14. Anything they both dread?

Probably that they’ll end up falling back into old patterns. Which they wouldn’t, but because they already had a crack at the relationship before and that went up in flames, I could see in the beginning there being a fear every now and then of whether it’s a waste of time because they’ll wind up right back where they did the first time.

26. How do their friends feel about their relationship? Their families?

I think their friends would be fine about it. They’ve had front-row seats to both Jamie and Keeley’s growth, and would have seen the buildup to the relationship as well, so it’d make sense to them. Roy wouldn’t be a fan, but too bad, he had his shot!

I personally like to believe Jamie brought Keeley up to meet his mom at some point while they were dating and that his mom naturally adored her, so she’s like THANK GOD YOU’RE BACK TOGETHER. James, who cares. I really don’t have a read on what Keeley’s parents are like. Judging by Roy’s statement that they didn’t open their bottle of celebratory wine “even when” Keeley’s mom moved back up north, I’d say she’s not close to her parents, so what their opinions are or aren’t might not be super relevant. Jamie’s quite charming, though, so I’d guess they’d take a liking to him sooner or later.

36. What’s their greatest strength as a couple? Their weakness?

Canonically they seem to be pretty in sync. Like their only major problems that we saw were Jamie not owning his mistakes and Keeley being in a complacency/maturity rut. Outside of that, they both know how to play the game, they both enjoy the spotlight, they both got to where they are on their own merits, they both have incredible amounts of drive and ambition, they both are often very light and silly, etc. So, now that they’ve both grown out of those major problems that they used to have, they’re very well-suited for one another.

This one's relevant-adjacent because technically the reason I was listening to it is because my gf and I were on a sorta long car ride yesterday so we were listening to our spotify blend playlist and it's one of the songs we both listen to BUT the reason it's on there for me is because of that MMMM fanvid lmao so it's also because of that. My gf is aware that that is the reason and she thinks it's funny.

currently watching: A collection of Fox network cooking reality shows? We are watching the new season of Crime Scene Kitchen and that reminded us that we fully missed the new season of Next Level Chef which put me in the mood to watch old seasons of Masterchef because I simply think Gordon Ramsay is the funniest TV personality. He's 11 catchphrases in a trench coat and they are all so stupid.

currently reading: I simply have not had the time to start anything longer than a medium length fanfic these days because my life is crazy, so I've mostly been reading that lmao. I do have to drive home from Michigan by myself next Sunday though so I will need an audiobook to make the drive bearable. I'm open to suggestions.

current obsession: it's pretty much still hockey rn? I'm not super into anything else at the moment and if I can hold onto this for the rest of the summer I think it can carry through next season too. But I might dip back out for a bit when the new season of the Witcher drops.

Last night, not for any particular reason.

Nope.

Very often, as I'm sure my friends can attest.

It depends, honestly! Hairstyle, a lot of the time; sometimes their outfits, sometimes their jewelry if they're wearing any (my eyes are always drawn to cool earrings).

6) What’s your eye colour?

Brown.

7) Scary movie or happy ending?

Happy ending, hands down.

8) Any special talents?

I can always make little kids laugh (I have a handful of tricks that work every time).

9) Where were you born?

Wisconsin.

10) Do you have any hobbies?

Tennis, writing (fic and original), reading, making playlists for my ships, getting Far Too Invested in film/tv awards season, slowly making my way through all of Tom Cruise's filmography.

Yes! I have a Golden Retriever named Toby, he's a sweetheart but also Very Evil. My little motherfluffer.

I played tennis in high school and college, and I was on the volleyball team in middle school (back when none of my peers had really hit their growth spurts yet lol). I still play beach volleyball when I'm on vacation; it's a fun time even though I'm not very good.

1. How many fandoms have you written in?

40? At least according to ao3, but some of those are weird because they exist within the same universe but are different fandoms tags for different media (like with comics and Star Wars), plus some unfinished/unpublished stuff that's still on my computer and will probably never been seen by another person

2. How many years have you been writing fanfiction?

My first published fic was 2016 or 2017 I think. So around seven.

3. Do you read or write more fanfiction?

Read for sure, it's a problem.

4. What is one way you've improved as a writer?

Hopefully everything. But I've been actively trying to work on stuff like research and outlining, as well as emotions.

5. What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Jewelry, specifically earrings, worn in Romania in the 1400s for a Castlevania/MLB crossover fic. I was neck deep in pdfs of archeology reports.

6. What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

Any comment is an amazing comment. But my favorite is when people point out specific details or tell me how they felt about the chapter on a personal level. Also re-read comments because what do you mean you love my fic enough to read it more than once??

7. What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?

I am forever a crossover girlie. See Q5, which might be my wackiest crossover yet, but is my no means my only. Stuff like Criminal Minds + Supernatural are fairly standard, and I'm not the only one to write Ted Lasso + Leverage but the Old Guard + the Mechanisms? Weird.

8. What is the hardest type of story for you to write?

Long fics and especially multi chapters are very hard because of my attention span, but it helps to keep a couple going at a time I've found.

Also, romance. I've written a lot of it and yet I don't think I'm good at it.

9. What is the easiest type?

Stuff I know. I'm always going through life asking myself would this moment in my life make a good fic? And the answer most of the time is yes.

10. Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?

Crosslegged on my bed, in my beanbag chair, the floor, the couch, where ever feels comfortable really. Google Docs, although I am also looking to find another platform to write on that words well. I write when I should be doing other stuff, mostly.

11. What is something you've been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?

Every fandom I'm in, I dream up three aus: a Leverage fusion, a sense8 fusion, and a Pacific Rim fusion. I'm a fusion girlie too. I've written a single Leverage au back when I was doing Torchwood, but no others have gotten past the drabbles and scribbled notes stage.
