something about campfire crew really is so fucking hard hitting and beautiful cause like… theyre all lying to each other. ALL THE TIME. there is absolutely no trust between them, but there is loyalty and god isnt that a strange dynamic. and like… loony and taneesha are decidedly evil, and legundo just… isnt. sure, he sort of stands by and lets them do bad things but he doesnt really do bad things himself. yet, he still chooses to break the rules and swear his loyalty to them. but he doesnt feel any desire to kill others himself. which is such a contrast to most other death game alliances of similar rule-breaking situations. (i.e. in 3rd life, grian was killing people left and right with/for scar when he was green and enjoying every second of it). campfire crew never changed their own moral alignments to fit each others’. and there was no trust between them. loony was actively sabotaging legundo and trying to keep him weak. he and taneesha were constantly going behind legundo’s back. legundo tried to form other alliances, but never ever actually went through with helping anyone else. they were loyal to each other until they had no other choice but to fight. it was kind of beautiful as hell i love weird and toxic friendships.
