im sorry but this dialogue absolutely took me OUT i was crying tears of laughter. i dont know if i hate it or love it. wit throwing that word at kaladin is both hilarious and immersion-breaking. now i hope he comes back from his retreat with some freud-level psychoanalysis

Who do y'all think knows/has realized Violet and Xaden are able to speak through a mental bond?

Throughout both books we get a lot of instances were they're just silently discussing with one another and everyone is looking at them like "wtf?" but no one seems to realize they can *actually* mind speak

My guesses: Liam definitely knew. Either he put it together or Xaden actually told him, because from the start he makes faces at them like he totally knows what they're doing.

Brennan is smart, and Violet tells him about how they're able to sense each other through the bond (does everyone else know that? because i thought that was also a secret. I had forgotten Brennan knew until recently). If he knows that much, it can't be hard to put the other part together?

This might be a little plot hole (or not, and it will get answered later) but Tairn mentions only some riders with mated pairs get that mind bond, so leadership has to know about the possibility. I really do not understand how haven't they ever asked Violet about it? Or did they and I didn't notice?

Lastly, Violet showed Dain the memories of Resson. She used the bond with Xaden a few times during battle and when Liam died, wouldn't Dain have seen it? But he has never said anything about it? Or for plot's sake are we pretending Violet avoided those parts?

i've just finished binge reading the folk of the air trilogy for the first time and kinda disappointed... no one ever said hey jude

i fucking hate r.f. kuang it's been a whole fucking day since i finished the poppy war trilogy and even if the execution of the last book wasn't my favorite the ending still broke me and my brain is just repeating quotes from the drowning faith nonstop on loop i want to fucking kill myself
