===Tweaking Your Pictures For Greater Impact=== In this shot you can see how subtle changes can have a big impact on the overall look and feel of a picture... In the previous image of this scenery attention is drawn to the photographer in the foreground while the palm tree and the sky are de-emphasised by cropping tightly into them... However in this shot, by simply changing the view to making the green boat the closest foreground subject and including the entire palm tree and more of the sky, a wholly different feeling and mood is evoked... ===Real Island Life=== This guy had just finished working on his engine and took his boat out for a spin... The roar of his engine caught my attention and the shot was simply too good to pass up... A Little Technical Stuff: As I've pointed out before - when your pictures tell a story they suddenly have the power to draw your viewer into the moment... I work to have this happen by oftentimes using diagonal leading lines to draw the viewer into the picture and towards my primary subject... Then everything else in the shot becomes supporting actors to that primary subject which is now the star of the show...
