über die falsche verwendung des begriffes "mixtape"

mich nervt die idiotie in und ausserhalb der musikwelt extrem, was bestimmte termini angeht. produzenten werden djs genannt, weil alle und die cousins der schwestern ihrer enkel glauben, dass djs diejenigen sind, die auch die musik produzieren. produzierte musik wird "remix" genannt, weil das wort "remix" irgendwie in den sprachgebrauch der menschen gelangt ist, ohne dass sie wissen, dass mit "remix" eigentlich eine eigene version der originalversion des songs eines anderen produzenten gemeint ist.

"hast du schon den neuen remix von dj madonna gehört? der ballert immens."

und dann gibt es das mixtape. das MIXTAPE. heutzutage ist ein mixtape ein mp3, das bei youtube oder soundcloud hochgeladen wird. über den etymologischen ursprung des wortes "mixtape" muss man sich ja auch keine gedanken machen, hauptsache der beat stimmt. und wenn der stimmt, dann ballert es, das remix-mixtape.

und hier - achtung; kurze lehreinheit - ein mixtape ist tatsächlich eine kassette, auf der dj mixes aufgenommen werden. von jemandem, der platten besitzt oder sie ausgeliehen hat (oder im schlimmsten falle unter einsatz seines lebens illegal aus einem plattenladen in detroit entwendet hat), die platten live mixt (oder wie es heute heisst: ein dj set macht) und das ganze auf kassette aufnimmt. nicht mehr, nicht weniger.

wenn ich mir mal so richtig den tag versauen will, gebe ich auf youtube "mixtape" ein und sortiere das ganze nach uploaddatum. tape hiss? 99% der uploader wissen nicht, wie das klingt.
