Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon

Age- 1000+ (immortal) Height: 5'8 (1,73m)

Lloyd has lived many years, of course, now he's immortal, he doesn't have much of a choice but to continue living on. He was many things throughout his life: a bratty child, a son, a master, a hero and now he's nothing more than a myth, while still a part of ninjago history many actually question if he ever really existed or not. He ostracized himself from society for a reason, after all,- it's painfull to make relationships when they are so short lived. He is considered a god by many, but he denies that being the case, maybe the embodiment of the balance between good and evil but he wont try to call himself anything more. Lloyd now lives with the spirits of his family with the occasional visits from Morro and Garmadon, his father.

Jay Walker

Age- 1000+ (spirit) Died at 115 Height: 5'10 (1,78m) Status: Nya's husband

He was a man of the spotlight, he shined brithly- TV shows, TheyTube channels, he was knowed worldwide. Not that he minds the retirement, he lived his life; he had two beautiful twins with the love of his life, Nya. He died happy, even if he was the last one to die, 3 years after Nya had passed. His last years were spent with Lloyd. In his many years in the Ninja team, he's come to realise he doesn't exactly have the same type of strengh like the others so he created a different weapon one that creates iron alloy strings, that resemble spider webs. He also practiced racing with his wife in his free time and created all kinds of machines and weapons which ranged from house equipment to ninja tech, like mechs, weapons and transport.

Kai Smith

Age- 1000+ (spirit) Died at 95 Height: 6'2 (1,88m) Status: Skylor's husband and Nya's bio brother

Kai was a little bit of an influencer in his younger years, but as the years went by he settled more into being a family man with his wife Skylor and his little girl. How did he become a spirit? Well it was his idea; well his plan was to become immortal like Lloyd but he was intersected by Morro, so he opted for the second best option: giving his powers to Lloyd, so even if he was dead he would be with Lloyd through his power; what wasn't part of the plan was he actually becoming part of Lloyd as a spirit, not that he is complaining, he got what he wanted in the end; and since he was the one that piched the idea to the ninja, he just involved them all into the mad plan- one that Lloyd was unaware of. He trully is a mad man, no one, and I mean, no ONE, puts themselves between him and his family, the last person who did so, is no longer amoung us, the last thing they saw was Kai becoming a demonic ball of flames.

Nya Smith Walker

Age- 1000+ (spirit) Died at 112 Height: 6'0 (1,83m) Status: Jay's wife and Kai's bio sister

Nya, famous racer, only had to step down from the hobbie/carrer when she got into a small accident, while she wasn't gravelly wounded that was enough for her to be proibited from competitive racing. From that day on she still raced but became more of an idol than a racer per say. She ended up working on engineer projects, solo or with Jay, mostly out of boredom. Now, since she is dead, she has more free time than ever, and uses it to learn and explore every digital corner of the internet, catching a few criminals in the way. Many say she is mystical and her strengh is as crushing as the waves in a storm can be, yet calm and relaxing as the days in the beach, others, like the Ninja themselves just see her as they're beloved sister.

Cole Brookestone

Age- 1000+ (spirit) Died at 87 Height: 6'8 (2,03m) Status: Vania's husband

Cole, King of the Kingdom of Shintaro, Husband of Queen Vania, father of the prince of Shintaro, and our beloved cake lover, sadlly passed away early, well earlier than his siblings at least, the unknowed illness that had taken the life of his mother had decided to claim another. Cole fell gravelly ill, bedridden in his late stages of life. Bedridden in the castle, he invited Lloyd over for most possibly a final goodbye, although he didn't think that Lloyd would stay around the whole time it wasn't completly unexpected, right there he was the first one to execute Kai's plan, and the first to discover the side effects of the plan; from then on he was part of Lloyd and made sure to let the others know of the end result.

Zane Julien

Age- 1000+ (nindroid) Height: 7'0 (2,13m) Status: P.I.X.A.L's husband

Caretaker of the rest of the Ninja team and their children, especially since those little kids sure liked uncle Lloyd a whole lot and would visit constently. He stayed with Lloyd in the monastery alongside P.I.X.A.L and Morro (who visits soo much he pretty much lives there, has a room and everything). Him and Lloyd share house chores, and Zane is in charge of looking at news around ninjago, to ensure it's safety, as well as helping in some researches since Lloyd is only one person and can only intake soo much information at a time. He is the only one that hasn't partaken in Kai's plan, since there is literally no reason to, Zane obviously doesn't die of old age, one may claim that he could possible get rusty and need repairs at some point but Lloyd and P.I.X.A.L are always around is any issue is to come.

==✿ADDITIONAL INFORMATION✿==

The Ninja team, many years after most of the team's death, has move the location of the monestary far away from the main ninjago island, and instead now lives in a far away island that Lloyd created west of Ninjago city, around the middle of Ninjago and the dark island (thats has been sealed away by Lloyd). The reason for that change is because of something rather strange, it's not just to ensure Lloyd's ever soo wished isolation but also because a merchant had attented to buy the place, with the intention of turning the monestary into a tourist attraction. Lloyd got a bit peeved and decided to pick up the mountain where the monestary was on top of and relocated it;

The only reason the Jay was living with Lloyd in his last moments, was because he genuenly belived he would miss the mark to execute Kai's plan, because he belives himself to be quite clumsy and distracted; either way he didn't miss it and now is with the rest of the team (which is a way to say that he can now torment the Ninja forever);

Lloyd has a cute nickname for all the Ninja's kids, and spoiled them to no end (he is the fun uncle who takes everyone to Disneyland), he calls Kai's daugther "munchkadee", Jay and Nya's twins has "Starlight" and "Moonlight" for the girl and boy respectively, and Cole's son is "Duckling";

the age diference of the Ninja are, from youngest to oldest: Lloyd - Nya - Jay - Kai - Cole - Zane ( to say, with maybe the idea of the 1 season, Lloyd (8->15) - Nya (15) - Jay (16) - Kai (17) - Cole (18) - Zane (30-40? he is old);

(conceivable for change) As of right now, Lloyd's power is one that could rival gods, the source of said power is something OP is still considering but the possible main reason might be related to "source dragons", has to why the other Ninja's had powers even after having kids is related to Lloyd giving them an artifact that has their specific element embodied into them (the artifacts are not phisical and can only be visualised when the Ninja have already passed, the artifact will most likely have the form of a card); (the reason of this possible change is the development of the plot of "Dragons Rising").

hello ninjago fandom, i know i said that i'd post about how to play hide and seek with an oni, but i'm afraid i got brainrot for the subject of today's post.

so, for today's traditional oni lore, i'll be telling you all about the two oni gods, Raijin and Fūjin!!

Raijin and Fūjin are potentially the first two oni ever created, as they were born from the corpse of Izanami, the goddess of death, who created oni. (you can learn more about her here) They escaped Yomi when Izanagi (Izanami's husband) escaped after finding Izanami's corpse.

Fūjin was the God of Wind. He is traditionally described as having green skin and red hair, and wearing a leopard or tiger loincloth. On his shoulder he carries a large bag full of winds, called '風袋' or 'Kazebuko'. He has also been referred to as Fūten. He is often depicted beside his twin brother, Raijin.

Raijin was the God of Thunder, Lightning, and Storms. Unlike Fūjin, he doesn't seem to have a particular physical appearance. He is occasionally depicted with paper white skin or red skin, depending on the artist, though even these depictions seem to agree that he has black hair. He is often depicted surrounded by taiko drums or den den daiko drums, which have tomoe symbols on them. It is said that when he beats them, it creates thunder. Raijin is also often said to have three fingers, each representing the past, present, and future. He is also referred to as 'Raiden-Sama', 'Kaminari-Sama', 'Narukami', 'Raikou', and 'Kamowakeikazuchi-no-kami'.

Raijin had a son, too, called Raitaro. Raitaro, unlike his father and uncle, he seemed to look fully human, but he does have a legend surrounding him. He too is a god of thunder, and he lived in a grand palace in the clouds with his father, Raijin. Raijin loved Raitaro deeply. The two would often pass the time by looking down at humanity, and Raitaro especially enjoyed watching the children and their parents. One day, Raijin asked Raitaro to look well upon the land. Raitaro saw noble lords and their armies fighting over land, and then a beautiful princess, priests in their temples, and finally a poor farming couple who were childless.

Raijin then asked Raitaro to choose where he would like to inhabit the earth. Raitaro chose the farmers, much to his father's pride. That day at noon, a grand thunderstorm rolled in to the farmers, Bimbo's, land. Bimbo sang Raijin's praises, delighted at the rain that would save his crops after the long drought they had just suffered. The sky was alive with booms of thunder and the spark of lightning. It struck the ground, frighteningly near the peasant. At this, the poor farmer cowered and prayed: "Kwannon have mercy on a sinful soul, for now the Thunder Dragon has me indeed" (Kwannon was the goddess of mercy)

The lightning didn't harm him, it seemed, instead a small baby laid where the lightning had struck; this was Raitaro. Bimbo took Raitaro home to his wife, and the skies cleared and the sun shone brightly upon the drenched land. Bimbo and his wife took Raitaro in as their own son, and he was said to be the happiest and tallest boy in the land. He worked the rice fields at a mere ten years old, with all the ability of a grown man, and he was amazing at predicting the weather, which made Bimbo's crops flourish.

Eventually, Raitaro's eighteenth birthday came, and all were celebrating, except for Raitaro. When Bimbo's wife asked why he was so forlorn, Raitaro explained that he had to go home, back to the heavens and his father. Bimbo and his wife were distraught, but Raitaro explained to them that they had taught him how to suffer, to labour, and to love, and that he was now more learned that the other gods. Raitaro returned to Raiden, who received his beloved son with great joy. Bimbo and his wife were comforted by the fact that soon they would be with Raitaro again, in the heavens above.

Raijin did not only have a mother, brother, and a son, but he had pets, too. Raiju, meaning thunder beast/animal, were most commonly depicted as white blue dogs or wolves, wrapped in lightning. They could also come in other forms, such as leopards, foxes, weasels, panthers, cats, tigers, ferrets, and tanukis, but again, the wolf and dog forms are the most popular. Usually, Raiju were calm beasts, but they'd become aggressive and agitated during thunderstorms. They tend to leap around in trees, fields, and even buildings, leaving lightning strikes as they go. Some Raiju tend to sleep in human navels, which causes Raijin to strike the Raiju with lightning in order to wake it up, unfortunately killing the human it was sleeping in. As a result, it's a common superstition to hide your navel when it's thundering in Japan.

i can also see the ninja being more than mildly terrified when wu very cryptically tells them 'if you hear thunder, hide your navels.'

“When the games are over, when the world is saved, we’ll find Jay. I promise,” Lloyd vowed. 

Nya stared at his concerned face. “When the world is saved,” she repeated in a deadpan tone.

Lloyd smiled. “Right.” 

Her brows furrowed. “We’re always saving the world. There’s always some new threat, some new enemy, but you know what else there’s always been? Jay! Us! As a family. He needs us! He needs me.” 

Nya brought her fist to her chest. Her fellow Ninja exchanged worried glances, and her stomach dropped. She could hear her own heart racing just as she imagined each footstep Jay took away from her. 

“Nya-” Lloyd started. 

“Let me talk to her,” Cole interjected. He squeezed Lloyd’s shoulder. Lloyd nodded to him and led the others back towards their lodging. Meanwhile, Nya’s leg bounced in place. Every second, Jay got further away. 

“C’mon, Cole! You’d come with me, right? He’s your best friend!”

Cole sighed deeply. Nya hated when he did that. He stepped closer and tried to put his hand on her shoulder, but she flinched away. 

“No, don’t touch me! Don’t try to reason with me. He’s my other half, Cole! I haven’t seen him in five years and I can’t let him get away now.” 

“Nya, I know it’s hard but-” 

“No, you don’t know-” 

Nya saw the hurt in Cole’s eyes and immediately knew she said something wrong. She remembered Geo, the soft looks shared between them. It’d truly been so long…

“I might have some idea,” Cole murmured. 

“I know,” Nya conceded. She let her shoulders drop. “I’m sorry.” 

Cole tried to touch her again, and this time Nya let him. His hand was warm and strong just as she remembered and it made her ache all over again. How much had been taken from her… “First Kai, now Jay.” 

“I know.” 

“I can’t have them taken from me again, Cole.” Nya started to tear up. She shook her head rapidly; she hated crying. 

“I- I want to go after him too. But we have a responsibility to the realms. We can’t put our own desires above the fate of the world. No matter how much it hurts. You know that,” Cole said.

She did. Nya’s eyes fell to the ground. She felt waves swirl around inside her, crashing against each other. One force was pulling her towards Jay, the other was urging her to stay put, like twin moons. A single tear dropped down her cheek. “I miss him,” she said brokenly. 

Cole pulled her into an embrace, resting her head against his shoulder. “I know.”

Nya started to sob. “I miss him loving me.”

Cole hugged her tighter, one hand in her hair, the other on her lower back. “I’m so sorry,” he whispered. 

As much as his scent of jasmine and earth comforted her, Nya craved the indescribable after-storm air of her yin. How many times had she had that scent wrapped around her? While they danced, while they fought. But how many times now had she jolted awake thinking smelled him in her bed? She tried to remember his eyes, but all she could recall was the venomous hate she’d seen in them last. How could her Jay ever look at her that way? Jay, who kissed her hands, her fingertips; whose freckles she had counted while he slept; who loved her even before she loved herself; who’d sacrifice his life for her over and over again? 

Nya clung to Cole’s shirt and let herself cry. She pounded her fist against him, screamed, let her voice rip out of her throat so hard it hurt. She screamed Jay’s name into the chill night air, almost imagining he could hear her. 

When she heard the sound of thunder, she flinched and looked over her shoulder, half-expecting to see Jay. But there was no one there. Instead, she felt his own powers buzzing in her veins. The sky had darkened while she buried her head in Cole’s shoulder and soon, she felt a raindrop land on her head. 

Nya parted from Cole and stared up at the sky, palms open. The rain quickly picked up until it was a downpour pattering against the pavement and rooftops. Blue lightning crackled among the clouds. Her hair and clothes began to be soaked by the rain, and the sensation was bittersweetly soothing against her burning skin. Thunder rumbled again, but it didn’t make her jump this time. It felt like him and the absence of him all at once. Nya breathed in, but it didn’t smell like him; it smelled like the ocean, like her. 

Slowly, Nya looked at Cole and saw that his eyes reflected her own pain. Another pair of tears slipped down her cheeks, warm compared to the rain. She ran into his arms again.

Cole walked back to the Ninja’s lodgings with his arm wrapped around Nya.

A/N: Hey Ko! Yeah, I know this is a kid’s show, but in my defense, I have two little sisters who are getting into the show too… that’s my excuse, lol. I hope this turned out alright! I also hope you don’t mind that I turned this into a hc. For reference, I hc that Cole and his family are bilingual (you pick the second language). Trust me, it’ll make sense in a moment :)

🔥I actually think that Kai would be really good at comforting people. He raised his sister by himself for a long time, and he pretty much adopted Lloyd as his little brother, so he knows how to comfort people.

🔥I’d think he’d only be reluctant if he didn’t know you that well.

🔥You’re new to the team. You’re Cole’s twin, and he had asked you to move in with the ninja as extra protection. You agreed, of course, and now live right across the hall.

🔥One night after dinner, Kai was alone in his shared room with the other male ninja. He had just gotten out of the shower and dressed in his nightwear when he could hear yelling coming from down the hall.

🔥Upon sticking his head outside the door to see what was going on, he saw you storming down the hall, Cole following closely behind. The two of you were yelling at each other in a language that Kai could not understand, and the poor fire ninja could do nothing but watch as you yelled one last time at your brother before slamming your bedroom door in his face.

🔥Before Kai had the chance to ask Cole what had happened, the earth ninja muttered to himself in this language Kai could not understand, and back-tracked down the hall.

🔥Kai would have let the situation go if it weren’t for the sobs he could hear coming from behind your door

🔥He wanted to help you, he really did, but you were still fairly new to the team and he didn’t know you all that well. He didn’t know your boundaries and what you were comfortable with

🔥But he couldn’t leave you knowing something may be wrong, so Kai sucked it up and knocked on your door gently

🔥You yelled in your other language, but Kai could make out Cole’s name

🔥”Y/N, it’s Kai/ May I come in?”

🔥You were reluctant to let him in, but you didn’t want to be rude, so you opened your door and let Kai into your room as you sat down on the edge of your bed, trying to wipe away any remaining tears

🔥Kai sat beside you but kept his distance. “What happened?”

🔥You only shook your head. “Just sibling stuff. Cole’s being a jerk.” You hated it, but you began to cry again

🔥Kai reluctantly wrapped an arm around your shoulder, testing the waters. You didn’t push him away, so he assumed you were comfortable with his actions.

🔥He asked what Cole had done, and let you lean into his side as you told him

🔥He let you ramble on about your little sibling-bickering, and he even brought you a glass of water when you were finished

🔥You could tell Kai was reluctant to comfort you, but you couldn’t be any more grateful for his actions. You didn’t know each other well but he was still willing to check on you and comfort you when you needed it.

🔥In the end, him comforting you brought the two of you pretty close and you made an attempt to hang out with Kai more often

I’ve been getting a lot of Dad Jay AUs on my dash recently, and all I have to say is that I absolutely adore it. Then I remembered that I also made a Ninjago 2nd Gen. So I’m going to toss my hat into the ring and show y’all what I made.

Gaia - oldest human, leader, master of earth, daughter of Cole (She/Her/They/Them)

Aspen - is actually the oldest, master of ice, child of Zane and Pixal (They/Them)

Storm - the chaotic one, just like Jay, twin sister to Caspian, master of lightning, daughter of Jay and Nya

Caspian - most unhinged, twin brother to Storm, older twin, master of water, son of Jay and Nya

Ryu - the youngest, somehow the shyest, master of fire, son of Kai and Skylor

This is a ninjago fic taking place immediately after dotd that focuses on Jay and Morro. In this au they are twins that were separated and lost in time, only now learning about their shared history

This is a limited life fic in which Grian is stuck in a timeloop that is reset every time he dies “incorrectly.” Lots of emotional hurt/comfort as he trial-and-errors his way through the story we know and love

Taking that Risk, Start Learning to Live will be updating Saturdays

This is a Nimona fic that pics up immediately post-canon as Nimona adjusts to a life not spent alone. Her, Ballister, and Ambrosius are trying to figure out how to support each other when all their worlds have been entirely uprooted. Very fluffy and lots of fun
