THE BACHELORS, EPISODE 3: "TORNADO OF CHARISMA"

Coco's Mansion

Lauryn: I've honestly felt that both James and Lexie have been a little distant from me, I think it was because of what happened in the food challenge, because if that's the case, I should clear my reputation with them.

Francisca: Dear, haven't you read in the magazines that tanning is the new sensation? We should try it and that would solve our problems!

Lauryn: Wow, I think you're my only friend here in this mansion Francisca, let's go get a tan!

In the TV room of the Mansion

Lexie and Coco were watching TV, Lexie has decided to spend more time with the Bachelor, and thus get a little more advantage over the others.

Coco (watching TV): Wow! The other day I went to Strangertown to a party I was invited to, and let me tell you that there, the parties last until 7 in the morning.

Lexie (Amazed): Really!? My friends used to tell me the same thing, but I thought they were just rumors.

Coco: One day we should go to a party in the city, but I don't think it's that easy to go unnoticed hehe!

Lexie: Hey Coco, would you like me to give you a new makeover? I have received some makeup kits and I would like to try them on you!

Coco: Okay! Plus I have to help Xander with a music video or something.

At Xander's mansion

Hazal was very attached to Xander, since she had already become a very cool friend to him.

Hazal: Thank you very much for purchasing my debut album, Xan Xan!. The truth is that since I was a little girl I always wanted to be a singer, but as I dedicated myself more to acting, I put that dream aside.

Xander: Don't worry, Hazal! The truth is, you have a beautiful voice, and I especially loved your song, I think it was called "Cheap Skills" or something like that.

Hazal (laughing a little): It's called "Cheap Opera Skills"! Hahaha, and it's dedicated to a boy who thought he was going to humiliate me, but he couldn't…. Remember that today we will film the Music Video for my song "Shake your Body"!!.

At that moment Keegan arrives, who felt a little jealous of Hazal.

Keegan: Hey Cutie, where are you going so fancy?

Xander: Hi Keegan! I will accompany Hazal to Record a Music video!

Keegan (covering his jealousy a little): Okay, but let me tell you, you look really cute today!

I'm certain this is on your blog somewhere but I don't know where to look. Did you abandon strangertown? I was just reading through it and saw the last post was in January and you were playing a different strangetown now. Understandable if so, tho I'm sad not to know what the collusion is.

I actually haven't addressed it, but I'm happy to answer your question.

It's not abandoned, necessarily. I still have the save file and all backups. I've just set it aside, for the moment.

Strangertown is big and (slight spoiler) will be getting bigger at the end of the current round. The way I typically play a neighborhood, I go through each family and play them for 2-3 days at a time, but Strangertown works different, in part because of the size, and in part because of the focus on more outlandish and interwoven stories. There's a lot of planning that goes into how to play a round of Strangertown. There's more posed scenes. All of this together makes it difficult for Strangertown to hold my attention at this current moment in time.

I'm having a lot more fun with the game currently hopping around between a bunch of different neighborhoods and just playing, for the most part (I can't entirely help myself when it comes to creating a story with posed scenes, but it's nowhere near the same scale). I've got a lot of stress in my life, so I'm just trying to do what is most enjoyable for the time being when I have a brief moment to play. I had a leave of absence from work last month due to health issues, which allowed me to play a lot more, but I'm back at work now and just moved to a new apartment. Money's a bit tight because of the leave (disability payments used the quarter where I wasn't working full-time, so I did not get a lot of financial assistance), the holidays, and moving. There's still so much to do to get settled in the new place. I've been trying to play through 3 days of the Chao-Townsend family for the past couple weeks and I'm only through 2 days XD None of this is meant to imply that I feel you were pressuring me in any way. I'm not making an excuse, because none was called for, I'm just musing about where I'm at with life and the game. I suppose I'm venting, really. I feel quite scattered in real life, and it impacts my attention span in the Sims.

I should say that things have improved in the last week or so because I've been getting more serious about finding a good balance for myself and I'm planning on doing a lot with stress management in 2023. If any of you have tips or resources you can point me to, I'd welcome them.

Returning to the original point, I want to see Strangertown's story continue and maybe even come to a conclusion (though what that would look like, I'm unsure), so I do believe it will return one day! I'm very glad to hear people are still entertained by it!

Dom: “No, it will not do to make her mine by manipulating the relationship bar and setting the relationship flags. I want my own Circe. Circe Newlow. Made for me, by me, and in my image. Show me a way, PlumbBob.”

Erin: “I’m really glad you could make it. And Circe, too.”

Loki: “You are my sister. I wouldn’t miss your... wedding...”

Loki: “Look at them, Circe. They’re perfect.”

Circe: “Mhmm...”

Loki: Is that...? No... But she certainly could pass for her in a pinch...

Johnny: “It’s Jill. I’m going to check what she’s calling about.”

Ophelia: “Alright. I’ll just be making us some lunch.”

Johnny: “Buck told Jill that Ripp ran away.”

Ophelia: “What? Watcher, I hope he’s ok!”

Johnny: “So, I really need to tell you something... Confess something... I kissed Ripp. Or he kissed me? Whoever kissed who, it was mutual.”

Ophelia: “Oh...”

Johnny: “So...”

Ophelia: “I... Actually, I’m more surprised that Ripp kissed you... I mean, I thought he liked me...”

Ophelia: “Do you feel bad about it? Do you want to be with me? Or Ripp?” 

Johnny: “Phi, I want to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Johnny: “I also want to be completely honest with you: I don’t regret kissing Ripp. I like him. A lot. I don’t ever want to hurt you, though. I feel like I should regret the kiss because I cheated on you, and that’s wrong. And I do regret cheating on you, but not the act itself. I don’t know...”

Ophelia: “So, you want to be with both of us? But you don’t want to hurt me? Like polyamory?”

Johnny: “Uh, maybe?”

Ophelia: “Look, Johnny, I’m actually not upset? I think because it was Ripp. In the interest of full disclosure, I’ve flirted with him. He’s easy to like... Like, he’s cute, you know?”

Johnny: “Are we talking about boys?”

Ophelia: “About a boy.”

Ophelia: “I think we need to do some thinking and research.”

Johnny: “But, we’re ok?”

Ophelia: “Yes.”

Johnny: “If at some point down the road we’re not, let me know. Whatever happens from here, I messed up not communicating what happened until now.”

Ophelia: “That’s true.”

Johnny: “I love you so much.”

Ophelia: “I love you, too.”

Sinjin: “Home?”
