When my world feels upside down... I meet it there. In case you didn’t know, in addition to #traveling like a fiend, I do yoga... I love yoga. It’s been a saving grace in my life since I was about 14. Yogic philosophy and physical practice are the internal home I take refuge in when I find myself feeling lost or overwhelmed. In my latest homebase, New Haven CT, I’ve found a lovely space in the @breathingroomyogacenter to revel in my practice, and recently discovered a new obsession. Yesterday I tried #aerialyoga for the first time!! I’m hooked! #Inversions are one of my favorite things in a yoga class and in #aerial I got to spend so much time upside down. I have made a lot of changes in my life recently, emotionally, physically, dietarily, spiritually.... and change doesn't come easy for me, it never has. The difference this time is that, for maybe the first time in my life, every single one of these changes has been made with love for my OWN mind, body, and soul. Finding the power in LOVING ME for who I am and where I'm at in the moment, has given me a strength I lost touch with long ago. The physical, spiritual, and emotional practice of Ashtanga Yoga has been my anchor in life since I was barely 13. It wasn't an anchor I utilized as much as I should have, but as I have said... things are changing.
