Vigie by Night ~ So I’ve recently received back to back requests for Evening Time Private Photo Tours, which I find to be a really cool twist from my regular St Lucia Photo Tours. And so it was that I headed out last week to experiment (sorry that should have been play!) with long exposures. Starting with an exposure of F5 @ 30 seconds i worked backwards to arrive at F22 @ 640 seconds. And while I wondered for a moment about reciprocity failure I stuck with the time I had calculated and was really happy with the results. I love the clarity and intensity of the starbursts on the lights and the trailing lights on the left we’re a really pleasant surprise ... BTW can you guess what caused those lights? However when I pulled up the image on my computer I discovered a great deal of noise throughout the image. Guess I’ll be back shooting at this same spot soon enough and this time I will adjust from ISO 100 to ISO 800!
