Liquid Courage
Wonwoo x Classmate!Reader
Requested? Yes!
Genre: fluff, angst if you squint, college au, unrequited love and perhaps a painful amount of pining
Word count: 4.8k
Warnings: mentions of alcohol consumption and being drunk
Jeon Wonwoo would like to think he’s a normal college student. He’s picked a major that he can tolerate. He goes to class, bleary eyed after all-nighters working on assignments, chugging a seemingly endless stream of coffee. He joins a few clubs to avoid his family’s nagging that he’ll rot in front of the computer playing video games in his free time, though he does enjoy the rot time. He goes out with his roommate and friends regularly for dinner and drinks and parties. But he has a secret, and it’s the totally not normal, totally suffocating, totally obsessive, massive, enormous crush on you, one of his classmates.
He hit him like a truck the moment he met you in the first day of freshman year, or rather the first day he saw you. He’d like to think he’s not shallow and doesn’t get hung up on looks. A pretty appearance doesn’t always equate to a pretty personality, after all. But he was totally enamored by how pretty you were on the first day to the point that he didn’t hear much of anything the calculus instructor said. He beats his head against his desk in his dorm later that day as he looks at the syllabus. He’s got to get it together because that’s not why he’s here.
He thinks he’s starting to get a handle on this (not so) little crush when he remembers that the class he shares with you is a General Education class and it’s very likely that you’ll pick a different major than him. His first day of sophomore year, he realizes he was wrong because there you are, sitting in the front row of his Intro to Database Systems class, unmistakably as a student of the engineering department. It’s in this class that he realizes how screwed he really is.
The first time you meet him in the library for a peer programming project, his heart stops beating when you greet him with a wide smile. He had the same reaction when you were assigned to work together the day before and traded numbers. He gives a small smile, because it’s all he can really manage without giving everything away and gets to work. Later that night, he beats his head against this desk again in his dorm room, because you’re so, so smart on top of everything else. Don’t get me wrong, he didn’t think you were dumb by any means, far from it. But he wasn’t prepared to be corrected gently about a complex concept during your meeting earlier that day and he thinks the crush might just consume him.
When his roommate, Mingyu, asks if he’s good, he just excuses it as being a little stressed by the work he has to get done. Never mind that the project with you is no longer on his list because it was done in a single sitting. He picks up another assignment, kind of regretting that he didn’t drag it out a little longer, even if his heart might not be able to take it.
~
It’s the first day of the spring semester in his Sophomore year and he arrives early to his Matrix Algebra course. He didn’t know you’d be in this one with him, but he’s not totally surprised to see you here since you share a major and seem to be on the same track. But he is surprised to see you here, next to him. You greet him with a big smile and ask if the seat next to him is taken. “Oh, no. Go ahead, but don’t you want to sit up front?”
You give him a confused smile as you slide into the seat. “What makes you say that?”
“You always sit in the front row,” he says simply, before realizing how it sounds. It sounds an awful lot like he pays a lot of attention to you.
You don’t acknowledge his words or the way he flushes a little, but you do chuckle as you pull out your laptop. “Oh, yeah. I was way overdue for an optometrist appointment, so I couldn’t really see the board or screen. Just got a new prescription and new contacts last week, so I can sit back here with you!”
“Oh,” he says lamely. “Okay, then.”
You glance at him out of the corner of your eye, face suddenly a little cautious. “That is, unless you’d like me to sit somewhere else?”
“No! I mean,” Wonwoo clears his throat awkwardly. “I mean, you can sit here. I don’t mind.”
You smile, though there’s still a tinge of caution to it. “Thanks, Wonwoo.” He can’t really respond because the instructor is sweeping into the room and getting started right away. He’s not quite sure what he’d say anyway.
~
He’s absolutely beside himself the whole semester. Not only do you keep sitting next to him, but you seem to go out of your way to talk to him. It’s mostly about classes, but it’s still the highlight of his day, three times a week. He’s embarrassingly excited to go to his 8am class with you and it’s starting to get the attention of his roommate.
Mingyu peers over his comforter as Wonwoo gets ready for class. He watches his roommate get dressed in more than sweats and a hoodie and fix his hair. The final straw is when he puts on cologne. “What class do you have again?”
“Matrix Algebra," Wonwoo says simply.
“Uh huh. And you need cologne for that?”
“I wear cologne everyday. What’s the big deal?” Wonwoo asks, though he doesn't sound like he cares about what the big deal actually is.
“You don’t. I’ve lived with you for a while. This is the first semester you’ve hopped out of bed for an 8am, and you’ve been doing it early every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday, you have a 10am that you roll out of bed for and go to in sweats. Without cologne.” Mingyu adopts a smug expression. “So who is she?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Mingyu,” Wonwoo says evenly. “I gotta go. I’m going to be late. Don’t wait up, I have a project to work on tonight.”
Mingyu glances at the clock when the dorm room door closes behind his roommate. It’s not even 7:40am yet and it's a five minute walk to class. Interesting.
~
Wonwoo feels like he's getting somewhere. It sounds silly, but he’s kind of getting his hopes up that this little crush isn’t totally unrequited. You always choose him for your partner in class and he enjoys meeting you to work on these projects together. You’ve even started branching out, talking about things other than the shared classes you both have. It’s late and you’re in the library with him, talking about a new book series you’re reading and he doesn’t think he could like you anymore than he does now. He’s asking what you like about it without spoilers when a guy approaches you, putting his hand on your back. You beam up at him and Wonwoo’s heart kind of plummets.
“Hi baby, I was wondering where you got off to. I stopped by your dorm but you weren’t there,” the guy says.
“Oh, I should have told you I had a project to work on,” you say apologetically. “You weren’t worried about me, were you?”
“No, never,” the guy says lightly, glancing to Wonwoo.
You perk up. “Oh, this is Wonwoo. He’s my partner for one of my major courses. Wonwoo, this is my boyfriend, Minghao.”
Wonwoo does his best to be polite, but he’s feeling some type of way about hearing the word ‘boyfriend' come out of your mouth. He didn’t know you were dating anyone, not that it's a crazy thought. He doesn’t see you a lot around campus outside of class because you run in different circles socially.
Minghao is friendly, making it difficult to hate him. “Oh, good. Maybe you both can help me me with my math homework. I’m an arts major, I’m not cut out for these gen ed courses. Can I join?”
He considers leaving but it feels rude, so he stays, even helping Minghao here and there. It occurs to him that he’s torturing himself by staying. You and Minghao seem like a good match, the epitome of opposites attract really. You’re an engineering major and he’s an arts major. You’re bubbly and outgoing, and he’s a little shy and reserved. But you both are smart and well-read and have a gentle approach to social interactions. Not to mention you both look totally love sick for each other. It makes Wonwoo love sick in a totally different way.
He trudges back to his dorm late, going straight to bed. He skips class the next day, sending you a short text that he doesn’t feel well. He doesn’t respond when you send him a message back, hoping that he feels better and that you’ll send him your notes.
~
It’s the middle of the fall semester, Junior year, and you and Wonwoo are knee deep in major courses now, most of which you share with each other. Whatever hopes he might have had last semester to avoid you seem totally unreasonable, and he's resigned himself to the unrequited aspect of his friendship with you. And it really does seem like a friendship now. He sees you a lot more now, mostly because you spend hours together every single weekday, both in and between classes. So, he notices something is off when you show up late to your shared Networking class, sneaking in with an apologetic bow to the instructor.
“Are you okay?” He whispers automatically, concerned. You give him a passing glance, nodding, but he spots it for the lie that it is, because your eyes are red and you’re wearing your glasses today, instead of contacts. His first thought is allergies, but he’s known you for a while and you’ve never seemed to suffer from it much before. He watches you set your phone on Do Not Disturb, but not before he spots dozens of unread messages and calls.
He lets you be for the duration of the class and leads you to the cafe on campus as usual afterwards. It’s a habit this semester because neither of you usually have time to get coffee before your shared 8am. He gestures for you to have a seat while he orders. Another little habit, you both take turns paying on these little trips. When he places your order in front of you, he simply asks if you want to talk about it.
He does not expect you to tear up and panic bubbles inside of him fast. “I’m sorry, I’m being a cry baby about it. It’s not that serious.”
“Unlikely. What’s not that serious?”
You sigh. “Minghao and I have been fighting a lot lately.”
“About what?” Wonwoo asks, though it feels like a gut punch to even talk about him. He usually tries to forget he exists. You stare at him and he purses his lips. “We’re friends, right?” You nod automatically and he ignores the way your lack of hesitation simultaneously elates and stings him. “Then tell me about it. At least venting might help, even if I can’t help you fix it.”
You don’t look at him for a while and finally say, “He’s got a bit of a jealous streak. I feel like he doesn’t trust me. We fought last night and it was bad.”
“I’m sorry,” he says genuinely “I’m sure you haven’t given him any reason not to trust you. Maybe he’s just insecure.” Wonwoo says ‘maybe’ but he’s positive that’s the case. He might be too if he was in Minghao’s shoes, but he’d never make it your problem. He waves away the thought because he’s not likely to ever be in Minghao’s shoes.
“Maybe… Maybe I should just end it,” you say. He’s conflicted, because there’s screaming in his head about the idea of you being single, yet you sound so upset about it.
So he says, “If you feel like that’s the right thing to do. I’m here if you need me.” He lets you go about the day, acting a little bit like a zombie. He guides you between classes, shares his notes with you as usual, and guides you to your dorm building when classes are over.
~
He certainly does not expect you to actually reach out to him later that night. You call at nearly 10pm and both Wonwoo and Mingyu jump at the sound. Wonwoo’s already pulling on a jacket and shoes when he hears you sniffle, asking if he’s up for a walk. He ignores Mingyu’s raised eyebrow on the way out.
You’re sitting on a bench outside of his dorm building when he comes outside. “You good?” He asks, even though he kind of knows the answer already.
“Yeah, just needed some air. You weren’t busy, were you?” You ask, standing up. Your nose is bright red and he wonders if it’s from crying or the cold, or both.
“No, just lying around.” He follows your lead, though he can tell you’re walking aimlessly. “Want to talk about it?” You shake your head and he lets you be. He doesn’t hear anything about Minghao after that.
~
It’s senior year and there are only a few things that have changed. The first is that neither of you live in the dorms anymore. Wonwoo and Mingyu got an apartment just off campus, and when Wonwoo mentioned that there were other units open in the building, you jumped at the opportunity, citing how totally over communal spaces you were. You move in with one of your friends down the hall. He likes Jeonghan. He seems like a good friend to you, which is the most important thing, really. But selfishly, he likes Jeonghan because the two of you resemble siblings more than anything else and he’s comforted by the seemingly platonic nature of your relationship.
The second change is that because of this new proximity and lack of rules around guests, you both are in and out of each other’s apartments constantly. Those late nights at the library are replaced by late nights at each other’s kitchen table with laptops and textbooks spread across it. There are also movie nights and video game nights and reading nights and really everything in between.
The third change is precisely because of this new proximity. His friends are absolutely onto his little secret. Mingyu smirks and raises an eyebrow every time Wonwoo bails on plans and says he’s busy. “Busy with who?” Mingyu will ask tauntingly. Wonwoo does his best to brush this off, but his friends see right through it, like they do tonight.
You’re sitting across from him at the kitchen table, working on an assignment together, when a lot of noise at his front door makes him groan. You look at him questioningly, and that look only grows when he says he’s sorry for what’s about to happen. He’s done everything he can to avoid this moment, but it seems he can’t escape it anymore. Mingyu’s met you because you’re here all the time, but the others haven’t and they’re about to.
Mingyu barrels into the room with Seungcheol and Vernon on his heels. “Oh, sorry, I didn’t know you guys were working on anything.” Mingyu’s apology is a total lie because that was the entire reason that Wonwoo bailed on plans with them, but he won’t call him out on it in front of you.
“You must be Y/N, we’ve heard a lot about you,” Seungcheol says, introducing himself and Vernon. You glance questioningly still at Wonwoo, but you’re friendly about greeting them back.
“We’ll be quiet,” Mingyu promises, leading the others to the living room with a smug look. They aren’t quiet in the least, but it doesn’t matter because the project is done within an hour. You pack up your things and leave, telling him you’ll see him tomorrow. He knows he has to face the music at some point, so he decides to get it over with, joining his friends in the living room.
“So, that’s Y/N, huh? She’s cute,” Seungcheol teases.
“Told you. He’s down bad,” Mingyu laughs.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. We’re just friends. We’ve had a lot of classes together over the years,” Wonwoo says evenly.
“Is she not single?” Vernon asks. While Seungcheol and Mingyu are teasing, Vernon doesn’t seem to mean anything by it. Still, Wonwoo would like to pretend that he doesn’t feel the way he does and doesn’t want the questions.
“No, I’m pretty sure she is, but it doesn’t matter. We’re just friends.” Okayyyys and Whatever You Says echo behind him as he excuses himself to bed, because he’s decided he actually isn’t ready for this conversation. He’d like to keep living in denial.
~
If it was even possible, you integrate even more into his life. It turns out that Jeonghan shares classes with Seungcheol, so now those little ventures with his friends include you and your roommate too. Over time, he sees it for what it is. His friends seem to like yours and Jeonghan’s company, sure, but they actually just like to watch him squirm around you.
But he’d never dream of turning down time with you, so he finds himself out at the bar. This one is special because it’s actually half arcade. He’s been eyeing it since he heard that it opened and no one objects to making it the outing on Saturday night. Everyone grabs a drink upon arrival and starts making their way around each machine. He sticks with you most of the night and doesn’t even notice how many coins the two of you have gone through or that your friends have long abandoned this side of the building, opting for the actual bar. They even leave you two after a while to go to another bar down the street.
When Mingyu comes home and finds Wonwoo on the couch, he groans. “What are you doing here? You were supposed to be out with Y/N! We had a whole plan!”
Wonwoo blinks at his roommate. “What do you mean? You guys abandoned us and when we were done with the games we came home.”
“We abandoned you so you could make a move!” Mingyu cries.
Again, Wonwoo blinks. “I won’t be doing that.”
“Why not?!” Mingyu’s cries are getting louder and perhaps a little more like literal cries.
“Because she doesn’t like me like that,” Wonwoo says, but he’s realizes his mistake as soon as it’s out. Mingyu’s already smirking, wails forgotten.
“Oh? But you do?”
“Good night, Mingyu,” Wonwoo dismisses, standing up.
“Don’t worry, we’ll work on it for you,” his roommate promises and it sounds vaguely like a threat.
“We?” Wonwoo asked, then he remembers how your shared friends abandoned both of you earlier tonight. “You know what, never mind. I don’t want to know. Good night, Mingyu,” He says, meaning it this time.
~
It’s Valentine’s Day, but Wonwoo treats it as business as usual. He has classes that are kicking his ass this semester, namely his senior design project, and he hardly thinks about the significance of the day and how he’s painfully single with an unrequited crush. You’ve been swamped too for the same reasons and you agree to meet him at his apartment for dinner and to work on your projects together.
It’s late when you leave and he packs up his things after seeing you out. When he goes to his room to settle in for bed, he’s surprised to see a little heart-shaped box on his desk. There’s a little card with his name in your hand writing on it and it makes him stall out. First of all, how did you sneak this in here? Yes, you use his ensuite bathroom while you’re here, but he didn’t even see you sneak anything out of your bag. Secondly, why did you get him anything?
Heart racing a little, he opens the card. It’s simple and actually gives no indication of why you did this - just a simple Happy Valentine’s Day, accompanied by a little image of a cat and your name written underneath it. Inside the box is a small selection of chocolates. He feels lame when he sends you a message thanking you for the chocolates, and even lamer when you simply send back, ‘You’re welcome!’ He doesn’t know how to interpret the meaning of this gesture and is sort of afraid to ask, so he leaves it alone.
~
It’s his friends that plant the seed. “It’s almost White Day,” Seungcheol says over lunch. He has a feeling that it’s directed at him, but he stays silent. This is their not-so-subtle way of telling him to do something about your little Valentine’s Day gift last month. He didn’t mention it to any of them, but he probably doesn’t have to because they probably already know since they keep conspiring to get him to make a move. Wonwoo’s caught Jeonghan in on it occasionally too, which might be how they know about your little gift.
“I didn’t get anything this year,” Vernon says, though he doesn’t sound too put out by it. “Did you guys?”
Seungcheol and Mingyu both shake their head. “What about you, Wonwoo? Did you get anything?” Mingyu asks slyly.
Wonwoo raises an eyebrow, chewing his food. “I did,” he admits shortly.
“Oh? And are you going to return the gift?” Vernon asks, sounding hopefully.
“Maybe.” Another short answer.
“I think you should. I think she’d like it,” Seungcheol says, sounding just as hopeful as Vernon. Wonwoo doesn't ask who ‘she’ is, because it feels a little too much like admitting how he feels. So he just shrugs.
~
White Day is on a Friday. Wonwoo goes through the day per usual, attending classes and hanging out with you in between. You seem to be in a good mood today, which isn’t unusual, but you’re a little twitchy. He gives you a look as you wiggle in your seat for the thousandth time since sitting down at the cafe in the afternoon. “You good?”
“Yeah,” you excuse. “Maybe a little too much caffeine today.”
He doesn’t call you out what he thinks might be a lie because as far as he knows you’ve only had two cups today, one this morning and the one you’re drinking now. “Maybe you should cut back,” he teases.
You give him an entertained look. “You first, then we’ll talk.”
That night, he finds himself at a single’s mixer with you and your shared friends. One of Seungcheol’s frat friends extended the invitation and he didn’t have a good reason to turn it down. He loses you in the crowd quickly and wishes he hadn’t. He knows the whole point of this thing is to find someone to date or hook up with, but he has such little interest in the idea that he does his best to dodge any woman that approaches him.
He finds you at the kitchen counter, total chaos around you, but you look totally dejected and unaware of it. He pats your back, getting your attention. That’s when he realizes that you aren’t just dejected, but you’re drunk. “Doing okay?”
You nod, eyes a little unfocused. “Are you having fun?”
He shrugs. “Not particularly. Do you want to dip?” You nod and he realizes just how far gone you are when you stand up, wobbling from side to side. He steadies you, leading you out of the house. “Okay to walk?” You nod again, clinging to his side drunkenly as you two begin walking back. “You don’t normally drink this much, do you?” He asks carefully.
“No,” you admit. “Just felt like it tonight.”
“Okay,” he soothes. “Let’s get you to bed. You look like you’ll pass out anytime.” You don’t fight him when he leads you into his apartment instead. He knows your apartment is right down the hall, but he doesn’t like the idea of leaving you unattended when you’re like this. He hands you some clothes to change into and excuses himself. When he comes back with some water and medicine, you’re tugging the t-shirt into place. He beats back the thought of seeing you in his clothes because now is just not the time. Or rather never.
“Take this first,” he commands, handing you the medicine and the water. When you’re done, he holds the comforter up for you to slide under.
“Are you staying?” You ask sleepily, setting in immediately.
Wonwoo chuckles. “Well, I live here, so… I’ll be on the couch though, if you need me.”
You glare, though there’s absolutely nothing threatening about it. “No, just stay here.” You clumsily scoot over, peeling the covers back.
He should say no, but he’s totally weak for you and can’t think to say no, so he sighs. “Let me change. I’ll be back.” When he comes back, he thinks you’re asleep. He’s almost dozed off when you speak up again.
“Sorry you have to take care of me. I didn’t mean to overdo it,” you mumble.
“It’s fine. Why did you overdo it though? I wasn’t under the impression that you really liked drinking all that much,” Wonwoo questions. He doesn’t actually expect to get a coherent answer, but it’s worth a try. He didn’t like seeing you so dejected earlier tonight. It reminds him of how you were when things with Minghao ended a couple years ago.
“It’s silly,” you mumble. You really sound like you’re barely hanging on to consciousness and he tries to ignore how cute it is.
“Doubt it. Try me,” he dares.
You huff, eyebrows furrowing. “You didn’t get me anything for White Day.” Wonwoo’s jaw drops, but you’re still rambling sleepily, eyes still closed. “I got you the chocolates for Valentine’s Day to tell you that I like you, but you didn’t get anything for me for White Day, so you must not return my feelings.” You huff again. “It’s okay.”
“I did though,” he blurts. Your eyes shoot open. You don’t look totally present, but you certainly don’t look so tired anymore. “I do.”
“You did? You do?” Your hopeful tone threatens crush him right where he lies.
“Of course… I just wasn’t sure how to give it to you. You’re a lot braver than I am, it seems,” he chuckles, feeling a little embarrassed. He sits up, opening his bedside drawer, pulling out a little heart-shaped box with a little card on top of it. Your eyes light up at the sight and you clumsily sit up.
“You like me back?” You’re doing your best to focus on the conversation and the way you add the word ‘back’ makes his heart beat out of his chest.
“Yeah, for an embarrassingly long time,” Wonwoo admits. You reach for the box and he stops you. “Maybe don’t eat it tonight. I don’t want you to get sick. It’ll be here tomorrow though.” You pout, but agree, letting him sit the box to the side. “Come on, go to sleep. We can talk about this in the morning. If you remember, that is.”
You follow his command, but he’s surprised that you don’t lie back down on your pillow, but rather his chest. He’s sure you can hear his heart race, but he would never dream of pushing you away. “I’ll remember,” you insist stubbornly, but then you’re snoring softly the very next second and Wonwoo’s on cloud nine.
~
Wonwoo wakes up to the sound of crinkling in the morning. He cracks his eyes open, blindly reaching for his glasses. When they’re in place, he scoffs at you. You’re sitting up in bed next to him, picking at the chocolates. “That’s not breakfast, Y/N.”
You grin. “But you got them for me!” You look surprisingly alert, like you didn’t get absolutely wasted the night before.
Wonwoo nods, acquiescent. “I did. So you remember our conversation last night?”
You hum, grinning wider still. “I do. How long is ‘embarrassingly long’ exactly?”
“A while,” Wonwoo says evasively. “Any plans today?” You shake your head. “Go on a date with me?”
“Okay,” you grin. You pick up a chocolate, handing it to him. “One for you, one for me.”
He thinks you’re so cute that he can’t even be mad that your shared breakfast is chocolate. He actually wouldn’t want it any other way.

HII i'm loving your works omg! could i ask you to make a bronya!yuu or silverwolf!yuu? (you can choose just one if you want). take care or yourself and do your work at your time, no need to rush! :D
I decided to do two but sorry if bronya is so short , aww thank you.
𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐅 𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐖𝐎𝐋𝐅!𝐘𝐔𝐔 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐖𝐒𝐓🐺👾
A member of the Stellaron Hunters and a genius hacker. She sees the universe as a massive immersive simulation game and has fun with it. She's mastered the skill known as "aether editing," which can be used to tamper with the data of reality.
Silver wolf!yuu is rarely known in nrc, they prefer to stay behind the scenes only a few students know about their existence.
Rarely appear in public, mostly using their holograms to go to school. It's pretty rare to see them actually outside of the ramshackle dorm.
Has a habit of disappearing and appearing, imagine your standing there and suddenly a hologram or game particles appear and silver wolf!yuu appear beside you.
Every time Crowley manages to piss them off, silver wolf!yuu would choose an area to vandalize at school, and some students manage to learn when you take a photo of it you can get a hidden message from silver wolf!yuu about Crowley.
silver wolf!yuu has a habit of collecting data about students, they have a database about their past, quirks, strength and weakness.
A very famous gamer in twst known to beat unbeatable levels of any game in twst and they use a fake alias. They hear about idia ranting towards Ortho about their game persona and find it funny. And join many game tournaments and win them easily and they gained money for this.
The ignihyde dorm is their second home, the dorm has good wifi for gaming. And manage to get close to idia and Ortho and talk about games with each other.
Their uniform has technology imbued to it. allowing them to access and project holographic screens on command. These are mainly used for quick data checks, sending encrypted messages, or pulling up maps and files in real-time without needing a handheld device.
They possessed a higher advanced technology than anything in twst. Also they use their aether hacking to change the ramshackle to their liking.
In battle, they would dominate due to having a lot hex on their side, they can hack into reality and get in the students file and remove the overblot. Or use it to discover and apply weakness towards the enemy.
They also have a mysterious job, operated as a freelancer, known for taking on jobs that require skill, secrecy, and the ability to circumvent the most complex security systems. Their reputation was built on their expertise in digital infiltration, information gathering, and high-stakes hacking, often working for those willing to pay for their skills without asking too many questions. most of their clients seem to be suspicious or not morally good.
Notorious for being a phone addict always playing their game outside or inside of class and when they were asked a question they immediately answered it correctly.
They also have a talent of engineering zoning out imagining about creating new tech ideas, mods and strategies for games.
𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐅 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐘𝐀!𝐘𝐔𝐔 𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐖𝐒𝐓 ❄️🌬️
Heir apparent to the Supreme Guardian of Belobog. She possesses pride befitting of a princess, but also the determination and integrity of a soldier.
Bronya!yuu is the embodiment of what a leader and an heir should be. Their charisma is able to encourage people and lead them towards the right path.
As well a dignified soldier bronya!yuu may look weak but are by far one of the most efficient in hand to hand combat, able to pin down a student who is bigger than them.
Has a tendency to reminisce about their mother and would just sit there and reminisce about them and grim would always be there to comfort them.
An expert marksman, rook and them once a week have a contest with each other who ever is the better marksman.
They are by far one of vil favorite, they are dignified, elegant and strong like a soldier and a princess should be, they also inspired epel to be more like them he admired them and have lessons with him where they tutor him.
They are patient and calm in the heeds of battle always believing as being one in harmony they could work together and forge a more successful path, as well being the back bone of a battle planning and helping them behind the scenes by shooting at the enemy
Them and Lilia would usually trade military tactics to each other over a cup of tea and also discussing other topics
They usually get burned out and they don't know when to rest, since they always have to keep a princess like dignity many of the first years notice and comfort them during hard times.
Bronya!yuu abilities allow them to enhance their comrade ability extremely towards its potential, as well to summon winter soldiers to help them but it takes a lot of energy.
Have a love and interest in history, usually seen in the library studying about twst long history and enjoy talking about them to their friends.
As well being a top student, always studying and getting good grades without any issue and always be respectful towards people
By far have a good reputation at school for being a capable leader, many students admire their discipline, while others have some sort of a sense of rivalry with them.

Elite Commander Poki redesign and Invader Training Headcanons. (Futher info under cut)
Elite Commander Poki was Almighty Tallest Miyuki's second in command and most trusted advisor- As such she continues to wear the Irken Elite Miyuki Branding even after her death.
Her reassigning following the Initiation of Red and Purple involved the training of worthy soldiers to become Invaders for the upcoming Operation Impending Doom.
Much like Irken Slave Drivers and other Irkens in commanding positions, she wears a suit that makes her appear taller than she really is.
She's a no nonsense drill sergeant type- but below the surface she still hasn't gotten over Miyuki's death and often sees her failing students as a disgrace to her awesome legacy.
Contrary to what you might think, Irken defects are actually quite common.
The Control Brain's Irken Bioengineering Program contains an intentional margin of error- Allowing new or odd genetic properties to emerge and potentially be added into the base database for wide spread implementation.
The term "defect" however is reserved for specimens with genetic irregularities that are seen as problematic to the overall objective of the Empire.
But seeing as how defect Irkens are relatively common, it's no surprise that there were quite a few of them who were trained to be Invaders.
These 4 are proper defects in the sense that their irregularities are not seen as particularly useful.
Zim
•Intense and obessive thought patterns, for lack of a better word, Irken neurodivergency. Brilliant in some respects, but moronic in others.
•Capable of parental love from both ends of the spectrum. Looks up to his leaders much like one would a distant parent, and shows intense affection for his minions.
(This is very odd as most Irkens just see their helpers as tools and affection is looked down upon.)
•Selective hearing and auditory processing problems.
Skoodge
•Capable of romantic love and friendship. He is hated for this and seen as "soft"
•In love with ZIM specifically. He has such terrible taste that it counts as a separate defect.
•On the heavier side. He is seen as ugly for this but it actually makes him much more resilient to physical damage and can go without his Pak for much longer than 10 minutes.
(This is me attempting to justify that time they forgot to draw his Pak for a whole episode lmao)
Grinn
•Warped antennae. This distorts her senses and makes her very irritable to certain noises.
•A natural aversion to taking orders and a frequent questioner of the Empire's System.
•Covered in horrible red blemishes. She has an overactive immune system that manifests in extreme bodily reactions to minor stimuli.
(This is one of the worst defects to have when you drop out of the Invader Program and work in a literal garbage chute)
•Writes poetry
Skutch
•Actually evil. Like. Even by Irken standards.
•Will set things on fire for seemingly no reason.
•Rarely ever speaks and when he does it's incredibly vulgar. The only Irken that says Fuck.
•Has no soul, wants or desires. He only lives for the mild fascination elicited from watching the life drain from a living thing's eyes.
These 4 are seen to have more useful defects- Or in other words, they're "Gifted" Irkens. Okay not Gustavo but because he's tall he managed to not get lumped in with the last 4.
Grenty
•Intense regenerative properties. In fact, she struggles to control it properly and will just randomly grow new limbs.
Her regeneration is so good that she is essentially impervious to damage so long as her Pak remains intact.
•Irregular blood viscosity. Needs to be regulated with a patch.
•Overbite.
Mote
•Likes smooth Jazz
•Oversized antennae- He has insanely good sense of his surroundings and is tormented by having to accidentally hear everyone's horrible secrets he never wanted to know.
•Very frail
Fleep
•Abnormally physically powerful. She could break the arms of every other trainee here.
•Sort of capable of friendship but only the kind shared between High School Prom Queens and their evil lackeys.
•Otherwise very competent and professional.
Gustavo
•I hate Gustavo
•He's really friendly and normal by human standards but an UTTER FREAK by Irken standards.
•Joined the Invader program because he wants something to fall back on when he becomes a freelance advertising consultant.
•Gustavo must die.
•Is tall enough that the bias of the system has prevented him from being killed. (Unfortunately)
ALSO WORTH NOTING-
Zim is responsible for the deaths of most of the people here- The only ones to survive his Operation Impending Doom screw up were Skoodge, Skutch, and Grinn.
(Grinn never became a real Invader, Skoodge is basically immortal, and even Zim knows not to mess with Skutch.)
I imagine that most of the Invaders assigned to Operation Impending Doom 2 were from the generation after Zim and were still in training during the first operation.
Bonus content of Skutch setting fire to the wildlife

hello i'm nico (he/him), 19yr old gay trans guy
second-year college student studying transportation planning/public policy + disability studies
sexy neurodivergent: autism. adhd. anxiety. apd. etc.
I've been using notion for more than 3 years now and it has turned into my main special interest
will be posting about my personal notion, the notion I manage for my neurodiversity school club, general notion stuff, and study stuff (with yapping throughout or whatever else I wanna talk about)
will like/follow from my main blog, @autistic-twink
not going to try hard to make stuff aesthetic. in my own opinion and experience, it's just a waste of time cause I'll get bored of it within the month lmao
terfs, nazis, zionists, bigots, exclusionists, etc. DNI. thanks!
more under the cut about my tags, stuff about my different notions, etc.
tag list:
#nico's notion - when i'm talking about my own personal notion that I use for everything outside of club stuff #nico's club notion - when I'm talking about the notion that I built/manage for the neurodivergent club at my university #nico's spin - when I'm talking about general notion stuff like new features, issues, tutorials, etc. #nico's studying - when I'm talking about my own studying for stuff or studying tips #nico's yapping - stuff that does not fall into the above categories or just because I feel like it #nico's notion reblogs - may reblog cool notion dashboards, tips, tutorials, etc
i will probably make a separate post on my club notion hub, because it is the loml. i started it in spring 2024 and in total estimate that I've spent ~40-45 hours on it (and I still continuously work on it). I do not exaggerate when I say that it is my special interest :)
i've changed my personal notion dashboard soooo many times now as I have gotten more comfortable with notion over the years, and I'm currently in the middle of finding something that works for me, so I'll be posting about that. I've got a few systems down so far (task databases + notion calendar ftw) but still working on it.
if you've read this far- congratulations. gold star (you should follow me, I want other nd mutuals)

Playlist🖤h.j
(Its Han. He’s the angel🤭)
Warnings: cussing, drinking (will update as I write more. pls lmk if I miss anything)
Synopsis: you and Han spend the evening getting to know each other at the bar and discover your shared interest in music.
Chapter 3
Igual que un ángel
——————————-
“So what do you do?” He inquires
Oh so he can know my job but I can’t know his? I hold back my urge to tease home about because it seems like it could be a sore subject for him.
“I’m a graduate student studying library science! I also work part time at my local library as a media specialist in music actually!”
He quickly responds with reverence in his tone.
“I didn’t know you had to go to school for that let alone get a masters degree. You must be genius. What does it mean?”
It’s refreshing to meet anyone, let alone a man, that is taking a genuine interest in me and doesn’t get intimidated by my education.
“I do all the normal librarian stuff with books and community work but I also manage a music database with songs, related information, and music history. The database is actually what I’m writing my thesis on. It’s a massive project so my collaborators and I will be working on it for a long ass time. It’ll be constantly updated as more music is made!” I gush.
“So it’s never done?” He points out and it triggers me to snicker.
“The point isn’t for it to be done, it a living document. The point is to compile music and music information for people to access freely. Right now it’s similar to a group Spotify that everyone in my library system can access, but the information will hopefully eventually be free and accessible to the public!”
“Wow! Actual genius!” He seems impressed by my work. He’s almost bursting at the seams with enthusiasm to share with me his own passion for music. Right before he’s about to get too lost in the excitement about it, a thought seems to bring him back down, and he asks if i have included K-pop in the database. He must be worried we’re over looking his culture.
“Oh so far the we have prioritized songs in English but next in line is Latin music because it’s more relevant to our community. I’m working on now since I have a previous interest in it. The database is definitely bias in its early stage due to humans working on it. We don’t really have anyone into K-pop in our team.” I let confess.
“Is that why you’re in Korea?” He seems a little stoic about it now.
“Oh fuck no. I’m here on vacation! I love traveling and my bachelors degree is in cultural studies!” I don’t want him to think I’m taking advantage of this interaction for work purposes.
“We are also integrating AI because of the sheer volume of information we have to process. So it’s totally possible no actual person will ever work on K-pop beyond being the checks and balances to AI, but it will most certainly be included!”
I’m worried I’ve scared him off with all this geek talk and academic jargon and quickly pivot the conversation.
We spend the rest of the evening absolutely spilling our guts to each other probably due to the lowered inhibitions. We chat about our families and friends, all sorts of favorites from anime to seasons to hobbies. We talk about our youth and our rebelious teenage phases. He jokes that mine hasn’t ended and gestures to my visible piercings and tattoos. He claims he has some as well; they’re just hidden. It’s definitely the alcohol, but I have to fight my mind to maintain concentration on the conversation rather than imagine what art he has hiding under his button down. To rein myself back in, I show him pictures of my sweet baby kitties who I miss so much. We talk about our travels and share photos of our destinations. There are a few guys that keep making appearances in the photos. It’s enough times that that I have to ask about them.
“My brothers” he says almost as if it’s obvious.
“That quite a few brothers” is all I can think to say in response.
“Found family I think is what it’s called”
“Oh I completely understand” I say as I pull up a photo of my best friend since she came to my elementary school.
“We’ve lived as sisters since we were like 10. My mother is a single mom to me and my siblings, my bestie’s family stepped in to fill in the gaps.”
Han seems touched by the sentiment. I’m glad we both cherish the fact that family isn’t just who you share blood with.
Even after we finish the soju and share plates of snacks, we never run out of things to gab about. I finally think to check my phone, and I’m instantly awestruck. It’s half TWO IN THE MORNING! “Han look at the time!” I implore exasperatedly as I point the phone toward him.
“Holy shit” he simply breathes out as his jaw drops. Our surprise turns to amazement and then embarrassment. Han, for a final time, beckons the barkeep and speaks to him in Korean.
“Is he bringing the checks?” I question and Han just nods his head as he sips the last bit of his water. It was so easy to lose track of time while talking to him not to mention the bar is no where near empty. Koreans really don’t fuck around when it comes to night life. When he said shit you realize that was the first time he cussed all night.
“I should have asked way sooner, but did I offend you with my foul language? I noticed you don’t really say bad words.”
“Oh no! I’m just used to avoiding them to remain professional I guess. I like that you can curse freely. It’s refreshing.”
Though it wasn’t technically a compliment, hearing it come from his mouth, I can’t help but take it that way. As we talked the bartender brings the check, just one. Before i can object Han has already paid the tab.
“Can I escort you back?” He requests.
I’m reaching in to my bag to grab my earbuds for the journey,
“I couldn’t ask you to do that! You’ve already been so kind to me, Han. You paid for my tab, thank you so much for that, and made this a fun evening. I’m sure you have work in the morning, I’ll be okay.”
Now he’s the one blushing. He’s trying to play it cool, but he can’t even make eye contact when he says,
“I want to. You didn’t ask, I did.”
How could I ever say no to him?
“Okay but just to the station”
As I go to put the earbuds up he puts his hand over mine. Does he want to hold hands!? Fuck it, I move my hand to go for his but he swiftly grabs one of my earbuds and places it in his ear.
“Maestro” he says in a posh accent and with an airy hand movement gestures to my phone. He wants me to play dj. Why do I feel like this is a test?
“What do you want to hear?” I ask
“What do you have?” He responds and I can’t help but roll my eyes.
“Just name any genre or mood or, fuck it, specific situation, and I potentially have a playlist for it”
“You like rap?” What a silly question.
I tilt my phone screen towards him and begin to type a rap in the search bar of my playlists just so we could see the sheer volume of them I have.
“You want female rap? hype rap? early 2000s rap? Emo rap?”
“What about rock?” He retorts
“You like classic rock? New age? Rock songs that are nostalgic to me? Rock that makes me speed in the car? Punk rock?”
He really thinks he’s stumped you with his next request.
“What about country?” He says with a playful and slightly competitive glance.
“You like old country? Gay cowboy country? country about hating your husband? Country songs so sad they should be banned from Spotify?”
He has turned this into a little game we are both utterly enjoying. Once he’s exhausted all the main genres, we’ve made it to the station. Neither of us are even toying with the idea of him going home anymore as we wait for the train together. He circles back to when I said scenarios and wants to know about those playlists. I show him my playlist for grocery shopping and shower concerts, but also the more obscure ones like walking through the streets of London and night out in Madrid. He stops me when he sees the one I’ve created for this trip.
“oh that one’s not finished yet” I try to steer him away from it, but he’s not taking the bait.
“That’s the one I want.” He states as the train pulls in. He sits beside me, I can’t ignore the warmth of our shoulders touching. The silence between us is comfortable as we both slightly tap our legs and bounce our heads to the music. He leans in close and puts his lips next to my ear to whisper as to not disturb our fellow passengers. He wants to borrow my phone for a second. Feeling his breath on my neck, all I can do is nod in response. I assume he’s gonna change the song or something. I don’t want him to feel like I’m watching his every move, so I close my eyes and try to take in the song. It’s taking him longer than I’d expect, but maybe he’s just not used to my phone or navigating in English. The song never changes and he hands the phone back to me. The ride is not long at all, and soon we are at my stop. Han gets off the train with me, but I stop at the stairs.
“Thank you so much for your escort, but I cannot allow you to walk me to the hostel.” I say putting my foot down.
“You’ve already come this far. I know you have work tomorrow; you need to get home!” I warn in a cheerful but serious tone grabbing his shoulder. I can’t help but mom him a little. Even though we are basically still strangers, I want the best for him, and that means at least a few hours of sleep before work.
“I’m going home! But first can I maybe get your number?”
He implores with a coy look and big eyes while holding out his phone with both hands, and it’s already open to the create a contact page. I enter my name and digits and snap a quick picture from that silly angle where are you can truly see if our foreheads. That causes his to giggle a little. Fuck it sounds so good every time. I hand the phone back.
“Thank you yet again for this Han. I had a wonderful time with you.”
He responds with something in Korean and bows slightly to me which I return. When I look up he’s headed to another platform and all I can do is turn around and walk to my hostel with a giant, stupid grin.
——————-
A.n. Thank y’all so much for reading this. Writing this has made me feel more connected to my fellow STAY 💜 also I fear this is going to be quite the long story. Maybe one day I’ll add it to ao3 or something

building my organization and productivity system part 1: school
hello interweb
this is a big project so we'll do this in parts.
first: school
I am finishing the last couple classes I need for my degree over the summer, therefore school is still an important part of my life.
Apps:
notion:
I am not a notion girlie, but I can't find an app that lets me build databases the way notion does. at least not one I like. I am a productivity app enthusiast so i've tried just about all of them and notion just works the best. Here is the template I use to keep track of my assignments. It is a mix of StudyWithAra's template and Notion's Assignment Tracker. The image above is the template I've made available for all of you! There are automations set up (the lightening icon), but I think everything is pretty self explanatory? if you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out.
edit: I have added a new section called "treats" to the database, to help motivate me to finish more of my work. I should add that this system is what I have developed while struggling to manage my chronic illnesses.
obsidian:
my one true love. i can wax poetic about why this is just a superior notetaking app, but that will be for a later post. for now, think of obsidian as a wikipedia database for all your notes. it allows for tags and backlinks and search and callouts... its amazing. love it there. uhm. a bit of a learning curve, but again a whole post on obsidian upcoming. here is a bit of an intro video for obsidian for students that I often return to. will reveal my obsidian notes in that post I'm working on.
timepage:
if you love stationery you might be familiar with Moleskine. they've built this wonder suite of productivity tools and timepage is the calendar app. I use this on my phone! its everything a calendar app should be and more. its super cute and functional and customizable. I use google calendar to create different calendars that i've color coded to correspond to different areas of my life. i use a couple different calendar apps but timepage is my school calendar. it tells me when to leave for class, how to get there, and how long i have to rest/study/eat between my classes. it shows the weather, alerts you of rain, and did i mention its cute?
things:
the adhd/depression/anxiety struggle is real. I have 101 different apps to tell me what to do and when. things is another one of those apps. one of my lovely friends purchased the mac app for me and it has been a game changer. i use things to organize my entire life, but in the screenshot above you'll see my school list. when notion is too overwhelming or i need to break down things a bit more, i use things.
youtube:
here are some youtube channels I recommend for motivation, for aesthetics, for background noise 1, 2, 3, for body doubling...
drafts:
cute little app. great for quick notes and also uses markdown so easy to copy and paste between drafts and obsidian. opens and closes quickly and syncs between your mac and phone for free! I write my speeches in here and also those last minute things your professor says after you've already put away your notebook.
anki:
just started using this because i am in desperate need for spaced repetition. i bought and set up a small remote using this video to help move through the flashcards faster. i am also terribly lazy so we definitely downloaded premade cards instead of making our own. still need to do a bit more research to be able to use this software properly, but it is good enough for now. I am supplementing this app with the flashcard app below.
brainscape:
i use this to learn whatever I am studying. recently it has been vocab and kanji, but I imagine I might add in grammar cards at some point too. if you are familiar with anki, brainscape has a similar system for "learning", meaning you rank the card after seeing the answer, deciding for yourself how well you know the material. I can also download the decks I make to use during my commute so that is super helpful. And it's free (with a subscription upgrade available)!
Supplies:
as for material supplies, you'll find some of my favorites below:
kokuyo campus semi B5 - 5 mm graph
kokuyo campus semi B5 - dotted 6 mm rule
zebra sarasa gel pen .07/.05
pentel energel .07/.05
pilot g2 .07/.05
zebra mildliners
bic mechanical pencils in .07
twsbi fountain pen medium/extra fine
platinum carbon black ink
hobonichi cousin
System:
okay so i'm not quite sure how to explain this in a way that makes sense, but i shall attempt it. the system as it stands has a few steps.
move weekly assignments and such from the syllabi to Notion
add due dates and deadlines into Calendars
move tasks to Things
plot study schedule onto Calendars
write essays using notes i wrote in Obsidian during class
study for Japanese using Brainscape and Anki for memorization
practice Kanji and writing in kokuyo campus notebooks
write scripts, quick notes, etc., using Drafts
migrate things from Drafts to Docs, Obsidian, Calendars, or Notion
commence studying using YouTube as background noise
---
that's all for now. I'm still working on the next few posts in this series, but I hope this is helpful or at the very least somewhat entertaining.
wishing y'all the best,
Neith
