A few pages from a 2016 booklet promoting Inuit art from Dorset Fine Arts, which operates under the West Baffin Eskimo Cooperative.
"Established in 1959, West Baffin Eskimo Cooperative has enjoyed an international reputation for the exquisite prints, drawings and carvings created by its Inuit artist members. In addition to operation of the Kinngait Studios at the Kenojuak Cultural Centre in Kinngait, the cooperative maintains a Toronto marketing division office, Dorset Fine Arts, which is responsible for interfacing with galleries, museums, cultural professionals, Inuit art enthusiasts and the art market globally. The role of West Baffin Eskimo Cooperative has significantly expanded to include communications, promotion, advocacy, government relations and special projects as related to the Inuit art of Kinngait. Governed by an all-Inuit Board of Directors, the organization also maintains a local retail grocery/hardware store, a restaurant, rental properties and various utility contracts. As a community owned organization, practically all Kinngait adults are shareholders, profits are distributed back to the community in the form of annual dividends."

A naked Taukai lady showed up bragging about how she's a "DaRk ScHoLaR" and can make fleshbeasts. Must suck to be naked and ugly and not even have "being the smartest person in the colony" as your redeeming feature.
We still let her stay. We can probably take her out if it comes down to it.
I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but Kwahu is perfect, and I love him <3
In fact, he's perfect enough that we decided to finally address the Jones boys' whining that they don't have a Moral Guide. Welcome to your new job, Kwahu!

Weird tip for building in survival Minecraft: Don't build a storage room. In my experience, if I make a big house with a few pretty rooms that do nothing, and a big ugly storage room, I spend all my time in the big ugly storage room because that's where everything useful is and I have no practical reason to go into any of the other rooms. Instead, depending on the scale of your build and how many resources you gather, you can place chests and barrels in decorative ways throughout your base and fill them with items appropriate to the room in some way. For example, a smelting/stonecutting room could include your furnaces, a compact stone generator, and maybe an entrance to your strip mine. In this room though, you can include storage for your stone blocks, metals, and furnace fuel. This system makes sorting your items easier, removes a potentially unappealing room from your plans, and gives you reason to visit all of the pretty rooms you spent hours decorating!
#musings#minecraft#not the first person to think of this but i like this approach#i'm building a castle in survival that's going to have lots of functional rooms#i'm going to have the smelting/stonecutting room i used as an example here#the idea is i can throw a ton of stuff into my furnaces and mine stone in the same room while i wait#it's gonna be so useful

hi this is my current and soon to be retired fort of fishconstructs
#fort started out bc i wanted to build more population in my civ#bc being capped at 80 dwarves n then having ur population overran by bird poeple sucks for ur dwarves#mainly bc the bird poeple cant do half the labours the dwarves can#and u cant really assign them to anything specific#i always wanted to try fully focusing on building a fort#to figure out the process n whatnot#most of my fort is subsidised by trading for any good that i didnt want to waste labour on#so id have 1 dwarf working on rock crafts and 1 dwarf cutting n encrusting those crafts with gems#maybe 5 dwarves on stonecutting? 3 for bricks 2 for furniture#2 dwarves focusing on food#which was well more than enough to supply 20 dwarves with armour and the rest ~60 with food and drink#i kinda just ran out of stuff to build. most industries either require a specific spot to be in or are more efficient if u move#the workshops around#despite 100 dwarves non of them formed any actual religious sects#and they only ever wanted a farmers guild#which makes sense tbh most of my dwarves are unskilled labourers whos only job is to haul or build#but all that kinda leaves me with nothing to build. on the fort that only exists so i can build#idk what im gonna do for the next fort maybe ill finish the bugwar on the surface. i also wanna see how fast i can get myself setup on#the third cavern layer.

Encounter: The Bridgebuilder's Impasse
Frustrated with interruptions to the flow of commerce, a local caravan magnate has hired your party to slay the giant who's repeatedly destroyed the bridge spanning a turbulent river causing delays and costly detours across the realm. The one wrinkle to this otherwise straightforward mission is that the giant is the one who built the bridge in the first place, and rather than hunting a rampaging monster you and your companions have signed on to assassinate a beloved local artisan.
Whoever said “two heads are better than one” never met the giant Gilbult Gultib (or Gultib Gilbult, as he often insists) who far more embodies the adage “Every artist is their own worst critic”. Immensely talented in stonecutting and engineering, Gilbult (or Gultib depending on who you ask) has been building and rebuilding the same bridge for the better part of two centuries, sometimes letting it stand for a generation, sometimes scrapping it and starting over several times over the course of the same month.
With a perfectionist streak as wide as the river he's trying to cross, neither head can agree how, muchless when the bridge should be finished, agreeing only that what came before will be insufficient going forward and that they must return to the drafting board once again.
Adventure Hooks:
The locals are of divided opinion about Gultib Gilbult, most regard him as something of a curiosity, as much a fixture of the landscape as the river itself, while others see him as a gruff but otherwise pleasant neighbour or family friend. There's a very vocal minority that wish that he would get on with building the bridge, or else move and leave the maintenance to someone who won't tear it down on a whim, especially the merchants who end up paying an arm and a leg on unexpected barge fees. There's been an uptick in those actively calling for the giant to be driven off, all of which just so happen to be in the pay of the local quarry owner, who's in talks with the Caravan magnate about the construction of a tollbridge in the near future.
Having reached a new low of indecision, the giant has resulted to gambling with himself to decide the composition of this version of the bridge, anteing particular stones against himself in the hope that luck and strategy will let the superior side of his mind win out. This is just as much a stalemate as any other, but may present an opportunity for the party to resolve the situation without violence.
The tricky thing about accepting adventuring contracts from successful merchants is that they're VERY good at paperwork, and while this one did come with a sizeable advance, the fine print threatens numerous penalties (including debt and possible outlawing) if the party don't fulfill their end of the bargain and take out the giant in a timely manner.
