NEW CONCERT ON THE HORIZON..... Going to see Franz Ferdinand next year !!!
#new concert new reason to feel some trace of excitement and joy in life#and yes this is the mysterious 3rd band i refered to in my earlier post today#for once i don't have to go miles away and abroad for something like this also#i mean i didn't have to do that for my earlier concerts this year that i also enjoyed very much#but those weren't *MY* favourite bands but rather stuff that mostly my dad enjoys lol#so yeah this is very cool. i've been thinking sometimes over the last couple of weeks#that they're this rare band i like that's also famous enough that maybe there's chance they'd tour around here. and behold!!!#but also god why is deciding to buy and then bying concert tickets the most nerve-wracking thing ever#well whatever it's gonna be fun i'm sure#i've discovered this year that the joy of concerts is truly like nothing else in this world#and i need more of that in my life very badly. already been missing it since my last one in april#and ofc it's just about a month and a half left now to my long awaited one! Hearing loss runs in my family so I always wear ear plugs to concerts so that I can keep hearing for as long as possible.
But honestly, taking the plugs out for Everybody's waiting and Novi val was so worth any damage that it might have had on my ears.

Being alone at home SO isn't good for me, how does anyone deliberately choose to live on their own 😭
#meaning this in an 'I respect people capable of this very very much' kinda way#my partner is visiting their family for a few days so it's nothing drastic like it's not weeks spent alone or anything#but still dhskfhkshd#it's these times that I realise how much of an extrovert I am with how high social needs#shrews ramblings#oh fun news tho!!! tomorrow I'm going to a concert with my little sibling#it's нервы - a Russian/Ukrainian rock band and I'm super excited for it#hmmm I might take doodle requests sometime these days since I really wanna draw a lot to improve but#I don't always have fresh ideas#one reason why tumblr has always been and will always be my favourite platform is that#I can just talk to myself in the tags of posts like this#it feels like writing down my thoughts in the notes app but has the being heard feeling added to it#even if not many people see it

Man, I love concerts 🥹
#got to see the maine again tonight#and they played (un)lost#not only one of my all time favourite songs#but THE song i brought along to group therapy#when we had to choose a song that means a lot to us and that we thought helped the others understand us better#and getting to hear that live#singing my heart out along with the crowd#it was such a special feeling#that song just means a lot to me and i am still so emotional about that moment#only time i got my phone out to record during a concert#“i'm not looking to be found i just want to feel unlost” just hits so hard every time#saskia talks

#listen this is SO fundamental to this blog#I'm pretty sure most people don't remember it but I started out as a ts2 blog over 10 years ago#I still have a ts2 sideblog but I mean I used to have a cringe ts2 era (affectionate) on this blog#and one of my favourite characters was ripp grunt#he was basically an emo boi and I projected a lot of my teenage angst and troubles on him too#and I always closely associated him with Simple Plan songs and wrote stories about him inspired by them#one was called Summer Paradise and had their lyrics as chapter titles#another one was inspired by Untitled (How could this happen to me?)#ahh the nostalgia#and these stories and their music are fundamental to my own growth too and I kind of want to hug my teenage self and tell her we made it😭#the concert was so so fuckin good and pierre and the other band members seem like such nice people#the next time maybe I'll get the VIP tickets to meet them backstage and build up confidence to tell them what they mean to me lol#nonsims#personal

A question for my concert going friends: how do you feel about artists/venues doing priority entry? As in early entry, not disabled etc. Personally I really dislike it, as it pushes that idea that you can only be a "real fan" if you have enough money to do so. And "real/better" fans are always perceived as the ones at the front or with the best merch.
I'm probably just bitter as I don't have the money to be able to do priority entry lol, but I think it is just generally unfair, and I really wish more artists would stop doing it. Also if you're in the UK you probably know how the O2 venues work, and I just think thats ridiculous.
#I posted this on Facebook but I feel like people will be more honest here#as someone who LOVES being by the barrier at a concert#that shit is EARNED#its so heartbreaking when you've queued for hours and hours#just to see people who've paid more arrive at doors and get in before you#and yes you could say that working extra hours counts as earning that spot too#as it means you can pay for the priority entry etc#but queuing those few hours is just so much more accessible for most#and easier than picking up extra shifts imo#of course its never going to be 100% fair#but I just wish more artists and venues would see how hurtful having early entry is#have VIP and shit thats cool#but people who cant afford that still deserve to see their favourite band up close yk?#instead of having to stand behind all the “proper fans”#I have physically been pushed backwards because of this#because I was second row and I made the mistake of telling someone that I was regular GA#the person behind me had paid for VIP and acted like I was not allowed to be in front of her#even tho I got to my space before she was there#no one is entitled to be at the front#I have arrived at doors and still gotten second row#I've also arrived 4 hours early and not gotten the front row#but I wish I had gotten it fairly#instead of having to pay more#wow that was a rant#I have said my piece#I would love to know your opinions on this

I have a genuine question for people who have been to Joker Out gigs (or gigs in general)
Do you know the best moment to give the artist a gift? Or if that is even possible. I don't want to throw it onto the stage, since I'm slightly insecure about how will it turn out, and I've also heard Käärijä saying that throwing stuff onto stage is actually quite annoying so... here is the question
This will define if I'll even start making the thing I'm thinking about making (what a fantastic sentence!), so if you have any experience, I wouldn't mind any tips

Finally watched Dee Vee Dee and oh my gosh. This show along with the Lil' Beethoven in Stockholm one, I want to scream about them to everyone
#when I watched the LB concert i was so excited I wrote a whole review of it and all the parts i liked the most in my journal#and even though i've known these albums for a while by the time i watched these#these shows felt like this extra layer of understanding that added even more to their meaning and themes as a whole#plus the whole visual art performance aspect of them is just so cool and interesting on its own of course#i love it when i start getting into a band or artist#and THEN i learn that they also did these specific things that are so in line with my favourite aesthetics / styles in art etc#that it almost feels like fate that i even learned about them. because i didn't even know previously that this would be the case#(them doing this specific thing)#plus i can't neglect to mention that#concerning deeveedee and the second half of it especially#there's russell of course. i don't think i need to elaborate on that#so yeah. as of now watching this and also rewatching TSB with my family recently is what has made my mood significantly better#when there's no concerts happening at least watching the old ones can still save me it seems#goosepost

honestly it is so fun watching interviews of people and u start to pick up on little things in the way they talk, mannerisms, even stories they tell over and over
#the stories one is specifically ab bill hader btw tho ig it was not so much stories but when he was doing press for barry s2#the ronny/lily episode the way he would talk abt that was so consistent and obviously it's bc it's press#but even then i do think he would also just have lil stories he would go back to#anyway obv im watching paul dano interviews rn and i pick up on the way he says no at the end of questions and the yeahyeahyeah he does#it's so fun like those kinds of things just. are who a person is. not being parasocial btw#this happens in real life too when you spend time w a pwrson#the girl i met at the harry styles concert had this way of speaking that i still mimic a bit and i only spent a few hours w her#but yeah these kinds of things are my favourite things abt people <3 love and light and so many kisses#diary

im simultaneously terrified and excited out of my mind for june
#the highlight of the month should be seeing sam fender in ST JAMES PARK in his HOMETOWN in concert#OR seeing harry styles in not just LONDON but THEE wembley arena#OR flying out to america for a month long road trip with the moots#NOT ALL THREE AT ONCE#truly so blessed like yes saving up is gonna be hard#but I’ve found pretty cheap ways around things so far and I’ve already saved enough for the plane tickets and all of the concert shit#so I just need to save for the actual roadtrip (‘just’ as if I don’t need £1k+)#BUT STILL AJSJAKKAJAHSKKS#and like the way I’m seeing sam fender with one friend and harry styles with two different friends#and then flying out to see my favourite people ever that somehow care about me despite being on other sides of the WORLD#like hello???? bestie said ‘I’m gonna fill this life with love if it kills me’ AND THEN I FUCKING DID#need a tag for the america trip bc not only am I planning to spam post about it but also some of u rlly want to see me live react to america#which honestly be ready for a new level of annoying bc america is such a CONCEPT to me like it’s like a movie set#im partially convinced it isn’t real#so I’m just gonna be so disorientated and I WILL feel the need to talk about any tiny cultural different#rwbt 2.0#<- that’s the tag#in honour of rwbt first edition 🫡#(red white and blue on tour)#(we’re back bitches!)
