Tuesday, April 23: Stormage, "Anguish of Mind"

Germany’s run as the primary hub for power metal lasted a long time, fittingly enough since it all started there, but it didn’t last forever, and so Stormage’s third album not only arrived 20 years too late but also when most were looking elsewhere for this kind of thing.  “Anguish of Mind” tried to add a little swagger in the vocals, but the galloping rhythm and melodic guitar leads were as boilerplate as power metal gets.  There was always something to be said for keeping the faith and ensuring that power metal in its most central form remains in some kind of circulation, so Stormage had that going for it if nothing else.

On the topic of Neo’s possessiveness, does she get jealous when Ruby’s affectionate with her friends? Like, she’s hugging Weiss or Blake when they meet up and Neo is just glaring at them.

I think that at first one could totally notice Neo glaring, getting the tip of her tail moving, ears flattened back and all nervous because of her own insecurity EVEN in innocent situations like those, but with time Neo would adapt and learn that no one's getting Ruby away from her, it will be FINE

POV Jaune is about to get his hair cut

Thinking about CC wanting to keep Jaune’s hair relatively short because that’s how he looked when they met, and CC hates that Jaune is able to change

Jaune’s whole arc (heh) in the Ever After is about how it’s okay for things to change and accepting that not everything can stay the same. So having him look like he’s trying to look younger (even though it’s not HIS idea) just adds to that whole thing

Al: I want to hate this wine bar, because you guys built it over my favorite hangout spot, Cut-throat Alley. But then again, you have to go and offer me such a good time.

Al: Sir, your witty repartee is going so well with my cheese plate, I am just beside myself. What's the bouquet like?

Bartender: Well, it's a bit bold. When he enslaved Pit Lord Magtheridon to create Fel Orcs, few people know that the fel blood splashed all over Illidan and he loved the flavor.

Al: But yet you are a deceitful Nathrezim in disguise, working at a hipster wine bar, in a gentrified Stormwind neighborhood. Have I got that right?
