don't give up on fighting games, fighting games won't give up on you

I wanted to make a follow up post to my big spiel from the other night, because tonight really put things into perspective for me. strap in everyone, this is a long one

I played in the PRIDEFGC Strive bracket today, and I got absolutely rinsed. but it didn't feel bad, I lost and it didn't feel bad for the first time in a *looooong* time. In fact, I felt incredible about how i played today. round 2 in losers was against another Sol, and i lost because they were very patient and taking advantage of space and whiff punishing me for everything. but also, my pressure on offense was really good and I managed to take a round off of them! and round 1 was special, and something so important to me and to fighting games as a whole

my round 1 was a bit of a mess, online brackets are never perfect. start.gg in particular is a real stickler for checking in on time and DQ'ing people bc they didnt get an email or a discord notification immediately. it happens, and it gets worse the bigger the bracket, and it was a massive bracket. something like 2 40ish player pools? that's huge for an online *charity* event, its bigger than some locals.

I was really upset about this at first. i was feeling myself today. taking yesterday off to just vibe, eat a decent bento box from my local japanese restaurant and play a bunch of DBD was a really good break for me. and i woke up this morning, nearly forgetting that i had signed up. i was signed up for a bracket last night, my online local Dust Up, but i had been timed out from the server for being a real shithead to myself and generally being unhappy with fighting games, because i had mentally tied my self worth to them without realizing it. but today was different.

I got some work done, got my stream schedule up for the week, played some more DBD (with friends this time) and just enjoyed a nice day. and then I got the email for the bracket and was like "oh shit right, i should probably show up for that". so i booted up Strive and hopped into training mode to warm up. and you know what? that combo that i had been struggling with? the one that took me almost 200 times to get right just the once? i got it on my first try, with the Clean Hit Tyrant Rave even! and while i couldnt replicate the clean hit again, i got the combo 20 more times in a row without a single drop

and this was a real shock to me. i didnt play at all yesterday, and i felt like i wasnt getting anywhere with the game. i was considering even swapping characters again to see if there was something that i was missing, to see if there was some fun i could have somewhere else. but in the end, i dont think i need it anymore. what I really needed, and what everyone was telling me and what i refused to hear, was that i just needed to give myself some room to breathe. taking a *single* day off made me more consistent with this combo, it just gave it time to rest and settle into my brain and hands. it's all i needed, and it was right in front of me the entire time. i just couldnt get it through my head

after this revelation, and was FUCKING *STOKED* to get into bracket. I saw who my first opponent was, Hazel. i recognized the name, they had taken second in the Granblue bracket last night. they were so exciting to watch, i was rooting for them the whole time! how could i not? they were playing my wife Narmaya, i wanted them to win so badly. and after an INCREDIBLE grand finals, they ended up in second. i was a little sad to see them not make it all the way, but I was so thrilled to see such good gameplay last night, and I knew I was gonna get some good games from them today

so we got the whole bracket situated, i messaged her on discord to make sure we were still able to play, got it sorted with a TO and met up in the park. they pulled up with a level 800 Bedman? and i was so excited. it was, a strange feeling, being in bracket, seeing a player i knew was a monster pull up with a character 700 levels above mine, and to be *this* ecstatic to be squaring up. and I have no idea how to play against the bed. nobody plays this guy. and i went in expecting to get rinsed. which i did! but it wasn't actually all that bad on the surface. I managed to block the overhead jump-in for the first time *ever* tonight, and I did it 5 more times over the course of the set. i still got blown up for not blocking the slow overhead and bedman's lows are deceptively far-reaching, and i just wasn't sure how to adapt to those. but that's okay! i did some very good things today, and my pressure was clean enough to take a round off of this very high level player. im so proud of what ive done, and im happy that ive finally escaped the fog that was clouding my mind for so long

and after bracket, i got up, refilled my drink, and hopped into the tower. i was *hungry* for more games. and I got smoked by a Slayer. just absolutely rinsed. but! i caught on to their tricks pretty early, and started to 6S more often than i ever had, and got a lot of counterhits! slowly getting a feel for that matchup, even reading how they follow up after Dandy step and punishing it accordingly. i also got a ping in BAN from RKP, one of the TOs there, looking for games. i responded almost immediately, i wanted to scrap more. they asked for a ft5 at first, but wanted to know if i wanted a ft10. i declined, because i could tell that i was reaching my limit. another step towards progress!

he met me in the park, asking to take player 2 bc he wanted to work on player 2 side inputs. we both pulled up looking to work on stuff, as i wanted to try to implement some of the whiff punishing i was just subjected to by that Sol player. and I got rinsed *again*. but! I landed my corner combo!!! (almost, dropped the HVV at the end, but its still progress) and I also did the correct follow-up after the counter-hit meaty Fafnir setup for the first time! i was so happy, RKP is so fucking good at this game and an incredibly nice person as well. grappler players play like sickos, but they're so sweet in reality.

and this is what its all about. i love fighting games so much. no other community, no other hobby, no other sport will you get camaraderie like this. you won't get this anywhere else. the passion, the love, the friendships. you won't get it anywhere else. everyone's gonna have their bad days, their bad weeks, sometimes even their bad months. but if you just take a breath, take a few steps back, make sure you've taken care of yourself, it will all be okay.

Finding Your Place, pt. 1

The skylights let the mid-morning sun flood the WVBA Academy Gym. It was a typical Wednesday. Von Kaiser’s intermediate class was working in a couple of the rings under his stern and watchful gaze. 

Glass Joe and Disco Kid were sparring in another ring, Joe helping Disco on his form while Disco worked with Joe on reading his opponents quicker. 

And the loud thumps coming from heavy bags was King Hippo as he was getting ready for his title defense against Piston Hondo that was coming up.

But, no doubt the loudest and most attention drawing workout in the room was Luna Doll. She was in her element. Working the double-ended bag, she was dancing around, light on her feet, punching and dodging. Honing her skills, getting ready for her fight with Razor Sharp next week, wasn’t what attracted attention, though. No, that had more to do with her phone mounted on a nearby tripod.

“Now, Luna-tics, you know I ain’t sleepin’ on Baby Sands.” Luna was bobbing and weaving, the bluetooth mic clipped to her pink sports bra catching her every word. She was live streaming her workout, punching with precision, moving with grace, and talking with sass.

Her fans, her Luna-tics, were out in full force in the chat. Of course, she couldn’t see the chat while she was working the bag. But, she knew they were there, hanging on her every word, cheering her on as she trained for her biggest fight to date.

Luna snapped out a sharp jab, then slipped the bag when it sprang back at her, “Razor Sharp’s got that Sandman blood in her. Her old man’s a legend, Mister Sandman himself. That don’t mean she gets a pass, though.” A quick one-two shot the bag back and she danced to the right, popping off another jab, “Nah, fam! Just means she gets the whole #Hitmaker experience!”

They were brash words, but Luna couldn’t help herself. There was just something about talking trash during a stream and during a workout that got her amped, especially when she knew her fans were eating it up. Gliding back, Luna effortlessly slipped the bag as it rebounded, catching it with a clean right hook as she did.

“See that? See that?” Luna bobbed and weaved, then popped off a series of jabs as she danced around the bag, each one landing with a quick pop. “Lunatics, I’m stoked for this! No doubt, Baby Sands has got the size and the power and the experience, so we gonna lose some HP on this one.”

From the corner of her eye, Luna caught the gym doors opening. Niki Binary, decked out in a WVBA polo shirt and black slacks, lanyard around her neck, had walked in, scanning the gym with a purposeful gaze. Clearly, she was looking for someone.

Luna’s grin widened. “But, you know me, stay ready ain’t gotta get ready.” Popping off a few punches, slipping and dodging, Luna then caught the bag with her gloves and brought it to a stop before looking into the camera lens on her phone.

“No disrespect, Razor. I ain’t expecting to speedrun you or nothin’.” Luna pulled one of her gloves off, “But, you best not expect a ‘Flawless Victory’, either. I’m watchin’ your fights, workin’ hard, and come fight night, I’mma read like an old school strat guide. Straight GameFAQ’s, bay-bee!”

Niki was now standing behind the phone, trying not to laugh. Luna tossed her a wink as she finished up, “Alright, fam, I’ve got to go. Remember to like, share, subscribe, all that cool stuff. And, don’t forget the charity giveaway. Donate to Make-A-Wish using the link on the channel homepage and for every five dollars you donate, you get entered in a drawing to win my fight gloves from my debut against Razor Sharp a week from Saturday. Aight, Lunatics! We got Sonic 2 tonight. Until then, Luna, out!”

With a quick tap on her phone screen, Luna turned off the stream and turned her attention to Niki, her demeanor shifting from dynamic streamer to, somewhat, humble rookie boxer.

“Yo, Binary,” Luna smiled, then quickly corrected herself when Niki tapped her badge on her lanyard, “Sorry, sorry. Yo Nicole, what’s up? Forgot, Niki in the ring, Nicole on the clock. Sorry.”

“No worries,” Nicole smiled as Luna pulled off her other glove and started breaking down her streaming set-up. “Streaming your training, I see. Between the sneak preview you're giving away and the mad trash you’re dishing out, I think you might have a rough night with Razor.”

Luna looked up as she collapsed her tripod, “Oh, I’m counting on it. Look, Razor can get film on me as easy as I can on her. Plus, we both train here. Not worried about the preview.” Standing up, Luna stuffed the tripod in its bag, “Now, me puttin’ the mouth on her? Yeah, I thought about that. I figure she’s gonna try and knock my head off either way, so I might as well be entertaining.”

“Guess that’s one way to think about it,” Nicole just shook her head in disbelief. “Have you always streamed your training?”

“Oh yeah,” Luna's face lit up as she talked about her streams. “From when I was getting set for my first influencer fight. My first punch, my first spar, all of it. And every time I struggled, every time I broke down and cried, my viewers were there for me. They’ve had my six the whole time. They’re my ride or die. Keeps me motivated, and maybe I motivate them a little. I like to think I do anyways.”

Nicole smiled and nodded as a single word crossed her mind. Sessatakuma. She understood Luna’s feelings all too well.

Luna finished zipping her bag, “But, I know you didn’t come here just to watch me stream live and in person. What’s up? Here for me?”

“Yeah,” Nicole pulled out her work phone. “Just needed to follow-up on the work we did to your apartment wi-fi. How’s it looking now? No dropped frames?”

“Not. A. One!” Luna’s eyes shined with excitement. “No lags. No drops. Just pure, uninterrupted gaming. Tried it out last night on an old school Contra stream. Crushed it, b-t-dubs! You’re a lifesaver, Nicole.”

“Just doing my job,” Nicole tapped away at her phone, a look of professional pride on her face. “Let me just close this ticket out and…”

“Entschuldigung.” A deep voice spoke with gentle authority, interrupting the two boxers.

Slightly startled, both turned to see Coach Von Kaiser approaching, a light sweat built up from teaching his intermediate class. His German accent was unmistakable. “My apologies if I am interrupting, ladies.”

At that moment, it became apparent Luna was a little starstruck. “I, um, I don’t think we’ve been introduced properly.” Extending her hand, Luna bowed slightly, “Jia Park. I box under my screen name, Luna Doll. It’s an honor, sir.”

“Please, fräulein,” Von Kaiser returned the gesture as he shook her hand, “there is no need to be so formal. I’m simply a coach.”

Luna’s face shot up in disbelief, her voice louder than she intended. “Simply a coach?! You’re Viktor Von FREAKIN’ Kaiser! The German Steel Machine! Three-time Minor Circuit Champ! I’ve studied your title match trilogy with Piston Hurricane and, dude, epic is, like, too small a word.”

Nicole stood by, fighting back a laugh. She understood Luna’s fangirling entirely, but she also knew how uncomfortable it made her coach, especially with eyes from all over the gym, most of them agreeing with Luna, suddenly on him. Still, every once and a while, it was good for her mentor to get his flowers.

Before Von Kaiser could get any more embarrassed, Nicole finally saved him. “So, Coach, what can we help you with?”

“Ja… yes… um,” Von Kaiser quickly tried to gather his thoughts. “Wenig Stahl, I’ll be heading back to Munich for a few days, perhaps a week. I have business at the gym to address.”

“But,” Nicole looked confused for a moment, “I thought Vicky was holding things down while you were here.”

Luna, trying not to eavesdrop, finished packing her gear as Von Kaiser responded. “True, but Viktoria just turned 28 and she is eager to resume her in-ring career. She has a candidate to run the gym day-to-day and would like me to speak with him.”

“Seems fair,” Nicole nodded. “It’s exciting that Vicky’s looking to get back in the ring. She’s a beast! Can’t wait to see her pick up where she left off.”

“Actually,” Von Kaiser scratched his head for a moment, “I was hoping you would join me on the trip. I think a change of scenery and an opportunity to train with new people would be very good for you. And Viktoria would not forgive me if I didn’t ask.”

Nicole’s eyes went wide and her hands shot to her mouth to stifle a squeal. “You want me to go with you, to the Steel Heart Academy, to train. Seriously? Like, you’re serious right now?”

Coach Von Kaiser’s expression hardened slightly, “Ja. When have you known me to not be serious?”

“HA!”

Von Kaiser and Nicole both shot their gazes down at Luna.

“Sorry…” Luna’s gaze went down and she slowly zipped her bag.

“Okay, um,” Nicole’s mind was racing. “Yeah, of course! When do we leave?”

“Gut!” Von Kaiser clapped his hands together, “We leave tomorrow evening. I’ll meet you in the front lobby at 6 and we’ll head to the airport.”

Nicole nodded as she started tapping away on her phone, “Sounds good! I’ll get things straight with my boss in I.T. and see about using some of my vacation time.”

With a fatherly pat on the shoulder, Von Kaiser went back to his class. While Nicole swiped from one app to another, Luna shot back to a standing position, “Girl, you are getting to train at Steel Heart in Munich? With Viktoria Von Kaiser? As in the former Women’s European Super Lightweight Champ? I’m so jealous!”

“I know, right?” Nicole was almost trembling with excitement, “Vicky’s like a big sister to me. She helped me so much when I started taking boxing lessons from her dad. But, I’ve never been to their gym. This is… man! Look, I’ve gotta get to I.T. and make sure Eddie is good with me taking a week off.”

Nicole started out of the gym, turning and walking backwards, “Let me know if you have any more trouble with the wi-fi!”

“You got it, girl! Have fun! Be safe!” Luna shouted after her as Nicole made her way out of the gym. Luna tossed her bag over her shoulder, her own thoughts racing now. Man, it would be so rude. But, I might never…

With that, Luna took out her phone, tapping out a quick text. After all, she had to try.

But they need your help, okay? Bring your own hope, too. Bring your positivity and your """unrealistic""" desires for the future and your willingness to turn anger into energy into positive action, and it will be stoked and justified and amplified.

And please, please don't feel bad if you can't afford to donate anything! It's okay, you're still welcome! I've seen so many delightful "but next year…" threats/promises fulfilled with relish. Let it inspire you. Let it reassure you, make you laugh, refill your batteries. Let it help you look forward to next year. And the next.

Mega Goffik LGBTQA+ Charity Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way Cosplay Stream!!

Hey everybody! I am super stoked to announce that I am hosting a charity cosplay stream on Twitch! 

I will be cosplaying the infamous Ebony Dark’ness Dementia Raven Way of the best Harry Potter fanfiction in the world: My Immortal. I will unleash Enoby into the world of Hogwarts Legacy and bask in the chaos that ensues!

here are some events that lead up to the confession:

at the end of a set one night, Cheeky runs up to V excitedly and does one of the neck up things and goes “you did amazing!”

they had a movie night and it happened to be a really scary horror movie and at one of the jump scares, cheeky jumps up and goes “Nope! Not doing this shit!” But V pulls them back down unconsciously and forced them to stay

they gave the band really big idea on how to show off everyone

The band went on a stream one night and Cheeky passed out only for Dark or Blade to call V to carry them to bed

along with the charity, they would visit some of the kids and give them small gifts

and last but not least, their entire fan base started to pay lots of attention and thought that V and Cheeky were a little too close to be friends

Cheeky's addition to the band was big news and shot their popularity up the ranks.

And the music they started writing and performing altogether just displays their unity and clear genuine care for one another.

One of their albums is a personal song from each of them, written and performed with each displaying their individual skills. It's just a love letter to each other.

Their bandmates adore Cheeky and they're so kind people just straight up don't believe they're real.

It took a red carpet event where Cheeky's infectious magnetic personality drew people in. They were especially stoked when an artist they admired approached them...

He's suddenly inspired to write something for his Cheeky. To let them know how he felt, something just for them.

Hey Everyone!

How’ve you been?

Honestly, it’s been interesting in this neck of the woods. A lot’s gone on and I haven’t really made progress with this platform like I thought I would have. It’s not bad though. I did start supporting my sister in law through religiously watching her stream Fortnite for six months, made connections there that I’m proud to say I have, and started writing for charity blog too. My message is all about positivity and giving back to US & Allied service men and women who are both active duty and veteran status. The organization, StackUp, promotes positive mental health and focuses on stopping veteran suicide through gaming and geek culture. Cool, right? I’m stoked!

The first installment of this segment can be found in the news section here. So far there are five to be posted on Thursdays from here on out. I’m excited and honored that they trust me to represent them and hope you have a chance to show your support too.

Hey! I’m super stoked to announce that I’m working with lilsimsie and a TON of other streamers to raise money this week for AbleGamers! They’re an awesome charity that works towards making gaming more accessible to those with disabilities, whether that mean working directly with game developers to include more accessibility options with their games, or making specialized controllers for those who need them. Gaming is for everyone, and they’re really striving to make that a reality!

Although you were never part of the Stranger Things or IT universe

And despite what people thought, not all actors and actresses that shared your young age spoke together

So you and Finn didn’t even talk for a long time

You only even contacted him because you found out from Twitter that you and him coincidentally were fans of a lot of the same things

(Fun fact: Finn knew this for a long time, but he was too shy to reach out to you)

You slid into his DMs and were like “I heard you like this game?” 

And from then you two started talking and playing games together. 

You, Finn, and Gaten had a little squad where you’d play games together

It could be anything from PUBG to Uno Online. 

At one point you all had a charity livestream together than went on for 24 hours

You were hysterical 

You drank like ten energy drinks

“YOU NEED TO PLOW THE FIELD, FOR FUCK’S SAKE” - You, in the midst of playing Farming Simulator 2019 18 hours into the stream

“EAT A GIANT PILE OF SHUT THE FUCK UP” - Also you, in the midst of playing Uno 23 hours into the stream

Needless to say it would be hard to convince you to do a stream like that again

But you did raise a lot of money for good :)

At some point you flew over and had a sleepover with Finn

Gaten was supposed to come but he got sick :(

So it was just you and Finn

And since you’d never actually met in person it was a tiny bit awkward at first

But very naturally you got comfortable with each other, just cuddling on the couch whilst watching a movie 

After that sleepover (you had to leave the next day) you realized you had a crush on him

A huge one

And you were like “oh no, oh fuck, oh no” 

Because you were CERTAIN he didn’t like you back

Meanwhile Finn:

When you did start your little LAN party, you tried to just focus on the game

and it mostly worked

But then Gaten passed out at around 3 AM (it wasnt his fault, you and finn hogged all the energy drinks and besides you were playing an embarrassingly boring game)

You and Finn decided to peace out too

You were in the bathroom brushing your hair, when Finn knocked on the door

“Come in!”

He walked in, looking more flustered than usual. Your brows furrowed in confusion.

“I, uh, there’s something I’ve been meaning to talk to you about.” 

Now, you’re a fucking idiot, so your first thought was: Oh my god, has he figured out that I like him and hates me for it?

Thankfully, you were wrong

“I-I hope this doesn’t make this weird between us, but.. I really like you.. And I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date or something?” 

You were stunned. You could cry.

It took every ounce of self control to not just jump on him in a kiss right then and there

“I’d like that” you said. At your words, Finn’s eyes snapped up to meet yours. He was grinning and so were you.

After a 27 hour marathon stream, Miles (and company) raised $11.2k for Allgo, an LGBT+ PoC charity here in Texas and I’m so proud of him, myself and the rest of the support squad, and of course everyone who came by to watch, donate, and cheer us on. It was incredible. Y’all were incredible. He teared up at the end when he realized what everyone had donated. He was hoping to get maybe $1.5k and the community nearly gave that tenfold.

Allgo was apparently stoked to hear he was trying to raise $1500 and it makes me so happy to think about what their faces will look like when they hear they’re getting 11k! They’re going to be able to use it to help so many people who desperately need it here in TX which is getting progressively backward in racial and LGBT+ issues.

Seriously thank you SO MUCH everyone who came out. It was super cool and fun.

the story.

the d’ansembourg twins were a shock to the world, and maybe that’s the way that wren preferred things. from the moment he was born, he wanted to be an outsider. while his sisters were prim, proper and put together, and his brother an overemotional idiot, wren stood as a monument to the weird that most people kept hidden away, locked in a drawer for no one to see. 

he might have grown up in the palace, but he would escape as often as he could. wren craved normalcy in his early years, and he managed to achieve that by sneaking out a side door to play football in a side alley with the local kids. his friends that may not have been “approved” by his parents, but they were approved to show him about the world - the real world, not the one of royalty. 

wren thought of himself as separate from his siblings, and not just because he was the baby of the family, but because he was just... different. he didn’t care for politics, didn’t care for other royal activities. in his teen years, wren was practically a recluse to his family, hidden away in his dorm room at le rosey or his own private rooms in the grand palace, constantly feeling like the only puzzle piece that didn’t quite fit. 

wendy jokes sometimes that he must have been adopted, but wren is sure he wasn’t meant to be born into palaces and riches beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. 

while his parents always expected him to grow out of it, he did the opposite. he never stopped caring about the strange things he’d always regarded as more important that schoolwork. following lara to le rosey was one of the first truly “royal” things wren had done in his entire life, and he still managed to be awful at that. he was constantly in disciplinary hearings or getting shouted at by whichever teacher he pissed off with his detached attitude. but it didn’t crush his spirit at all, in fact, it only made him act out more. 

maybe it was an attention thing - that would explain the next ten years of his life that he’d spend vying for the favor of strangers over the internet to determine his own self worth, or whatever the therapist said. 

perhaps it was the years of his only friends being two kids raised by their laptop screens just outside the palace, or the hundreds of hours of looking at memes instead of actually doing as he was told, but something in wren made him want to do whatever he liked, no matter what others thought of him. 

when lara went off to oxford, wren took a gap year. and then another. and then another, and soon it had been five years - his sister had a master’s degree and he had a massive social media fanbase. he’s not sure which of them did better for themselves.

when his father died, wren realized that he was actually going to have to be a prince for the first time in his life. before, he’d let lara take the reins on anything and just showed up to parties in bright colored suits and weird patterned socks and ties that didn’t match. but now that his older brother was king: wren was expected to pull his weight. 

he was terrible at it, for starters. he said too much, threw jokes and lies out to the press just to see what they’d print the next day. he became somewhat of a cryptid for gossip columnists and tmz reporters, because if you could manage to catch him, wren would deliver biting remarks and hilarious anecdotes about the royalty around him. he loves to watch reporters scramble to confirm stories in any way they can. 

when nathalie died, he came back to luxembourg and found himself a bit aimless. he took up art during this time, making some really dark paintings and a whole lot of collage work, which he then had to convince luca to not hang up around the palace, because luca constantly plays at being everyone’s proud older brother. 

but he managed to pull the family back together, and things got easier, gradually. mainly, he helped everyone heal by not changing a thing - he stayed unabashedly strange through the entire ordeal, and in the process became a rock the others could rely on. 

maybe he wasn’t a misshapen puzzle piece, but just a weird one that took some time to figure out the location of. he didn’t feel like the outcast anymore, but instead a valued member of the family - and had they always treated him like that? he wasn’t sure - and that was the worst part. how could he stay in their favor if he didn’t know what he did to earn it?  

his (not so) “secret  twitter" is well known by most of royal stan twitter, and getting a follow back from him is something that is worn like a badge of honor. he pretty much exists on there to roast his siblings’ outfits and choices, but also to poke fun at all other royals. truly, it’s just one more piece of controlled rebellion. he wouldn’t say things to hurt his family... on purpose, at least. 

it became an arnauld d’orleans hate twitter during the occupation. he would come up with very colorful roasts to go along with photos taken of the french king from bad angles. it was resistance, the only way wren d’ansembourg knew how to do it. his plenty of instagram lives and twitch streams helped, too - bringing visibility tothe occupation of luxembourg to places that many people would have turned away from it altogether. 

and when the occupation ended, he threw a party in the back alley behind the palace that he grew up in. by the end of the night, it was attended by thousands of luxembourgian citizens. lara frowned upon it, but wendy had the time of her life, so he had enough support to call their “sibling vote” on whether he’d fucked up, a dead tie. 

he ran a charity stream that raised over eight million dollars for relief in belgium after the bombings, taking requests for things he could do in his room. he only broke four priceless artifacts during it,.

when he was invited to the protection program, he was the most wary of it. he didn’t need to network, he didn’t need to be protected from anything. wren knew he could care of himself, but a change of scenery seemed... kind of fun. it was getting boring in luxembourg, now that things have settled. and as long as he’s able to be connected to wifi, and he’s allowed to do at least three stupid tings a week, everything ill be alright.

i do want to say that i feel like the main thing i am looking for in a wren applicant is that his vibe is.... strange. i imagine wren is a 100 gecs song if it came to life.  he’s an ancient chaos god trapped in the lanky body of a d’ansembourg man.

What’s Airing On Cartoon Network? (September 2020)

Unlike August, The Futon Critic did get info on what’s airing in September. Alongside the big TV premiere of the We Bare Bears movie, we also get Total Dramarama, DC Super Hero Girls, and Ben 10 2016! See you after the break!

Bakugan: Battle Planet / Armored Alliance

September 13th:

Wynton's Reality Show/Bakugan Soccer - Lia has had it with Wynton's pranking, but little does she know Wynton is in for a taste of his own medicine. Then, the Awesome Brawlers and their Bakugan decide to have a game of Bakugan Soccer! (6:30 AM)

September 20th:

Shun and Lightning/Premonition of a Storm - With all the devices related crimes happening in Los Volmos, Shun decides to investigate to try to get to the bottom of McQ's nefarious dealings. Then, after a run in with McQ, Shun and Lightning find themselves in a little bit trouble. (6:30 AM)

Superstar Dan/Awesome Brawlers on Vacation - The Awesome Brawler's head to Tokyo for the Bakugan Battle League - Tokyo Edition. Then, Lia, Lightning, Shun and Wynton explore the sights of Toyko when a rogue Bakugan shows up and rampages. (6:30 AM)

Tokyo Fun - After Ben heroically shuts down the Bugg Brothers latest nefarious restaurant, Team Tennyson looks to enjoy sumo wrestling at the Global Games, but when the Twain Twins crash the event, Ben must stop the polarizing siblings if he is to salvage the family vacation in Tokyo! Growing Up is Hard to Do - Ben and Gwen are stoked to enter a skating competition, but when Nanny Nightmare shows up to teach the skater kids some manners by turning them into babies, it's up to Team Tennyson to up their game if they are to have any chance at saving the day. (7:30 AM)

The Hex Factor - When Hex mistakes an exclusive magic club for a top-secret Wizard society that snubbed him, Ben has to figure out how to work around the club's strict code of conduct to stop him without getting booted by security. (7:45 AM)

Sweet Tooth - On a trip to the dentist's office, Ben grows uneasy over the dentist's odd behavior and goes into hiding, but when his suspicions prove right, and the dentist transforms into the monstrous Toothache, Ben must save the day! (7:00 AM)

Tummy Ache - Team Tennyson go on a tour of the new Biggie Box Candy Store, but when Toothache breaks out and kidnaps the owner, Mr. Biggie, it is up to Ben to stop the monstrous dentist and save the candy man and his wondrous candy store. (7:00 AM)

Players of the Lost Park - When Team Tennyson visits Raspberry Park for some R & R, they get more than they bargained for. What they think are innocent games of chance are a revenge plot by Zombozo to steal the Rustbuggy and rob Team Tennyson! (7:15 AM)

De-Fanged! - Team Tennyson travels to the new Laser Town VR, but when Kevin cheats his way to the top, Ben must team up with former champ Fang if he is going to defeat his souped-up rival. (7:00 AM)

Mock 10 - Ben, Kevin and La Grange find themselves stuck 'outside of time' after the latter hijacks a supersonic train with a faulty engine, forcing the trio to team up and slow down. (7:15 AM)

Into the Dark - When Cole investigates a mysterious visitor, the ninja aren't sure what to believe. Cole is frustrated with this lack of team support, until Princess Vania reveals a secret entrance that leads to an underground mine beneath Shintaro. (11:15 AM)

September 20th:

The Worst Rescue Ever - The ninja attempt to rescue Cole, but the bickering of his fellow prisoners, the Geckles and Munce, alerts the Skull Sorcerer, and soon the ninja are prisoners too. (11:00 AM)

The Two Blades - In order to escape the Skull Sorcerer's chain-gang, the ninja must convince the Munce and Geckles to put aside their distrust and work together... by promising them something they may not be able to deliver -- The Blades of Deliverance! (11:15 AM)

Queen of the Munce - Jay, Nya and Lloyd are led deep into the Mines of Shintaro by Murt, who brings them back to the Munce "Home- Cave" - a settlement deep in the mountain. (11:00 AM)

For a Few Duncans More - While trying to photocopy his butt on Chef's fancy new copier Duncan accidentally makes an entire other Duncan. Great! This other Duncan can do all the school stuff while the real Duncan chills. (5:00 PM)

He Who Wears the Clown - After trying on the nose of a clown Owen learns that this is how clowns are made and he is stuck as a clown until he can trick someone else into asking to try on the nose. (5:15 PM)

September 15th:

Us 'R' Toys - When Chef brings in some old toys from his childhood he, Duncan and Gwen, each get magically sucked into one of the toys and need to find a way to get back into their own bodies. (5:00 PM)

Dream Worriers - Izzy forgets the ending to her most amazing dream of all time, so the kids travel into her mind to find out what happened. (5:15 PM)

September 16th:

Grody to the Maximum - Cody gets a super cool, new t-shirt. It's SO cool that the kids don't even recognize him, so Cody jumps on the chance to leave his old life behind and become popular. (5:00 PM)

Wiggin' Out - Bridgette donates her hair to a charity that makes wigs for hairless cats and now some classmates want to do the same. But their quest for perfect wig hair drives them to weird and dangerous lengths. (5:15 PM)

The Upside of Hunger - Owen has a mishap while baking an upside-down cake and is transported to an upside-down world where he is forced to outwit himself in order to get his cake back. (5:00 PM)

We Bare Bears

The biggest Cartoon Network premiere this month is the TV premiere of We Bare Bears: The Movie. Starting on September 5th, We Bare Bears will have all-day marathons to catch everyone up to it, starting at 6 AM. This will lead up to the movie, which will air at 6 PM on September 7th.
