Even though he's a selfish asshole, he has a really charming demeanor and good enough attitude during the shittiest of situations that most people find themselves enjoying the journey with him by the end of the day
With Tav's Party
(Let's say after you've saved him from being near beat to death for finally getting caught scamming the Zhents, you convince him to let you escort him to Baldur's Gate just to make sure he doesn't get jumped again and fucking Die)
The man is SO flirty. He can't stop flirting. Depends on if Tav is into it or not will drastically change how he comes onto them, but note its not JUST Tav hes flirting with. He's got eyes on practically everyone. (Except Laezel. He tried, once. She threatened to kill him) No one knows if hes serious or if its just his personality but the man can't stop flirting.
At first, he puts in some work. Wanting to put in a little effort to carry his own weight and not be a burden, though Tav insists on him resting after the ordeal
But it doesn't take long for him to milk the mothering. His injuries suddenly become too distractingly painful. Even though Shadowheart absolutely mended that broken rib two nights prior. He insists the bruising is still pretty serious. He needs to save his strength for travel.
The entire party gets pretty sick of his BS after a while, but its not enough to kick him out or anything
Phrases like 'shut up rugan' or 'fuck off rugan' become campsite mottos
Once you all get to Baldur's Gate, its a funny, bittersweet dynamic of everyone saying they're releaved he's finally leaving, but reluctant to say goodbye
The first night without him is unusually quiet without his drunken campfire stories and earth shakingly loud snores
Rugan as a Mentor
No ulterior motives in the sense that, he only ever recruits people he also finds attract. A bias he refuses to outright acknowledge ('I have an eye for talent! Not my fault the talents also a looker 😏') so he would recruit Tav with every intention of possibly bedding them. The motives are not ulterior. They are perfectly apparent.
Similar to in game canon, he'd recruit them by trying to come to some sort of sale arrangement. Though lets say instead of selling the chest to split profits for themselves, he convinces Tav that rescuing him would surely warrant a reward back at their base, which would in turn lead to more jobs, which would lead to more money for them
Always insists on training his personal recruitments himself (for the non-ulterior ulterior motives)
Is FULLY the type of coach who has to insist their stance is all wrong so he can stand intimately behind them and guide their limbs to the proper position
He's got his cheek pressed to their's, gruff voice low, talk'm'bout 'You're far too tense, Sweetheart. You really need to relax those shoulders and widen your stance, like this...'
He's entirely aware of what he's doing and makes Zero effort to be subtle about it

Two sides of the same coin - Body Buddies
Timothy and William were two friends who, despite the trials of life, held a bond that had weathered the test of time. Now both past their 50s, their lives had taken an unexpected turn. Timothy, recently laid off from his job, found himself at a crossroads. Over a pint in their local pub, the friends contemplated their futures.

“You know, the old gym in town is up for sale,” William mused, breaking the silence. Timothy looked at him, a spark of interest in his eyes.
"I've recently heard from a lot of young guys that they would like a place to work out.", he added thoughtfully and took a sip from his beer.
“If we bought it, we could fix it up and make it a great place to train.”
“Yeah, but who can afford it?” Timothy questioned, doubtful yet intrigued.
“Well, if we pool our savings together…” William suggested, shrugging nonchalantly. The spark in Timothy's eyes grew brighter. After some discussion, a decision was made. They would buy the gym and name it "Body Buddies."
Excited, they visited their new property. The gym was worse for wear, with old, rusty equipment and a thick layer of dust covering every surface. Discouraged, they wondered if they'd made a huge mistake.
“We need equipment and a good trainer, William. How did we not consider this?” Timothy sighed, running a hand through his thinning hair.
William nodded sadly: "Yes. Nobody is going to come if it looks like this. Even with a great trainer, we will need at least one good piece of equipment to get started. Once we have customers, we could buy more..."
"But we have neither."
Just as the weight of their predicament began to set in, Timothy's eyes caught a glimmer on the floor. Curious, he picked up an unusual coin. Suddenly, a wave of energy coursed through him, causing him to gasp.
“What's happening?” William asked, alarmed, just before he too began to convulse.
Timothy could feel his body changing. His spine straightened, his belly shrank, and his limbs thickened. His once thin hair grew into short, spiky strands and turned to a bright blond. A strong smell of sweat began to permeate the air around him, an oddly enticing scent, Timothy felt himself get hard from his own body odor - what effect might it have on other people? His age lines smoothed out as he morphed into a muscular, youthful man in his twenties. He flexed his new muscles, marveling at the strength and vitality coursing through him.
Meanwhile, William’s body was also transforming. He flattened and elongated, his skin hardening and straightening. The old man quickly lost all his wrinkles, and for a moment it looked like he was turning into a slim Black guy in his best years. However, the changes continued, as his limbs thinned and became shiny polished steel. Meanwhile, his body formed a flat, sturdy surface. His senses changed, giving him a new perspective of his surroundings. He was no longer William, the man. He was William, the workout bench.
“William?” Timothy asked, his voice deeper, more resonant than before. “Is that you?”
William did not reply, at least not with words. However, Timothy somehow knew that his friend was still in there. And just like him, his new body had needs. While Timothy yearned for the company of sexy women and... men? He shook his head, but it was clear as day to him now: He swung both ways now.
William on the other hand had entirely different needs now. As he was reduced to nothing more than a workout bench, he needed to be used, to the fullest extent. He could not wait for the sweat of their customers seeping deep into his leather surface and the grunts and gains of those using him.
Timothy looked at his new body, then at his friend, who was now an inanimate object. He felt a strange surge of confidence. This was a new beginning.
“Alright then,” Timothy said, his gaze determined. “Let's get to work.”
With that, he positioned himself above William, his hands grasping the edges. As he began his workout, the scent of sweat became stronger, filling the room. They were ready to take on their new roles, to start the adventure that was "Body Buddies."

"Exceed your widest dreams," the spam had said. It was a cheesy sales pitch pun from some local trainer. Try one PT session for free. It had stuck in Jordan's mind all morning though. Apparently there is a real advertising strategy to sneak spelling mistakes into ad copy to make people read the text slower and remember it better. He didn't think the amateurish spam had been quite so calculating, but the effect was the same nevertheless. He had thought of starting to exercise, and a free PT session might be just what he needed, so in the post-lunch lull he replied to the e-mail and was pleasantly surprised to quickly receive a response with suggested time slots. He had kind of expected it to be a scam. All the time slots were for four hours as well, so way more than any of the other offers he'd seen. Was it even effective to train for that long? Well, Wednesday 4pm to 8pm he would know.
The guy, Gary, an athletic but not crazy built man in his late thirties met him outside of the gym and walked him in through the front desk. The super-blond, super-tanned girl waved them through. He showed Jordan the locker room and handed him a shaker with opaque contents. "You're gonna need all of it," he said with a smile. Jordan emptied the shaker, changed into his workout clothes, and joined the trainer in the exercise room.
What followed was the most intense training he'd ever had. It was low intensity, but relentless. The guy had him do the same exercise over and over again with very light weights. They were basically going from machine to machine. After two hours he was handed another shaker, this time with a translucent red liquid that tested like synthetic strawberry. "Electrolytes" Gary had told him. He felt like he was running on fumes when finally Gary told him how proud he was of the work Jordan had put in. There was still one hour left of the time, and Gary explained that one very overlooked part of proper exercise was to properly stretch and relax the muscles after a workout, so they recovered as quickly as possible and increased in strength and volume as much as possible.
They went into a small side room with a massage bed where Gary slowly and methodically worked on Jordan's body with some kind of soothing oil. It felt heavenly on his sore muscles. Gary told him he would feel more soreness the coming days, but it was just natural while the body built muscle mass. While massaging he gave Jordan some easy tips on post-workout care, basically drink a lot, and went through some rudimentary dietary recommendations, all of which Jordan thought he would never do.
As they were getting close to part ways, Jordan was bracing himself for the inevitable sales pitch. $1000 per month or whatever the going rate for a PT was. There are only so many hours per day for them to sell after all. He almost felt robbed of not having to use any of the scenarios for wiggling out of any commitment that he had run through his head the night before. "Just email me if you have any more questions," he said. Not until Jordan had already showered and left did he consider that perhaps Gary was working for the gym somehow. Get people in for a killer session and then have them return, but shouldn't there be some follow-up then too? He was going to follow the hydration advice after all, he thought as he was heading home. He was incredibly thirsty, which wasn't a surprise after such a workout. Perhaps even buy a case of isotonic bottles as Gary had suggested?
Jordan was in pain as he woke up early morning the day after. He'd expected to be sore, but this was worse than he had ever experienced before, and he spent some time contemplating sleeping in. After minutes of tossing and turning he decided it was not going to happen, and perhaps a shower would better ease his angry muscles. Immediately getting up he realized what a transformation he had gone through during the night. His belly which had been slowly expanding since graduation was gone and his chest looked a little bit more like pecs than boobs. His arms looked about the same as yesterday, but when he moved and flexed them the difference was obvious. The shoulders looked more pronounced as well, perhaps more from posture than more muscles, but the change was obvious there too. He was shocked how one session could make such a big impact, and in just one day. Maybe he would follow the diet suggestions. This was close to his dream body that a few boring dishes and some crunches would nudge him that little extra step to visible abs and arm definition. Besides, he was starving.
It was impossible to concentrate on the work because of his constant low-level discomfort. Whenever he sat still for just a few minutes he felt stiff and as soon as he moved he felt sore. Only halfway to lunch he was starving again and raided the office kitchen's snack bar for trail mix and energy bars. He was hot too. He imagined all the worker cells being busy repairing all the muscle damage from the workout. But it meant that his normal cup of coffee wasn't anywhere near enough and he ended up with a water pitcher and a glass on his office table that he kept refilling.
For lunch, still hungry, he had plenty of helpings from a China buffet. He tried to think about the advice he had gotten from Gary on chicken, broccoli, and rice, but in the end he got plenty from all the dishes. By half past two he decided he needed to leave early and rest up at home. The feeling of burning hot had just gotten worse and he felt clammy from sweating. Perhaps he had the flu? That would explain a lot, the body aches, the slight fever. On the way home he bought a big four cheeses pizza and plenty of isotonic drinks, devoured it as soon as he got inside, and promptly crashed in bed for a nap.
It was dark as Joran woke up in agony. As he reached for the lamp switch he heard the sound of fabric tearing. He froze with his hand on the switch after he had flipped it, staring a the alien arm controlling the bedside light. It was massive, even in this stretched-out form, with finger-sized veins snaking up the tanned skin. He slowly drew his arm back, shocking himself with the size of the bicep as the arm bent. His mind raced with thoughts. Is this a fever dream? Don't think so. How did this happen? Don't know. Is it even possible? Sure looks like it. What does the rest of the body look like? What will the guys at the office say? What about mum? Tanning while sleeping?
He lept to his feet to the sound of more clothes ripping apart and stumbled over to his dressing mirror. Why his shirt wasn't holding up was immediately obvious. His shoulders were inches wider, as were his chest and his arms. His trousers were visibly straining from the size of his legs as well, and probably ripped apart on the back.
Getting out of the clothes turned out to be complicated. Where the seams hadn't given up the fabric was straining aginst his muscles, hugging his body. His attempts to undress were also hampered by him suddenly not being able to reach everywhere. His muscles had gotten bigger everywhere, but he or his arms hadn't gotten longer. He gave up and used some scissors to undress, and then cut off the arms of a T-shirt to get something on his upper body that fit. Just as he was about to put it on he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror and for a split second thought someone else was in the room with him. Just a day ago he was considering getting visible abs, and now he had ones big enough to show through a tight sweatshirt.
He drove to a 24/7 supermarket wearing just the cut-off T-shirt and a pair of basket shorts to get some real clothes, then, having changed in the bathroom he went to the gym just as they opened. It was the same girl at the front desk as when he and Gary were there. She obviously didn't recognize him, but to his surprise she told him Gary didn't work there. She was at first hesitant to talk about any other customers, but must have decided to treat Jordan as "one of them" given his pro-body builder physique and said a guy had paid for two people including access to a treatment room. She hadn't seen him neither before nor since.

Day 4 and 5 of 5 day workout week:
It’s already Friday!! It’s been a big couple of days around here. The hubby and I decided to jump on a spring sale for an adjustable split king-size bed with firm gel support mattresses! 😁 My 50 year old back and joints couldn’t be happier! 🙌🏽
In all the excitement, I forgot to post my last two workouts of the week!
-Day 4 was 48 minutes of advanced cardio step with single risers + weighted ab/core moves on a mat and a cooldown.
Total calorie burn = 447 kcals
-Day 5 was a 30 minute functional strength training routine for both the upper and lower body using moderate weight. I then piled on with cardio kickboxing for 40 minutes! I finished with a stretch and a foam roller.
Total calorie burn = 421 kcals
That’s all 5 for the week! Hope you all have a great Easter weekend! Now, I go to my new happy place and recharge:

Ibara: It depends not only on the strength of the unit, but also their ability to solidify their foundation.
…… I want to put all my effort into my own plans, but I wonder if I’ll have to do work for the higher ups as well.
It’s giving me a headache.

I smile, your flirtatious remark showed me how much you changed. Not physically, anybody can see that. But mentally. To think you used to want those pounds to come off. I feed you more of your dinner, a smirk spreading across my face.
"And what would that goal weight be?"
You chew, swallow, and get cutoff be an ominous creaking. The couch cracks and splits, making you jostle and jiggle as you sink towards the center. You clutch your belly in pain, not from the fall but from how it woke up the quintuplets, their kicks tossing your several meals around.
I couldn't do much about the couch situation, but you didn't stay there long because the quints were very punctual, arriving exactly on nine month mark. The doctors were surprised about every aspect of your pregnancy. How much you weighed before and gained during the pregnancy. The number of babies and size of them made them shocked you weren't premature. I had the doctor weigh you once the babies were out of you but kept you from knowing the number.
You stayed at the hospital for a while. You had gotten bored of the bland hospital food. You were given extra meals but you could swear the doctors were making you lose weight with how little they were. Finally I had returned, ready to bring my prized piggy home.
I rolled in on a comedically large mobility scooter. I looked like a child driving a car with how big the seat was. I hoped out and presented the scooter to you. The extra wide seat was the only custom feature you cared about. I had been training for this moment, my hands digging deep into your fat rolls. I grunted as I tried to help you into the scooter. You rolled out of the bed and into the scooter, your body looking like jelly as it eventually stopped jiggling. Tired, I threw myself on top of your beanbag belly. You drove out to the parking lot were I finally regained my strength to take you home.
After stopping for some drive-thru, you noticed that I wasn't driving the direction of the house. You mentioned I was going the wrong way but I crammed another burger into your mouth.

The new house was a gorgeous mansion. The front doors were massive and wide, it was the first time in years you didn't have to be squeezed through. I guided you to a huge room on the first floor. Inside there was a bed that took up most of the room. The walls were lined with minifridges and a walk-in closet had been repurposed into a small kitchen.

I firmly grab your belly and lift it up, tipping you over onto your back so I can start breeding you again.

From there on out, I really let loose. I can’t go a full hour without eating something. My growth doesn’t stop for a moment nor slow down. I do get knocked up again and my pregnancy amplifies my development. You will be a father to 10 in the next 9 months. We will become parents to an astounding 22 children in less than 5 years.
“More!” My meals increase too. My breakfasts are heavier, my lunches triple and my dinners could feed a large family. And I’ve become so disgustingly greedy, so much so that I still yell “I’m starving!” through after all of what I just mentioned.
I’ve become a relentless food disposal.
“Honey, just how big am I now?” I pant while I’m stuffed to the gills, yet hungry. I’m always either hungry or full or both. It is amazing; to be full and at this size. My capacity for food has enlarged, but I’m always go over my limits still.
My last remaining clothes that I have on were like string attached to me, ready to snap. My tits were heavy and bigger than my own head. My colossal tummy that dwarfs anyone who may encounter it has long prevented me from getting up ever again.
I have gone without walking for so long that I have forgotten what it was like. Or what it was like to even be out of bed. I had outgrown my scooter. My custom built scooter was broken due to my weight and size, so I haven’t moved in a long while.
If you were to lift me off the bed somehow, you would probably see the shape of my gigantic ass imprinted on the mattress. The only thing I’m able to move nowadays were my arms, but even that is a little hard. I struggle to reach my mouth and feed myself. Even my prime function, I can’t deliver on anymore.
I have grown so much that now I just let you feed me, and honestly, that’s how I prefer it that way
“Baby, tell me.” I sweated as you lifted my belly to reach underneath me, readying yourself to give me newest batch of babies. I had gone through my pregnancy with my decuplets too fast. They were overdue babies, but it was too quick for me. I needed more.
I want it more.
I want more so badly. But I needed to know my size first. With labored breaths, I begged again: “Tell me how big I am! Tell me what it is before you impregnate me up again. I’ve grown so much for you, it’s the least you could do.”

This won't work for everyone, but this is what I do.
Concerning food, I once cooked a bunch of meals one weekend and froze them. Now every weekend I cook just one thing (that makes at least 4 servings) and freeze it to replenish the stock. This will still run out faster than you can cook, so every other day I eat a salad. I like routine, so it's the same salad: romaine lettuce, olive oil, shredded parmesan, croutons, and a hardboiled egg. Over the weekend, I hardboil all the eggs I'll need for the week. Cooking daily makes me cry, literally, but this method of prep works really well for me. No more tears!
Over the weekend, I also prep cold green tea. I make 64oz of green tea and stick it in the fridge. I drink one 16 oz glass while doing strength training; for cardio, I only drink water. Green tea has caffeine, so it helps revitalize me. Idk if this matters, but I don't drink coffee. 16oz of oolong tea in the morning, and then 16oz of green tea while working out. That's it.
For working out, after my eight hour shift, I walk my dog. When I'm done, I make a protein shake with protein powder and unsweetened soy milk. I don't blend it (ain't got time!), I just stir it with a fork. It's very lumpy, but that doesn't bother me. Be careful with protein shakes though. Some are very high in sugar or calories. I only use half the recommended powder from mine, and it's plenty of protein for me. Without this shake, I'd probably collapse. Between it and the tea though, I have the energy I need.
Next, I couple working out with my interests. If lifting weights, it's recommended you wait approx 90 seconds between sets (or so I've heard). I have Docs on my phone; I set a 90 sec timer and work on my WIP until it goes off. This might sound dumb to some people, but Neil Gaiman said he wrote Coraline at 50 words a day and that's a quote I live by. "The time will pass anyways," as we say here on Tumblr. If I don't have a WIP, I read manga. I listen to kpop and jpop while lifting. It doesn't distract me from reading or writing because I don't understand the majority of the lyrics. When on the treadmill, I often walk on an incline rather than run. I put the incline as high as it'll go, then choose a pace that won't make me miserable (usually between 2-2.5), and I read a book while I walk. I listen to piano or orchestra while I do this. Again, some might say this is dumb, but I hate cardio and this still builds up a sweat. I'm not trying to break records here, just keep in shape.
I always take at least two rest days a week (usually Wednesday and Saturday). I usually do 4 days of strength training and 1 day just cardio. Because I hate cardio, I usually do that on Sunday, when I have more energy. On strength training days, I do four activities, either three upper bodies and one ab or three lower bodies and one ab. Some of these are categorized loosely because they hit upper and lower (deadlifts, for instance).
And that's about it. After working out, I shower, eat dinner, then veg out on the couch. I go to bed early enough to get a minimum of seven hours sleep.
Some things worth noting:
Weights are expensive af. It took years of Black Friday sales to get the equipment I have now. When I first started, all I had was a yoga mat and a set of 10lb dumbbells I got used off eBay for cheap. I never signed up at a gym and likely never will. It's just not for me.
My work commute is admittedly very short. If it were longer, Idk if I'd have time to work out as much as I do.
Everyone has different lifestyles and circumstances. It took me years of having meltdowns to figure out what worked for me, and what works for me likely won't work for others. So I would say the important thing is to try new routines. It's fine to cry when it doesn't work, but make sure you try something different after you pick yourself up. Figuring out a routine that worked for me has made my life better than I thought possible. I used to be stressed all the time, and I hated myself. Now I can't remember the last time I broke down from stress. Sometimes I still get down on myself, but it's harder to do that when I'm reading 20+ books a year instead of 1 or 2 and writing over 100k a year instead of nothing.
