My brain has been working overtime in its sleep. Again, basic dream that I woke up from and filled in the blanks.

Perspective is female reader.

What if you’re home alone? Your husband off to fight a war you don’t believe in but have no say over. He’s a high ranking official that requires him to be away from home often. To keep his little wife safe from harm, and in line, he sends you to his family estate in the countryside. It’s lonely, too quiet. But you stay. Happy to be away from the fighting, far away from him, and having no need to pretend you support the effort.

So what a surprise when you wake up to loud, teeth rattling banging on your door in the middle of the night. You’re alone, there’s no one to protect you, but whoever is outside is yelling for help and demanding you open up.

And you do despite knowing the risks.

There you find four men. Four Englishmen, the enemy, lurking in your doorway badly beaten up. One barely standing as he’s supported by another two of them. You stare horrified at them and all the blood. The war you carefully avoided was quite literally on your doorstep.

But you step aside, let them in, and guide them to your kitchen. They don’t need your help for this part. For the ripping of clothes and screaming in pain as they patch up one of the guys.

They let you linger on the fringes, bringing linen and other supplies they may need without being asked. Quietly depositing the supplies before darting away again, telling yourself you’ll make them leave when they’re done.

But when it all falls quiet over an hour later you let them stay. It’s too dark to send them out and the man they patched up is still unconscious.

They are just as wary of you as you are of them. Eyeing one another over the candlelight as they sneak glances at you before you disappear into your bedroom and lock the door. Hopefully they’ll be gone by daylight and you can pretend it was a dream. Because helping the enemy, the colonel’s wife helping the enemy, would be a death sentence. And you know if your husband found out he’d punish you in so many of his sadistic ways.

But they aren’t gone some sun up.

They had gone snooping while you slept and found your husband’s office. Alexander König’s office; the high ranking colonel of their enemy. The files they found are invaluable to their war effort. Almost as invaluable as having König’s wife all alone with no one to rescue her.

i really don’t think it’s “typical dragon age fandom nonsense” for people to be genuinely upset about the world state choices. combat, level design, art direction, gameplay gimmicks, those have all varied across each dragon age game. the one thing that’s remained constant are nods to our previous choices.

Logan and Wade almost always do the nasty with the lights out and Wade is a little disappointed but he gets it and he resigned himself to a lifetime of dark sex long before Logan came along, sucks to know that your partner doesn’t want to look at you while getting down to business but its something Wade can live with.

Begging swifties to understand that Taylor didn’t write reputation and Lover with the knowledge of how the relationship was going to end and that trying to “excavate” those albums for evidence to prove a specific theory as to why it ended is not how they should be viewed. Taylor wrote those songs feeling a very specific way because that’s what she was experiencing and she is now reflecting on them with hindsight and relates to them differently than when she first created them. These conflicting emotions can exist; how she views it now doesn’t diminish how she felt about it when she first released it.
