Finished the triceratops cowl last week. Soaking it now for the much needed blocking. In the fall, I’ll send it to SVP (Society of Vertebrate Paleontology) for their annual benefits auction. Hopefully someone attending can let me know how much it sells for.

Rewatched day of the diesels multiple times this week and the amount of time diesel ten spends on the turn table is so amusing to me. Had to make this video of him just being a goober.

Finished the crochet brioche pillow. Made with Big Twist Classic Solids bulky weight yarn and a H hook. It’s about 17” square and needed a 19” pillow form.

About brioche crochet:

It's designed to look like knitted brioche. It is constructed using mostly front post stitches, usually front post double or treble stitches. The two colors alternate rounds. The main color (blue or teal in my pillow) is only ever stitched into the main color from the round below. The contrast color (silver) is only ever stitched into the contrast color from the round below.

Aspec men deserve much more respect and recognition in the aspec community than they receive. They often face a different form of aphobia specific to them ("men are naturally sexual they can't be ace" "all men are unromantic that's not unique") this rhetoric is spouted by many, even members of our own community and I hope for a day where that is no longer the case. As an ace and demiro woman (demigirl but that's beside the point) I want to encourage folks to take the time to give the aspec men in their lives support and to the aspec men reading, you are who you say you are no matter what people say and you deserve the world. I'm sorry for the ways in which toxic masculinity has harmed you. You are a valued member of the aspec community and the queer community as a whole. No ace or aro person is broken and neither are you. I'm sorry if anyone has ever told you otherwise.
