friday//nov 18// lisbon
one of those days i didn’t feel like getting out of bed. but pushed myself and made the most of the day:
•soaked in some sun
•did laundry
•cleaning
•grocery shopping
•cooking (honey garlic salmon with rice)
•wrote an essay for social psychology
super exhausted but super satisfied with how the day went. tomorrow we get up and seize the day again.
carpe diem.

thursday//nov 3//lisbon
rain+ spontaneous coffee date with a classmate and a 6-hour study sprint.
initially i was feeling guilty about chilling out with my classmate over coffee when i was supposed to be home studying for my upcoming exam.
but then i allowed myself to enjoy the moment to the fullest. when i went home, i studied with full focus (i think it was the caffeine or maybe the positive energy i felt after having an amazing conversation session with my mate). anyway, i think i overcompensated by studying for 6 hours straight lol.
some days, not going by your calendar is the best thing you can do.

saturday//nov 5//lisbon
spent the day exploring lisbon’s famous Sintra which is known for its palaces, mansions, natural beauty and 19th century European Romantic architecture.
apart from the fact that everything in this place is ridiculously overpriced (€14 entrance ticket to the palace?!) and that there’s a lot of walking uphill, Sintra is vibrant, charming and a landscape straight out of a classical 19th century novel and the public transport is really well-connected.
i reached pretty late (around 12pm) so I couldn’t visit all the places on my list including a moorish castle (Castelo dos Mouros) and Cabo da Roca, a cape that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. if you’re planning to go there, i would recommend starting your trip 9am in the morning and spending the entire day there. also consider energy drinks or coffee since the walking can be quite tiresome!
Places I visited:
•Palacio Nacional da Pena
• National Palace of Sintra
yep, just two places took six hours.
