Happy Flex Friday! Up at 6:00 and got a 30 minute upper body workout in to start the day. Did push-ups and squats as a warmup Today was 45 push-ups and 45 squats. Was able to just squeeze out 45 push-ups in one set and 45 squats had the quads feeling a little burn but no problemo.

I am a #SURVIVOR of #domesticviolence. If I haven’t said it before this it’s because I was #ashamed, in #denial, and/or still suffering the effects from the #manipulative behavior... BUT I’m saying it now. Emotional and mental manipulation is #abuse. It’s something I have been working on #healing within, and though I know I will be dealing with that healing for quite some time, I am grateful to have made it out of that situation. When you are faced with manipulative or abusive behavior, it can be disguised as #support, love, caring... the reality usually comes to the forefront eventually. Then comes the #empty #apologies and #compromises. There comes a time when you have to say, no. You have to stand up for yourself and stand your ground. It is not easy, and may lead to a violent reaction, as was my experience. I was fortunate to make it out with some bruising and a couple of scars (and my life). So I say this for people who have, or are, suffering from the emotional, mental and physical anguish of any and all abuse. You are strong. You are worthy. You deserve SO MUCH BETTER in this life. Know that. Please know that!
