felt nice against yours. With the circumstances switched up you started looking at him differently. You wondered if this is what Will and Nat planned all along.
Soon you spot them. Both of them look dashing and perfectly dressed. "Wow..." Natalie mouthed when she saw the two of you.
Blush crept on your cheeks while Jay was helping you settle in your chair before sitting next to you.
"I mean..." Will started but lost his words.
"Isn't this the best decision ever?" Natalie piped in.
"I already told Jay this and I'll tell you again... This isn't a double date." You calmly say.
Next to you Jay was smiling from ear to ear.
"Adorable." Natalie giggles before taking a sip of wine. You roll your eyes while smiling.
"Well this is going to be a long night." Will comments.
"Cheers to that." Jay says and the two clink their fancy glasses.
***
All throughout the night you became more and more relaxed around Jay. For the first time you truly forgot about the boundaries you've set to yourself and let yourself get to know him.
He charmed you. Yes. He made you smile and laugh. Yes. He made you feel good about yourself. Yes.
You didn't stop thinking about the times your legs brushed against each others, or the times when he would casually drop his arm around your chair.
By the end of the dinner you did admit that this felt like a double date.
"Let me." Jay gestured towards your coat. Smiling lightly you let him take a space behind you and help you put it on. Your heart raced and cheeks began to flush as you felt him standing behind you.
"Are you driving with us?" Nat asked you. You thought about it for a second before shaking your head.
"You two go ahead. I'll see you tomorrow at work." You tell them before turning to Jay. "Do you mind dropping me off?"
The smile he gave you made you think that he just won the lottery. "Y/N wants to ride with me. Please, be my guest."
His hand on the small of your back doesn't feel foreign anymore. It's nice and comforting.
"So... What do you think?" You're settled in Jay's car once again only with different feelings in the air. The atmosphere was comfortable.
"It went better than I expected." You admit. Chicago during the night was a pretty sight to see, it made you smile instantly without you even realising it.
"What's going on with that smile?" Jay teases. Your cheeks tint with pink as you shake your head.
"Nothing. I'm just thinking." You reply, finding it hard to give him a sassy comeback like you always do.
Soon enough, the car is stopped and you're parked in front of your building. Realisation hits you and you take in the fact that the night is over.
You smile lightly before leaning in to give him a kiss on his cheek as a thank you. "I had fun tonight." You admit.
Something shines in his eyes before he replys, "Yeah me too."
You take it as your cue to open the door and bid him a last good night. Just before you close the car door you hear him call your name. "Hey Y/N."
"Hmm?"
"Do you want to have a drink with me some time?" He asks you. This wasn't the first time he asked you that but the only difference with this one was that you had a change in feelings. He seemed genuinely interested into taking you out for a drink and getting to know you. "I doesn't have to be anything fancy like tonight if you don't want to."
The chill Chicago air doesn't bother you as you lean against the door. "Yeah I'd like that."
Why not give him a chance. After all of the flowers and suprise drop-ins at the ED you could see that he meant it.
Your smile mimics his before you close the door and make your way inside. By the time you're warm again you find yourself thinking about Jay the whole night with a racing heart that followed.

Evening closes in...
Wedding playlist
WARNING: this shit gay and problematic. Get over it.
Usually when there was hustle and bustle at The Mighty Need Bar, it was because of something illegal or violent... Today however was a different story. Merriment and free drinks were being passed around without a care, sappy music was blasting through the speakers, and two of the most dangerous men on the planet were grinning at each other like a couple of lovestruck morons from across the room as they were congratulated by friends and coworkers'.
"All you had to do was sign that piece of paper with us?" Midoriya asked, looking over the marriage certificate, signed by himself and Nighteye, with old Gran Torino as the officiant.
"Yep. I have a few friends that'll take care of the rest," Toshinori said, nursing a glass (pint) of whiskey as he watched his new, wonderful, funny young husband chat with a few lowlifes across the room... Was that Shigaraki's beau, or Dabi's? He actually hadn't seen that guy in a while... Not since Midoriya and his friends had started staying around. "But for all intents and purposes... Rian and I are married now."
"How does it feel, old man?" The green-haired kid snickered, not quite dodging out of the way as the older villain gently cuffed him.
"Great, actually. Hopefully you live long enough to experience it, twerp."
"He's getting closer..." Nighteye said quietly. The tall and lanky man was fidgeting, glancing at the door.
"You saw the future and confirmed nothing would happen," the blonde said softly, glancing at the younger man. "You could stand to loosen up, before you tip off the room."
"It's not my place to argue with you, but I can't help but be nervous. Endeavor--"
"Is bringing a friend, and has agreed to come here under a truce," Toshinori murmured, watching as Midoriya got up to mind the door. "And he said he'd dress subtly. There shouldn't be a problem."
"Is Endeavor capable of being subtle?" Rian said, chuckling as he appeared from thin air. "Seems a bit too flashy."
The blonde grinned, feeling a bit giddy as his new husband kissed him on the cheek. "He is, trust me... And I'm sorry we have to do this today, Kitten."
"No worries, honey bunny. I don't blame him for wanting to meet Eri," the Rian said, smiling reflexively as he glanced down the bar. Eraserhead was sitting next to the little girl, who was happily coloring while sipping an apple juice... Or at least, Toshinori hoped it was apple juice. Hard telling, with Shigaraki manning the bar. "Plus, you know I can't resist a bit of drama, Boss."
"Speaking of drama..."
Seconds after Nighteye spoke, Midoriya and the youngest Todoroki wandered in, chattering quietly together, followed by a tall hooded figure in a well-used blue tracksuit. His body language fit right in, and the rest of the bar barely glanced up before going back to their own conversations. Toshinori's bright blue eyes met the turquoise gaze of Enji Todoroki, and the villain broke into a grin.
"Wow, been a while since I've seen you without the mask... You're getting old."
"Haha. As if you weren't two years above me in school," Enji grumbled, calculating eyes, studying the room, then twitching back to the blonde. "What's with the fancy clothes, you just come in from a funeral?"
"We're at a wedding reception, actually," Rian said, grinning.
"A wedding reception...?"
"Yep. I finally grew out of being a bachelor," the older villain chuckled. "Rian and I decided to make things official before something stupid happened."
The hero glanced between the two, but seemingly chose to keep his tongue in check. Instead, he looked pointedly at Eri. "That's her?"
"Sure is, my fiery underclassman."
"...That better be apple juice."
"It's apple juice," Eraserhead said, voice only barely loud enough to carry. "I checked."
Rian laughed softly as Eri looked up from her coloring book. "Hey sweety, mind coming over a minute? Our friend wants to meet you."
"Okay!"
Enji seemed confused for a second, belatedly realizing that he was the 'friend', as the small silver haired girl slid from her seat and carefully trotted over. Toshinori watched as the big redhead knelt down, inspecting the kid. Rian continued. "Eri, this is Mister Enji. He helped make sure we could escape the day we saved you, and he was wanting to make sure you were okay."
The little girl looked him up and down, then smiled softly, stiffly. "Hello..."
"Are they treating you alright?" Enji asked, "Giving you plenty of food, letting you play, making sure you sleep at a reasonable hour?"
Eri thought for a minute, then nodded. "It's... Nice here. They let me color. And Mister Aizawa helps make sure my quirk doesn't hurt anyone. Mister Might buys me movies I can watch, and Mister Rian gives me ice cream, and Mister Nighteye sometimes lets me go to the park when he says it's safe... They don't let most of the people here talk to me, but Izuku and Mirio said that's a good thing cause the people that eat here are... uhm..." She trailed off, then frowned. "I don't think I'm allowed to say that word."
Enji snorted. "They're probably right," he said, then pulled a small card from his pocket. "I doubt you'll need to, but... Here. This has my personal number on it. If you need anything, call."
The little girl nodded, taking the card. "Okay..."
Enji smiled slightly. "That's all I needed... You can go back to coloring now."
Eri nodded seriously, trotting back to Eraserhead as Toshinori grinned. "I take it we pass inspection?"
The redhead nodded, standing up. "That's all I needed. She seems to be in good hands... Thank you for letting me see her. I'm assuming you people are the only ones that know I'm here?"
"Yep," the blonde said, his mischievous grin mirroring Rian's. "Thought you might not want to ruin your reputation."
"That ship sailed years ago... I know what your people think of me. And after this situation, I can't blame them. We'll have to continue our little fights to keep up appearances, Yagi... But consider me on your side for now. I'm sick of all this damned corruption," he said. Toshinori was about to make a snide remark, but Enji dropped his hood, shocking the blonde and snapping the bar into silence. "Your kid's welcome over any time..." He said, then shot Rian a glare. "But stay the fuck out of my office."
With that, the 'hero' abruptly turned and left.
There was a beat of deathly quiet, then Toshinori gave a slight cough. "That was unexpected."
"Indeed..." Nighteye murmured as Rian hopped the bar and began scribbling something on a piece of paper, glancing at him, the lanky man said, "he keeps tape in the upper right drawer of his desk."
"Gotcha."
Toshinori looked at the note just in time for Rian to step through a portal. It read 'Don't tell me what to do'. The blonde only barely stopped himself from bursting out in a fit of laughter. "Oh, he'll love that..." The blonde murmured, shaking his head with a grin.
Never a dull moment.

Just Like Him
Double Square: Locked in a Room/Closet Together & Quote
Tags: @thisismysecrethappyplace and @spnquotebingo
Paring: Dean Winchester x Fem!Reader
Side Characters: John Winchester(mentioned), Sam Winchester,Bobby Singer, Castiel, Werewolf pack.
Tumblr media
"I can't you believe you got us into this, Winchester." Y/n quietly hissed at the man she was face to face with in the dark of a wardrobe of the mutts they we're hunting. It went down hill after they found the packs home which was one of the largest houses in town. A whole ass family of werewolves lived here and they all just got home every single one of them. "Why are you blaming me?!" He harshly whispered back.
Y/n rolled her eyes as the loud noises of a party or feast down stairs shock the floor beneath them. "You said the pack can't be that big. Let's just go in and see if we can gank em." She said mocking his deep voice. "Now were stuck in a closet while are guns are under the bed." The women pushed up on his chest since she was well past aggravated. "Hey at least we can know what were up against." He said with a smirk as their eyes adjusted to the darkness.
The oldest Winchester was glad that they barley had any room or he would have silently been beaten to a pulp. "Do you have your phone? We need back up...there must be around triple the amount of a normal pack has." She muttered to herself. Dean looked at her sheepishly and the anger in her eyes grew brighter. "I left it in baby." He said with a wince. "Y-you left it behind? I'm going to rip a hole in ya before those flee infested mutts can!" Y/n whispered yelled trying to move her arms in vain.
"What about your phone?!" He said trying to shift the blame on her. "Well since you don't remember. You threw my bag into our room breaking it!" She sighed heavily her temper was only rising. "I can take em on,Y/n." Dean defended. "No you can't." She said resting her head on the wall of the wardrobe.
Foot steps made there way up the stairs sound like a couple sets. The noise stopped outside of the room and both hunters strained their eyes to hear them. "I smell something off,Claudette." A young male voice said along with light sniffing. "Clark you're being foolish no one is dumb enough to come here." A female voice scoffed. Y/n looked at Dean and mouthed the words 'Dumbass' making him mouth a 'Fuck you' in return. The foot steps went into the room. "It doesn't smell right in here." The man said walking around. Looking at Dean he had a stupid look on his face and that made her eyes widen as she shock her head. His lips moved counting down from three.
When he got to one the wolves was right in font of the closest doors when they slammed open knocking him on his ass. "CLARK!?" The female said in shock as she rushed over to attack the hunter on top of her pack mate. Dean has wrestled the the now shifting wolf towards the bed and slipped his hand underneath it grabbing his revolver. The barrel was pushed against his chest and was fired. "YOU HUNTER SCUM.!!" She yelled attacking him. Y/n stepped out of the closet and swiftly moved to the other side of the bed to get her shotgun. The women was about to rip into Dean's throat with her claws when the pump of the shotgun made her freeze before she was shot and her body went limp.
Blood painted his face and clothes as he let out a huff, but that was short lived as the rapid stomping of feet rushed up the stairs. "Dear Chuck I hate you." She groaned as the door busted almost of the hinges. There was several werewolves in the doorway and more behind them. Dean and Y/n fought for as long and as hard as they could, but they were out numbered more then they ever have been before. Instead of them getting their hearts ripped out they were both knocked unconscious.
Y/n was woken up by the shouting of Dean. He thrashed in the shared binds uncontrollably trying to get the tall man in front of him to move away. Looking up she can see that another stood before her,but her eyes widen when his sharp fangs dug into her arm. She howled in pain as she regained her senses quickly after that. "Don't worry darling. We'll make sure your well feed." Who can only be the alpha said as the few mutts with them left them tied to a metal pillar in the center of the damp room. They didn't turn the oldest Winchester with their gagged teeth they wanted him to suffer in a different way.
"Y/n/n I'm gonna get us out of this and get you a cure." He said with such confidence, but it only made her angry. "Shut the fuck up! We're in this because of you and you have no one else to blame, but yourself." Her E/c eyes glistened with ushered tears that he couldn't see. Dean was stunned at the back lash. "If you could have just listened to anyone...ANYONE!!! but yourself for two fucking seconds we could have been prepared. You're acting just like John." She paused to breath as a tear rolled down her cheek. "Can't expect help. Have to be all macho and the best there is. Look where that got him!!! Hated by all hunters, putting people he cared about in danger, and getting himself killed." Y/n left the tears slip past down her heated face.
It was Dean's turn to get defensive. "Don't compare me to my dad. I'm nothing like him!" He shouted even though at times he kind of was. "I didn't compare you to him. I said you were acting like him." She said sighing. Y/n contained a groan of pain as she felt her a new set of teeth form within her mouth. "D-dean...you're nothing like John. You've proved to be better man then he ever was,but when you think that only you can carry the weight of the world it puts you in a mind set that you must be the savior." A pained grunt left her throat as her nails were shoved out and replaced with claws. The moon shined through a small slit for a window it was late at night that the sun will soon rise again.
She wanted no needed to confess something to Dean before she turned she couldn't go being pissed at him. "Y/n tell me what to do. What can I do?" He sounded like he was the one who was pained. "I need you to get out of here and live. I'm running out of time and as long as I don't eat a human you'll have a chance to get me cured." She said with a toothless smile there was still something she had to get of her chest before he escaped. Straining her ears she can hear that what was left of the pack was gone to get a large enough meal. "I love you,Winchester. If you come back and I'm too far gone put me down cause I know you will." She said as she used her new claws to cut the ropes. It fell limply on their waists and Dean stood up as Y/n stayed seated.
He handed her her shotgun and he took his own weapon. "I-I love you too,Y/n/n. You'll pull through this you're a Singer." Dean said as he left her behind slipping through the window. He was going to make her proud he didn't listen to her before, but he'll make sure that her words won't fall on deaf ears. Dean went back to their motel room and used his phone to call Sam and Bobby before he prayed to Cas. After the two hunters and angel arrived hours later it was time to save his childhood crush ever since John took them to Bobby's house.
[After Dean left. Back to Y/n]
The moment Dean climbed out of the basement she stood up and went up to the door it was lock. She smiled showing her sharpened teeth grabbing the doorknob she crushed it in her hand making it impossible to unlock. Hours after the impala's loud engine faded away she hear the teen wolf wannabe bastards come back. Y/n sat back down at where she first woke up. She would be damned if she became one of the things she hunted since she was nine.
The door shook violently before the slab of wood was knocked down kicking up dust after it fell down the stair. Spinning the shotgun in her hand she looked up at the dozen werewolves in front of her. "Let's dance." She said with a smirk as her E/c turned golden eyes gleamed with a new fight. Fighting was tough since they've all have feasted on human flesh and were more resilient to her attacks. Y/n had her arms and legs pinned as she thrashed viciously making the supernatural bastards sweat. The alpha of the pack leaned over her head. He tisked at her as he tilted her head to look at him. "Soon pet all that fights gonna leave you. Just take your first meal and be as strong as us." He said brushing his fingers down her cheek. "My what big eyes you have" He teased looking into her eyes. "Better to see you lifeless corpse." She hissed. "What sharp teeth you have."A deep chuckle came from his throat as she tried to bite as his fingers.
He stood up as his ears twitched along with the others. A wolfish grin pulled on her lips as she heard the front door get smashed in. "I think you have company." She said as several of the wolves in human form ran off. "We're not done here pet!" He snapped. "Yes. Yes you are." A voice said from the staircase. Dean stomped down the stairs as havoc continued just a floor above them. He shot the few wolves that stayed in the basement with silver bullet killing them easily in their human forms. The alpha snarled and shifted with the lack of full moon and charged at the oldest Winchester. "I don't need a bloody pack at my defense to make you suffer!" The now fully shifted werewolf lunged forward and started to fight Dean.
Y/n dragged herself to the nearest wall and pulled herself up. There were claw and bite Mark's littering her body she was bleeding so much and was already trying to fight the animalistic urges that started to over power her. It was getting harder and harder especially with the scent of humans near. A spine chilling growl came from the corner of the room. "Dean! How about that cure?!" She yelled fighting herself to not attack him as he fought. "Bobby's looking for the sire and you'll be back to telling me off." He said in response. The wrestling match went on,but it went down to a hand to hand match when Dean's gun was thrown across the room. With quite grunts and heavy breaths the women with (h/c) got up fully and used all the strength left in her to jump on the back of the mutt and fight. If she was going to lose any battle it was going to be on her terms and she refused it to end with the person she loved dead and heartless.
Dean was shocked for a moment before he made his move to grab his gun. He check it and it was empty tossing it aside he looked around for anything with silver that's when he saw it. ~"Hello?! Y/n are you listening?" The young blonde groaned. "Tell me what you're doing again?" The teenager layed across his friends bed as he watches her organizing quarters. "It's for emergency's." She said with a giggle as she puts another roll of coins in the small bag. "What kind of emergency would need hundreds of dollars worth of coins?" He argued sitting up with a sigh. "One day you'll be thankful for thousands of pieces of silver." ~The largest smile grew on his face as he grabbed the bag and Y/n's shotgun and put the now custom bullets of condensed quarters in the barrel. Cocking it he rushes over and shoots the werewolf in the back. Using the second shot he had he fired it in his chest killing the alpha. It was silent for a moment before he pushed the now lifeless body out of the way. Y/n layed there panting and bloody. "Y/n/n I got you. SAMMY! BOBBY!" Dean yelled at the end. Multiple sets of foot steps came down the stairs the older hunter held a syringe of yellow liquid. Pushing the plunger down the hunters sat in silence as they waited for any sign that it worked. Cas came over and healed her wounds as she shot up gasping the claw and bite marks gone.
[Time Skip because filler is boring]
Y/n rested in her bed at the bunker. Her father went home and Cas went off to heaven after she was safe. Dean sat by her side talking with her. "You know Winchester. At times you can act just like John, but I sure do love it when you take down that soldier act and become a hero...my hero." She said with a fond smile as she brushed her hand through his hair. Dean chuckled leaning into her touch as his mind wondered even if he was different from his father, but that still didn't change the fact that when it came to protecting the one's they love they'll do just about anything. Maybe he was just like him.

Manhatten Heroes [2]
{Percy Jackson & Avengers Crossover}
Prompt - When the Second Titan War is being fought, the sudden chaos is, naturally, brought to the attention of the Avengers. They find that Percy and his sister, (Y/N) Jackson, are leading Camp Half-Blood and find themselves fighting alongside the demigods to help defend New York. Once the war is won, the Jackson siblings are taken into custody for interrogation.
@a-studying-narnian-demigod (you requested, I figured you'd want a tag!)
Part One can be found on my profile :)
Tumblr media
"First things first—what are you?"
Percy and I sat frozen in our seats—we'd been brought into some kind of conference room and sat at a table. The rest of the Avengers sat surrounding us, and Nick Fury was currently taking the lead on this one.
I looked to Percy, and he looked to me. From our level of understanding, we knew that the Avengers weren't regular humans. They themselves had special abilities and had a god or two on their team.
"Demigods." Percy answered, sitting lazily in his seat.
"From Asgard?" Tony Stark asked in disbelief. "Thor, Loki, the Nine Realms, that kinda thing?"
"What?" Percy freaked, eyebrows furrowed. "N-No, who the Hades is Thor and Loki?"
"They're Norse gods, Percy." I said, "And, no. We aren't, in any way, consulting with them. We're Greek demigods—The son and daughter of Poseidon, to be exact."
"Wait, wait, wait," the only other woman in the room joined in—I remembered her to be Natasha. "You're telling us that the Greek gods are real, too? Zeus, Poseidon, Hades–"
"Names have power," I glared. "You don't go throwing them around like that, it's dangerous."
The room fell silent at my warning, and I hadn't realized until then that my glare had turned into a wolf stare. I hadn't meant to become so hostile, but I didn't exactly plan on fighting an angry god or two.
"But I thought Poseidon made some kind of oath not to have mortal children," Banner said. "How could you be children of Poseidon?"
"There's a smart man." Percy murmured, "He broke his oath. Twice. He fell in love with our mortal mother—the first time creating me, the second time creating (Y/N). Zeus and Hades broke their oaths as well."
"There's more of your kind?" Clint asked.
"Many." I responded. "All the Olympians have mortal children except for Hera and Artemis. Some of those children go on to live normal lives, never truly knowing what they are. The rest of us aren't so lucky."
"Lucky?" Tony said. "You're children of one of the most powerful gods in Greek mythology, and you don't consider yourselves lucky?"
"We grew up with an abusive step father, were bullied our entire lives, were forced to take on dangerous quests when we were barely twelve, and just fought a war in our mid-teens." I listed, "Our lives are dangerous. Monsters sniff us out and attempt to kill us everyday. Because of our bloodline, we have ADHD and Dyslexia—the other kids in school look at us and think we're stupid, they don't know that we just saved every single one of their lives."
The room was silent as they comprehended the dangers Percy and I had faced as kids. And I knew they felt bad for us, purely because we were kids. They didn't have to, we didn't need pity, we needed food.
"Why does your bloodline include ADHD and Dyslexia?"
"Ugh, seriously, Stark?" Natasha scolded. "That's what stuck out to you the most in what (Y/N) just said?"
"The Dyslexia is because our brains were hardwired to read Ancient Greek, not English." Percy said. "And the ADHD is our natural battle reflexes—we weren't made to sit still and learn about George Washington, we were built to fight wars."
"I'm not gonna lie, that's pretty cool." Sam said, earning a smack on the back of his head from Natasha.
"Hey!"
"Being children of the gods must mean you come with special abilities." Fury concluded, "What are they? Are they the same for everyone?"
"No," I responded. "Your abilities depend on who your godly parent is. As we've just told you, all demigods have heightened senses, I guess you could say our senses are godly. But Percy and I being the son and daughter of Poseidon means we can do things like—control water, breath underwater, talk to horses and marine animals."
"And when we absolutely need to," Percy continued. "We can cause earthquakes and hurricanes, start storms. Poseidon is the stormbringer."
They gawked at us, which was to be expected. For the most part, they were handling the news pretty well and I was thankful they weren't going crazy over it like most mortals would.
"What could, lets say, a child of Athena do?" Fury asked, hypothetically.
"They're really smart, really good at coming up with battle strategies quickly. They don't have any actual powers, but they're really smart."
Fury hummed, "Next question."
"Great," I muttered.
"That war we found you two finishing, what was that all about?"
All eyes were on us now, everyone, as always, expecting our answer. But now that they knew what and who we are, they were probably expecting it to be, like, amazing or something.
So we went on to explain everything about Luke, and how he teamed up with Kronos to destory the gods and take over the world. We told them everything leading up to the war, too—how me and Percy first found out about who we were, being accused of stealing the lightning bolt, having to navigate through the Labrynth, etc. Throughout the story, they occasionally asked questions and sat in awe as we told them everything we had to go through just to save the world: everything we've lost while we did it as well as the very few things we've gained. We even told them about Zeus' offer to make me and Percy immortal gods—which we had declined.
By the end of our explanation, some of them refused to make eye contact with me and Percy, while others looked at us with softened facial expressions. Fury was the only person with a hardened expression, but even his face had slightly softened. The room, once again, was quiet, but at this point, I knew we had earned their respect.
Clint Barton was the first to break the silence, "you kids have done real good by your father." he said. "I'm sure he's proud."
"Er, thanks," Percy shuffled awkwardly. We weren't used to being praised—things like that never happened.
"Well, it's gotten pretty late," Captain—Steve—said. I turned my head to glance out the window, finding myself being greeted by the nighttime sky. "You should stay here for tonight. As you've told us, it's dangerous for the both of you out there. I can't imagine when it gets dark."
Percy was about to excuse the offer, but I was quick to intervene. My body ached from the fight and my mind was unbelievably worn out—if a monster were to attack on our way home, I think I'd lay down and let it tear me to shreds.
"Thank you," I said, earning a look of confusion from Percy. "We appreciate it, really."

"I KNOW this ain't you, Brooklyn!!" Benny bellows as he enters the Cleveland house.
He's waving around Luna's Yankees hat in his hand. She's standing in the kitchen against the counter in a tube top and black and red oversized swooshies. Long hair loosely pulled back.
"Shit." She scowls. "Where'd you find it?" She asks reaching for the hat.
"On the ground in the GOD DAMN driveway, Girl!" Benny informs her with a disapproving look.
"Nope." Luna shakes her head, pointing at Colson. "Blame him. It's all his fault." She says laughing.
Standing in the dining room, playing pool against Slim. Colson looks at them both.
"Bitch, please. You wanted this Deeek." He laughs.
Benny and Slim burst into howls. Luna smirks tossing up her middle finger. There's a black heart tattooed on it.
"With love, BITCH." She smirks at Colson.
Just then Rook and Baze burst through the door.
"WHAT UP!!!!" Rook roars.
"We ready to fucking party till our faces fall off!!" Baze shouts with him.
Everyone's collecting at Colson's tonight. They head to Cincinnati in the morning. Kicking off a month full of dates. They'll break in July. Word being that they'll head over seas by August.
Music is blaring. Joints flowing. Beers are cracked Everyone is excitedly talking about what to expect while on The Bus.
--------------------------------------------------
Colson takes Benny with him to pick Casie up from school. He has an ulterior motive.
"Yo, Benz... You know that dude Tommy, Luna used to run wit?" He asks him as the split a joint.
"Yeah, I know that Bull." Benny exhales.
"He's been hitten' her up. You think I gotta problem?" He asks, hitting th he joint.
Benny's head whips over at Colson's words. Those are not good words.
---------------------------------------------------
Of course Benny knows Tommy. You can't make a move in NYC without coming across Tommy Eagan. Benny hadn't realized it at the brownstone but he'd meet Luna once before also. It had been at a party in MidTown. Benny watched as Tommy drug a screaming man across the apartment and threw him off of the 13th floor fire escape. Killing him instantly. Luna handing him a beer when he climbed back inside. Benny didn't know the details at the time, learning later through NY folklore, that the man's eyes had lingered too long on Tommy's girlfriend. Luna.
NY folklore is just that. Tommy did kill the man. Over a personal vendetta, not Luna. She did hand him his beer, because he had a lot of them. And they weren't hers. Luna learned early on, that being with Tommy meant toeing the edge at all times. She had loved the danger and had no fear.
-------------------------------------------------
"Possibly." Benny answers honestly after hesitating. "Word is that Bull worshipped Luna."
Benny watches his friend's jaw clench. Colson starts puffing on the joint. He looks over at Benny.
"You make sure the bus is stocked." Telling him firmly.
Benny nods. Not liking where Colson's head is.
--------------------------------------------------
Back at the house, Slim is running the table against Baze now. Windows are wide open. Trying to air out their massive session before Colson gets back with Casie.
Luna sees Rook sitting on the steps alone.
"What's up, Pal?" She asks.
Sliding onto the lip of the step beside him, Luna hands him a beer. He gives her a glance as he takes it from her.
"Thanks." Rook says, clinking his beer to hers.
"You alright?" She asks, concerned.
"Meh. It's stupid." He short changes himself.
"Stop." Luna coaxes him. "What's going on?"
"I thought this chick was gonna hit the first couple cities with us but she bailed on me. I've been talking to Stephanie but I'm getting tired of being dicked around." He looks up suddenly. "Fuck. I'm sorry, I know she's your friend."
"Steph's dicking you around?" She asks Rook directly.
Luna's not surprised with Stephanie and is instantly defensive of Rook's feelings.
"No.. No.. No..." He says, putting one drumstick in the air. "She's not doing anything. I just like her and, she of course has a dude." Rook sighs.
"Hey... New tour, new cities, new people. We have no idea what's out there." Luna tries to reassure her friend.
"Yeah..." He perks up. Looking at her with honest eyes, he admits. "I kinda just want what you and Kells have. That go with the flow, no games, figure out because we're in love shit."
"You know what I believe?" She asks Rook, looking up. Showing her own honesty. "I believe we have more than one soulmate. That we float in and out of each other's lives. Giving peices of ourselves to the other as needed. Sometimes for a long time, sometimes short." She shrugs.
Luna's words give Rook a weird sense of relief.
"I never thought of it that way..." He nods.
"Perspective, Bud. I gotta believe that we're more complex than just one for one. Otherwise I'd be a fucking LunaTic." She grins at him, tossing him an elbow.
Matching her with a laugh. They're interrupted as Casie bursts through the door. Spotting them first.
"ROOOOK!!! LOONEY TUNES!!" She screams, barreling towards them.
-------------------------------------------------
Ashleigh and AJ show up. Completing The Gang.
They order pizza, mozzarella sticks, wings and cheese fries. Drinking, eating, game planning the next day.
Rook and Benny are staying at Colson's. Casie's being picked up by Emma tonight but Colson and Luna will drive her to school in the morning. Seeing her one last time before their off. Everyone meeting back at Colson's before picking The Bus up DownTown.
Standing in the dining room, Ashleigh asks Luna of she's nervous about being on tour.
Luna shakes her head and shrugs. "Not really.... I've been on and off a few before... What do you think about scooping up my friend Sam for a bit, once we hit NY?" She asks Ashleigh's opinion.
Luna looks over at Rook, who's chowing on a slice of pizza. They both could use the company.
"I think she'd be a fun boost of estrogen to the pack..." She adds.
"Yeah, I'm sure Kells and The Boys won't mind. And we're definitely out numbered!!" They laugh together. "She'll be at the NY show?" Ashleigh asks.
"Yeah, she already has a ticket." Luna answers.
"Cool..." Ashleigh tries to answer as Colson throws Luna over his shoulder and grabs Ashleigh's hand.
"I'm sorry!!" Luna laughs as he drags them along with him.
Emma's there and Casie wants to say GoodBye. Huge hugs and loud kisses are given. Promises to see her on The Bus soon.
Colson and Luna walk Casie and Emma outside. Luna squats down and squeezes Casie again. Standing up, the adults agree to see each other in the morning. Luna planting another loud kiss on Casie's head.
"Love you, Dilla!!!" She calls as Colson walks them to the car. Buckling Casie in.
"Love you too, Looney Tooney!!" Casie yells back as her parents laugh at them.
Waving them GoodBye as Emma and Casie pull out, Luna leans her head against Colson.
"I fucking love her." She sighs feeling a sudden burst of sadness over missing the little girl.
Colson kisses the top of Luna's head as he pulls her close. He has the exact feeling pulsing out of her.
"I know, Kitten. We'll see her tomorrow. Come on." He says guiding her inside.
-------------------------------------------------
Finishing up the food, they drink more. Burn hard. The music blasts as they talk and laugh. Getting a little too fucked up.
--------------------------------------------------
Finding their way upstairs, Colson and Luna are sloppy and drunk. Kissing all over each other. Stripping their clothes off as they enter the bedroom.
"I'm so glad you're coming with me. Now I don't have to find a new thot each night." He laughs into her mouth in between kisses.
"Fuck you. You're such a slutter butter." She laughs, kissing him back hard.
Luna jumps up, wrapping her legs around Colson's waist as he grips her ass. Running her hands through his blonde hair. It's long and he needs a shape up. She kisses along his jawline and nibbles his ear.
Tossing her on to the bed, she giggles as she bounces. Slipping off her panties as Colson drops his briefs. He climbs on top of her, throwing her smooth legs over his shoulders. Kissing on her neck, he thumbs her peircings as she guides his huge dick inside her warm pussy.
"Oh, Luna..." He sighs out as she pushes him deep inside of her. "You feel like fucking heaven."
Colson thrusts himself into her as she holds onto his hips, popping hers into his. The way he plays the notes of her body, it's as if it was created solely for him.
"Fuck Colson!" Luna pants, gripping his skin in her black fingernails as he rocks back and forth into her.
Sliding his hand around her throat, he kisses her hard. Clamping his hand tight.
"1.2.3. GO!" He demands, slamming into her with each word.
Making them both eagerly cum.
--------------------------------------------------
Colson and Luna wake up early. Hung over and miserable. Both railing Adds before showering. One for her. Three for him.
They fuck in the shower. It's part of Colson's hang over remedy and a ritual of theirs. Smoking a joint together, he patches her shoulder and checks out her machine gun tattoo. Both look good to him.
Luna pops two 30s. Tossing on a System of a Down t-shirt, cutoffs and black Docs, she fishbraids her hair into pigtails.
Throwing on her leather and shades, she sips on her coffee as she waits for Colson in the kitchen.
"Fuck, YOU ARE HOT! Gimme that pretty little mouth of yours." He exclaims upon seeing her.
Luna smirks as he grabs her ass and kisses her.
"Come on HornBall." She laughs.
Her ass leading him out the door.
--------------------------------------------------
"LUNA!!! YOUR GLASSES!!!"
Is the first thing out of Casie's mouth as she hops in the car. Waving to Emma out the window, Luna turns in her seat.
"You like?" She grins at her tiny bestfriend.
"I LOVE!!!" She declares.
"I knew you would!" Luna tells her, slipping her a hard glasses case.
Opening it, Casie squeals. They're the exact pair Luna's wearing. She had found them, instantly thinking of Casie. Buying two.
"WHAAAAT!!!!!" Casie screams. "THANK YOU LOONEY!!! LOOK AT ME, DADDY!! THEY'RE SO COOL!!!" She continues to scream as she puts the sunglasses on.
Colson grabs Luna's thigh as they laugh at the little girl.
"I don't give a fuck what she says. This Bitch is gonna marry me." Colson decides

Day Trip {1X08,part 2} Bellamy Blake Fanfiction! Darkness!
Tumblr media
It has felt like hours have gone by when really, I know it’s barely been more than 20 minutes. I’m sure he didn’t just leave, because his bag is still here. I let out a sigh and I decided to go find him.
“Nothing personal.” I hear someone say. I saw Dax, one of the delinquents, pointing a gun at Bellamy’s head. I stopped dead in my tracks .My eyes widened and my throat has tightened with fear. Bellamy was on the floor, defenceless but had his hand in the air as though he was holding a gun. What the hell is wrong with him? Maybe Dax hit his head pretty hard. I quickly looked around me, trying to find a quick solution, but I didn’t find any. I should have brought a gun with me. I decided to do what I have been doing from the day I came down here. Put myself in danger. In the blink of an eye, I ran and dived at Dax and we tumbled to the floor. I sat on top of him and started punching him. He caught hold of my wrists to prevent me from hitting him. He tighten his grip so much, soft whimper escapes from my lips. He put me on my back on the floor and sat on top of me, pinning my arms above my head.
‘’ Well, well, well. Who we have here? Jasmine Kane’’ He said with a huge smirk on his stupid face. I glared at him and if looks could kill, he would be dead.
‘’Let me go, you dick!’’ I yelled, trying to hit him with my legs, but it was not use.
‘’ Shumway said no witnesses.’’ Dax said looking down at me.
‘’What are you talking about?’’ I asked puzzled and I quickly glanced in the direction of Bellamy. He was still on the floor, not moving.
‘’ Shumway set it up. He gave Bellamy the gun to shoot the chancellor.’’ He informed me and I wasn’t surprised. I never trusted this guy.
‘’ You know Kane. I always found you very attractive’’ he said with lust, making my blood ran cold. This was like a Deja-vu.
‘’ Sorry. The feeling is not mutual’’ I said through gritted teeth. He let go of my wrists and I immediately moved them to his shoulder, trying to push him away.  With one movement, he ripped my shirt in half, leaving me only in my bra. I let out a loud scream and wiggled around to get free. Dax pried my hands away from his shoulder roughly and pinned them above my head again.  Please ,Bellamy ,wake up!
Dax was about to kiss my neck, but he was thrown off of me by Bellamy. Bellamy kneeled down and pierced Dax’s neck with something, killing him almost instantly. Bellamy’s face was covered in blood as he stared at Dax with pure hate. I stand on my feet slowly and ran and hugged Bellamy’s waist. He must have been a bit startled, ‘cause he didn’t hug me back instantly. As Bellamy was holding me securely, he rested his head on mine.
‘’Are you okay?’’ Bellamy asked me quickly, pulling me even closer, if that was possible. I just nodded, not wanting to talk about Dax. Νot right now.
‘’I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry for wanting to leave you. I was not thinking straight.’’ He apologised. I pulled away a little bit, making him look at me. He pursed his lip in shame. I inhale sharply, wanting to make a snide comment but I decided against it.
‘’Bellamy! You’re okay Bellamy.’’ I comforted him, as he started to shake a little bit. He shook his head and sat down with his back against a tree.
‘’ No Jasmine, I'm not. My mother... If she knew what I've done, who I am she raised me to be better, to be good. All I do is hurt people. I'm a monster. ’’ He said and his voice cracked in the end. I kneeled in front of him, grabbing his face in my hands.
‘Hey...You’re always saving me. You may be a total ass most the time, but I need you. I like you that way, Bellamy. We all need you. None of us would've survived this place if it wasn't for you. You want forgiveness, fine, I'll give it to you. You're forgiven, ok, but you can't run, Bellamy. You have to come back with me. You have to face it.’’ I admitted with a smile. He placed his hands over my own and took a deep breath. He nodded and he gave me a small smile back.
‘’I have to speak with Jaha.’’ He said, after seconds of thinking.
‘’it’s the best thing to do.’’ I nodded agreeing with him.
‘’Will you be by my side when I do that?’’ He asked me shyly and I let out a soft laugh.
‘’Of course, Bellamy. Anything for you.’’ I said before kissing his left cheek. Bellamy swallowed before he pulled me into his embrace.
‘’Um Jasmine I think you need my jacket.’’ Bellamy pointed out seconds later and my cheeks flushed red as a tomato. I crossed my arms, covering my upper body, feeling self-conscious. Bellamy took off his jacket and wrapped it around me and I murmured a ‘thank you’.
‘’ Jasmine you have a beautiful body. But our camp is filled with hormonal teenagers and I don’t want them looking at you. It makes me wanna murder them.’’ Bellamy confessed with a frown.,making me blush even harder. He’s gonna be the death of me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`s~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What if he brings other grounders back? He'll kill us all.” Someone declared.
“Or worse.” Someone added.
 “Let the grounders come!” Bellamy’s voice boomed as we entered the camp dripping with confidence.
 “We've been afraid of them for far too long, and why? Because of their knives and spears.” Bellamy said with a strong voice.
 ‘’Well, I don't know about you,” He glanced at me and smirked as we dropped the bags of guns on the ground for everyone to see.
“But I’m tired of being afraid.” He continued as gasps and murmurs were made from the crowd.
‘’These are weapons, ok, not toys, and we have to be prepared to give them up to the guard when the dropships come, but until then, they're gonna help keep us safe..” I announced happily.
“And there are plenty more where these came from. Tomorrow we start training. If the grounders come, we're gonna be ready to fight.” Bellamy added with a proud smile on his face.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~c~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘’Hey do you need a shirt?’’ A voice said from behind me and I turned around to see Raven. I nodded slowly and she made a sign for me to follow her. We entered the dropship and she went to her bag and she pulled a green shirt and gave it to me. I took it, taking Bellamy’s jacket off and pulling the shirt over quickly.
‘’Thanks’’ I thanked with a smile.
‘’No problem . I’m Raven.’’ She said pulling out her hand for me to shake it.
‘’ I know. I’m Jasmine.’’ I said shaking her hand.
‘’ I know.’’
‘’Hey, if you need someone to speak to, I am available.’’
‘’But I thought you were Clarke’s best friend?!’’ she asked confused and I nodded.
‘’Yes I am. But that doesn’t mean that I’m not a girl. I know it’s not my place to say anything, but honestly you shouldn’t be angry after Clarke. She didn’t know about you and Finn. It was Finn’s fault. Put the blame on the right person’’ I said honestly. She stayed quiet. Probably thinking of what I said.
‘’Thanks for the shirt again. I really appreciate it.’’ I waved at her before leaving.
‘’ Jasmine! You’re not going to believe this!’’ Octavia exclaimed happily running in my direction, as I walked out of the dropship.
‘’Ain’t I?’’ I asked as she pulled me away, to the side.
‘’He kissed me. The grounder kissed me!’’ she squealed like a schoolgirl. My eyes widened. I didn’t expect that. I smiled and I hugged and she hugged me back.
‘’Was he a good kisser?’’ I smirked and she nodded, making my smile grew.
‘’I’m very happy for you Octavia, but don’t say this to anyone, alright? Especially your brother. He is going to kill you, the grounder and me.’’  She rolled her eyes, still with a smile on her face.
‘’ I don’t want to die this young.’’ She laughed and I joined her.
‘’You are the one who let him free, huh?’’ she nodded. She looked behind me and her smile faded.
‘’What are you two talking about?’’ I turned around and I saw Bellamy looking suspiciously at us.
‘’Nothing. About periods. You know, girly stuff.’’ I said quickly, with a nervous laugh and Octavia nudged me in the ribs.
‘’What was that for?’’ I glared at her and we both turned around and smiled nervously at Bellamy. He looked at us with raised eyebrows and shook his head.
“I don't expect you to forgive me, but you'll have to find a way to live with me because I'm not going anywhere.’’ Bellamy said looking at his sister, before giving us two blankets and he left. Octavia and I let out a sigh of relief and we put the blankets around us.
‘’ That was close.’’ Octavia said letting out a deep breath.
‘’ Really close.’’ I added.
‘’ Bellamy asked me if I helped in the grounder’s escaping I said no, of course. Did he ask you too?’’ He asked me.
‘’Yes he did. I told him no too.’’
“Jasmine, it’s time.’’ Bellamy yelled from outside the communications tent.
‘’ I gotta go’’ I said before setting off running.
When I entered, I saw Bellamy already sitting down with a headset on his head and Jaha on the screen. I sat down quickly and I put the other pair of headset.
‘’ Mr. Blake, I've wanted to talk to you for some time now.’’ Jaha said and I felt Bellamy become stiff. I took his hand on my own and I felt him relax a little bit.
‘’ Before you do, I'd like to say something. When you sent us down here, you sent us to die, but miraculously, most of us are still alive. In large part, that is because of him, because of Bellamy. He's one of us, and he deserves to be pardoned of his crimes just like the rest of us.’’ I informed the Jaha with a smile.
‘’ I appreciate your point of view, but it's not that simple.’’ Jaha said with crossed arms.
‘’It is if you want to know who on The Ark wants you dead.’’ Bellamy chimed in. Good job Blake!
‘’ Bellamy Blake, you're pardoned for your crimes. Now, tell me who gave you the gun.’’ Yessss! That means Bellamy will not be killed when the ark comes down.

<- Previous part (12)
{Justice League - DC Masterlist}
×
Freedom
“Bruce! I'm back!” You yell as you push the door closed with your back, carrying the two bags from the supermarket. Alfred is driving the car to the garage. Today was the fourth time you went out all by yourself. Alfred has to drive since you still can't take your license, but you feel like you're doing well. He stays in the car while you buy the stuff you want, and it's actually good to be out there, with the people. “I met this sweet lady on the line and she was so cute. She told me about her grandson who's starting in the kinder garden this year.” You follow the sound of his voice coming from the living room, leaving the bags on the table at the main hall and making your way there. “She–”
The words get stuck on your throat when you see he's not alone. Amanda Waller and the other five people responsible for Belle Reve are here. You're frozen, busted because you don't know if they should know about all the freedom you're having. You look at Bruce, searching for any signs of what to do. His expression is calm, light, and he reaches out his hand. “Come here, sweetheart.” He says, and you take a few seconds to find your legs, making your way over him, taking his hand, noticing how yours are shaking.
“Is everything alright?” You whisper to him.
“I see Havoc is already allowed out. And apparently without your supervision.” One of the men speaks, his angry eyes on you. This one wants you back in your cell, being beaten up.
“She is. (Y/N) is adapting wonderfully well.” Bruce says. “This is not the first time she goes out without me, and there hasn't been any kind of incident.”
“I couldn't help but notice you engaged in a romantic relationship with her,” Amanda states, reading something on her tablet. “The rest of the world didn't recognize her, but we did. You've been seen with her in... Three different galas.”
“I'm well aware of the contract we both signed, Amanda. I made it. And a romantic relationship wasn't mentioned, which means it wasn't forbidden.” You hold tight on his arm as he speaks. “And yes, I've been to some parties with her, I believe you saw us on the news.”
“I don't need you to tell me about the contract, Bruce. I read it. And honestly, I couldn't care less about who you want to put in your bed.” She mumbles, typing something down. “Let's make it quick, Bruce. We're here for a reason, but Havoc isn't the only criminal we have to deal with.”
“Her name is (Y/N). And soon enough you won't have to deal with her anymore.” Bruce turns to you, placing a kiss on your lips. “I need you to wait upstairs, my love. You can't be present while we discuss this.”
Nodding, you give them one last look before walking away.
But you can't go to your room. You're too scared now. What if you lose what you have here? Your life with Bruce... If you're thrown back in Belle Reve... You can't handle it anymore, you'll die. Inside first, until your body gives up. So you move downstairs, a few steps so the wall is hiding you, sitting down and paying attention, trying to bring sense to their words.
“Mr. Wayne, eight months ago you took in one of Belle Reve's intern, (Y/N) Quinzel, also known as Havoc, to test a project of your creation. In which you tried to rehabilitate her, so that she could have a life out of her criminal actions, being able to be fully reintroduced into life in society.” The man speaks slow, and by the looks of it, they must be recording it. “Do you believe your project succeded?”
“Yes.” Bruce answers.
“Do you believe (Y/N) could be released to live among other people without causing any kind of harm, stealing, killing, torturing, or any other dangerous behavior?”
“Yes.”
“Are you aware that the condition for her release is you being completely responsible for her actions from now on?”
“Yes, I am.”
“It will be like a damn marriage, Wayne.” Someone says, and your heart stops. “Anything she does, she steals a freaking pencil, you'll have to answer for it. You'll be bound for life.”
“Good,” Bruce mumbles, and you hear some laughs.
“For goodness sake, Wayne. I get that you want to have fun with her. The girl is insane but pretty, I'm not blind. But–”
“I'm not having fun with her. And you will watch your tongue before talking about (Y/N) again.” A smile comes to your lips, and you cover your mouth with a hand. Every passing day you're more and more sure that Bruce is going serious with you. That he has a goal with your relationship, but it still warms your heart when he says something like that.
“Whatever you want, Bruce Wayne,” Amanda mutters. “I will need you to sign here. And your fingerprints.”
A silence falls, and everything you hear is your heartbeat. Bruce told you he was starting the last procedures to set you free once and for all, but you didn't think it would happen so fast. Guess he did had everything under control after all.
Your mind suddenly floats back to when you first got here, when you tried to run, when you attacked him so brutally. Back then, on the first days, you never thought you'd fall for him. And it took a while for you to even allow yourself to. Bruce, being Batman, the hero, could never have feelings for you. And it's true that the signs where there, when he touched you, or when he went to your room to dance with you, leaving the party behind... But you were so scared back then... That you'd have your heart broken for the very first time.
But it had a happy ending. An ending you know you don't deserve. You want to be with Bruce, you want the life you have now, to go to college next month, study and become a nurse. Find a job and... The rest you don't know. But you know it'll be good.
“Go get the girl. I need her fingerprints too.” Amanda speaks up.
You hear his footsteps as they grow closer. You stand up when you see him on the bottom of the stairs, waiting until he reaches you.
“Did you hear it?”
You nod, letting yourself fall into his embrace when he opens his arms. “I don't want to see any of them ever again.”
“You won't, I promise.”
“Bruce... A-are you sure you'll sign that thing? I heard what they said.”
“Hey...” He pulls away, just enough to look into your eyes. “I already signed and I don't regret it. This is the last step, (Y/N), don't let them get to your head.”
“Okay,” you mumble, tiptoeing to kiss him.
Bruce guides you back to the living room, and you try to keep your head up, fearless.
“Havoc. Put both your hands here.” Amanda says, her voice filled with anger and disgust. She doesn't want to release you, but she has no choice. Nodding, you place both hands on her tablet. You watch as the screen reads all your ten fingerprints, and your picture appears on the top. Then, a green X covers it, blinking, and then everything is gone. And now, with your hand still on it, the screen shows up a few dots, and the word ‘searching’. “It's done, Havoc. But don't you ever come back under my jurisdiction again... I won't give you any other chance. Even if another Kryptonian comes from the sky demanding for it.”
“(Y/N).” you simply say, stepping back until you're by Bruce's side.
“Of course.” She mutters. “Well, I believe this is it. Mr. Wayne, I believe we're done here.”
“You may now kiss the bride, Wayne.” A man says, and two others laugh with him. You sink a little, stepping back, letting Bruce's shoulder hide you.
“You won't get an invitation Mr. Rochford, but I'm sure you'll know about it on the news,” Bruce says and the men immediately shut up. “I must ask you to leave now. Our business is over. For good.”
“I wish you luck, Mr. Wayne.” Amanda Waller reaches out her hand and Bruce shakes it.
You stand there, watching them leave. It's ridiculous, but you feel like your chains are falling off. All the terror, the infinite days and neverending nights in that hell are over. You still don't like thinking about it, and remembering is painful, but you're glad that's what it is now: a memory. A distant, faded memory. Some scars will accompany you for the rest of your life, even though Bruce has you under some esthetic treatments to get rid of most of them. But you're ok with that, with the ones that will stick around. They'll be a different kind of badge now, a prove that you crawled out of that nightmare, and despite needing a little push, you did some of the work too.
“Why are you crying, my love?” Bruce asks when he comes back, but you haven't noticed the tears rolling down.
“It's nothing, I just... I'm happy. Truly, wholeheartedly happy, I...” He pulls you into his arms, holding you tight. “I love you so damn much, Bruce, but... I guess I love me too. Who I am now, who I want to become.”
“Whatever happens now, (Y/N), it's up to us. To you. You can make your own decisions, and I'll be here to support you.”
“I know, babe.” Pulling away, you jump up, wrapping your legs around his waist. “Life starts now, and... I want you in it.”
“Me too, sweetheart. That's why I had no trouble sighing that contract.” His eyes get darker, and you furrow your eyebrows.
“What is it, Bruce?” He's dead serious, bouncing you up to have a better grip.
“Marry me.”
Your heart stops, as the answer slides down your tongue. Enough with the nightmares. This life is way better than any dream you couldbever have.

Steve’s life can’t get any weirder.
By now, he’s used to it. Between demogorgons and a super powered girl and an evil dimension, Steve has resigned himself to the fact that weird, bizarre things need to happen somewhere in the world, and, apparently, his neighborhood is the chosen spot.
So, as soon as he woke up in the morning and saw the sky pitch black at fucking seven a.m., he knew.
He was already late for his shift at Scoops Ahoy, but he didn’t even bother putting on his uniform. Instead, he picked up his nailbat (he wouldn’t admit it, but he kind of needs it around to sleep these days), went to his car and drove straight to the Henderson’s. He knew he’d find Dustin sneaking out on his bike, and he stopped and honked hard enough to wake up the entire neighborhood to call his attention.
To his credit, Dustin immediately ran towards him, forgetting his bike in the front yard and yanking on the door of Steve’s car as if it wasn’t already obviously unlocked. When Steve opened it for him, with a hurried “Get in, man”, he just rolled his eyes, getting inside, and bent his legs while Steve pushed back the seat a little for him (the dipshit had been growing like crazy those past months – soon he’d be Steve’s height, and when the hell had that happened?).
Steve, like an idiot, asked him what was going on. Which was a stupid fucking question, because none of them fully knew what was going on, ever, but Dustin always had his theories. He quickly started on a ramble about portals opening and something related to a vortex while Steve broke all speed laws on their way to the Wheeler’s.
They were already seeing the house at the end of street when the sky opened.
Steve can’t fully describe what happened. He remembers Dustin seeing something through the window and frantically grabbing his arm; remembers saying What the hell, man, I’m driving!; remembers the bizarre sensation of his car stopping and being pulled up by a force he couldn’t see; and then everything going dark.
He blinks his eyes open with difficulty, coughing as he starts to come to his senses . He vaguely registers car noises and lights coming from the window, but he can’t deal with it right now.
Instead, he focuses on figuring out his position. He’s laying down on the car seat, part of his body hanging outside. Whatever it was, the door didn’t make through it.
His first thought is, shit, and his second thought is, shit, Dustin! So, nothing very original, really.
He moves his hand around, searching for some sign of Dustin, way before his vision starts focusing again.
“Dustin?” is his first groan, rough as if he’s slept for a week. “Where are you?”
“Right here,” Dustin’s voice comes from the back seat. Steve’s hand reaches out, not finding the front seat where it should be. Shit, the car is wrecked. His dad is gonna kill him.
Dustin’s hand reaches over and grabs his shoulder. Steve holds onto his arm because it’s a little calming. Ok, ok, so Dustin is in one piece. Now onto the next step.
“Where’s my bat?”
He hears a sound of Dustin fumbling with something metallic in the back seat. He opens his mouth to tell him to stop, because he’s gonna hurt himself, but then he feels the familiar, comforting feel of the wooden bat in his hand.
“There,” Dustin says, curling Steve's fingers around the handle . His voice is a little uncertain. “Uh, it kinda—It kinda broke a little.” The bat is almost completely broken in half, the top half barely hanging on by a fine shred of wood.
Steve shuts his eyes and sighs. Of course. Of fucking course.
He still tightens his hand around it. Half a weapon still beats no weapon at all.
“Where are we?” he finally asks, his vision focused enough to look outside, sitting up and stepping out.
He knows what he expects to see – the dark, disgusting tunnels are impossible to forget—so it’s a shock when blinding sunlight reaches his eyes, along with so much noise. It’s so colorful and bright and wait, it can’t be—
“I think we’re in New York.”
Dustin doesn’t sound nearly as shocked by this development as he should be.
“We’re in— What? ” Steve stammers, turning his head around. There are so many cars, and so many buildings, but what catches his eyes are the billboards, huge and colorful and – what the actual fuck – moving. He blinks, finally focusing on the noise, which is a bunch of honks and screams and something that sounds like a dozen of roaring trucks.
“There.” Dustin jumps out of the car and next to him, pointing to something in the distance, and Steve looks, and, okay, there she is, Lady Liberty herself. Dustin also looks around. “I think we’re in the middle of a street.”
“What?” Steve repeats, his head pounding, because while, yeah, he guess Dustin has a point, what with the tons of cars around them, but—but that’s a fucking huge street, and what the hell is up with those billboards, and, and—Is that music? There’s something playing in the distance that definitely sounds like music, but it doesn’t seem like anything Steve recognizes. “How—“
“Oh, boy,” a voice says behind him.
Steve turns around immediately, raising his broken bat in front of him like a sword. His arm reaches back to pull Dustin behind him in instinct, and, holy shit.
It’s a robot.
A, a fucking robot, red and gold and floating, right there in front of Steve, apparently in the middle of New York.
“What the fuck,” Steve hisses, to no one in particular. He’s just barely gotten used to all the Stephen King shit going on where he lives, and now he’s apparently thrown in the Terminator. What even is his life.
The robot doesn’t seem to care, raising his hand and waving as a greeting. “Hey. No offense, but that’s not gonna really give you much leverage against me.” He gestures towards Steve’s  half-bat, and Steve flinches, putting a second hand on the goddamn thing and tightening his fingers around the handle on reflex. “Hey, no, don’t worry—I meant it in a purely hypothetical level, you’re not gonna need to…”
“Stand back,” Steve says, and his voice shakes more than he’d like to. He takes a few steps back, still shielding Dustin, who, for once, doesn’t protest it. “Who are you?”
Behind him, Dustin asks the way more pressing question: “Where are we?”
The robot tilts its head at them. It looks like it’s thinking. “Hm, well, that’s a good question, you see, you actually got it right—this is New York, but, uh, how do I put it? Hm, let’s just say maybe the best question is – when are you?”
“What?” Steve says.
“When are we?” Dustin immediately says, and something in his voice tells Steve he’s dying to step forward and touch the goddamn robot. Jesus.
“Yeah, exactly. You’re a little—out of your time, I think, though I’m not sure how much. Uh.” The robot spreads its arms. “Welcome to 2018.”
Steve blinks.
“We’re—What? What?”
“Ok, Cap, gonna really need you here in a moment,” the robot says, apparently not to them, though Steve doesn’t know who else he’d be talking to. “Well, you see, time, it’s—it’s like a straight line.”
“A what?”
“You know, like, a straight line? Yeah, ideally, it’s—it’s like that, but then, uh, someone dropped a bunch of ink all over it, and the line got stained. And some parts of the line, they got a little wobbly, a little unstable, and, and then, well, you dropped out of the sky.”
Steve’s mouth gapes open, but no sound comes of it.
“Time travel,” Dustin says suddenly, and the robot nods enthusiastically. “Because of, uh, something wrong with the fabric of the universe?”
“Yes, exactly – very good, kid; and we’re trying to fix it, but we still don’t know if—Oh, thank God,” the robot says, looking at something behind them. “Here, I think someone else is gonna be able to walk you through it.”
Steve turns around.
And stops.
“Holy shit,” he says. He’s pretty sure Dustin, behind him, echoes the feeling.
“Language,” the robot says.
Right in front of Steve stands a guy he’s only seen in comic books, movies and old photographs. A guy that he knows mostly from his grandpa’s war stories, and that, oh yeah, happens to be the reason both Steve and his father have this name.
“Hi,” Captain America says, in a different uniform Steve remembers from the pictures, but still with the exact same stern face Steve saw in a poster on his father’s childhood bedroom wall. He extends his hand. “I’m Steve.”
“Hi,” Dustin says, taking a step forward and shaking his hand. He points back with his thumb. “He’s also Steve.”
Captain America smiles and turns towards him. “Oh. Nice to meet you, Steve.”
Dustin grins, clearly amused by Steve’s shock, so Steve forces himself to get out of his trance. He takes a step forward and shakes Captain America’s hand.
It’s kind of awesome.
“Don’t worry,” Captain America says, blue eyes serious and sincere staring at him. “We’re already working on a way to send you back. Everything will be all right.”
Then, behind him, there’s a loud noise, way too similar to an explosion for Steve’s liking. The robot swears, flying away. Captain America rubs the back of his neck.
“We’re, uh. We’re kind of dealing with something at the moment. The… the things that might have caused what brought you here, in fact.”
From his expression, Steve guessed those were some dangerous things.
“What things? Like monsters?” Dustin asks, voice slightly scared. Then, clearly, composing himself, he straightens his posture. “We know everything about fighting monsters.”
Captain America tilts his head, almost as if he’s confused by how sincere Dustin seems. He looks at Steve’s face in search of confirmation.
Steve shrugs and nods.
Life, apparently, can still get a hell of a lot weirder.
(And that’s even before Steve meets the talking tree.)
