“Shield”

Send “Shield” for my muse’s reaction to yours placing themselves between my muse and danger. Send “sword” for my muse to put themselves between your muse and danger.

The blasterbolts cut through the air like broiling baldes and left behind the stark stench of ozone. Shouts and screams filled the Hangar like a ocean, that drowned every other sound that were firing blasters, hectic footsteps on the ground and the clattering of cargoboxes thrown in the way. Ziv felt as if she was deaf, the blasterbolts, screams and clattering of material had turned into nothing but a loud throbbing in her ears that made it impossible for her to make out one single noise between the loud rushing of sounds. Making herself as small as possible Tynnan was crouching behind a few cargoboxes, peering through the wild whirl of colours that were blasterbolts, stormtrooperarmor and other people caught in the fight. As a Tynnan the young woman had already naturally a very bad eyesight, but the smoke hanging in the air did not especially helped making it clear for her where she was and how she would need to move forward to get into safety. It were only a few steps until the ramp of a starship in which she could hide, yet the few steps looked from where she was like a mile, like a kilometere,like a ocean of stars in cold space. Still, if she just took a few steps forward, she could hide behind a few other Cargoboxes, and then she only needed to run again and took a hiding behind a overthrown speeder and then it would only be a few seconds of sprinting towards the ship to get in there, it was not far, it was managable, it was not far, it copuld not be that far, it could never be as far as it looked.

Around her the Starhangar was wrapped  into chaos with blasterbolts burning through the air and every inch of  the place smelling of ozone so  heavily that Ziv was sure she would have  been able to grasp that scent  if she would just reach out. Ziv did not reached out. Instead she ran. Blasterbolts flew close over her head, burning the ends of her furlike firesparks, but Ziv only needed a few seonds reaching the first hideout behind the cargoboxes, then, without wasting a single second she again sprinted towards the thrown over speeder to hide behind the shell that always creaked as if breaking the next second whenever a blasterbolt hit it. Ziv only took one breath before she sprinted forward again, now only a few heartbeats away from the ships ramp.

She did not reached the third point fast enough- the Tynnan was only three more steps away from the ships ramp when she saw a blasterbolt red like burned flesh out of the corner of her eyes and already she felt its heat, already she thought just one second away from pain already she could swear she could feel that she would crush on the ground injured. She never was hit.

“Kriffing wha-”, the young womans head snapped up, looking panicky at the armored person who hsd just been shot in the back instead of her. From one second to another the Tynnan felt all her inside fall cold as if freezing. “Hey! Are you okay? Hey, look at me!”, reaching up with her small paws as if to steady the other Ziv  hissed loudly with her teeth bared like an animal ready to bite at the next  second. The Tynnan did not bite and neither did she touched the other to push them back, but simply reached up, ready to react and steady him in case he was stumbling to drag him out of the field of fire  behind a few cargoboxes that would be not  as much of a protetcive wall as the Tynnan would wish them to be.
