Steve Rogers x Reader, romantic relationship, where reader is also from the 40s, but, like Steve made it to present day. They were engaged before the war, but you know, life got in the way, but now it’s their wedding! Hope that’s fine, and that I did it right this time XD💕”

It took ninety years to get here, and it was the most peculiar way, too. Maybe it was fate, or maybe you just got lucky. After everything you’d been through, you still made it here.

“The Ninety-Year Engagement, huh?” You clinked your champagne glass against Steve’s with a light chuckle. “Could be one of those dramatic TV shows we’ve been watching.” Your newlywed husband kissed your temple with a smile, loving your sense of humor despite the circumstances.

“No rush, right?” He joked back, watching your wedding guests from his seat, mostly Avengers and affiliates.

“No, not at all, that’d be foolish,” you rested your hand on his and laced your fingers under his palm, “it’s crazy where a couple of experiments will land you, right? The twenty-first century wasn’t a guess of mine.”

“I still think you’re crazy for choosing cryosleep after the War.” Steve sipped his drink and peered over at you out of the corner of his eye, waiting to see if he succeeded in offending you.

“Well, I still think you’re crazy for crashing a plane into the freezing ocean.” You shot back, leaning your head against his shoulder. “Just a couple crazy old souls, what do you think?”

“I think you and I ought to dance.” Steve rose from his seat to join the clamor on the dance floor as your wedding guests cheered you all on, insisting on ditching the outdated music you picked for something more modern. It’d be a hoot trying to figure out how to move to this new stuff.

Hi guys!

I’m so sorry that I’ve been so absent and slow with my updates and fics lately. I have had zero motivation, not just for fics but writing in general, and my interests have also been shifting away from Marvel and stuff on to new things.

So with that I’m telling you I will be moving my writing and fanfiction over to it’s own separate blog. Right now I’m just not interested in fanfic enough for it to be my main, so this will become my personal blog instead. You might notice I’ve changed the username of this blog, so the fanfic blog will still be @storiesbystarlight , so if you’re looking for my fanfics they’ll be there from now on. I’ve also decided to scrap all the requests in my inbox, so if you had a request pending, I’m very sorry. If I’m ever feeling up to it, I may open requests back up again, but that will be on the new writing blog.

I’ll still be here, but it will be more of my own space for all the random, weird ass fandoms I’m in. More of a Stella blog rather than just the fanfic stuff.

I hope some of you will stick around, if not that’s totally okay, and maybe one day I’ll get back into the fanfic ring, but until then I hope you’ve enjoyed the works I’ve written for myself and all of you.

The loud explosion that rattles through Shuri’s lab startles you, to say the least. You flinch at the sound, and your eyes widen as you sprint to the building, rushing to Shuri’s aid. You burst through the doors, expecting there to be some sort of threat, for Shuri to be in danger, but to your surprise, you find Shuri alone in the lab, desperately trying to fan out some flames erupting from one of her work benches.

“Shuri!” you exclaim, rushing to her side. You desperately look around you for anything to help Shuri, and you ask, “Are you okay?” 

“Yes, I’ve got it under control.” Shuri tells you, the flames still dancing out at her as she struggles to put them out. You frown, raising an eyebrow at her.

Slowly, you ask, “Are you being sarcastic?” 

“Me? Sarcastic? Never.” Shuri scoffs, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. Finally pointing at the corner, Shuri exclaims, “The fire extinguisher is there!” 

You lunge into action, scrambling to grab the small device. You hand it to Shuri, who quickly activates it, putting out the mini explosion. As the flames quickly die down, Shuri lets out a sigh of relief, before turning to you with a teasing smile, “You were so slow, you almost let my whole lab burn down.”

“Seriously?” you splutter, and Shuri laughs. “You’re the one who started the fire! What are you even doing in here?” 

“Just trying out new things.” Shuri grins, wiggling her eyebrows at you as her eyes sparkle with excitement. You love how enthusiastic Shuri gets about her new inventions, and you’re always eager to hear about them. “Want to see?”

“Depends.” you tap your chin. “Are you going to blow us up?”

“I’ll try not to.” Shuri jokes, and the two of you dissolve into laughter.

Hello! I’ll start of by saying, I absolutely adore A Peculiar Fellowship! It’s one of, if not the best series I’ve read, and I love it so much! If possible, I’d love to be added to the tag list?

I also had a lore question regarding the series. Since Y/N’s powers are growing to become on level with Galadriel, does she have a sort of sense of what’s happening with Arwen in Rivendell? Maybe not specifics, but knows something is wrong with her sister? Or do her powers not work in that way? I hope you don’t feel pressured to answer, I’m just curious.

That's a good question! I haven't gotten that far in developing her powers to be quite honest 😂 But I was considering more like she senses her present circumstances, and the things happening immediately around her, so she might not be able to sense what's happing with Arwen.

But! I won't say for certain because I've been known to change my mind on a whim, so we'll see what happens 😁😁

ehhh im not so much worried about that as i am taika waititi leaning too much on ragnarok’s success and just making a complete fool out of everyone in this movie for shits and giggles. i did like ragnarok a ton but like its just easy to do the same shit again with this movie

BEING BUCKY’S SISTER WHO’S A NURSE, AND DATING PEGGY:

You and Bucky are incredibly close, and he’s very protective of you, and takes his role as your brother very seriously

Being pretty good friends with Steve, and the three of you love to hang out, watch movies, go to the local diner or just generally cause mischief

You had gone to school for nursing and Bucky was super supportive of you

“Well, seeing as you and Steve are always getting into trouble, you need someone to properly patch you up.” “Hey, can’t complain about that.” 

When the war rolls around, Bucky enlists and you’re also recruited as part of the war effort

You and Steve having to say goodbye to Bucky when he gets shipped out, which is a little painful

“Seriously, Buck, don’t do anything stupid.” “And you too, y/n. I’ll stay safe, promise.”

You actually didn’t get shipped off to the war straight away, and were actually sent to help out at Camp Lehigh with Steve, which is where you met Peggy

You’re immediately attracted to her, and also super impressed by her status and her personality

You find yourself a stammering, flustered mess around her, much to Steve’s amusement

“If Bucky could see you now, it’d be hilarious.” “It’s a good thing he’s not here, I’d never hear he end of it.” 

Peggy thinks you’re adorable, especially since she’s very aware of how flustered you get around her

Her asking you out, and the two of you going out on a secret date together, where you only fall for each other more

Peggy loves how caring you are, and also how you always try to help everyone around you

Going to Europe together to help with the war

Bucky and Steve being the only two people to know about your relationship

He tried flirting with her of course when he first met her, but after finding out you’re together, he immediately backs off and is super respectful of your relationship

Him being very happy for you when you tell him the story, and he thinks you’re the perfect couple

Peggy always tries to help you when you’re tending to the wounded soldiers, ordering for people to bring you medical supplies when you need it

And she’s also there for you when you get some down time, massaging your shoulders because you’re always overworking yourself

“These men are lucky to have you, you know. You’re saving lives.” “Well, they’re not as lucky as I am to have you.”

Steve had to be the one to break the news to you, and you were absolutely devastated 

You were so crushed over the loss of your brother, and completely inconsolable, and you wanted nothing more than to be left alone

Peggy stayed by your side though, holding you while you cried, and you felt so grateful to have her through such a difficult time

“I wish this horrid war could just be over.” “It will be soon, love, I promise.” 

You always think to yourself that meeting Peggy is the only good thing to have come out of this war

You always tell each other how much you love one another, because each day you have together is so precious

Spending nights talking about your future together, and imagining your lives without the war, full of happiness, love and peace
