The iconic number 28 Lisbon tram 🚃 connects Martim Moniz with Campo Ourique, and passes through the popular tourist districts of Graca, Alfama, Baixa and Estrela. For visitors, this is the classic Lisbon tram journey, riding in a quaint yellow tram as it screeches and rattles through the narrow streets of the city. . #lisbon #portugal #lisboa #travel #europe #lisbonne #lisbonlovers #visitportugal #photography #lissabon #visitlisbon #lisbonportugal #travelphotography #lisbona #love #art #pt #photooftheday #o #instagood #porto #ig #lisboalive #picoftheday #sintra #architecture #travelgram #visitlisboa #like #streetphotography @visiting.lisbon @toplisbonphoto @lisbon.streetart @portugal @visitportugalraw @visitportugal @earthpix @visualambassadors @streetphotographyinternational @lonelyplanet @europestyle_ @travelandleisure @beautifuldestinations @living_destinations @citykillerz @citybestviews (at Lisbon, Portugal) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_KxU4ogLaU/?igshid=1i41exfjra0gw

SAM3
Born in Elche, Spain, SAM3  currently lives and works in Madrid, Spain. His large street murals are  certainly hard to miss saying the least and can be found across the  world.  He is an artist that paints big as well as small  shadows and silhouettes in his urban surroundings. Sometimes ironic, other times poetic, always thought-provoking, his work is more than a pretty picture.
Voluntas
The piece shows how the head controls the body, while the body keeps the  head above the water. As usual SAM3 works with philosophical concepts in a poetic and narrative way.

Mural Tríptico / Sam3 and Blu
The black silhouettes that evoke nature by Sam3 and Blu turned these walls into an outdoor gallery that adorns one of the banks of the Manzanares River of Madrid. As the artist has commented, his work is mostly on the street because he believes that art must be spontaneous and available to all without passing economic or cultural filters. This work was one of the projects promoted by Madrid Wall Management Office. This "office" was created in 2010 to bring together Madrid urban artists with communities of neighbors and owners of walls who are interested in street art. Street Art in Lisbona
What the architecture of Lisbon is most associated with! Of course, with azulejo tiles, red roofs and the narrow streets of Alfama. However, there is one more factor that defines Lisbon - it is "Street art".
Of course, not all of the works are of the highest caliber, but there are a few iconic ones - which are real works of art and it is worth finding a moment to visit them while exploring the Portuguese capital. Fortunately, there are two places where we can find several works grouped close to each other - I describe them below.
The first location worth visiting is the Santa Apolonia metro area, more precisely the section along the shoreline leading to another station on the blue line, Terreiro do Paco. We can find there, among others, futuristic works by Pixelpancho and Vhils.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Did you notice how the two above works were done? The greater part has been mapped directly into the wall. Vhils is responsible for this.
In addition to the works of these two, during a short walk we will also find a massive warehouse with a very long painting, each episode of which presents something completely different.

The second area of street art is the Fontes Pereira de Melo avenue, with the Picoas metro station. Why this particular place? Because of the 2010 Crono project to decorate abandoned buildings and restore them to the city. Famous artists have been invited to cooperate and the effect is electrifying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Street art can be loved or hated. However, the above works are, firstly, mostly legal, and secondly, of the highest quality. Unfortunately, as in life, some people abuse tolerance for artists, and their poorly developed “works” spoil the atmosphere of historic streets. At this point, the authorities of Lisbon should be commended for separating special zones and inviting famous artists to truly beautify the city.
Thanks for visiting my blog:)))

On the 1st November 1755 a violent earthquake, followed by equally devastating fires, destroyed the centre of Lisbon. The Royal Palace, the House of India, aristocratic palaces, the Opera House that was still under construction, art and royal treasures were all irreversibly lost. ⚜ From the ruins of medieval Lisbon came a zone redesigned along modern and functional lines. The whole project became linked up to the will and pragmatism of the all-powerful Marquis of Pombal, minister to José I. He set about the swift implementation of a redevelopment project drawn up by Carlos Mardel and Eugénio dos Santos. In the wake of the cataclysmic destruction, the first priority was to rehouse people and get mercantile trading restarted. To do this, it was necessary to rebuild rapidly. ⚜ The Lisbon dating from the second half of the 18th century was set down according to geometric pattern, a grid on which buildings were built. They were provided with a "cage-like" anti-earthquake system. This was a system of crossed wooden beams over which the walls were built. The construction was totally revolutionary for the time as it was the first time a system of mass production was applied to housing with the standardisation of certain details: the windows, the verandas on the first floor, the steps and inner areas covered with layers of tiles. ⚜ The "Downtown" of Lisbon, or "Pombaline Downtown", as it is also known in honour of Pombal, is not characterised by the ornamentation of its buildings, it rather represents a new social order that emphasised the trading and financial classes. However, to more than counterbalance this, there is the harmony of the effect, the perpendicular streets with many a view down to the Tagus, the traditional stores and interesting monuments. Any wander through the very heart of Lisbon certainly proves to be a most pleasant experience. 🇵🇹 #dronephotography #drone #aerialphotography #aerial #photography #landscapephotography #travel #city #lisbon #lisboa #visitportugal #europe #lisboaportugal #visitlisboa #visitlisbon #lisboalovers #lissabon #lisbona #lisbonne #architecture #marquesdepombal #pombalina #downtown #pombaline #streetphotography #cityviews (at Lisbon, Portugal) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-2fco-HQof/?igshid=jrmneyn1bh4d
