SteveTonyHorrorFest2022
i luuuuuv halloween. here are my fills for the @stevetonyhorrorfest
“The perfect son”
Prompt: “Never satisfied with his disappointing son, Howard experiments on Tony throughout Tony's childhood in his quest to make the perfect son and perfect human being”
Steve brought down the shield on Tony's head in civil war.
Tony survived due to his "modifications". Steve didn't know and feels...
Ashamed of himself. Relieved that Tony's not dead. Sickened about the reason why. Disgusted by himself of being glad Tony has them.
----------------------TW: BLOOD AND ORGANS----------------------
“The living animatronic”
Prompt: “Steve and Tony go to a haunted house for Halloween. The displays make Steve genuinely unsettled, but Tony won't shut up about how badly all of the animatronics are built -- until they come across an actual dead body.”
Not my best work of art but anyway:
They enter the "Ultron's Halloween Haunted House!". Where a maniac is trying to build the ideal alive looking animatronic and uses human body parts to perfect his latest invention: the living animatronic!
Incorporated flesh and machine together! (I took inspiration from Iron Man Darkhold) So the "corpse" inside the machine is very much still barely alive.
Animated by mechanisms and electric stimuli. The things unnatural human voice echoes: "...kiLlll....mEeeEe..."

Awooooo, welcome to the first ever Steve/Tony Horror Fest, a no-commitment fanwork gift event for Steve/Tony and Steve & Tony works focusing on all things horror!
This event is open to ALL universes and ALL fanworks. As a reminder, there are two parts to STHF: treat bags and communal feast. You’ll find more info about both below. Neither has any minimum work requirements to meet in order to participate, and you can choose to do one or both events.
Treat bag sign-ups and communal feast prompt submissions are open from now until August 31, 11:59 PM ET (what time is that for me?). From September 1 through October 30, 11:59 PM ET (what time is that for me?), people will be able to fill treat bags and communal feast prompts that catch their eye. All of the gifts will then be revealed on October 31.
Here’s a quick summary about treat bags and communal feast for those of you hearing about Steve/Tony Horror Fest for the first time. Please read the event guidelines and FAQ carefully before you sign up for a treat bag or submit any prompts to the communal feast.
TREAT BAGS (SIGN UP HERE)
Think fandom stockings, the no-commitment spinoff of gift exchanges. You can sign up to have a treat bag and instead of filling your bag with Halloween candy, people will fill them with all kinds of fanworks and non-fannish goodies. You don’t need to fill other people’s treat bags if you sign up (though it would be nice if you do), and you DO NOT need to sign up to gift people treats. Please note that this event is 18+.
COMMUNAL FEAST (SUBMIT PROMPTS HERE)
Similar to the Community Gifts part of @cap-ironman’s Holiday Exchange, this event doesn’t involve sign-ups. Everyone is welcome to submit prompts anonymously and once the list goes up, anyone can create fills based off of the prompts. On Halloween, we’ll all gather to feast on the gifts made for the community. This event is open to all ages.
If you have any questions after reading the guidelines and FAQ, you can send an ask/DM via Tumblr, DM via Twitter, or email [email protected].

This is an excerpt from a WIP about Endgame Steve getting unstuck in time after a confrontation with Loki when he’s returning the stones leads to Loki casting a spell on him that goes awry.
I’m sharing this as a @stevetonyhorrorfest treat for @ishipallthings, who had "Steve or Tony becoming unstuck in time, cannot stay in one 'time' for very long" as a prompt in her treat bag. Jen, I saw that and got reminded of my sorry attempt at that premise last year (or was it this year?). I hope you don't mind that I'm gifting this to you even though it was something I started a while ago. I haven't shared this with anyone and honestly, I don't know how to write this story so this excerpt probably wouldn’t have seen the light of day otherwise, at least not anytime soon. Here goes nothing!
---
The second but not last time in his life that Steve finds himself somewhere he has never been before with no idea where he is or how he got there, he’s miles away from where he was last in every possible way. In a blink, the barren desert has been replaced by a field so picturesque, it’s as though he stepped out of reality and into an oil painting. The sun is high in the cloudless sky, bright but pleasantly mild. Grass rolls out in every direction, an uninterrupted sea free of any weeds or dry patches. Everything is still. Everything is perfect.
In the corner of his eye, he spots a riot of color, flowers in mature bloom, and movement in the distance. A pregnant woman bends down in the garden next to an unfamiliar house, the brim of her large sun hat drooping past her cheek, her white dress stretching across her large stomach.
Steve has only enough time to wonder who she is and where on Earth he is—if this is even Earth—before he disappears.
A second later, the woman places her palm over the swell of her stomach as she brings her face close to a rose bush. Other than two flattened patches of grass many feet away, too far for her to ever notice, it’s as if Steve was never there.
—-
The world flickers in and out like the signal is bad, or rather he’s the bad signal. Sometimes he stays long enough for other people to notice him, for him to take in his surroundings and even walk around. Other times, the world only stays put for a second and he’s gone by the time he blinks.
A black-tie event in a ballroom.
A long hall of paintings in a museum.
A busy parking lot next to a hospital.
An empty nursery room.
The same empty nursery room.
The same room again and again, but with another man present this time, his back to Steve, an infant peeking over his shoulders.
“There now, Master Tony,” the man says and breath rushes out of Steve before he can even try to hold it in. The man—Jarvis, Steve remembers—turns around, alarmed, and Steve has to disappear, but he can’t leave. He can’t leave this time, not when Tony is here and he can’t lose him again—
—-
Moonlight spills like milk across the carpet, a long puddle stretching from the tall windows to the center of the nursery, when Steve reappears and instinctively he moves his feet away so as not to wet his feet in it even though he doesn't need to. The room is empty once more, this late at night—or almost is. There’s a tiny snuffling noise and adrenaline kicks to life, pounding through him, making him surge forward on weak legs.
Tony is wide awake, his blanket kicked half off of him, and he lets go of his bunny plushie’s ear in surprise when Steve looks down at him.
He shouldn’t take him out of bed. Not when he doesn’t know what's going on with himself. Not when he doesn’t know how long he can stay, but he can’t help it. Tony is alive and here after death and Steve didn’t think he would see Tony again in his lifetime.
Tony is mercifully quiet when Steve scoops him up and sinks into the rocking chair next to the crib. He’s warm, so warm, a solid weight in his arms. Real, his brain registers. This is real. Tony is real.
“Hey, Tony,” he says hoarsely. His throat is scraped raw. “Long time no see.”
Tony makes a small sound in reply, placing his hand on one of the lower arms of the star on Steve’s chest, only inches away from his heart, and for the first time since Tony died, Steve weeps.
#stevetony#stony#superhusbands#steve/tony#stevetonyhorrorfest#stonyhorrorfest#my words#my fics#i guess this can stand alone so i'll use that tag but it's a part of a larger story

Happy Halloween, everyone! Thank you to all of you who participated in the inaugural Steve/Tony Horror Fest.
Although the event has ended, you can still fill treat bags and communal feast prompts. For treat bags, leave a comment in the recipient's bag and I'll inform the recipient as they may not check their treat bags after reveals. For communal feast fills, email [email protected] or send an ask/DM via Tumblr or DM via Twitter so that I can share the fill on Tumblr and Twitter and update the master list of works. You can also post the fill to the Horror Fest event AO3 collection.
See all the treats and fills below:
ART
“horrors unknowable but fuckable” - @amysnotdeadyet/swtalmnd An 8-bit remix of “horrors unnameable and unaccountable” and The Me You Love in the Dark. When Steve finally overcame his nervousness and asked Tony out, he was somehow not expecting his lover to be an eldritch horror, mutated in the womb by the Tesseract. But that didn't mean he wasn't into it.
Monster Tony and Steve embracing - lomku/@oluka
“The perfect son” - Kota RiverRoad/@unstable-river (also on Twitter) Prompt: "Never satisfied with his disappointing son, Howard experiments on Tony throughout Tony's childhood in his quest to make the perfect son and perfect human being"
“The living animatronic” - Kota RiverRoad/@unstable-river (also on Twitter) Prompt: “SteveTony go to a haunted house for Halloween. The displays make Steve genuinely unsettled, but Tony won't shut up about how badly all of the animatronics are built - until they come across an actual dead body"
Peanuts-inspired Steve and Tony running away a vampire in a cemetery - lomku/@oluka
FIC
- 616
“Elements” - Albuss When Steve Rogers is found in the ice, it isn't pretty. It isn't pretty at all.
“Early Onset” - Albuss It's Halloween. Tony doesn't know that. It's not his fault.
“Mirror Mirror” - ralie Tony and Steve stumble upon a cursed mirror that pulls Tony into its dark interior. Things might be simpler if Steve knew that Tony was Iron Man or if the key to getting Tony out wasn't something Tony wants to avoid at all costs, even if it means he stays inside the mirror forever.
“Puppet Master” - @nostalgicatsea Time flies when you're having fun or so the saying goes, but Tony can't say that he's enjoying himself if he can't remember any of it, even if the way that Steve looks at him now is everything he's dreamed of for years.
Excerpt from a 616 sentient armor and Steve in the ice WIP - ralie Prompts: - The sentient armour can't get Tony to comply to its demands. It realises Tony loves Steve and decides that hurting Steve will make Tony do whatever it wants. - Steve was awake during the ice. Tony finds out in a very bad way.
- MCU
“another look (to know for sure)” - @ishipallthings The first time Steve sees Tony again, he’s in his garden planting daffodils.
“Blood Red, Snow White” - SummerKnight717 Vampires. Of all things it had to be vampires. Mix an ancient artifact, incompetent cultists, and a way too curious playboy-billionaire-genius, and the Avengers are left with a problem that is weird even by their own standards. In which things go surprisingly well...till they really really don't.
Excerpt from “Second Turn of a Broken Clock” - @nostalgicatsea Endgame Steve getting unstuck in time after a confrontation with Loki when he’s returning the stones leads to Loki casting a spell on him that goes awry.
“sometimes it scratches like barbs” - @ishipallthings The back of Steve’s throat tickles in a warning.
“The house on the fifth” - lomku/@oluka Stark Mansion has stood empty since 1991. Decades later, Steve Rogers steps inside, and ends up face-to-face with Tony Stark, who, by all accounts, should be dead.
“these bruises leave a trail” - @ishipallthings Tony pretends he doesn’t think of that night.

Remember, this is a no-commitment and hopefully no-pressure event. Everyone is welcome to fill treat bags or communal feast prompts; you do NOT need to sign up to do so, and you can choose to do one or both events. There are NO minimum work requirements for either event, and there is NO penalty if you don't finish your fill.
ALL universes and ALL fanworks are accepted. Fanworks include but are not limited to art, fanmixes, fanvids, fics and other creative writing such as poems, filks, graphics/edits, gifsets, manips, meta, mood boards, music, podfics, rec lists, and web weaving.
Treat bags and communal feast prompts are open for fills until October 30, 11:59 PM ET (what time is that for me?). All of the gifts will then be revealed on October 31.
Here’s a quick summary about treat bags and communal feast for those of you hearing about Steve/Tony Horror Fest for the first time. Please read the event guidelines and FAQ carefully before you fill treat bags or communal feast prompts.
TREAT BAGS (MASTER LIST HERE)
Think fandom stockings, the no-commitment spinoff of gift exchanges. Instead of filling someone’s bag with Halloween candy, you can fill them with all kinds of fanworks and non-fannish goodies. To go through the treat bags by universes, tropes, other fandoms, other characters and relationships, specific fanwork requests, and non-fandom requests, please see the tag list. Unless otherwise stated, treat bags are open to all fanwork fills. This event is 18+.

Puppet Master
Time flies when you're having fun or so the saying goes, but Tony can't say that he's enjoying himself if he can't remember any of it, even if the way that Steve looks at him now is everything he's dreamed of for years.
Here’s a ficlet I wrote for @magicasen for @stevetonyhorrorfest and @lightsonparkave round 38! I was inspired by these prompts in magic's Steve/Tony Horror Fest treat bag:
616: Steve or Tony have to fight off possession
616: Tony begins to go insane after encountering an Eldritch being
Read on AO3 or Dreamwidth (378 words).

Steve/Tony treat bags 🎃🍬🍭
Have you checked out the list of treat bags yet? If you don't have time to making something, drop some “candy!” Treats can be tiny things like pics of animals, your favorite recipes, book recs, etc. and don't need to be horror-related!
Or perhaps the better question for those of you hearing about Steve/Tony Horror Fest for the first time is...
What ARE treat bags?
They’re basically like the Halloween equivalent of fandom stockings, the no-commitment spinoff of gift exchanges. Instead of filling someone’s bag with candy, you can fill them with all kinds of fanworks and non-fannish goodies.
You can see what people requested in terms of universes, tropes, other fandoms, other characters and relationships, specific fanwork requests, and non-fandom requests through the tag list. Unless otherwise stated, treat bags are open to all fanwork fills!
Everyone is welcome to participate at any time, and it’s very easy to do so because:
There are NO minimum work requirements
There is NO limit to the number of treats you can drop in someone’s bag and NO limit to the number of bags you can fill
You do NOT need to sign up to participate and therefore there’s NO penalty if you don’t submit anything
ALL universes and fanwork types are welcome
You can submit treats now through October 30, 11:59 PM ET (what time is that for me?) and everything will be revealed on October 31, Halloween. To see how to submit prompts, read this post and FAQ.
Please note this event is 18+.

Steve/Tony horror prompts 🧛👻
It's getting closer and closer to Halloween! Why not get into the spooky spirit by perusing this delicious list of Steve/Tony horror prompts and making something to celebrate for the Steve/Tony Horror Fest’s Communal Feast?
What IS the Communal Feast, you ask?
Similar to the Community Gifts part of @cap-ironman’s Holiday Exchange, people submit prompts anonymously and anyone and everyone is welcome to create fanworks based on any of the prompts. There’s no limit to the number of people who can fill a prompt and no limit to the number of prompts you can fill.
Everyone is welcome to participate at any time, and it’s very easy to do so because:
There are NO minimum work requirements
You do NOT need to sign up to participate and therefore there’s NO penalty if you don’t submit anything
ALL universes and fanwork types are welcome
You can submit works now through October 30, 11:59 PM ET (what time is that for me?). Everything will then be revealed on October 31, Halloween, and we’ll feast on the gifts made for the Steve/Tony commuinty. To see how to submit works, read this post and FAQ.

Treat Bag Sign-up Google Form
There is now a Google form for treat bag sign-ups if anyone wants to use that instead of the DW sign-up form! As before, please read the "Treat Bags" section of the intro post and the "General" and "Receiving Treats" sections in the FAQ before signing up.
The treat bag sign-up post has been updated with the link to the Google form as well in case you lose track of the Google form link or this post.
Hopefully that will make things easier if anyone was having any trouble signing up. If you want to stick with the form in the sign-up post, you can still do so—and I'll be grateful as it makes things easier for me. It's straightforward even if you don't know HTML! Both sign-up methods are valid, but please only sign up using one of the methods.
