The kids and I attended the #lightupalife service this evening at #stmichaelshospice . We hung a couple of stars on the tree in memory of those we miss and the children picked a lantern to pass on to the family of a friend we lost this year. Day 45 of my #365photochallenge was taken at #stmichaelshospice in #harrogate at their annual #lightupalife • Saint Michael's exists to help people with terminal illness to live and die well. They do this by offering specialist care, comfort and support, free of charge, to patients and their families. They are an independent charity working in the Harrogate District. • I attended this event this year with @bethcrewe @peelily @loucrewe @jemma33 @vickymee1 @alicewee1 Phil, Stephanie and Sarah to remember Michael 'Bill' Crewe. Their father, husband, Uncle, brother in law, son in law and friend. Bill was one of the most amazing people you could ever meet, his smile and personality lit up a room. This year I'm going to Mwanza Africa to refurbish a hospital and aid the community! It's ALWAYS been a dream of mine and I would really appreciate it if you guys could help me :D I have to raise a staggering £2990, but all the money goes to St Michaels Hospice, a charity very close to my heart especially after the death of my friend Marcus. Every single penny counts, so if you read this and out of good will fancy donating a pound, please do. IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE. and I will be ever so grateful! So #teamsplatt were #bornmuddy yesterday at #lowthercastle for the 2017 #bornsurvivor - 10km of obstacles and hilly terrain (including a 150m slide which was great fun). Total funds raised for #stmichaelshospice was £1201 :) A great day but I'm going to need a few days to recover for sure :) (at Lowther Castle)
