skz bingo; #7, she/her pronouns, with chan?? maybe some sort of bookstore meet cute where reader can't reach a certain book that's on a shelf just out of her reach, but chan is a little taller than her so he manages to crowd against her back and grab the book for her?? 👀 I don't mind either sfw or nsfw, whichever feels like it fits the fic best!
my dear, I couldn’t make chan taller for fear of excluding the tall girlies ;w; but I think I still worked it in well. and I hope you like hyunlix, because they’re in the background fulfilling my bookkeeper/florist couple fantasies. I also split the difference between n/sfw with extraflirty!chan, enjoyyy 🫶🏻
🖤 read me like a book (bangchan x reader) 🖤
Pairings: chan x reader, background hyunlix
Words: 1170 (I gave up on the world limit)

Felix has been flirting with Hyunjin for over ten minutes, which is only a problem for you because he is sitting on the only ladder in the entire bookstore. The shop owner sits on the middle rungs as the florist leans against the wall and dramatically tells him about his morning. Felix clutches the bundle of white and yellow daffodils Hyunjin brought for him to his chest with a dreamy smile.
Residing on one of the upper shelves, out of your reach, is a new romance novel that you came to purchase. You steal a glance at Hyunjin and Felix, then continue glaring at your target. Now, it was not just the minor inconvenience souring your mood, but the envy of seeing the two men together. You felt incredibly unlucky in comparison to the perfect couple chatting away in the corner. You were tired of reading about romance, and more than ready to find it for yourself.
The tips of your fingers just brush the spine of one of the copies as you try again, and you sigh in defeat. Climbing the shelf would be entirely too hazardous, although you are getting desperate enough at this point to try it. You had been waiting for this book for months. But, as miserable as you were, you refused to interrupt Felix and Hyunjin.
“Hey there,” You look over your shoulder to face the man that speaks to you, “You, uh, look like you could use a little help?”
“I’ve got it.”
The speed in which you turn away is criminal. The stranger is incredibly handsome, and you would be damned if you let the cutest man to ever walk into this bookstore see the smut you were trying to pull off the shelf. He clears his throat gently and you peek over your shoulder at him.
“Hm, are you sure? I’ve got to grab something up there anyway.”
“O-Okay. I-If you wouldn’t mind…”
You are about to move when the man drops a stepstool behind you and springs onto it with ease. He braces one hand over your shoulder and leans in, his chest brushing against your back as he grabs the books. Your breath catches as he hops down again, and you will yourself to breathe as you turn around. You inhale sharply as he does not hand the book over to you, but flips through it instead. He then reads that lovely little page of content warnings- mainly kinks- listed by the author at the beginning of the book.
Your face burns as he hums and casually places it in your hand.
“Here’s your book.”
“It’s not mine,” You blurt quickly.
“Oh? Did you want a different one?”
You clutch it to your chest.
“N-No! I-I’m buying it… for my friend. I don’t read this stuff.”
“Oh, I see,” There is a troublesome little glint in his eye, “That’s a shame. That author is quite popular. Maybe you should give it a try?”
You squirm under his playful gaze. You wish you could just melt into the bookcase to escape this conversation.
“No.”
“No? Why not?”
“It’s not… realistic…”
His eyebrows quirk but he looks satisfied with your answer. Felix interrupts the tense moment as he begins leaving the bookstore with Hyunjin.
“Hey, Chan, I’m taking my break now. You got an eye on the cash?”
“Yeah, mate, you’re good. I’ll see ya in a bit.”
Hyunjin gives you an excited wave, which you return shyly, as Felix adds:
“Oh, y/n, I put a book aside for you. It’s behind the counter. Chan, her name is on it.”
“Alright.”
“Thank you,” You murmur.
The doorbell chimes as the door falls shut behind them, and you are left alone with Chan. He kicks up the stepstool and catches it one hand.
“Well, y/n,” He coos in his lovely accent, “I’ll be at the cash if you need anything. Give me a shout if you have any questions, yeah?”
“Y-Yeah, sure.”
He winks and walks behind the counter, settling in and opening the book he pulled from the shelf. You stall for a bit, then steel your nerves and approach the checkout. Chan sets his book aside and smiles as you set yours on the counter. He finds the book Felix set aside for you, and it is the exact same book you pulled from the shelf.
The road to Hell is truly paved with good intentions.
Chan pauses then coyly asks, “I guess you don’t want two of these, hm?”
You puff your cheeks.
“No.”
He chuckles and begins ringing up your purchase.
“Okay, I won’t tease you anymore. You don’t have to be embarrassed, you know?”
“I’m not embarrassed.”
He side-eyes you playfully.
“Alright. Are you paying with cash or card?”
“Cash.”
You quickly pull the bill from your pocket and hand it to Chan. You are both quiet as he makes your change then hands it back to you. You count it then furrow your brow gently.
“Something wrong?”
“Um, it seems… You gave me extra.”
He checks the receipt then looks at your hand as you hold it out to him.
“No, it’s right.”
“You gave me a discount?”
You drop the change in your pocket and accept the book and receipt as he hands them to you.
“Of course. Pretty girls shouldn’t have to pay full price.”
You fluster.
“I thought you said you weren’t going to tease me anymore?”
He rests his chin in his hand and leans his elbows on the counter with a smirk.
“That wasn’t teasing. That was flirting.”
You clutch the book to your chest and duck your blushing face.
“Well…”
He giggles and the charming sound startles you to look up again.
“Sorry. I’ll stop.”
“I-It’s okay.”
“Hm?”
“Uh, you don’t have to stop.”
Chan smiles warmly.
“Only if you like it.”
“I, um, I do.”
“Okay then. Well, I hope your friend likes the book.”
“It’s almost worse when you pretend you don’t know…”
“Well, for the record, I believed you a little bit.”
“Sure.”
“I did,” He purrs, “And I would agree with you. I tried to read those books but they weren’t really my thing.”
“You did?”
“Mhm, like you said: it wasn’t realistic. If you’d like an example of something more realistic though, I’d be happy to show you.”
You roll your eyes as a grin breaks out on his face. Although he delivered the line with confidence, his whole face is flushed like yours.
“I’ll keep that in mind…”
Chan winks as you walk away.
“Have a good day!”
You rush out of the bookstore and pause outside as you notice something sticking out of the book you just purchased. You flip it open to see a scrap of paper with a phone number written on it. You look through the window of the bookstore to see Chan, giving you a fluttery wave as you piece it all together. You huff and cover your face as you stomp away, but you cannot suppress your charmed smile.

੭୧ ⼂ PRINCESS ﹗
ー☆ㅤㅤ [ lmh x fem!reader ] ㅤ੭𓂃 ㅤfluff 𓏧 being your enemy’s passenger princess is a dream that he likes it as much as you do ㅤ warnings drunk reader ﹢ 0.8k wc ㅤ𓏧ㅤ @sxmmerberries (beta)
“Why am I her emergency contact?” your friend’s boyfriend cowers under his pointed gaze and hastily explains how you did not have an emergency contact so he just dialled your most recent call. Halfway through that explanation your friend drunkenly starts kissing her boyfriend making that the cue for them to leave.
Minho looks at you, who has been suspiciously quiet the whole time before he sighs, accepting his fate and drags you to his car. His glares do nothing to soothe the ache in his heart as he softly places you down on the passenger seat and carefully tucks your legs in before attaching the seatbelt.
Closing the door, he moves to the other side, sets himself down on the driver’s seat and puts in your house location. As soon as he starts the car you mutter your first sentence for the night, “You really came.”
“Yes, you called me so,” he reasons, more to himself than with you, hating the pang in his heart formed at the thought of what if you had called someone else and not him. God, he would have hated it!
You giggle under the influence saying, “Do you know how many times I have dreamed of being your passenger princess?” His heart flutters at the sound of your light laugh filling the car making him bite back a smile as he asks, “Why?”
“Because you look hot driving,” your blatant voice makes him choke on air as he feels his face getting hotter at the compliment. Minho tries to focus on the road and less on his thumping heart as you continue blabbering, “I am so cliché, I like my enemy.” After a short breath you continue, “Will you tease me about this tomorrow? Well, that’s okay, I will just make myself believe.”
When you suddenly stop his eyes widen and he hastily asks before he can stop himself, “Believe what?”
“That you tease me because you like me, like those book-boys,” your eyes fix on his face and it takes him all his self-control to not look at you or he knows he will straight up crash.
“Passenger princess huh? You like being that?” he quickly changes the topic as the air around him gets hotter. He makes a mental note to get his car's air conditioner checked. Maybe it is malfunctioning.
You nod lightly, eyes hazily fixed on him, making him grip the steering wheel as if his life depended on it and say, “You always call me that to tease me, the joke’s on you, girls love being called a ‘princess’.”
“Do you now?” the teasing edge returns to his voice, his cocky demeanour coming back instantly. “Most do,” you say softly and add, “I would hate it so much if you called someone else that though.” Minho doesn’t know how he kept his sanity after that sentence leaves he knows but he somehow brings you to your apartment and stands in front of the door.
“Password,” he asks, making you giggle and flirtingly pointing at his chest, “To your heart?”
“To your home,” he deadpans but can’t help a lovesick smile take over his face as he watches you cutely stumble to put it in. The low light of the hallway accentuates your features and he finds himself blaming the high of the night for wanting to grab your face and kiss you right then and there.
When the door finally unlocks he carefully holds you and walks inside as he finds himself spilling, “You don’t need to worry about the heart you have already got that unlocked.”
“Have I?” your eyes widen in anticipation as you sling your arms around his neck looking up at him and Minho swears he never saw as many stars in the night sky as he did in your eyes that night.
“Yes, the day I realised you were borderline tolerable, I knew I was screwed,” he whispers back, eyes fleeting between your lips and your eyes before he sighs panting lightly. He somehow makes you drink a glass of water and you plop down on the bed, pulling you with him but he stays upright making you pout. Mustering all his self-control he goes to find a change of clothes in your closet.
He waits outside patiently and after what feels like almost twenty minutes he hears the door unlock as he enters, your hair is ruffled, and your face is puffy and warm from all the alcohol yet Minho finds himself fighting all his demons to not press his lips to yours.
When you finally plop down on the bed he pulls up the duvet to your chin and sighs saying, “I find drunk confessions awful, but I am here swooning over shit like this, so yes, I am stupidly in love with you, I guess.” Your eyes light up even in the haze of alcohol and sleep overtaking your features and he finds himself resisting to kiss you for the third time that night.
“Remember it till morning, for me,” he whispers to you lightly and prays silently that you will, before turning off the lights and saying one last sentence, “Sleep, my princess.”

Thoughts on Chan going to see his physical therapist and his regular old guy therapist has a thing scheduled so he sends a replacement - a hot, young and capable replacement, and Chan finds himself popping a boner while the PT is pretzeling him, causing him temporary extreme pain and lasting pain relief right after? Assuming this new therapist is also vulnerable to Chan's charms, even if they aren't a Stay (yet).
Oh sweet lord I LOVE THIS IDEAAAAAA.
a/n: cliffhanger because this will definitely be a full story soon 🫡
MINORS DNI
PART TWO IS HERE
just relax - chan
Chan headed to his usual room. He made himself comfortable on the padded folding bed when he heard the door open.
"You won't believe the stupid thing I did, Doc. I was tryi-..." Chan's words lingered in his mouth.
You walked in with pink scrubs and a bright smile. Your dark hair tied loosely in a bun with small strands of hair falling lazily around your round cheeks. You weren't Chan's regular guy. He had never seen you before. You were... hot.
"Wh-Where's Dr. Weston?" Chan's voice was hoarse in his throat.
You gave a sympathetic smile. "He had a family emergency, so I'm covering all his patients. Shall we get started?"
You set your clipboard down and made your way to Chan who had changed his seating to an upright and respectful position. His heart was pounding through his ears like kettle drums. You cocked your head and gave him a curious look. You asked him to show you where it hurt. Your voice was soft.
"H-here." Chan motioned to his shoulder and hip.
You scanned his entire body and slowly ran your hands from the top of his shoulder down to his wrist. You searched his face for any sign of pain or discomfort.
"How does that feel?" You rubbed deep into his collar bone. Your fingers applying small amounts of pressure to where the muscle felt tightest.
Chan pressed his lips together into a thin line. He held his breath and nodded his head. Not exactly an answer, but the pain was beginning to prove to be more than he expected. You lifted your hands and instructed him to lay down. You wait for him to lay flat on his back. You ask him how his day has been and if he has plans later, while you lift his leg and bend it up towards his chest.
Chan watched as you lay your body on top of his bent leg, adding pressure to the stretch. Lightning bolts of pain shot up from his hip and screamed into the neurons of his brain. Nerve ends were desperately pleading for the stretch to stop but when Chan made eye contact with you, something else happened.
The longer Chan stared into your eyes, the more his cock began to grow. Just a twitch at first. But then you pushed deeper into him. The table creaked as you applied more of your weight onto Chan's bent leg. The pain was giving way to pleasure, a new pleasure, that his thin gym shorts were not going to be able to cover.
The outline of the tip of his cock was glaringly obvious as Chan's ears burned crimson red. Please don't look down, please don't look down. Chan kept repeating in his head. You grunted in frustration as you turned your head back towards his feet to see if you could get a better angle.
"Let's try the other leg." You layed Chan's leg down softly on the padded table and began to reach for the other leg when your eyes caught site of the growing appendage laying in front of you.
You looked up at Chan who had his face covered with both hands.

Chan has been acting strange lately. Not enough that you're worried, just a little bit suspicious. He's never tried to hide what tabs he has open on his phone before and he's looked deep in thought quite a few times, but when you ask what he's thinking of, he changes the topic quickly. You're curious, but trust that Chan will talk to you when he's ready. Still, you can't quite ignore all of the changes in behaviour.
It's the same tonight. When you look up during dinner, Chan's just stirring around the noodles in his plate, only taking a bite every so often. You frown, trying to think of if you've done anything differently to prepare the food in a way that he doesn't like, but it tastes the same to you as usual. You rule out a lack of appetite, as he had just commented that he was starving while you were cooking.
“Is everything okay?” you ask hesitantly, after a few more minutes have passed.
“What?” Chan looks up, startled by the sound of your voice. “Oh no, everything's fine! Just… thinking.”
“Is it about work? Did something happen?” You know that Chan has been busier than usual this month, the boys have some time off in a few weeks and everybody is scrambling to get things finished in the meantime. You've also requested vacation at work, although so far you and Chan haven't planned anything. In fact, he's been a little bit cagey when you've brought up the topic. You try not to think much of it and really, it's just nice to be able to spend extra time together.
Honestly, you wouldn't be surprised if Chan has found out that his break has been cut short or even cancelled. It's rare that they’re able to have more than a few days off at a time which is why you had been so shocked when Chan had let you know that they didn't have schedules for a period of almost three weeks.
It would provide an explanation to everything that you've observed the past few days, you know that he would try his best to fix things before he had to tell you the bad news.
“Well-”
“It's okay if you found out you can't take time off,” you reassure him. “I understand that it's all up to the company and sometimes they change their mind at the last minute. I can just let my work know and take my vacation another time, I'm sure they might even be happy if I'm still around next month.”
“No!” Chan says, his eyes wide in panic. “We still have time off! Don't worry about that. It's actually- How would you feel about visiting Australia with me?”
It's your turn to stare at Chan in shock.
“Australia?”
“Yeah, it's been a while since I went back and-” Chan breaks eye contact, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. “I thought it'd be nice if I could introduce you to my family, in person.”
“You want me to meet your family? In Australia?” you repeat, dumbly.
“Only if you feel comfortable!” Chan says hurriedly. “I looked into tickets, but didn't book anything yet so it's totally up to you. I also wanted to check if my family was available beforehand and it's pretty good timing actually. If you don't want to, then it's totally fine, I'll probably go for either way and I think Felix is also considering it. It's just that we've been together for a while now and I've met your family and I know that my mom basically considers you to be her daughter-”
“I want to go,” you interrupt, not wanting Chan to spiral further. “I was just surprised, I guess, but of course I want to accompany you.”
Chan brightens at that, then grabs his computer, unlocking it and opening up a spreadsheet. As it loads, he reaches for his chopsticks and takes a huge bite of food. You can't help but smile fondly at the sight of his cheeks bulging with food as he chews, relieved that his appetite is back.
“I didn’t want to get too far ahead of myself, but I was looking at flights, and I think that if we leave on a Tuesday, it might be best. It means we can enjoy the weekend here and still have time to pack everything,” he explains excitedly. “It'll be less busy at the airport too, which will be nice, and it works out well with my parents’ schedules anyway.”
You hum in acknowledgement, content to follow along and take mental notes as Chan reads out everything else that he's thought of so far. He continues planning for the rest of the evening, trailing behind you as you clean up and do your nightly routine, only stopping to help you when you do the dishes and put away the laundry. It's cute how animated he becomes, putting together a long list of all the sites and restaurants that he wants to show you.
You can tell that he's still thinking of it as the two of you curl up in bed that night, every so often you feel him jolt behind you and turn to reach for the little pad of paper and pencil that he often keeps on his nightstand.
Eventually, you turn over and squint at him. He doesn't even pretend to be asleep.
“Hi,” he whispers. “Sorry if I'm keeping you awake.”
“Sleep,” you murmur tiredly. “We have lots of time to plan, get some rest for now and we can talk more tomorrow.”
Chan starts to protest, but you just nuzzle closer, pulling his hands to wrap around you. As you drift off to sleep, you can feel that Chan has finally relaxed too.
—
The two of you spend the first day of break slowly, sleeping in and having a lazy meal of bibimbap from all the banchan taking up space in your fridge. You only venture out of the apartment for dinner, going to your favourite local restaurant that you visit so often that the owner starts making your meals the second that the two of you step through the door. The next couple of days are also easygoing, consisting of shopping, watching dramas, and eventually preparing for your trip.
Throughout the drive to the airport and making your way through security and to your gate, you can tell Chan's a bit on edge even though you and Felix try to assure him that everything will be fine. The three of you are in incognito mode, wearing hats, face masks, and plain clothes but Chan’s still scanning your surroundings the whole time. You, on the other hand, can't help but be excited, bouncing at his side so much that he loops his arm over your shoulders to try and calm you down. Felix is more relaxed and laughs at the stark contrast between the both of you, even filming parts of it since he’s getting footage for a vlog. Luckily you know that any content with you in it is likely to be edited out and don’t bother to hide your eagerness.
While Chan is used to travelling often for concerts and other overseas schedules, you've rarely visited places outside of Korea and have certainly never flown business class. You squeeze Chan's hand when you see your seats, thrilled at the idea of having so much leg room and a divider between the two of you that can also be fully lowered. It keeps you entertained for the whole time before the plane takes off, taking pictures together and reclining your seat up and down until the seatbelt sign turns on.
The flight is over 10 hours, so it doesn't take long before you move your attention to browsing the menu that's available and scrolling through all of the movies on the in-flight entertainment system. Shortly after the dinner meal is served, you start to doze off. Wanting to make the most of the experience, you insist to Chan that you'll be able to stay awake to watch another movie with him, but only make it through the first 30 minutes before you wake up to a dark screen.
You blink up blearily as a flight attendant starts making their way through the aisles, handing out customs forms for everyone to fill out. When you receive yours, you stare at it for a few seconds before realising the problem is not the fact that you're still adjusting to being awake.
“Oh no,” you whisper in horror, causing Chan to glance over at you, concerned.
“What happened?” he asks.
“I didn’t think about practising English before this trip,” you reply, distress leaking into your voice. “The last time that I wrote anything in English was when I was in secondary school… I'm not going to survive in Australia!”
“Hey, it's not an issue, I'll be with you the whole time! You don't have to worry about any of that. And you know enough conversational English to get by, I know you do,” Chan says soothingly.
You refuse to be comforted, burying your face into your hands.
“How am I going to face your parents when I barely know anything other than ‘hi, how are you?’” you moan. “I'm not even going to make it through customs! They're going to arrest me when I can't answer any of their questions!”
You know that you're exaggerating, but it makes Chan laugh so hard that tears gather in the corners of his eyes. You try to keep up your act, but end up dissolving into laughter too at the way that Chan is trying so hard to stay quiet, not wanting to bring attention to you two.
Contrary to your fears, you manage to deplane, get through customs, and collect your luggage without any major issues. You had a moment of anxiety when Chan and Felix split up from you since you have to go into the lineup for foreign passports, but you are somehow able to fumble your way through the conversation with the border officer without being detained.
Felix splits up with you shortly after, you see that his tiredness from the long flight melts away the second that he sees his family. He gives you and Chan both a quick hug to say goodbye before running out to meet them.
Chan lights up in a similar way when he finally spots his parents. They're waiting in the pick-up zone and waves the two of you over quickly. You barely get the chance to say hi before Chan’s mother is enveloping you into a hug.
“It’s so nice to finally meet you,” she says warmly. “Come on, let’s take you home.”
The drive is fairly short and it feels like no time at all before you’re approaching the house. The second that the front door opens, you hear a distinctive scrabble of claws against hardwood before Berry shoots towards Chan, tail wagging furiously. Chan immediately kneels down to give her better access, laughing when she stands on her hind legs to lick at his face.
Once she’s finished with that, she turns to you, barking curiously before moving closer. You stick out a hand for her to get an idea of your scent and try not to jump when you feel the cool, damp press of her nose against your palm. Whatever Berry smells, she approves of, giving you a few quick licks before running back to Chan.
“She’s so cute!” you exclaim, pulling out your phone so that you can take a picture of the reunion. You don't think that Chan even hears you, caught up in talking to Berry, giving her kisses and allowing her to do the same.
“I'll help you with your bags,” Chan's father says from beside you, easily lifting them out of your hands and motioning for you to enter the house. You exchange greetings with both of Chan's siblings as you remove your shoes, familiar with them through video calls and the one time that you met Hannah when she was travelling in Korea.
Chan’s family recently moved so this was also Chan’s first time seeing the house in person, the two of you trailing behind Chan’s father as he gave you a brief tour of the first floor before leading you upstairs. When you get to the guest room that you'll be staying in, Hannah pops her head in.
“Chris doesn’t spend enough time in Australia to have his own room in this house, so you guys are in this room.” She eyes you for a moment and based on the mischievous smile that’s growing, you can guess what she’s about to say. “Y/n, if you get sick of him, then feel free to stay with me instead!”
“Hey!” Chan complains, not even looking up from where he’s unpacking his bag. He grabs onto one of his shirts and chucks it at Hannah, but she easily dodges, throwing one of her slippers at him in retaliation. It hits Chan right in the chest and he looks at her in disbelief. He abandons his task in favour of chasing her throughout the house. You don't follow after, but you hear as their yelling and laughter echoes through the halls.
It’s refreshing to see Chan at home, no matter how comfortable Chan is with the rest of the kids, he’s still the leader of the group and the oldest member and the dynamic of their relationship reflects that. Even though it has barely been a few hours, you’re relieved to find that Chan has left behind the stresses of being an idol and can instead just be a son and an older brother.
His parents are hilarious and kind, it’s easy to see how Chan’s personality is a reflection of the environment that he was raised in. During dinner, you laugh at the way Chan pouts dramatically when Chan’s father pretends to forget about Chan when serving the food and how he groans in pleasure when he finally gets to taste his mother's cooking after so long. Hannah and Lucas continually crack jokes as you eat, especially if they're at Chan's expense and he pretends that he doesn't find them funny.
—
One afternoon you find Chan fiddling with the camera that he’s brought with him. You step up behind him, resting your chin on his shoulder and wrapping your arms around his waist.
“Are you planning on filming tonight?” you ask, knowing that Chan was always careful to alert everyone in the house beforehand.
“Not today,” he replies. “Probably tomorrow, when I take out Berry for her morning walk. Did you want to join?”
“Of course!”
“I was thinking of going right after breakfast, before it gets too hot out,” he says as he pulls out the camera battery and fits it into the charger.
“Anywhere in particular you wanted to go?”
“Mmm, maybe by the water? There's a path that's not too far away. I don't want anything that's too close to the house, you know?”
“Good idea.”
“Are you planning on putting it into a vlog?” you ask curiously. "You haven't been filming much.”
"Actually…”
“What? You're making me nervous.”
“I was hoping to use it for a music video,” Chan says sheepishly.
“What?! I'm not qualified for that!! I can't- you need to find someone else-”
“No no, it's going to be fine! It's for a record, not like, an actual music video.”
“I don't know,” you say, still feeling hesitant.
“I promise, I'm going for the casual vibes and it's either you or like, my eomma, and I guarantee that you would do a better job.”
“Okay,” you say reluctantly. “But I can't guarantee it'll come out well.”
“Thank you! I know it'll be great,” Chan says, showering you with kisses in gratitude until you're squirming away.
—
The next morning, Chan’s parents are out, leaving all the kids to prepare food on their own. It's a little chaotic, but you manage to cobble together a decent meal. It's a lot of fun to see how Chan and his siblings interact without their parents around to mediate. You're amazed by how similar the three are, not only in appearance but also the way they behave.
Although much younger, Lucas shares a strong resemblance to Chan, especially once he smiles and shows off matching dimples. They quickly disappear once Chan reaches out and musses up his hair playfully as you’re all cleaning up.
“Chris, stop it,” he complains, pushing his older brother away before trying to fix the strands that are all over the place. It only encourages Chan to move closer, wrapping his arms around his brother and lifting him into the air. When trying to wiggle free doesn’t work, he turns pleading eyes to you, knowing Hannah wouldn't step in to help. “Noona! Get him to let me down!”
The two of you had been awkward the first time you had been left alone, it hadn’t helped that Lucas’ Korean could be considered conversational at best and your English was significantly worse, but you had quickly grown close through attempts to tease Chan. Now, it’s easy to treat him like the little brother you never had.
You approach quickly, trying to avoid Lucas’ flailing limbs, and reach out to poke at Chan’s waist. He twitches away from your touch and when you persist in prodding at all his ticklish spots, unwinds one of his arms to swat at your hand.
The distraction is enough for Lucas to break away and he quickly moves out of reach. Instead of chasing after him, Chan turns his focus to you. You back away nervously, but find yourself with nowhere to go. Chan grabs you and easily slings you over your shoulder, ignoring your shrieks of protest.
“Betrayed by my own girlfriend? I should have known that introducing you to my siblings would just be asking for trouble,” he growls in your ear, sending shivers down your spine.
“Hey! Where are you taking me?” You look to see if his siblings are going to rescue you, but they must be trying to avoid Chan's wrath as you don't see either of them as Chan brings you up to the guest room.
“I am enlisting your help,” he says casually, as if he wasn't carrying you up a flight of stairs and dropping you on the bed. “I would like your advice on what to wear for Berry's walk.”
“Ooh,” you say. “Very important business then, I'm honoured that you would ask me.”
It doesn't actually take much time to get ready, the two of you change into clothes for the heat and you just have to convince Chan that he doesn't have to try to do his hair or makeup. The second that you mention to Berry that you're going for a walk, her tail starts wagging non-stop and she even fetches her leash and drops it in front of you.
Chan doesn't give you much direction for filming, just hands you the camera and tells you to capture whatever you want. The two of you walk hand in hand through the neighbourhood, Berry happily exploring the area. As you get further away from the house, you let go of Chan, motioning for him to continue walking as you turn on the camera and get used to it.
By the time you've reached the waterfront, you're feeling more confident and have a better idea of what you like. You try out different angles, feeling a little bit like paparazzi, and after a few minutes, even try directing Chan too. You let him keep going, wanting to see how far away he'll go before he realises that you're not following. He's almost a block away before he turns back.
“You’re smiling, did it come out okay?” Chan asks as he jogs back towards you.
“Yeah, it was great! I was just thinking that Stay are going to go crazy over this,” you tell him.
“They do really like it whenever they get to see Berry,” he says thoughtfully, picking her up and scratching her head. You burst out laughing at that and Chan frowns in response and goes as far as to cover Berry’s ears, insulted on her behalf. “What? Don’t laugh at that, it’s true! Berry is just so cute.”
“I’m not saying that they don’t like Berry, of course they do. I was more referring to the fact that the video is… domestic. Very boyfriend.”
“Ooh you think that's what Stay are interested in?” he asks. “What about this?”
He gestures for you to lift up the camera, and once you're recording, grabs your hand to pull you along behind him. You let out a small noise of surprise as he tugs on your arm, struggling slightly to keep everything steady and ensure your hand is out of frame. At your sound, Chan looks back slightly and bursts into laughter.
“So concentrated, you’re so cute,” he giggles.
“Of course,” you grumble. “I want it to turn out nice.”
“Thank you,” Chan says sincerely, no traces of laughter in his voice. “I really do appreciate it a lot that you're helping me with work even though we're on vacation.”
“Hmm,” you say, turning away from him. “You're just glad that you didn't have to ask Hannah, because she would make fun of you the whole time.”
“That's not true! I mean, it is true that Hannah would do that, but that's not the only reason.” Chan uses your connected hands and pulls you close. “I also wanted to spend time with my favourite person in the whole world.”
“You're lucky I love you so much,” you sniff, still pretending to be annoyed even though you've practically melted into Chan's hug. “Now stop getting distracted, I thought it would look nice if you walked along the sand and there's nobody there right now.”
—
The rest of your time in Sydney is a whirlwind of activities. Chan is determined to take you to all his favourite places in the city and you eat more food than you thought possible. Chan’s family, and sometimes Felix and his family, accompanies you two for a majority of the outings and your initial hesitance interacting with them is replaced by fondness, eased by the way that they treat you like one of their own.
You even have a chance to meet some of Chan’s childhood friends, ones that he kept close with despite the long distance. It feels strange to eat dinner with them. Although they do their best to make you feel welcome, they have a lot of history together and you find yourself struggling to keep up with their conversation, not just because of the language barrier but due to references to people, places, and events that you're unfamiliar with. Regardless, you're glad to finally know the people that Chan grew up with and you love seeing how happy Chan is to be reunited with them.
It’s also nice that while you're meeting so many people, you don't have to hide your relationship at all. In Korea, you and Chan are more careful in public. It’s not totally a secret that you’re dating, but you are more on the cautious side due to the popularity of Stray Kids and inevitable scrutiny from fans. In Australia, Chan has no such reservations, excitedly introducing you as his girlfriend to everyone. It never fails to make you blush, feeling shy, but secretly pleased.
Wherever you go, Chan keeps you close to his side, linking your hands or looping an arm around your shoulders. Throughout the day, he presses kisses to your head or cheek. The first time he does it, you look up at him questioningly. He just shrugs, saying that he’s happy and well, you can’t argue with that.
You don’t want your vacation to end and you know you're not the only one. You and Chan have both procrastinated packing your luggage until the last possible moment, and when you finally do begin, Berry seems to sense it. She starts hiding all of your things- Chan's family members finding them lodged in one of the couch cushions or in her dog bed- and curling up inside your suitcase, making it practically impossible to continue packing.
When Chan enters your shared room and pauses when he sees you staring into the suitcase helplessly. You wave him over so that he can look inside.
“She’s too cute! Look at that little face, how could you disturb her?” you ask.
Chan has no such reservations. He reaches in and gently lifts Berry out, cradling her against his chest so that she can’t jump back in.
“Berry, do you want to come to Korea with us?” he asks patiently. When she licks at his face in reply, he groans and pretends to lower her back into the suitcase. “Ah, I guess we have no choice but to bring you! I think we can sneak you in with the rest of the souvenirs that we’re taking with us.”
Despite Chan’s promises, Berry ends up staying behind, not even joining you on the drive to the airport. You’re lucky that you decide to leave well before your flight is expected to depart as you end up taking almost half an hour saying goodbye to everybody.
You know that you’re going to treasure these memories for a long time and you’re certain that Chan will too. It’s amazing that even though you were only in Australia for a couple weeks, it already feels like a second home.

FINE I'M HERE TO REQUEST PART 3!!! In which Chan better really GET that promotion!!!!!!! Contract signed, payroll amended!!!!!
You can make it angsty if you like, AS LONG AS you promise there will be a happy ending (in this part or........ Another 👀)
the one with chan and the promotion (iii)
you needed a ride home after getting your wisdom teeth removed. chan just so happened to be free. now, being free is the last thing he wants.
part i. part ii.
pairing: bang chan x reader au: fuck buddies to lovers, hurt/comfort type: drabble (angst, fluff) rating: 18+ | minors do not have my consent to interact with me and/or my content. wc: 3.1k cw: mad!chan makes a brief appearance but otherwise remains the best boy; gn!reader (no gendered language used); reader may or may not show some degree of emotional availability (gasp!); due to the nature of their relationship, sex is referenced but not actually depicted; very briefly/incompletely edited, oops. a/n: i love you completely and am so fucking sorry it took four (4) months for me to finish this 😵💫 i have an epilogue i can offer in penance, if you want it! everyone else, please read the first two parts before reading this!
Chan may be an idiot, but at least he’s self-aware.
He knew it was a bad idea to get his hopes up; to expect that things would change quickly between you, if at all. Even though he saw the letdown coming from a kilometer away, he didn’t do a thing to brace himself for it. It’s his fault, he knows, for exaggerating his place in your life — but that doesn’t make the disappointment bruise any less when the week after your wisdom teeth removal flies by in radio silence.
The lack of conversation isn’t for lack of trying. As he scrolls through your half-vacant text thread now, Chan feels all his efforts staring back at him. All those attempted check-ins marked delivered but not well-received. Swings and misses.
Prior to sending each one of them, he spent minutes upon minutes agonizing over the tone — and the use of emojis — and the possible implications of the proposed emojis — and the fear that he’d just come off clingy, not invested. Reading the finished versions back now, he can recall with perfect accuracy the drafts he typed out and immediately, feverishly deleted. Considering the way they litter his brain, there may as well be a trail of crumpled-up notes in all that metadata.
Does it make Chan cringe to look back and watch himself flatline? Absolutely.
Does that stop him from salting his own wounds? Nope. It never has and likely never will.
Maybe, he figures, he’ll spot where he went wrong and find a way to un-dig this ditch he’s seemingly made.
[Sent 2024/7/23, 15:22] Just got home. Have you fallen back asleep already? Lol
Naver says your swelling might be kind of bad tomorrow. Do you need ice packs? I have the gel kind that you can mold. Might be more comfortable than a bag of ice cubes 🤔 Lmk!

[Sent 2024/7/29, 00:16] Hey
Or maybe, he thinks, he’ll just beat his head against his bedroom wall instead; and eventually, he’ll forget what it felt like to be yours for the day, rather than a night.
Four more days pass without a word from you. Under normal circumstances, one of you would’ve invited the other over at least twice in the eleven days since your dental appointment. No matter how infrequently the two of you chatted outside of your recurrent trysts, neither one of you has ever gone this long without summoning the other.
Something is wrong.
At this point, Chan sees two explanations for the way you’ve fallen completely off the grid: you’ve either succumbed to some tragic, post-op. complication and died, or he’s irreparably fucked something up with you without knowing how or when he misstepped. Neither one of those is an outcome he’s willing to accept.
The voice in his head nags him so forcefully and consistently that his body eventually gives in. Undeterred by his better judgment, Chan lets it guide him up, out, and onward until he winds up on the sidewalk outside his building.
On the walk to your apartment, he mulls over the foreseeable consequences of the actions he’s already set in motion. It’s certifiably insane to pop in you like this, and once again, he only sees two options: you’ll slam the door in his face, or he’ll confirm once and for all that you’ve left this mortal coil. Bad on all counts, really, but anything is better than nothing.
His timing, as it turns out, couldn’t be better. Right as he lands at the front door, when he needs to think of a way to get in without buzzing you, a neighbor he’s seen once or twice before opens it to leave. Politely, they hold it open for him, likely mistaking him for someone with any right to be there — someone whose proximity to you actually makes sense. Chan thanks them with a nod of his head and a sheepish smile before slipping through the opening.
As the elevator ascends, his fingers move of their own accord, anxiously tapping out a rhythm on the stainless steel wall he leans against. Every worst-case scenario flashes through his mind. There’s a flash of something else there, too, though. Something even more nerve-wracking than all his catastrophizing; something that makes his stomach flip.
Hope.
“Oi, none of that,” he mutters to himself.
It doesn’t work. When Chan approaches the doors in the second before they open, he makes eye contact with his reflection and sees that easy, ill-advised smile creeping up on him.
As he exits that giant metal box, he shakes his head with an anxious laugh. If he’s this embarrassed by himself when he’s alone, the chances of him living through the way you’re about to look at him are…
Well…
Abysmal.
But that doesn’t stop him from powering his way down the hall towards your door. Coincidentally, neither does the fact that he doesn’t have a plan for what he’ll do when he reaches it.
Figuring knocking is as good a start as any, that’s precisely what Chan does, shifting his weight from one foot to the other to appear more nonchalant.
Then, he waits.
And then, he waits some more.
After thirty seconds pass without a response, Chan knocks again, carefully balancing the weight of his fist against it so the sound of it isn’t too assertive — or too eager — or too desperate — or —
“Left about an hour ago,” a voice says from a few meters away.
Chan turns towards the sound. Several units down, an old woman’s head pokes out of an open doorway. He can’t tell if she’s intentionally frowning at him or if it’s the weight of her jowls pulling the corners of her mouth down. Either way, it feels bad.
Running an anxious hand over the back of his increasingly warm neck, he coughs, “Oh?”
The ajumma clicks her tongue disapprovingly. “You young people never put those cell phones down and yet you still wind up like this.” She works herself up further; her nostrils flare as she rambles, “In my day, it was rude to show up unannounced. We called ahead, and when we called ahead, people were there to answer the door.”
Chan isn’t above arguing with some personified wrinkle, but he likes to think you would be. Even though you’re not here to witness it, it feels important to be the person you might like him to be.
So, he bites his tongue.
He nods yet again with a polite smile.
He turns on his heels.
And when he shuffles back towards the elevator, there’s a hell of a lot less of a spring in his step.
Two days go by after Chan’s little fieldtrip. Just like the previous several, they slip away quietly. This time, however, he doesn’t check-in — doesn’t type out his thoughts just to immediately erase them; doesn’t stare at his phone and wait to prove it to himself that it won’t chime.
Lesson learned, really.
It was a bad idea to bet the house on maybes. He knew it on the front end and still chose optimism; now, it serves him right. Played stupid games and won stupid prizes, as you like to say. If only he could stop thinking about what you like to say and instead focus on the fact that you haven’t said anything at all.
Chan grits his teeth and tries hard to focus on the game lighting up his monitor. Whatever Yongbok talked him into playing doesn’t make him feel any better about fumbling you — in fact, it’s proving to be yet another thing he’s terrible at — but it’s sufficiently distracting to have his friends swearing each other up and down in their Discord voice channel.
Actually, he stands corrected. This is also terrible, albeit a different flavor of garbage than his hopeless mooning over you.
Maybe radio silence is better.
As soon as that thought crosses his mind, his phone buzzes against the surface of his desk — three long taps bookended by three short ones.
Before Chan reaches for it, he lets the poetry of it all sink in. SOS, his phone declares whenever you text him. Originally, although he’ll never fucking tell you so, he chose that text tone because hearing from you salvaged his day, every time. Now, it reminds him that he’s in over his head with no life preserver in sight.
Not bad, he thinks. He should write that bit down in the notebook of lyrics he ruminates over but never puts to music, let alone shares.
The lack of action on his part prompts his phone to vibrate again for emphasis.
SOS!
Beaming white light bores into his retinas when he finally opens his inbox, and Chan refuses to think about the million times you’ve told him to switch to dark mode or the infinitely-brighter shit he’s been roasting under since he started this game several hours back. All he thinks about instead is the first grey text in an ocean of blue:
[2024/8/04, 23:37] you up?
You tilt your head to the side, smiling coyly when you crack open the door and find Chan standing on your doorstep with his hood up and hands in his pockets. Outside the windows behind you, the downpour he just trudged through continues to dampen his mood.
“Fancy meeting you here,” you lilt, like nothing has changed at all.
That’s the problem, isn’t it?
Chan lifts his chin slightly as some half-assed nod to let you know that his ears work, if nothing else. Either missing his stony expression or ignoring it, you simply open the door wider, beckoning him to follow you with a gentle wave of your free hand.
He wants so badly to smile back at you as easily as you smile at him — really, he does, but fuck, he can’t make his face do anything but harden.
Once he toes off his shoes, he expects you to lead him straight to your room — or your couch — or any of the other various surfaces the pair of you have misappropriated along the way. You don’t, though. With your lips pensively pursed, you shuffle a bit closer; and as soon as you can reach him properly, you raise both of your hands. One flattens against his now rain-soaked sweatshirt; the other goes for his zipper, tugging gently until there’s nothing left to hold him together.
Carefully, Chan eyes you; watches while you slip the fabric off his shoulders, as if it isn’t twice as heavy as it was when he put it on. Like it’s easy, you turn away, open the nearby closet, and toss that wet mess into the top-half of your standing washer-dryer.
“I think…” Your tiny, upward curve returns while your sentence peters out. Softly, you reach up and brush a damp curl off his forehead. “An umbrella would be a worthwhile investment.”
He should join in on the bit. He should banter right back. He should smile, too — for fuck’s sake — because you’re finally right here. You’re talking to him within touching distance, radiating warmth he wants to live in, and he should touch you the way you want to be touched — the way you summoned him here to touch you.
He should do a lot of things, none of which include snapping at you, and yet —
“Why the hell am I here?”
It catches you both off-guard. You, because Chan has never once spoken to you any other way but kindly. Him, because you don’t actually look all that surprised by the sentiment, even if the presentation isn’t what you expected.
Somehow, that’s the thing that stings the most; not the way your face falls at his gruffness but the inkling you must have had before you asked him over that things between you aren’t sitting right at all.
Chan doesn’t get a response, so he asks another way: “Did you notice all of those unanswered texts when you sent yours, or did you ignore them all over again?”
It dawns on you — and him too, if he’s being honest — that you’ve still got your hands resting delicately on his chest. You reel your arms back in and cross them, not defiantly but diminutively. You shrink right in front of him; and regret hits him like a fist to the side of his skull.
“I didn’t know what to do with them.” Your head lowers while you do your best to look anywhere else.
That’s —
“Bullshit. I’m sorry, but it’s really not hard to keep up a conversation, especially when someone is just asking how you’re feeling.” Instantly he feels terrible for snapping. Softening his tone slightly, he sighs, “I know you know how.”
You look up at him without tilting your head much at all. Peering over that brick wall of yours, he figures. “That’s the thing, though. I don’t know.”
The face he pulls must convey what he’s thinking: Are you fucking kidding me? But you’re quick to prevent him from jumping to any further-out conclusions, amending, “I don’t know how I feel.”
Chan opens his mouth to respond, then thinks better of it. It’s rare for you to open up to the extent you might be about to; and it’s a miracle that you might be willing to now, given the fact that he’s come at you blindly at 160 kilometers per hour.
“I don’t like needing people.”
Your attention is drawn to your fidgeting fingers and the drawstring of the sweatpants they occupy themselves with. The overwhelming urge he feels to grab them, to hold them still, goes ignored and makes his own hands tense. He focuses hard on your face instead; the crease between your eyebrows while you plot out your next steps.
“I didn’t want to need you, but then I did need you — and you just… you came, no questions asked.” You laugh, either despite your visible discomfort or because of it. “Held my hand and all that, didn’t just drop me on the curb and say, hit me up when you’re down again.”
Chan feels as if he’s been punched, although it’s not offense he takes from your statement. Judging by that flicker of hurt in your eyes, the expectation you had wasn’t for him, personally. It was history.
You shift where you stand from one foot to another, like that weight on your shoulders is changing. He doesn’t know if it’s getting heavier or lighter until you finally lift your chin to look at him squarely.
“It scared the shit out of me, honestly — how easy you are to need — so, I did what I always do: I bailed.” Sighing, you finally seem to register how much anxiety you’re holding in your hands. You drop it, then drop them to your sides. “But I think I’ve figured it out.”
You smile slightly, and suddenly, he feels lighter. “I’ve been conflating them, but they’re completely different things, aren’t they?”
Chan arches an eyebrow. Truly, he’s at a loss. He can’t predict which direction you’re about to turn in. Seeming to sense this, you answer his unasked question, “Wanting to need you and wanting you.”
While this makes his brain pause, his body moves. Cautiously, he steps forward and watches you counter him until your back is flush against the wall behind you.
“Can I have a definition, then, please?” He pleads, voice low, while his hands gently claim your hips. “Because I thought it was want behind the booty call that brought me here, and I don’t want to find myself on a completely different page again.”
You link your arms around his neck and eye him carefully. “It was,” you acknowledge with a small nod. “Different kind, though — a shallow one.”
Chan finds his mouth curving up at the corner, all on its own. His gaze drops from yours to your lips, then back again. It’d be so easy to kiss you now, but he can’t unless he gets some sort of confirmation. “We’re in the deep end now, then?”
“Moving that way, at least. I spook easily, though…” You’d probably love nothing more than to look away when you admit that bit out loud, but to your credit, you don’t. Instead, you run your fingernails softly through the hair at his nape. “I’m not entitled to any more of your patience, but would you be willing to take it one day at a time?”
Chan wishes that he’d at least pretended to consider this. He doubts you’ve ever had a vision of him as someone nonchalant — in fact, he’s the poster boy for chalance in whichever reality that word exists — but it would’ve been infinitely cooler of him not to respond immediately and wholeheartedly with a rushed sigh, “Fuckin’ right, I am,” before leaning in to kiss you absolutely stupid.
Whatever gratification he can’t find by licking into the mouth you open eagerly for him, he finds in the way you keen when he presses his body more fully against yours. The payoff is even better when he stops short, divorcing your respective lips entirely.
“I’m not gonna fuck you,” he announces, breathless. His grin widens; meanwhile, your eyebrows shoot up your forehead. “No! Not, like, never — I don’t have that kind of resolve — but not tonight.”
The sudden switch makes you dizzy. Thankfully, it makes you laugh, too.
“Don’t tell me you just want to enjoy my company,” you warn. You attempt to say it earnestly, but a smile cracks you wide open. “I’m still too prone to bolt when I hear cute shit like that.”
Chan shakes his head. “No, I’m telling you to plant yourself on that couch —” He pulls his right hand off your left hip and gestures blindly over his shoulder. “I’m also telling you that I am getting takeout.”
You narrow your eyes in feigned suspicion. “I wonder what you could possibly be ordering.”
“Belated pork belly is better than no pork belly.” He narrows his eyes to mirror hours, then kisses you quickly, murmuring, “One for the road,” against your lips.
Then, he dashes off towards your front door. As he goes, he just barely catches you nagging him through your laughter:
“If you’re not going to wait for your sweatshirt, can you at least take an umbrella?”

Your eyelids flutter as the music in the car fades into static. It returns to normal, but still occasionally crackles as you drive home. Your head lulls to the side to look at Hyunjin, in the driver’s seat, humming along to the song. He steers with one hand and the other is linked with yours on the center console. You had started the day together with a cozy breakfast date and are now heading back home. You yawn, and Hyunjin glances at you with a soft smile.
“Hey.”
“Hey.”
“We’re almost home.”
“Mhm.”
Your attention is drawn to the windshield as something plunks hard against the glass. A moment later, another fat drop of rain falls. They soon begin to fall in succession, thudding on the roof and blurring your view. Hyunjin sighs and activates the wipers.
“What’s wrong?”
“I was really hoping we would beat it.”
“It’s only rain, Hyune.”
“It’s pouring,” He whines, “Plus it makes everything so gloomy.”
You laugh and give his hand a reassuring squeeze. When you arrive on your street he pulls up so your side is closest to the curb. You take the opportunity to detach your hand from his when he shifts the car into park. He sighs again, gazing with longing through the bleary window at your shared home.
“Should we wait it out?”
You shake your head.
“Baby, it’s just rain”
Hyunjin slumps dramatically in his seat, pouting at you as you smile sympathetically.
“It’s cold, and wet. I don’t want to get wet.”
You peer out the windshield at the bright sun breaking through the clouds. It was only a sunshower, and would pass soon enough.
“It’s not too bad.”
You share a look as he huffs and crosses his arms. You roll your eyes playfully and unbuckle your seatbelt.
“Stay here, I’ll be right back.”
“What? You can’t abandon me!”
You step out of the car without hesitation and the rain immediately cascades over you. You lean in the open door to reply and let the rain drench you as Hyunjin reaches out to you weakly.
“Calm down, I’m going to get you an umbrella.”
“Noo…”
You laugh and step away as he lets his hand drop into the passenger seat. You leave the door open as you have a stretch. The sun warms you despite the heavy downpour and you take a moment to enjoy it. The radio sings out of the open door while you do a small spin and bask under the rain.
“You look like you’re having fun!” Hyunjin calls out.
“It feels nice!”
You wander out to the quiet street, mindful of traffic as you splash through the quickly forming puddles. You do another spin and when you turn hear the driver’s door being slammed shut. You grin as Hyunjin jogs over to you, swiping his long hair out of his face as he closes the distance. You decide to splash him with water as he catches up.
“Hey!”
You laugh and turn to run, then yelp when he grabs you from behind and swings you off your feet.
“Come here, trouble.”
“Hyunjin!”
He guides you back to the sidewalk as you teasingly ask:
“I thought you didn’t want to get wet?”
“You made it look fun.”
“Did I?”
You loop your arms over his shoulders and tilt your head as he pulls you in. Music is still playing from the idling car. You are both silent for a moment, studying each other’s expressions and listening to the popular love song pouring out from the speakers. He smiles and bumps his forehead against yours as rain continues to pour over you both. You giggle and let him rock you as you melt in his arms.
“I like this song,” He murmurs.
“Me too.”
You shut your eyes and hum as he reaches up to swipe away wet hairs clinging to your face. He pets your cheek with his thumb and leads you into a slow dance. You rest your head on his shoulder and sigh happily as he sways you in his arms.
“Love?”
“Hm?”
Hyunjin gently cups the nape of your neck as you lift your head. His gaze is tender as you open your eyes and smile at him. This smile only widens when he begins moving in, and presses a gentle kiss to your lips. You stay like this, sharing kisses in the rain, until you naturally separate. He holds your cheek and gives you an eye-crinkling smile before he speaks.
“Let’s go inside, hm? I don’t want you to get sick.”
“Okay…”
He leads you to the house as he begins searching his pockets for his keys.
“Hyune, the car?”
“Oh, right!”
You laugh as he runs away, then scrambles to turn off the car and grab his keys through the passenger’s door. You wait for him to close and lock the car while fondly shaking your head. He unlocks the front door to your home and ushers you inside as he pecks the side of your head.
“y/n?”
“Yeah,” You reply as you shuck off your soaked shoes.
When you straighten up Hyunjin is still standing in the open doorway, sunny rain pouring behind him.
“You make everything brighter, you know that? I love you.”
“I love you too, Hyunjin.”

-----
The library study rooms were supposed to stay peaceful and quiet, and when you were working alone or with almost anyone else, they were.
But not with Felix.
“You’re impossible.” You scoffed. “You know, yours doesn’t make sense either.”
You knew the piece of the project he’d put together was brilliant, maybe better than yours, although you’d never admit it. But after he’d torn your piece to shreds, nitpicking every subpar word choice and questionable rhetorical decision, you had some anger towards him.
“It’s great, you know that.” He crossed his arms, leaning back in his seat, wearing a cocky grin. “Just because you’re not as good at this as I am doesn’t mean you have to be bitter.”
“I’m not being bitter. And you are not better than me at this, stop acting all superior.”
“I am better than you.” He laughed, a sound that sent butterflies though your whole body. “I’m gonna get you to admit it one day.”
“Never.” You said firmly.
It was quiet for a moment.
“I have a proposition.” Felix said abruptly.
“Oh?”
“If I can get you to admit I’m better by the time we leave this room, I get complete control over the project. And if you don’t, you get complete control over the project.”
You laughed. “Done.”
He leaned over the table to you. “You’re gonna regret that.”
You grinned. “Make me.”
His hand found yours, his thumb brushing across your knuckles. “I bet I can.”
Your eyes stayed on the motion of his fingers, the sensation of his skin on yours electric. “And what methods do you plan to use?”
His hand stilled. “Can I kiss you?”
You almost fell out of your chair. “Kiss me? I mean, yes, absolutely, please, but you want to kiss me?” You babbled.
“I mean… I’d be lying if I said no.”
“That is the definition of ‘yes’.”
“Smart aleck.”
“Says you.”
In lieu of a response, Felix’s fingers laced with yours, and he pushed you into a kiss.
You hadn’t kissed many people, but you knew this was different. Felix kissed you like he hated you, pushing you, his teeth scraping at your lower lip. He pulled sounds out of you that were, quite frankly, embarrassing, but you didn’t care, lost in him. Your spark of animosity was transforming into a smoldering flame, and you were dry wood, ready to burn.
Except you were wet; you were very wet.
Felix abruptly pulled away from you, and you whined in confusion. “Where are you going?”
He stood up, pulling you up by your hand, and pushed you up against the wall. “I’m not goin’ anywhere.” He whispered in your ear before kissing you again, his body pressing against yours, still holding your hand.
You could feel him growing hard against your leg as he kissed you. His other hand captured your other hand, pinning it to the wall by your head.
“Fuck.” He panted as he pulled away. “This is a bad idea.”
“Yeah.” You whispered back. “But don’t stop.”
“Oh, I’m not gonna stop.” His lips met yours again, and you moaned into his mouth. His hips pushed into you, and you got a little louder, fighting the urge to ask him—beg him, if need be—to fuck you.
His hands found their way down to your waist. “Can I touch you here?”
“Mhm.” You whimpered. “Please.”
“Look at you, begging so pretty.” His hands moved across your lower stomach and back under your shirt.
“God, Felix. Can you go lower?”
“Lower?” His hands cautiously found your hips. You involuntarily pushed into him, and he let out a low moan. “Fuck.”
“More.” You whispered, closing your eyes.
“More?” Felix’s fingers traced patterns on your thighs, and you let your legs open a bit, sliding down on the wall.
“Fuck me.” You whispered, barely audibly.
“You want me to fuck you?” Felix asked softly.
“Yeah.” You opened your eyes, looking into his. “If you’re… I don’t want to push you.”
“God, I’ve wanted to for… since I met you.” He whispered, and was that… affection in his eyes?
“Then do it.” You swallowed. “I really want you to do it.”
Your biggest rival fucking you in a library study room… it was objectively a very bad idea. But you didn’t care. You wanted him.
He looked at you intently. “Okay. I will. But let me know if you want me to stop, and I will, no questions asked.”
You nodded. “Okay.”
He checked that the blinds to the room’s windows were shut and that the door was locked, and walked back over to you, still leaning against the wall.
“Okay, baby, take off your pants, and we’ll start.” His voice was low, dripping with desire.
You couldn’t get them off fast enough.
He let out a low whistle looking at you. “Fuck, baby, you’re so pretty.”
Another thrill went through you. “I’m ready for you, Felix.”
He smirked. “I’ll fuck you if you admit I’m better.”
“Oh, that’s cheating. My pants are already off.”
“We didn’t discuss this when we made our deal, therefore, it’s fair game.”
“Dick.” You muttered, rolling your eyes. “You’re better.”
His smirk grew. “I’ll take it, for now.” He unzipped his own pants and pulled out his cock, already hard. You swallowed, eyes glued to it.
He spread your legs a little wider, lining up with your entrance. “Ready?”
“Yeah.” You breathed.
He slowly pushed into you. It felt like the breath was pushed from your lungs with each motion of his hips. The stretch was slightly painful, but the pleasure was enough that you didn’t even care.
Once he was fully inside you, Felix groaned. “Fuck, baby, you’re so tight. So good.” He pushed you a bit tighter against the wall and picked up your legs, wrapping them around his waist.
“Godddddd.” You drew out the sound, feeling him move inside you as you as he adjusted your position. “Fuck me, Felix.”
“Admit I’m better, like you mean it this time.”
“Fuck you.” You rolled your eyes.
Felix thrust into you harshly, and your eyes rolled back as you let out a noise. “Like I said, like you mean it.”
“You’re better,” You moaned, and he began to fuck you, slowly.
“More.”
“You’re the better student, you’re smarter than me, you’re gonna fuck me dumb, Felix.”
He picked up the pace as you spoke, so you kept talking, trying to provoke him into going faster and faster.
“You’re better, you’re better, you’re fucking all the thoughts out of my head, Felix, you feel so good inside me,” You panted. “Fuck, Felix, keep going.”
“That’s it, baby, I’m gonna do exactly that, I’m gonna fuck all the thoughts out of that pretty head.” He suddenly kissed you with the same harshness with which he fucked you. As he pulled away, he murmured against your lips, “I’d fuck the words outta your mouth, too, if you’ll let me.”
You moaned. “Fuck. Next time.”
“Next time?”
“Next time.”
“Fuck, baby.” He whispered, fucking you faster. “Maybe I should fuck you against the window, make you scream that I’m better. Make sure everyone hears, everyone knows.”
“You have some kind of god complex.”
“Yep.”
He kept fucking you and you kept mumbling his praises so he’d keep going quickly, and it didn’t take long for you to know you were approaching your climax.
“Felix, I’m gonna come.” You panted.
His hips stuttered. “Fuck, baby, I’m gonna come, too.”
You drew closer and closer to the cliff’s edge, and as he pushed up into you in a hard thrust, you fell over, your eyelids fluttering as you came.
And then you were full, you were so full, as Felix came, too, grunting as he kept himself to the hilt inside you.
A few moments later, he lowered your legs to the floor and gently pulled out. Your knees buckled almost immediately, and he caught you, helping you to one of the chairs in the room.
“God, Felix, that was… good.” You pushed your hair out of your flushed face, looking up at him.
“You admitted it.” He smiled, zipping up his pants. “That I’m better.”
“Was that all it meant to you?” You grinned, mostly joking.
“No.” He said softly.
“Oh.” You tilted your head.
He suddenly looked away. “Y/n… do you want to go on a date?”
“A date?” Your smile softened. “Yeah, I’d like that.”
“Okay.” He looked back at you. “But I still get to be in charge of the project.”
You sighed. “We did make a deal.”

੭ㅤ𝅄ㅤ ꒰ BANG CHAN ꒱
Chan opens the door to the apartment and says, “I am back,” in a sweet manner and an adorable grin, only for everything to go futile. He doesn’t hear you answer him making him tilt his head in confusion. He looks around and notices a dim light from the bedroom door despite the dark living room.
It is too early for you to be sleeping!
He keeps his bags down and walks towards the bedroom slowly prying the door open and a gasp leaves his mouth at the adorable scene that unfolds in front of him. You, lying on the bed, eyes closed and soft snores leaving your mouth and a half-done crochet top in your hands.
He walks towards you slowly, and gently removes your fingers off the pastel green material, giggling at how cute the sweater looks and then looks at you. He circles his arms around your waist trying to get you to a sleeping position but that gets you up as you jerk up.
“Woah, okay love, slow down," he replies and you stare at him, still in a bit of a haze as he coos at you, “Let’s get you to sleep, my crocheting star.”
“Mhm, good idea,” you whisper making him stare at you with half-moon eyes before a full-blown smile etches his face and he pulls you closer to get comfortable.
੭ㅤ𝅄ㅤ ꒰ LEE MINHO ꒱
Minho comes back home and his eyes narrow at his two cats sitting on the floor with crocheted cat sweaters on them. They nuzzle against his ankles and he crouches down and pats their heads saying, “Where’s Doongie?” Where is his third cat anyway?
“I can’t believe you come home and the first thing you ask for is Doongie and not the person who made those?” you fake-scoff making Minho turn in his heels and look at you holding Doongie, who is happily nuzzling against your arms. He purrs lightly in his sage green clothing and on top of it stays in your arms when Minho tries to take him.
“Someone appreciates this, at least,” you smile making Minho roll his eyes affectionately. He gently pries Doongie off your arms and places a chaste kiss on your lips saying, “Yeah, but I love you so that makes up for everything.”
“Hm, does it?” you tease but kiss him back as his head leans against yours and he holds your waist, stroking gentle lines against it. As you part away you watch him take out his phone and take pictures of his three cats before sending it to his friends.
“They look so cute,” he giggles looking at the matching and adorable sweaters and then turns to you, “You’re so cute.” “And you’re cheesy,” you giggle as he laughs along with you in the quiet home.
੭ㅤ𝅄ㅤ ꒰ SEO CHANGBIN ꒱
Changbin enters the apartment after his evening gym routine only to find it oddly quiet. He looks around and spots the muted T.V. and you lying down on the couch with a half-done crochet top in your hands.
He smiles at your adorable figure with an equally adorable piece in your hand before he walks up to you and sits beside you. Closing down the show, he picks out his phone and clicks a picture of you. His giggles are what wakes you up and you blink before getting up.
Rubbing your eyes you ask, “Binnie, when did you get here?” “Long enough to see you sleeping with that and take the cutest pictures in the world. I might win a Guinness World Record for capturing the cutest person.” You slap his arm and he laughs as you look down at the half-made top in your hands and feel the tiredness taking over.
Putting your head on his shoulder as he rounds his arm around your figure asking, “Tired?” “Yes, gonna finish this tomorrow,” you yawn halfway through your sentence and he replies, “Okay cutie, let’s so sleep.”
੭ㅤ𝅄ㅤ ꒰ HWANG HYUNJIN ꒱
“Hyunjin, Hyunjin, Hyunjin,” you jump around excitedly as soon as he enters the room and looks at you, a small smile etching his face at your sight. You are wearing a fluffy crochet cap, is that what it is called, Hyunjin wonders and a piece of crochet material is lying on the table in front of you.
His loose clothes on your body makes him giggle as you happily bounce towards him saying, “Look what I made.” His eyes land on the hat and the pale colour and intricate designs and he says, “It’s adorable!”
“I know, right?” you jump and he holds you and kisses your lips lightly making you calm down. “Let’s take some pictures,” you nod happily at his idea before you two pose for the camera and take them at weird angles just to get a good laugh.
੭ㅤ𝅄ㅤ ꒰ HAN JISUNG ꒱
“Baby, this is hard,” Jisung’s whine doesn’t go unnoticed by you as you finish the sweater you were making and grin at him. “That is because you are new at it,” you say making him pout more.
He tries for a good fifteen minutes before slumping back on the couch and keeping the crochet hook and yarn down. “Woah, did I finally find something Han Jisung, our ace, is bad at?” you giggle as he glares at you.
“I am not bad, I simply don’t have the patience right now,” he replies making you shrug, “Same difference.” You laugh loudly as he pounces on your body, tickling you, god knows how he found your weirdest tickle spots too, making you squirm and apologise at his giggly face.
Needless to say, a week later Jisung pops into your work-room with a smirk on his face and a fully crocheted sweater in his hands with the most intricate design as you stare in awe. “Told ya,” he says with a smug smile as you stare at it dumbfounded. He truly is an ace.
੭ㅤ𝅄ㅤ ꒰ LEE FELIX ꒱
Felix tiptoes into your room to surprise you after work but the scene takes him by surprise instead. He chuckles lightly at you, currently asleep with a plushie beside you and a crochet piece on your lap. Fishing out his phone he quickly takes some pictures and then wakes you up to make you sleep properly.
The next morning you wake up to a smiley Felix as you stretch lightly and ask, “Why are so shining before the sun baby?” “Because of you,” he replies making you snort, “Cheesy ass.”
“I took some interesting pictures yesterday,” he whispers before reaching out for it and you blink trying to adjust to the light. You look beside at his cheeky grin and a picture of you sleeping which is clearly from last night making you gasp. Holy shit! You are drooling there and that picture is literally his homescreen? Is he out of his mind?
“Lee Yongbok, you will remove that from your home screen right now,” you say, trying to climb over him in vain as he pouts, “What no, you look so cute.” “I am drooling,” you reason, eyes moving frantically and he kisses you before you burst into palpitations saying, “Yeah that is why it is only for my eyes to see love.”
੭ㅤ𝅄ㅤ ꒰ KIM SEUNGMIN ꒱
Seungmin enters the building and reaches the apartment putting in the lock-code. He looks around in confusion as the empty living room greets him and your abandoned slippers lie on the floor. “Y/n?” he calls once before his eyes land on the dim light coming from the bedroom door.
Walking towards it he looks inside as he watches you sleep with a small crochet top half-done. He chuckles lightly as he watches a bit of drool around the corner of your lips. Softly sitting down on the bed, he leans to the side and strokes his fingers over your cheek. You hum in your sleep leaning into his touch making him look at you endearingly.
He shakes you lightly and the movement makes you open your eyes, a hazy vision of Seungmin’s face and you stifle a yawn saying, “Hi.” “Crocheting?” he asks, in a soft and quiet tone and you murmur ‘yes’ and tilt your head against his shoulder as he wraps an arm around your waist easily.
“Keeping this aside for tomorrow,” he murmurs to mostly himself as he shuffles around in the bed, your light snores reaching his ears. He holds you and your head nuzzles against his neck as you two get into a comfortable nap.
੭ㅤ𝅄ㅤ ꒰ YANG JEONGIN ꒱
“Never making stuff with you ever again,” Jeongin complains making you roll your eyes at him. All this drama is because of a crochet hook. “I would rather die than crochet,” he continues and you sigh, there he goes again!
“Yang Jeongin you are insufferable,” you whisper lightly tapping his cheek as he narrows his eyes and says, “How are you doing it anyway?” “By having patience and not sighing with every minor inconvenience,” your snarky reply makes him grin and say, “Well there is my talented person.”
“Buttering me into completing yours won’t work,” you exclaim and he promptly replies, “How about a nice little date with greasy popcorn and cheesy rom-com?”
“Keep talking, it might be working,” you reply and he takes the opportunity to slide his arms around you saying, “All for my pretty baby.” “A kiss on lips and sold,” you whisper making him peck you immediately and you giggle, “Fine we can do this later.”
He enthusiastically puts the items away before running to bring popcorn as you select a show.

note: sorry this took so long anon!! life has been a whirlwind recently and i had to step back and put my big boy adult pants on. this prompt had me very excited, so i hope you enjoy my writing. this is my second time writing a request for skz <3
summary: changbin sitting shirtless in your apartment is free reign, especially after a good meal.
both of you were still getting used to living together. the domesticity felt like a warm and safe blanket, giving you the kind of life you’d only dreamed of before meeting changbin. though he was often pulled left and right for schedules and the looming thought of his upcoming tour towered over both your heads—nothing could erase how either of you felt when he came home at night.
you heard the familiar noise of the front door unlocking before you saw him. getting up from the couch, your feet carried you out of the living room and to the hallway. even with his dark curls covering his eyes and his black mask covering the lower half of his face, you’d recognize changbin anywhere.
“welcome home, bunny! how was work?” you asked, though you’d gotten used to hearing the same sort of answer every night. “mmm.. it was alright, but changbinnie missed you!” he spoke cutely while referring to himself, which let you know his day was the least of his worries. large arms wrapped around you, securing you in a hold you’d missed for most of the day. with your head against his chest, you could breathe changbin in and sigh in satisfaction.
he pouted once you let go, but found himself content once he’d clung to you from behind. this way, you could use your hands for whatever you needed, while still providing changbin the contact that he’d been craving from you while he was gone.
with his chin nudging at your shoulder, you walked to the kitchen. as you’d reached the counter, changbin’s hands made contact with your hips. he spun you around so that you’d face him without using any real strength at all. changbin’s face mask had been pulled under his chin, showing you the features that you loved so dearly. he’d even brushed his bangs out of his eyes, allowing you to see him fully.
if actions truly did speak louder than words, his gaze was proof enough that the man loved you wholeheartedly.
one step was all it took to close the distance between you and your boyfriend. his right hand reached to the side of your face, using his fingers to push back a strand of hair behind your ear. his other hand rested on your hip, holding you steadily. “tell me about your day, baby. did you miss me too?” changbin smiled, before placing a soft kiss on your chin—almost like a way of encouraging the words to fall from your lips.
“it was pretty quiet. rain cancelled our plans, so i stayed at home for most of the day.”
your lack of answering his second question caused changbin to pout. he pressed himself closer to you, nosing at your neck before leaving a gentle kiss on the skin there. you giggled, unable to tease him for too long considering he was so cute. “of course i missed you, bin. you know i always do.”
though he tried to hide his reaction by burying his head into your neck, you could see the tips of his ears turning red. there your boyfriend was, in all of his bashful glory.
“i’m sure there’s something else you miss, other than me.” you teased once again, though changbin found himself out of the loop. “hm..? what do you mean?” he asked, pulling away from you to stand straighter. suddenly, his eyes lowered on your figure, a half smirk forming on his face.
“..not that, mister. you’re dirty.” changbin whined in protest, pouting even harder than before to the point he emphasized his softer jowls. “tell meeeee!” his volume increased from before, though he wasn’t particularly yelling at you. changbin tended to be loud, and that was that.
“my cooking, silly—i made you dinner! creamy bacon carbonara with pork katsu on the side, you’re going to love it! i think i went to heaven and back after eating it myself.” you giggled.
though he never explicitly said it, you knew food was one of changbin’s love languages. the noises and expressions he’d make while eating was enough evidence that food was the quickest way to his heart. eating always seemed to bring him happiness, whether it was during the months he’d be dieting for comebacks or bulking during breaks.
as you put on a pair of oven mitts and pulled the dish out of the oven, you remembered how proud of yourself you were when you first sampled the food. cooking for yourself and changbin was a great excuse to improve your skills. you knew that if you’d found it good, your boyfriend would find it even better.
“oh my gosh.. i think my heart just started beating like crazy.” changbin joked, though the statement definitely held some truth to it. he watched over your shoulder as you reheated and plated the food for him, his hands gently rubbing your sides. a dangerous shiver went down your spine, but that was for later.
“here, why don’t i set the living room up for a movie while you go change into your pajamas?” you offered, turning your head to look at changbin. he frantically nodded, more motivated to quickly change by the prospect of dinner, a movie, and you waiting for him.
when he returned, changbin looked more comfortable. his pajamas always consisted of shorts, so the sight of his thicker thighs wasn’t new (but highly appreciated). however, the shirt he’d been wearing seemed to fit him deliciously (also highly appreciated). it must’ve been an older one, considering the way it clung to his larger chest and left little to imagine around the curve of his belly.
god, your boyfriend’s body drives you crazy.
“every time i see you, i just remember how lucky i am.” you mumbled, not really expecting changbin to respond since you’d sounded so cheesy. thankfully, cheesy didn’t exist when it came to you. had you been one of the members though, he surely would have cringed.
instead, changbin found himself gently swatting at you. “this food already has my heart beating out of my chest, don’t make it worse!” he chided playfully, though the blush creeping onto his cheeks told a different story.
once he sat beside you, changbin immediately pressed a kiss to your cheek, then your lips. “thank you, baby. it smells delicious!”
and with that, changbin ate.
he shoveled bite after bite of pasta past his lips, along with the crispy pieces of pork katsu. you cooed every now and then as he worked through his plate, subconsciously finding yourself praising him for eating so well. a healthy appetite had never made you this happy—at least, not until you’d fallen in love with changbin.
the movie you’d put on didn’t hold either of your attention. while changbin was focused on the flavors of each bite, you were content with watching him eat. his cheeks were fuller, and there was a shine to his lips from the amount of times he’d bitten them while eating. you found the habit cute, and you knew if you’d pointed it out, he’d grow flustered.
“someone’s eating well.” you teased, as one of your hands moved to rest on the curve of his belly. rubbing gently through the fabric, you could tell he was getting full. the flesh of his stomach was usually soft and pliant under your touch, but neither could be said for the firm mound underneath your fingertips. changbin dreamily sighed at your touch, before setting his fork down and leaning back against the couch cushions.
“oh.. i definitely ate too much.”
you quirked an eyebrow, having taken changbin’s statement as an invitation. your hand snuck under his shirt gently as you moved closer to him, continuing your ministrations without the fabric between you and his skin. every time your fingers made contact with his skin, changbin had goosebumps and butterflies. your hands knew his body no more or less than your own.
your fingertips danced across his skin like feathers, causing changbin to giggle. however, just as you’d begun to pull back, changbin had reached behind his head to pull off his shirt. once it’’d been removed, you were left dumbfounded. you would never get used to how good he looked or the fact that he was all yours. when you looked up from his torso and caught his gaze, two hopeful eyes stared back at you expectantly.
“can.. can you keep going? don’t want you to stop..” changbin shyly admitted, turning his head away from you to hide his burning cheeks. you cooed, finding his demeanor cute.
underneath his rapper persona and his confident personality, changbin was more soft and gentle than expected. the members knew it of course, but especially you.
“of course, bunny. anything for you.” you purred, nuzzling your head against the side of his larger shoulder. changbin softly sighed again, relaxing against you just the same. the movie had finished by now, and neither of you could explain what happened no matter how hard you tried.
changbin sitting shirtless in your apartment was free reign, especially after a good meal.

seonghwa is worlds away from you. breaking up with him has become the best, and only, option left.
seonghwa x non-idol!reader
wc: 1.1k
warnings: angst, breaking up, crying, heartbreak, insecurities, talk about tour and being an idol, pet names (star, my love)
as i sit on the edge of our bed waiting for seonghwa to come home, i think about all the memories we had together. the good, bad and ugly. the laughter, the tears and arguments, the kisses and 'i love you's. i sit and reminisce on when we first met, when we first started dating, our first kiss, and every other little moment i spent with seonghwa. and now i have to think about what i'm going to say when he walks through that door and i have to explain to him that i'm leaving.
i hear seonghwa open the front door and then the bedroom door. i stayed unmoving on the edge of our shared bed and silently watched him. he had his bags in his hands from their tour, similar to my bags packed beside me. seonghwa looked up at me and we made silent, knowing eye contact for what felt like hours. no one moved, no one said anything, the only sound in the room was the busy street outside. that was until seonghwa broke eye contact to put his bags down on the floor with a heavy sigh. i continue to stare at seonghwa and couldn't help the tears that welled up in my eyes, but i'll be damned if i let them fall this early.
"it seems like we need to talk." seonghwa said but he spoke towards the ground. you could hear the strain in his voice but you weren't sure if it was from his tour or if he was trying to hold back a heart-shattering sob.
"i don't know what you want me to say, seonghwa," i look into his eyes that refused to look back at mine, "it's time for me to go."
"but it doesn't have to be" seonghwa answered back quickly and desperately. his eyes glancing between my folded hands in my lap to my packed bags at the end of our bed. i stayed quiet, wanting to see if he would add anything else; if he would beg me to stay. but seonghwa didn’t speak up again.
“please don’t make this more difficult than it has to be” i say softly. i knew breaking up with seonghwa wasn't going to be easy, but his silent desperation was eating me alive.
“then let's stop all of this. here, i'll help you unpack.” seonghwa still refused to meet my eyes as he grabbed my luggage, opened it, and started putting my clothes back into the closet. with shaky and fast hands, seonghwa opened the closet and dresser drawers. the only noise in the room was the sound of coat hangers hitting each other and the tussle of fabric. i could feel his heartache from miles away. finally, i let my tears fall as i glare at seonghwa’s back.
“i can have someone pick up my stuff some other time, seonghwa. that won't stop me from leaving.” i break the silence this time. he goes completely still, like he's frozen in place. eventually, seonghwa lets his arms fall, slapping his sides, and hangs his head down. the recurring silence is eating me alive. i want him to say something, anything. i want him to scream at me, yell at me, tell me to leave, tell me that he never even loved me.
seonghwa slowly turned around to face me, his eyes meeting mine for what felt like the first time. the tears welling up in his eyes made me choke down a quick breath and bite my tongue.
“you're my star, y/n” whispered words spill from seonghwa’s lips. words that made my heart clench and my tears fall faster.
“you can't force the stars to align, seonghwa, we’re two worlds apart.” i raised my voice slightly at him. i hate playing this back and forth game.
“two worlds apart? what do you mean, y/n?” seonghwa takes a hesitant step closer to me as he searches my eyes for the answer.
“isn't it obvious? you're an idol, seonghwa. aren't you tired of having to hide our relationship, having to pretend i don't exist, having to constantly check up on me when you're on tour? i'm doing us both a favor.” i speak loudly with my hands but the words falling from my mouth were quiet and broken up by my sobs.
“is that what this is all about? we can go public with our relationship. i don't care what happens or what anyone has to say, i just want to fix this,” seonghwa spoke rationally but i can tell by his body language that he was getting just as frustrated as me, “don't leave over something like this.”
“i guess distance doesn't always bring fondness,” i sigh and haphazardly wipe away the tears on my cheeks, “i wish i could stay with you, seonghwa”
“then stay” he makes no move to wipe his cheeks like i did. the pleading was evident within his voice, but i wasn't going to change my mind. this was the only option we had left. this was how our relationship was destined to end. we used to fantasize for hours about what our future would look like. we would stay up all night talking about our hypothetically wedding and children, but in the back of my mind i knew our words would never become a reality. i'm surprised we got as far as moving in together let alone being together for the past 5 years.
i have nothing but love for park seonghwa. that's why breaking up with him is the right thing to do. “stop trying to keep us alive”
i grab the only bag of mine that seonghwa didn't unpack and walk out of the bedroom, making a b-line for the front door of our apartment. seonghwa was close behind me, spewing incoherent sentence after sentence, begging me to stay. he grabbed onto my arm once i had reached the door.
“we’ll never be two worlds apart, my star, we’re both mars.” i can’t bear to face my soon to be ex-boyfriend; i just keep my head down as i silently cry.
“you're mars, my love, and i'm saturn. its been like that from the start. we’ve been two worlds apart for the past 5 years,” i gently shake seonghwa’s arm off of me and grab the doorknob, “i was never your star, but you’ll forever be mine.” i give him one last tearful look before i opened the door and left, what is now, seonghwa's apartment.

pairing: hwang hyunjin x female reader
summary: hyunjin and you have a tradition of trying to surprise each other with little things. he's a bad liar, but you love him all the same.
word count: 1.7k
warnings: tooth-rotting fluff
a/n: a reader on ao3 requested hyune fluff!
till death do us part collection | read it on ao3 | masterlist
Ever since you started dating, Hyunjin and you have had a tradition of trying to surprise each other with little things, whether it be a small gift, food or drink delivery, or even an unexpected visit.
It’s fun and planning out what you’re going to do next helps to distract you whenever Hyunjin is overseas for schedules or touring. Your favourite part is that even after a couple years, Hyunjin never seemed to be able to anticipate what you were going to do next. On the other hand, Hyunjin was bad at lying and you had gotten fairly good at reading his tells, although you didn’t have to fake your delight whenever you received something.
Sometimes, things don’t quite work out, like when you had found out that Hyunjin had an evening off and decided to drop by the dorms on your way home from work. You had knocked on the door, arms laden with takeout, just to find out from a bewildered Changbin that Hyunjin had gone over to your place and was attempting to cook you dinner.
Today, you had spotted a florist that had recently opened near your workplace and slowed your pace to admire all the flowers being displayed. You’re drawn to the carefully made arrangements and selection of potted plants, but it’s one particular bouquet that catches your eye and makes you stop in your tracks. You know instantly that you want to buy it.
It’s small and simple, but features the birth month flowers for both you and Hyunjin. The combination is unusual, but you think they complement each other perfectly.
You’ve always liked flowers, but it’s Hyunjin’s fascination with them that led you to have more of an interest in the different meanings that they could hold.
You text Chan, who confirms that he’s available to let you into the dorms and that Hyunjin is in his room.
When you make it to the door and Chan greets you, his eyebrows lift at the flowers you’re holding.
“Are these for me? Aw, Y/n, you didn’t have to,” he teases, reaching out to grab them before redirecting to pull the door closed. He laughs when you pretend to ignore him and remove your shoes. “Hyunjinnie is still in his room, I’m sure he’ll be happy to see you.”
You knock on Hyunjin’s door, suddenly feeling nervous for some reason.
“Just a minute, hyung,” he calls out, sounding distracted.
You frown, but he clearly doesn’t know that it’s you, so you knock again.
“Hyunjin?”
“Y/n!?” he says, sounding panicked. “UH DON’T COME IN! I’M BUSY”
“Jinnie, what’s going on?” you ask, starting to get concerned.
“Nothing is happening!! I just- I don’t want to see you right now!” he says frantically.
You step away from the door, feeling a bit hurt. Although he usually likes it, maybe you shouldn’t have tried to surprise him today. Right when you’re about to walk away, you hear a slap, as if Hyunjin is face palming, and then a loud clatter.
“I didn’t mean it like that, Y/n! I want to see you, of course I do! But not right now! Please go away for a little while!!” There’s rustling in the background and the sound of the balcony door, sliding open and closed a couple times.
“Is everything okay?”
“Yes! Just- give me another minute please!”
“Hey,” Hyunjin says. He’s leaning against the wall and his voice is deceptively calm, at odds with his dishevelled appearance.
You can’t help but giggle at the splotches of paint that are all over his skin although it’s obvious that he just changed into clean clothes. You had suspected that he might be painting when you heard the balcony door open, Hyunjin only uses that area to store his paintings, but this confirms it.
“What? Why are you laughing?” he asks petulantly, dropping the cool act.
“I’m not!” you deny, even as you continue to laugh.
“You are! Tell me what’s so funny,” he insists.
“It’s nothing,” you say. “You’re just so cute.”
“Oh,” Hyunjin says. He looks away, but is clearly pleased based on the way that he presses his lips together to prevent himself from smiling.
“Come here.” You beckon him closer and he gladly steps into your space. “You’re very cute and did you know that you have something here-”
You reach out and use your thumb to touch a dot of purple that sits high on his cheekbone.
“-and here-”
You poke a smear of green that runs across his nose.
“-and here.”
You run your hand through his hair, fingers catching slightly on a few of the strands that have dried together in a blue streak.
“You know, you don’t need an excuse to touch me,” Hyunjin says, eyes crinkling into a smile as he pulls you even closer and wraps his arms around your body.
“Hyunjin…”
“What?”
“You know you actually do have paint everywhere, right? It wasn’t an excuse.”
Hyunjin’s smile dissolves and is replaced with a look of horror when he looks down and sees evidence of his earlier activities.
“It’s not paint!”
“It’s not? Then what is it?” you tease.
“It’s- it’s- I got tattoos!”
“You, a professional idol, got tattoos on your face,” you say, amused.
“Yes,” he nods his head vigorously.
“Of… paint smudges?”
“Uh yeahhh,” he says slowly.
“Why?” You can see that Hyunjin’s brain is working at maximum capacity, trying to think of a way to explain. It’s funny, but you don’t want him to suffer for too long. “It’s okay, you can tell me that you’re painting. I won’t ask you what it is or who it’s for,” you say and you watch as Hyunjin slumps in relief.
“So what brings you here?” he asks.
“Hmm, do I need a reason? Is it not enough that I want to see you?” you respond playfully.
“Well when you put it that way…"
“But I do have a reason, I got you something!" You pull out the bouquet from where you’ve placed it behind the couch.
“Oh,” he says in wonder, voice soft. He reaches out to brush the petals of the flowers. “It’s us.”
“There’s a new florist close to work,” you explain, passing over the bouquet. “I couldn’t not buy it.”
“Thank you, Y/n. I love it!” He links your fingers together so that he can tug you in the direction of the kitchen. “We need to put it in some water, I think that I have a vase somewhere.”
“They’re pretty, right?” you ask as Hyunjin opens and closes various cupboards.
“They are, but not as pretty as you!”
“Hyunjin!” you gasp. “That was so cheesy!”
“What?” Hyunjin plucks one of the loose petals from the bouquet’s wrapping and drops it on top of your head. “These are beautiful, but you’ll always be my favourite flower.”
—
Almost a week later, you wake up to a text from Hyunjin.
[3:20 am - received]
hiii
my petal~
can you come over later?
i want to see youuuuu
[7:03 am - sent]
why were you awake so late if you didn’t have a schedule ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
but yes i’m free this evening!
i want to see you toooo
[9:22 am - received]
i couldn’t sleep
was thinking of you
[9:23 am - sent]
stoppp
you’re going to make me cry at work ㅠㅠㅠ
[9:23 am - received]
sorry, but it’s true~~
anyway, i won’t bother you while you work
can’t wait to see you <3
Work seems to drag along and you’re relieved when you’re finally allowed to leave the office. When you get to the dorms, Hyunjin is already waiting for you, leaning with the top of his head peeking out of the doorway.
“You’re here!” he says, pulling you out of the hallway. Once inside, he helps strip you of your coat and shoes, handing you the pair of slippers that you usually use.
“What’s the rush?”
“I want to show you something.”
“Oh?” You glance over Hyunjin’s shoulder but can’t see anything out of the ordinary in the living room. “Where is it?”
“It’s in my room, but it’s a surprise. You have to close your eyes.” You follow his instructions, jumping slightly when Hyunjin’s hands come over your face. When he speaks again, he’s close enough that his lips brush your ear. “Just in case, I don’t want you to look.”
As the two of you are shuffling towards his room, you hear the shutter sound of someone taking a picture.
“Hannie,” Hyunjin complains. “Why are you taking pictures of us?”
“You guys are so cute together! Don’t worry, I’ll send it to you later,” Jisung says.
Hyunjin groans and continues leading you into his room, but you’re sure that if you had been able to see him, he’d be fighting back a smile.
When you reach his room, he leaves you standing for a second, before coming back to hold your hand.
“Okay, you can open your eyes now,” he says, sounding nervous.
You look up and gasp.
He’s painted a scene that’s from one of your favourite dramas where the characters are embracing in the snow. Although the facial features of the individuals are in Hyunjin’s distinctly abstract art style, with some modifications to their heights and hair styles.
Instead of snowflakes, flower petals swirl around the couple, ones that match the bouquet you had gifted him a few days ago. In addition, peonies border the painting. They’re one of your favourite flowers, both for their beauty and the way that they represent hope and a future of happiness and good fortune.
Speechless, you reach out and touch the painting, almost startled when your fingers brush against the rough canvas instead of silky smooth petals.
“It’s us,” you say, echoing Hyunjin’s reaction to your recent gift to him.
“You’re crying,” he says, concerned. “Is it too much?”
“Hyunjin-” you say, barely able to see him through the tears that blur your vision. You reach out and he meets you halfway. “Baby, it’s perfect. I love it and I love you.”
“I’m glad,” he murmurs, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head. “I love you too, my petal.”

I owe you a kiss - Pt.2
Pairing: Minchan x femReader
Word Count: 3133
Summary: Minho and you work out a few methods to help Chan acknowledge his feelings, good or bad. Both you and Minho have nothing but Chan's best in mind, slowly realizing how insecure Chan truly is...
Warnings/Tags: fluff, angst, domestic life, husband!channie, husband!minho, anxious!numbish!channie, soft!minho, emotional hurt/comfort, soft fluffy shit
A/N: Dedicated to my girls @kai-lee08 @atinyniki and @sona1800 since you related to the first part so much💕
PART ONE | PART THREE
The next morning, Minho wakes up to you, planting kisses all over his face. You poke his side, giggling as he makes a cute protesting noise. "Wake up, sleepy," you tease him. "Channie and I made breakfast."
"I'm tired," he whines softly, feeling the jetlag hitting him full force.
"Minnie, it's 2 pm, come on," you say, and he shoots up in shock.
"What?!" he asks with wide eyes, head turning as he hears Chan chuckling. He's leaning in the doorframe, arms crossed in front of his chest, and watches him amused.
"She's right, if you don't get up now, you won't be able to sleep tonight," he tells him, and Minho falls back into the pillows, groaning, and closes his eyes.
"Come on, Channie made pancakes," you say, and Minho squints at you. "With chocolate chips."
"Fuck you," he presses out before pushing himself up, ignoring your succeeding giggles.
He joins you only shortly after, wearing one of Chan's signature black sweaters and his glasses. His hair looks fluffy, and you can't fight the urge to run your fingers through it. Minho melts into your touch with a soft hum. "Chan's right, you're such a kitten."
Minho's ears burn up as Chan smirks and hands him his plate. "Stop it already."
"Okay, this is the first step of our getting better program," you announce, and Minho glances at you, amused, taking the first bite. “Cherish every bite. Take the flavor all in and focus on how it feels against your tongue. Focus on the temperature and texture," you say.
Minho chokes on his pancake as he can't hold himself back from laughing at your serious face. Tears shoot to his eyes as he coughs, covering his mouth with his hand. Chan drops his fork and quickly steps next to him, patting his back forcefully. Minho winces at the impact and waves him off, still laughing. "Y/N!" he whines as he's finally able to breathe again.
"What?" you ask, confused. "I was doing some research, and they said it's a way to focus on what you're feeling again."
"Why would you-" Minho breaks into a fit of giggles again, burying his face in his arm. "Why would you say it all serious like some instructions on how to-."
"Lee Minho!" you protest loudly, knowing where this is heading.
Realization hits Chan's face, and he has trouble holding back a laugh. "Min, you can't be serious, why-" he fails and laughs as well.
"I swear I hate you two," you groan softly as they giggle but can't fight back a smile at that sound. Your boys being happy is all you want, after all.
"I'm sorry, honey," Minho snorts and shakes his head at himself before continuing to eat. "But she's right, try it out, Chan."
Chan exchanges an amused look with him before taking another bite and chewing more slowly now. Minho cracks up once again, seeing Chan's partly focused but also disgusted expression. Chan almost spits it all over the table, meeting his eyes, quickly covering his mouth.
"Nice texture, love?" Minho asks, and Chan makes a protesting sound, smacking his arm gently.
"Fucking hell, forget that. This isn't working with you two massive toddlers," you laugh and roll your eyes at them. "Minnie, do you have anything planned for today?"
"No," he shakes his head.
"Great, I'm taking the two of you to the beach," you nod.
"On second thought, there's something I really have to -."
"Min," you say firmly. "I know you can't swim, but you have us."
"Ugh, fine," he groans, giving in as he sees a hint of excitement in Chan's eyes. Sometimes, he forgets how much his husband loves the sea.
-
Just as you're about to leave, Minho gets a call from the company. He joins you again with an apologizing smile. "I'm so sorry, but they want to do the interview that would've been scheduled for today online now."
"Aw no," you pout softly.
"I'm sorry," he pouts right back at you, cupping your face and kissing your nose. You giggle softly, and he smirks succeedingly. "I'll join you later, okay?"
"Okay," you sigh softly.
Minho turns to Chan and flashes him a gentle smile. "You two have fun, alright?"
"Alright," he nods and gently caresses his cheek. "Drive carefully, okay?"
"Promise," he smiles softly.
You watch him leave before turning to Chan and glancing up at him. "You're still in the mood to go to the beach?"
"I'm not in the mood for anything right now, but that probably won't change for a while," he giggles and meets your eyes. "I'm all yours today; we can do whatever you want."
You smirk and gently grab his hand, smiling as he lets you. "We should get going; we can go for a swim now as well, with Minnie coming later."
-
Chan helps you spread the towels on the sand, chuckling as your hair keeps on landing in your face due to the soft breeze. You smirk at him and put down your bag at the edge of the towels to keep them in place. Once you have everything in place, you take off your dress and throw it onto the towels, smiling at Chan. “Come on, angel.”
Chan chuckles at your eagerness and takes off his shirt, throwing it onto your dress before taking your hand and letting you pull him down to the water. You chicken out for a moment as the cold water hits your feet but Chan is having none of it and lifts you up, making you squeak in surprise. He walks you into the water, gently lowering you down with him.
You smile softly as he lets you stay close and wrap your arms around his shoulders more casually. Your eyes travel up his face, starting at those plump lips you love kissing so much up his nose before meeting his soft chocolate orbs. You lift your hand and very gently caress his cheek, thumb brushing his cheekbone. Chan’s eyes search yours, almost looking a little puzzled, but deep down, you can tell he relaxes at the feeling. “Hey there, beautiful,” you smile happily.
“Stop it,” he mutters softly, blushing a little at your fond gaze.
“This is nice, isn’t it?” you ask, and he hums lowly, not knowing what to say. “We haven’t had much time outside the house together lately.”
“True,” he nods and mirrors your smile as you brush back his damp curls. “Haven’t had much time in general lately.”
“Neither did Min,” you nod and lean back a little to look up at the perfectly blue sky.
“And still you stay,” Chan's voice pulls you from your thoughts.
You frown softly at him. “Of course, I stay.
“Nah, that’s not, of course,” he laughs and shakes his head at you. “You stay with us without complaining once when we don’t have the time we should have for you. We’re away so often, and when we’re home, we’re tired.”
“Which means we’ll stay in the whole day, and I can cuddle you guys. Chan, I chose this when I said yes. I know both you and Min would handle it differently if you could, so don’t blame yourself,” you assure him and gently nudge your nose against his. “I love you so much and all the time we can’t spend together makes our joined times even more special. Just like this here right now,” you smile brightly.
Chan doesn’t know how to respond, but he can tell you’re being sincere. He buries his face in your shoulder and hugs you tight for a moment, humming softly as you run your hand through his hair. “I’m so glad we have you.”
“I’m so glad I have you guys too,” you smile and kiss his head, playing with his hair at the back of his neck. “Let’s get out so we’re all dry before Min gets here,” you suggest, and Chan gives in with a low hum. You pull him back to your towels and sit down with him, not letting go of his hand yet. “Close your eyes, pretty.”
“What?” he asks confused.
“Close your eyes, come on,” you laugh, and Chan rolls them before doing as you said. “Okay, and now?” he asks impatiently.
“Now, take a deep breath and try to relax. Listen to the waves and feel the sun against your skin,” you tell him, voice growing soothing and quiet. Chan does as you say, lying back with you. You gently fondle his hand in yours and turn to watch him.
“Quit staring, creep,” he mutters under his breath.
“We’re married, dumbass. What exactly haven’t I seen before, huh?” you give right back.
“Exactly my point, no need to stare,” he grins and squints his eyes at you, turning to face you.
“What do you feel?” you smile at him, and Chan thinks for a moment.
“Feels warm,” he shrugs, and he huffs at the gently scolding look you give him. “The waves remind me of home,” he goes on. “The sun feels nice…your hand also.”
“See, that’s a lot of positive feelings, right?” you ask, and he nods hesitantly. “Min and I both did some research and found some stuff that might help you feel better…or feel in the first place.”
Chan turns onto his side, facing you now, and smiles softly. “That’s very sweet.”
“Anything for you, Channie angel,” you beam adoringly and sink deep into his eyes.
Chan tenderly cups your cheek and searches your eyes, leaning in a little. You can feel his wedding rings resting against your cheek, smiling at the feeling. “I don’t tell you how beautiful you are often enough,” he whispers, making a slight blush travel up your neck to your cheeks. “Can I…Can I kiss you?”
You blink a little stunned, before nodding quickly. “Always.”
Chan's lips melt against yours, feeling as soft and familiar as ever, sending sparks through your body. His hand finds the back of your neck, fingers threading into your hair, and a soft, weak sound escapes him. Your body searches his, your lips chase his, and you can’t stop yourself from gripping his hair a little tighter. It has been almost a week since he kissed you and you hadn’t noticed how much you had missed it. Chan pulls back after a bit, a beautiful smile covering his lips. “That felt amazing,” he smirks, making you blush.
“Sure hope so,” you tease him lightheartedly and wink at him.
-
Two days later Minho walks upstairs to get Chan for dinner, a little surprised as he doesn’t react to you calling out for him. He knocks at the door to his home office and lets himself in, closing the door again. Chan sits at his desk, staring into the distance, and the only thing telling him he isn’t completely zoned out is him humming to the tune playing from his laptop. “Channie love?” he asks gently, and Chan snaps out of it, blinking at him confused. “Everything okay?”
Chan is tempted to say yes, but when he meets Minho’s concerned coffee orbs, he gives in, shaking his head. “Not really.”
“How can I help?” he asks, stopping a few steps away from him, unsure if physical comfort is what Chan needs now.
“I don’t know,” he admits and pulls down the sleeves of his sweater.
Minho notices, knowing it’s a habit of his husband when he’s feeling cuddly. He decides to take a different approach and grabs Chan’s spare chair pulling it next to him and sitting down. Offering his hand, he leans back and watches Chan take it, hesitantly intertwining their fingers. “What’s wrong, love?”
“I can’t get anything done,” he huffs, clearly frustrated. “I promised Y/nnie to help her pack before she goes to see her family tomorrow. I also promised Hannie to send over the new track and…,” he trails off, and Minho notices the tears burning in his eyes. “I’m a failure, Min.”
“Oh, baby,” he breathes out and shakes his head. “Come here?” he offers, gently patting his thighs.
Chan glances at him timidly and chews on his lower lip. “I’ll be too heavy.”
“Fucks sake,” he chuckles and cups his face. “I fucked you stupid in less comfortable positions, so move your ass here now for some cuddles.” Chan chokes on his laugh, and a tear spills down his cheek. He gives in and straddles Minho’s lap, burying his face in his shoulder in an instant. Minho soothingly rubs his back and kisses his hair. “You, my hardworking love, are not a failure. You simply need a break from now and then, like the rest of us do. I already helped Y/nnie pack, and Hannie can wait another day, there’s no rush. All the tracks for this comeback are done.”
“Min? Channie? Are you guys coming or-?” you ask, opening the door and frowning at the sight in front of you. “Oh, Channie, what’s wrong?”
“I feel like I can’t keep up,” he sniffles, buried in Minho’s shoulder.
“Keep up with what?” you ask patiently and step closer, exchanging a worried glance with Minho, who seems calm. Sometimes, you really admire him for keeping a cool head when things get rough.
“Everything,” he admits.
You place your hands on his shoulders before soothingly rubbing his arms. “Sometimes, Channie angel, you need a break…and you very clearly need one at the moment. That’s completely fine, and the things you feel are valid. But I can assure you, you’re doing such a good job.”
“We’re very proud of you, Channie love,” Minho agrees, glad that you instinctively chose similar words to himself.
You lovingly run your hand through his hair and massage his scalp, trying to soothe him. Minho rubs his back and leans his head against his, glancing up at you. “Minnie and I thought we’d have dinner now before you guys drop me off at the airport tomorrow morning. We won’t have that much time for breakfast. You want to join us?” you ask, feeling like giving him a choice is the better option now.
“Okay,” Chan sniffles softly and pulls back from Minho, messily wiping his cheeks. He chuckles weakly as Minho cups his face and kisses his forehead soothingly.
-
Shifting in his seat, Minho turns up the radio after a while to cancel the silence as neither he nor you are sure whether you should talk. Chan is driving, saying something about it easing his mind, and seems deep in thought as he does. Minho and you decided to come along, joining him for an aimless late-night drive. Minho starts humming along to the tune playing and glances up at the dark sky, wondering how the next few days will be with you gone. He smiles to himself as he notices you singing along quietly in the backseat and chimes in gently at first.
“Oh, Min, that’s our song!” you say excitedly, and Minho giggles as he recognizes the new tune: Connected. “I still think it’s so cute you did that, Channie angel.”
Chan chuckles softly and rolls his eyes at you before giving in and starting to sing with you. Minho watches the two of you, amused, singing the parts he remembers. The next song has the three of you singing at the top of your lungs, fooling around as you do so. The smile on Chan’s lips seems genuine and it warms your heart seeing it. After a while, Chan decides it’s time for a break, and you all get out. You smile as you hear the waves crashing against the shore and take a deep breath. Chan’s hands slip into yours and Minho’s as he walks down to the beach with you.
You all sit down in the sand and Minho chuckles as Chan lies down in the sand. “Channie love, you’ll be covered in sand later. It’ll be all in your curls,” he scolds him lovingly.
“Then you can help me wash it out,” he shrugs and smiles up at him. “If you lie down as well, I might help you too.”
“Nope, I have a better idea,” Minho giggles and rests his head on his chest.
“Smart,” you nod and do the same on Chan’s left.
“You two are ridiculous,” Chan sighs before laughing softly.
Minho gently rubs his chest and turns a little to look up at the sky. “It’s nice here,” he says after marveling at the stars painting the sky above you.
“It’s beautiful,” you agree quietly.
A comfortable silence accentuated by the waves and calm breeze lulls you in. You’re ready to fall asleep right there in the sand when Chan speaks up. “I love you two so much…I hope you know that.”
“Of course we do,” Minho whispers and moves a little on him, planting a kiss on his jaw.
“We love you too, angel,” you smile and softly pat his chest.
Chan gently pats your arms, signaling you to sit up. He stares at the sea for a moment, feeling his mind calm. “I think I need a break. Like a literal break,” he says then, and Minho watches him thoughtfully.
“You mean from the group?” he asks gently, and you can see he’s nervous at the thought of managing without him for a while.
Chan hums softly and plays with the sand between his legs. “I was thinking and…I really miss Australia,” he says, and the silence grows heavy for a moment. “I don’t wanna say home because that’s here with you two, but-”
“It’s okay,” you assure him gently. “It’s your family; of course that’s home too.”
“I just need to get away for a while, sort my head. I know you're doing everything you can,, and you two make me happier than anything else, but-"
"Go home," Minho cuts him off gently, and Chan glances at him timidly. His soft brown eyes are filled with warmth and understanding. “You deserve a break. We'll be fine; I'll take care of Y/nnie."
"And I'll take care of Min," you laugh and exchange a fond look with him. "Seriously, Channie, we'll be okay. We can call or come visit, and you can come back whenever you want to."
Chan looks at you and Minho, stunned. He didn't expect your approval as easily as that. "You're sure?" he asks.
Minho scoots a little closer and searches his eyes before kissing his lips softly. "Very sure, Channie," he says gently. "Don't worry so much about us."
Chan smiles gently and takes both of your hands. "Thank you."
“Just…don’t forget about us over there, yeah?” you ask, not fully able to swallow down your own insecurities and fears.
“Never,” Chan says firmly and flashes you a gentle smile. “I could never forget you two.”
