I do enjoy the fact that each faction gives Rook a couple of unconventional familial figures.

Antivan Crow Rook gets the perpetually together-and-split-up Teia and Viago, whose love languages are bickering and poisons. Rook is Viago's favourite and he would never admit it to them, even if Teia is all too happy to expose his affection with her playful barbs.

Mourn Watch Rook gets Myrna and Vorgoth, the former of whom is akin to a college professor who found a baby in their science lab and the latter of whom is most definitely one of those mysterious executors from across the sea but it's fine because they're just Vorgoth and nobody questions it.

Shadow Dragon Rook gets T4T icons Tarquin and Ashur, a Templar who absolutely despises his job and the literal Black Divine, whose anti-slavery group is so full of queer people it may as well be a gay club. Same bickering energy as Teia and Viago, minus the poisoning and cyclical divorcing.

Grey Warden Rook gets Antoine and Evka, the most married wardens to ever exist. Antoine is the absolute sweetest man alive, and the only Orlesian allowed ever. Evka is incredibly competent and has everything under control. Their dates end with explosions. Everything is perfect.

Veil Jumper Rook gets Irelin and Strife. Strife is battling Viago for the grumpiest and meanest dad award. Irelin is clearly the golden child and favourite sibling and he makes that clear to Rook.

Lords of Fortune Rook gets Isabela and Rowan, a pirate turned allegedly somewhat ethical treasure hunter and Rivaini seer who regularly convenes with spirits. Neither of them are parents to Rook, they hold the most insane much older cousin energy though.

Cannot get over how Emmerich is all worrying about making a good impression on Strife, to make sure Strife likes him, and Strife's like 'this co-worker of your is so getting dicked down tonight!'

Basically 🥺👉👈 and 😈🍆😏 pair, but both are old men, and I'm so into it that I do not want to romance Emmerich myself anymore.

for real though when my Rook Aldwir found out Emmrich was dating Strife it's like. STRIFE??? The head of my faction who doesn't even say hello to me when I come home to Arlathan? Who didn't bother to show up when those two dragons were beating the shit out of me even though Viago who I've only met twice came AND brought poison to help??? Strife who told me to get out for saving some people and then only begrudgingly was like "fine. i guess." when i showed up again after 6 months and having almost died????? like get it girl he's hot for sure but how did you crack that. how did you make him like you. please teach me.

Here is the rest of Emmrich's loyalty mission. Then Taash's loyalty misson. Then talking over Emmrich's partner Strife with Lucanis. Which now I ship them. A quick talk with Solas. Then Emmrich giving up Lichood to save Manfred. Which was unbelievably sweet. I have to say thank you to every person that likes my post. Elonna has become my cannon Rook and I have been enjoying every minute of playing her. I am finishing her story right now. Just incase I get too busy, happy holiday's to all. lmao if you're a mourn watch (and possibly other urban-ish based backgrounds too I'm not sure?) mage, when you get the scene with strife coming to pick up emmrich for their date (bless) and he says that 'the thing about your friend is that for a city mage, he isn't afraid to play in the mud' thing, rook puts up the faux big wounded eyes and protests 'hey, I'm a city mage! 🥺'. (to which strife says 'well we can't all be perfect' and stone cold walks away. king. have fun out there with the lightning bugs and your lanky fancylad I've seen his fully unleashed rizz in action and you're a lucky guy <3<3<3)
