Happy new year all :) Wishing you a healthy, happy, fulfilling year. With the new year comes the New Year’s resolutions, but sometimes we don’t set out goals in bite site chunks. We say a general statement like this year I really am going to lose those 10 kilos. Or this year I am going to travel the world. You could try this. And then end up like 99% of people who fail before they have even started. Or you could set a manageable goal which is realistic and not too scary. Enter the 30 day challenge. The 30 day challenge is the perfect way to take on a new habit without it feeling like it has to be forever. And then as a result often we succeed in creating this new habit for much longer. So I will be taking on a new 30 day challenge as of today to commit to Meditation for minimum 5 mins every day for the next 30 days. The benefits of meditation are huge. Quiets the mind, alleviates anxiety, boosts mood, aids in weight loss, creates focus, purpose and direction, gets you in touch with your true self, increases creativity to name but a few. In today’s noisy noisy world, it just makes sense that in order to balance the scales we need some quiet time. 5 minutes may not balance the scales, but it’s a good start. I encourage you to take on something for 30 days. Give it a try. Small or large. No matter. That is how you become the person you were born to be. You are in this world to be your best self.
