In Rekindle the Flame, Akito mentions that they will need an adult to go with them on their trip to America, and while unlikely, I think it would be very funny if that responsibility somehow fell into Harumichi’s hands.

Toya is about to do a long winded presentation on why he and his group need to go to America to watch this performance and Harumichi cuts him off with “You will need an adult who has been there before to go with you, so I suppose you can go if I supervise.”

But in the time leading up to it he is reminded that 1. he also has to supervise Toya’s street music friends, and 2. he has to supervise Toya and his street music friends to go see a street music performance. He cannot admit this oversight to Toya and cancel, he is too stubborn and full of pride to do such a thing. The entire trip he is angrily shaking his fist in his head trying to keep his cool

I think An and Akito swear significantly more than Kohane and Toya due to Vivid Street probably being like the best place to inhabit sailor type ass swearing

An got influenced to speak from the fact she was always around adults which Ken kinda had to live with (Nagi & Taiga made the situation worse cuz they thought it was funny) and Akito is just like that naturally so that AND vivid street makes me think its like every other fucking word

Kohane I think has it in her to swear its just not a lot and Toya barely calls An and Kohane by their first names so I think he's above the concept

any time i imagine kid xelqua lounging in grian's house, he is watching sesame street or dragon ball z, with snacks sat on the cushion next to him.

Over Rad Squad happened so long ago but I'm still not over how much of Kohane's arc is about love.

It takes her 3 events to fully connect to Vivid Street and she does it through the love for music they share. And that love helps her realise that Vivid Street is also stuck, also scared of taking that first step, like she used to.

She's blowing up the wall for Vivid Street too.

So if Kohane is the only one who could blow up that wall— that means the only one who could ever save Vivid Street was Kohane.

vivid street is like. THE most trans supportive place around. because of that, an (who is a trans girl to me) got her Transgender Realization really early on (her looking up to nagi so much certainly contributed too) meanwhile akito (trans guy) got his egg cracked quite early thanks to it, too. that, and social media, helped with cracking ena's (trans girl) egg too

kohane (trans girl) had no way of having vivid street help with cracking her egg, and toya (trans guy) realizing he was trans was assisted by the tenma siblings (who are also trans, tsukasa trans guy and saki trans girl) before he discovered it, but akito definitely wouldn't have his egg cracked if not for vivid street

Insane to hear the "An wasn't lonely in middle school you guys made that up for the angst" argument. Please actually read the story because I cannot stress enough it is literally stated in the text

Obviously it's not the same kind of loneliness that Saki & Mizuki & Rui & more other characters experienced. An was not isolated nor shunned & canonically had friends in middle school (even Haruka aside; she did have friends. An always makes friends, it's just who she is). It is very much more "lonely in the crowd" kind of loneliness because An's goals and dreams never aligned or were understood by those around her. This doesn't mean her loneliness mattered less than other characters', it was just different in nature, and yes it did actually affect her psychologically and you can trace its influence throughout An's entire relationship with Kohane. Come on now.
