hey folks. thank u so much to everyone who's messaged me these past few days, even if it was just to send me a random meme, it's appreciated more than u know! ❤ i think i'm through the worst of the anguish from the news, still just ... i guess kinda dissociated? life feels a little more like a cardboard diorama to me rn. i will be okay, i always am. and my dad is doing okay as well, that's the important thing. i'm hoping to get back to writing once this weird haze lifts enough for it. burying myself in stoic philosophy works twofold - help for my soul, and keeping my creative fire alive. i have faith in my spirits to return to where they need to be in time. but for now, i hope you're all doing okay ❤ i miss it here more than i thought i would, but i won't be gone too long now.

ok im workshopping anathema a bit since i'm trying to nail down a new ingame appearance for her. harlequin patterns on her clothes but she isn't Actually a troupe member (lacks the coordination or ability to perform, just remembers her time with a mendicant troupe fondly/wistfully/sorrowfully)

colors are still dark blue and vaguely sunsetty but more inclined towards brown and dark neutral base tones and softer, brighter accent colors along the sunset collection. still no horns, wings, or tail, just the vestige of them left behind. likes patterns and leather and taking naps in her cuirass (keeps her upright for most efficient napping)

she doesn't have hooves or anything bc that's not the Type of tief she is. she probably sometimes dyes her hair but it's not done with any particular finesse. she's a person who likes pretty things but is perfectly happy with not being super precise about how beautification happens; she's also still covered in scars and very emotionally closed off behind the mendicant job. she'll help you with any woes, do any work, soothe any fears, and drift off to the next person who needs help without overstaying her welcome.

her base mendicant organization is NOT the vagrant troupe she originally spent time with, but a cheesemaker's guild that took her in after she threw herself at their mercy for [redacted heinous activities] post-cult-escape. so now she travels about selling cheese when she has some, but mostly attending to her own brand of mendicant duties.

Could you imagine when Law had to leave the Heart pirates to go to Punk Hazard? Bepo on his knees, arms wrapped around Law's waist, crying his eyes out? Begging Law - not asking him to not go, but asking to take Bepo with him. Cause he knows this is something Law needs to do, but Bepo can't stand the thought of not being with him.

Law stroking and snuggling into Bepo's fur, trying to memorise the feel of it under his fingers, the smell, the warmth - all bc he realises this may be the last time he will be able to do so.

Bepo putting on a brave face, bc he is in charge of the crew now. But still cries everytime he goes to bed, bc their sheets still smells like Law.

Law wearing his coat on Punk Hazard - he chose it bc it had the fluffy inside lining. He'll stroke it when he's missing Bepo, but it's just not the same. TᴖT

its so fucked tho seriously....they never EVER parted for long periods of time since they met...its wrong but it has to be done. all kinds of conflicting because law is annoying he cant tell a lie even if its merciful. he cant promise to return so he says nothing. and bepo is so upset with him for it, but at the same time - law have never been more impressive and admirable than he is in that moment.

bepo can't be mad if he tries, he loves law too much that he forgives his cruel decisions. and he respects law, and his sense of duty (and desire to pay his debt to corazon, no matter how crazy it is) way too much that he doesn't allow foolish thought that himself and the crew are not important to law - bepo knows law loves them, his goal to avenge cora doesnt disprove it :') he knows law leaving them behind IS the proof of his love.

so he knows how much it hurts law to break their hearts for their own good. so it is while bepo admires him immensely in that moment - he feels so sorry for his best friend too

funnily enough, this one has canonically already happened!

the tl;dr is that Belamy won the physical fight, but Viltau won the emotional fight because he's living life happier than ever while Belamy is still seething over their fallout

hi everyone. Here's your local basard's first dark urge, Neyrha (baldur's gate 3 edition) lore tm under the readmore bc im shy

anyway if any of you remember, Neyrha Trevelyan was a dragon age inquisition oc, who i then repurposed into destiny 2 for a bit and now im doing it again into baldur's gate 3! huzzah!

i did make some tweaks lorewise bc i thought playing a human would be a little boring for my first dark urge playthrough so she's a drow now! yay! with that comes a name update bc i spent a while just kinda pouring over drow name meanings last night, so her full name is Neyrhiia T'hraevalale'an (i tried to drowify Trevelyan as best i could n i think i did a pretty good job ngl) and for personal ease, she just remembers her name is Neyrha 👍

im still chewing on other lore for her rn but i've got ideas stewing.

Ive begun writing actual pieces of script for my comic (wow!!), currently on some banter from child Val and Beryl, and Beryl is 100% the kind of child that is both endearing but also makes me want to punt him into the sun because he is unable to sit still OR shut up for a minute. hehe

Also the document is a basard child of english and french mixed together with the formatting being of a movie script except I don't really give a shit but it's only for my own eyes for now so I guess it's ok? lol

omg top 5 utdr bosses...... i need to know

1 - undyne / undyne the undying ive been SO vocal about this but everything about her fucks so hard from her armor to her themes to THE GIMMICK WITH THE GREEN SOUL AND THE SHIELD ARE YOU KIDDING ME ITS GORGEOUS. AND THE LIKE THEMATIC IMPLICATIONS OF THE UNDYING & DETERMINATION??? LIKE. MY GOD. everything about both her battles were an absolute delight and i dont even get mad when she kills me im just like yknow what you did your job you got me to stop killin. proud of you wifey.

2 - MAD MEW MEW OMG. her gimmick was so fun i spent the entire game looking forward to when i could go back and fight her. it wasnt too hard but was very unique and memorable! her design also rules. catgirls 4 lyfe

3 - JEVILLLLL it was frustratimg at first and i dont love his music but i DO love his voicelines and slowly figuring out the trick to getting him was the most satisfying experience ive had in a long time. my weird uncle 10/10 the cooler deltarune secret boss fight spamneo dni

4 - asgore! incredibly easy and straightforward as a battle but definetly heartwrenching, his themes have been my favourite songs on the soundtrack since i first heard them, and everything about asgore, his movements his dialogue the mechanics of the fight his design his environment design is all so iconic and memorable. something changed in me watching him smash the mercy button. not to mention the way the denizens of the underground talk about him with such fondness and reassure you about what a sweetheart he is. my goodness. hes down this low because deltarune made him my cringe fail deadbeat fathers self-insert which is SO funny but does damage me inside.

5 - mettaton! one of the most difficult pascifist run fights by far ime but its very charming! from his gimmick to the music i love him dearly. hes just so instantly very funny and endearing. down this low because tbh my general dislike of alphys and hotland as a whole killed this section of the game for me. getting to hear metal crusher is worth it, but ive always felt kind of strung out and bored by hotland, like, frustrated at best. it just doesnt appeal to me. i believe in waterfall supremacy.

and this is neither here nor there but i think a big part of my distaste for hotland is that a lot of the runamuck enemies kind of bore me, which i think is a MAJOR win for deltarune because every single npc and enemy is so memorable and charming, but once i get past like, temmie, i have a hard time caring abt the ut random enemies. deltarune definetly has the more engaging combat system which i think made these little dudes much more fun.
