A lot of people are worried about the album's b-sides getting neglected in favor of charting "Who", but I think if we do the following habit we can make it work:
On every Spotify account you have:
This Is Jimin
MUSE
FACE Remixes
Closer Than This (single)
MUSE Remixes
Set Me Free Pt.2 (single)
MUSE WANDER
SGMB (Single)
MUSE WONDER
THEN alternate between a "Who" focused playlist & MUSE + Remixes Playlists.
By doing these steps not only will we maintain Jimin on Artist Chart, but also keep Who & MUSE stable.

Thrive out spite, if necessary
The vast majority of the time, I go through the world trying to magnify the good--at least, out loud. But sometimes, life hands me a big pile of shit. (It does that to everyone.)
One of the huge shifts I had in my global perspective happened about two years ago when I had a steep uphill battle with uterine cancer. And I realized that... too much shit results in toxic shock and can kill a person. You can't take all that in and hold on to it.
Sometimes, you have to take shit and use it to fertilize your crops.
Sometimes, you have to accept that life isn't fair, and that it hands you so much shit, that if you don't start using that to your advantage, to focus and motivate you, you will get buried.
No one wants to die under a mound of shit.
It's very very VERY clear to me that the Western music industry is scared of BTS and that people in their own companies have it out for Jimin in particular. There's been issues with every release, of course, and I'm no solo or anti--but it's so, SO blatant now that Geffen executives feel empowered to mock ARMY requests for presale links on an open timeline.
And I'll be real with you, when I saw this shit unfold last night, I felt... RAGE. Because every member of BTS is a good person and a hardworking, talented artist in their own right. They all deserve the very best. But my bias in particular is one of the kindest, most humble, most altruistic people on the planet--he has never been difficult or ego-driven--and he does not deserve to be hobbled this way.
So I intend to work extra, extra hard for him. I will shovel through the shit and I will buy, and stream, and vote like a madwoman, until the very end. Even if they cull his numbers and sabotage his charts, his profits in sales and the noise made online will show him--it wasn't all for naught. He's seen, he's heard, he's appreciated, he's loved. (To be honest, he could show up in an empty grass field and sing through a bullhorn and I'd still find a way to get there and scream my lungs out for him. Nothing's gonna stop Park Jimin.)
If you're as enraged as I am and you want to do something productive with that energy, stream the hell out of your playlists and ask at least one family member and one friend to promise to buy SGMB this Friday.
And remember:
Most of the time, things blossom out of love.
But sometimes, you have to thrive out of spite.
Much love,
Roo

The way the BP members are being well promoted and preforming everywhere really puts in perspective how little Hybe has been doing for every member that isn't Jungkook. This is how a member of one of the biggest groups in the world should be promoted. BTS members should be getting more than BP even, but instead they're being treated like they're the members of a random 4th gen boy group. I think so many fans have gotten too used to the bare minimum, they don't realize that this isn't the norm, that any other artist in this level is being given ten times more. If you show a western artist and their label Jimin's promotions and the amount of time he was given to promote and they would be appalled. Like Crazy was given nothing and Who is barely getting anything. Jimin had one fucking week to promote an album he spent months working on. Like, I need people to stop and think about that again cause I feel we forget how insane that was. Look at any other artist and how long they normally promote their albums for. Jimin had one week. Not one month, one week. I'm going to saying it again because it's so ridiculous: One week. ONE! And armys think this is normal?! How low are standards at this point that this is considered not a big deal? That getting a few extra remixes and covers (that are only useful if you already have a lot of fans willing to buy and stream) is considered peak privilege even though those things don't help introduce the song to anyone that isn't a fan. That is not promotion. Do these people know the meaning of the word promotion? You don't need to promote to people that are already fans. Which is why that Instagram channel (that is of course already being used for another member because Jimin has never actually been privileged and nothing he is given is ever exclusive to him) can't be called promotion. You know things are bad when people think privilege is a fucking Instagram channel that no one but fans that already follow them would even know exists. Do armys think this is 2013 and BigHit is a small little company that can't do much for their artists so it's up to the fans to do all the work? Do they not realize Hybe is a huge company worth billions of dollars? Jimin asking his multi-billion company (that he helped get that rich in the first place) for 4 music videos is not in fact a demand so crazy he needs to apologize for even daring to ask it. To even talk about budget when not only does Hybe already have so much money but Jimin constantly makes them even more is absolutely ridiculous. In one day he made them at least 11 million dollars (definitely more) with a documentary that cost almost nothing considering it was all recorded by SGMB themselves, had simple editing, didn't have any promotion other than posting about it on their own social media and was released in a platform Hybe already owns, meaning all the money goes straight to them. And in return Hybe gave him a fanmeet that looked like it cost maybe a 100 dollars. They were being stingy with the number of fucking balloons on his livestream, that company is actually unhinged.
I know this is has already been said before but sometimes is just hits me how incredibly incompetent Hybe is and how ridiculous it is that armys will try to convince us that this is all normal and we're crazy for thinking Hybe should be doing more.
I’ve seen armys complain about BTS’ lack of promotion before. (mostly where it concerned nwjs but still) Outside of that though, they’ve definitely always prized the fact that BTS got their accolades despite BH not doing anything for them. It was their prime dragging material for years towards western and other kpop artists.
But now, the complacency definitely comes from the fact that they don’t see that there’s anything wrong with the inequality between JK and the other members. Not a new development, it’s been discussed before. They’re never gonna call it out because it would mean having to face the fact that everything that has happened in chapter 2 completely goes against OT7ness BTS themselves have crafted, criticize their favorite member and realize that they’re complicit in turning a blind eye to that same inequality in spite of their own 7 or nothing mentality.
And as long as HYBE knows that armys will be there to provide adequate returns, they’re not gonna do anything substantial for the other members. Since it makes them feel like they don’t need to. (This especially goes for Jimin.)
So it’s not incompetence. Bang knows how the music industry operates and what it takes to successfully navigate it. You see how they magically gained the ability to provide prompt links, CDS for both pre release and title tracks (with an additional version) pre orders and pre saves for Jin. Whereas it took their mess getting aired out on national news for them to give Jimin much of anything. And since Jimin is still able to produce stellar results with the meager aid he receives, armys and all these other solos still think that he’s the most favored member. That’s also why even with discussing the inequality the other members receive in comparison to JK, I still can’t find it in me to group them with Jimin’s inequality cause it’s still night and day. He’s still the only member really getting fucked over.
That’s why the constant gaslighting armys will do like chalking it up to jealousy everytime someone points it out, or either make it a “western industry” or a collective BTS issue really exhausts me at an atomic level.

I was in the car a lot today, traveling back from a trip I took. Of course I streamed FACE and Closer Than This and SGMB. But I also listened to some actual radio. I started paying attention to the lyrics of many of the “biggest songs out there” (I live in the U.S.). Taylor Swift, Usher, Raye, etc. Listen. All of these artists are writing songs about misery and broken hearts and how much they hate their ex….their situation…their lives. Lyrics like “it’s got to be better than this” or “when did we start kissing strangers” or “I don’t want to feel like I did last night”. Ok, these songs are catchy no doubt. But I find it kinda sad that the go-to feeling in most of today’s songs is misery or heartache. Which got me thinking about our Jimin. If he wants to call out haters, he’s very capable of doing so (Set Me Free pt. 2 anyone?). But I’ve noticed that if he writes a song about love, it’s always sweet and positive. He wants everyone to know he loves deeply and completely and that being together is the most important thing. And always, he’s singing directly to his love (whose name starts with “J” and ends with “ungkook”), making sure to convey the depth of his feelings. I just find that so endearing. I cannot WAIT to hear his newest (love) songs. I know they are going to be beautiful. 🥰 Have I told you lately how much I love Jimin? How much I love it when he’s letting us know just how in love HE is? Well, I do. I really, really do. Just look at his expression when the object of his affection is in his line of sight! I’m sure that view gives him a lot of inspiration.

I’ve been sitting on and really digesting MUSE the past few days as I didn’t know how I felt about it when I had my first listen. It didn’t help that I was feeling mixed feelings about SGMB.
Now, I’ve really fallen in love with all of the songs! Rebirth is so light and airy and magical, it immediately caught my attention and I think really did a great job introducing the rest of the album. I’ve really warmed up to SGMB and WHO (curse you Youtube for whatever audio processing you always mess up!!! First listens should always be either thru the physical CDs or streaming app at least.) Love Slow Dance and Be Mine!!! And Closer Than This—I didn’t like it at all when it was released and haven’t really listened to it since then. But I hearing it with the rest of the album it fits so well and I’ve really enjoyed listening to it now!!! Would it be incorrect to say that Jimin is an album artist??? He really has that ear to make a cohesive album!!!
***
I'm noticing a lot of people pick Rebirth as their favourite off the album. It's mine too.
"Would it be incorrect to say that Jimin is an album artist??? He really has that ear to make a cohesive album!!!"
All it takes is one listen from top to bottom to feel the vision Jimin had for his album, and I think that alone confirms your thought that Jimin is in fact an album artist. It was the same deal with FACE.
And this is exactly the sort of artist the pop world is yearning for lately. In my opinion. Singles are nice, but an artist who is able to string a compelling storyline or motif throughout an album, is so much more satisfying to listen to. Again in my opinion.
You're like the fourth person I've seen say that as standalone tracks, SGMB and a couple other tracks on the album didn't hit at first, but listening to the whole album in order had a different effect. Personally, I liked all the songs at first listen, but certainly liked them more listened to in sequence.
Overall for me, as a project, MUSE lags behind FACE in its ambition and stylistic references - SMF Pt 2 is still my favourite Jimin solo, what I see as his best work, and there's nothing like the layered subliminals of Robert Mapplethorpe iconography or panopticons in MUSE. In his latest album we get Pop-prince-on-molly Jimin, which is nice, but I'm a bigger fan of when he leans into his darker impulses and experiments a bit more in his music.
Still, every song on Muse is daring in its own way. I can't imagine anyone else making a song like SGMB for example, and actually making it good, which Jimin does.
Muse left me wanting more from Jimin. Another album, a full one this time. We're in the era of Big, Distinct Voices in pop music, and if there's one person in k-pop who I think can stand alongside the Chappell Roans and Hoziers on the charts, it's Jimin.
