High based supercell over the plains of northeast New Mexico this past weekend. This was a cool little storm that had some interesting structure for awhile in the 40 dewpoint air it resided in. I later came across quite the hail accumuluation in the Canadian River Canyon east of Roy. What is more depressing than a category 4 hurricane

downgraded to a tropic storm, all that fury and might

evaporated like yesterday’s news, a rumor dissolved,

Claifying some questions brought in the poll tags

I thought this goes without saying but oh well, concerning the dating sim poll: every character introduced in each expansion is in place to date...except minors obviously. Minors can still serve as back ground and support characters for your romances though. I mean when dating Thancred in Shadowhunters you think Ryne WOULDN’T be involved? Hell, Thancred might want someone to talk to to work through his lost of Minfilia and seeing the world he has to leave to Ryne and Gaia. I mean for real. Yes that includes villains...uhh was thinking about adding “expansions” like Primal Fury (all Primals) for you conossieur monster fuckers out there. But...time and character limits.

Bottom line, if you want Zenos. Stormlove, if you want Emet you can wait for Shadowhunters. There stuff in parentheses (added) stuff is just Post-ARR, HW, SB, ShBr, and EW add ons included, respectively. And no, I don’t expect you to only have to pick one. If you’re a polyamorous individual looking to collect your favorite NPCs to date. Go for it, I’m not restraining anyone in what they are seeking out in the dating poll.

Also I fucked up, please mentally include an extra path for the Warriors of Dark, including Arbdert in Shadowhunters.

Even down the almost not a roads, I think we'll keep after this one. Incredible storm from May 2014 in Kansas. This thing was becoming quite wet but could still be described as a classic supercell. The wall cloud on the right continued to stay visible for another hour and it even ended up spinning up a little funnel (next photo) that we believe did briefly touch the ground -- it was darker though so hard to tell if the eyes were playing tricks on us! Storm

I was on my bike the moment I smelled the rain.

White cumulus, stained red and orange by the light of the setting sun towered above me. Powerful, passive.

Far off in the distance, a dark devouring grey began to spread.

I raced through silent, still streets, anticipation filling me with a wonderful, anxious energy.

The grey rolled and slunk quietly above the sun dyed cotton balls in the sky, as if stalking prey.

I dared it to chase me.

Static filled the air as the white, grey, red, blue collided and a sulky purple seemed to drip down the horizon.

I watched, a cry of pure thrill rising in my throat, as it became alive with flashes and jolts.

Oh, had it accepted my challenge.

The miserable purple had melted away into a deep, dangerous, dirty ashen color, and the hunt was on. 

My muscles burned, my body shifting left and right as the winds threatened to tip me over.

The slivers of sunlight, patches of blue were consumed. The world seemed to end at every turn. The night noises were silenced by something much more terrible.

As a magnificent cry echoed from somewhere not to far away, hidden in the restless sky, and the wind picked up, heeding it’s call to carry, the rain began.

It was just me and the storm.
