Two Weeks in Missoula, MT
Tumblr media
View from a bridge over the Clark Fork River
The Verdict
What a fun place to spend two weeks! Missoula prides itself on being weird, and we can see the charm. This tiny university town of 70-80K residents is surrounded by mountains and has the cute little Clark Fork River running through it. There are hardly any tall buildings and the downtown area is full of places to eat, drink, and buy random Montana-themed tchotchkes. We encountered very few chains or national brands (basically just some hotels downtown and the nearby Albertsons grocery).

From the quad at The University of Montana, Missoula
We also got a different kind of weird vibe, though. Missoula is gentrifying, and there’s an odd juxtaposition of it feeling a bit run-down -- the downtown area on the river isn’t terribly well-maintained; the local housing stock is pretty old; the university has lost a lot of funding and applicants in recent years -- and also designed for deep-pocketed tourists (food is more expensive than comparable options in NYC; the new downtown Mercantile building that houses the ~2 year old Marriott Residence Inn feels like an upscale shopping mall; it’s hard to believe how so many breweries could be supported by the size of the local population). As visitors unfamiliar with the area, we didn’t always feel totally welcome -- and we can only imagine what it must feel like for people from the area to experience it being transformed by yuppies and Silicon Valley money. Even the local shops already evoke AirSpace, and it’s a bit sad to think of Missoula losing its quirkiness more in the future.

Walking around downtown Missoula
What to Eat: Vegetarian Edition
For a town of its size, Missoula has a surprising number of places to eat out. It was exciting to discover lots of ethnic food and plenty of vegetarian-friendly options, but ultimately we found a lot of the food to be extremely overpriced for what it was. We also noticed that many of the places we visited were advertising for staff, some were closed due to lack of staff / inventory / ingredients, and a surprisingly high number of places experienced outages of menu items during our time there.
Note: All recommendations are in downtown or within walking distance. We’ve listed them in order of how much we liked them.
Five on Black [5/5]: Brazilian food that is surprisingly vegetarian-friendly and pretty reasonably priced ($12 for a large bowl). The tofu bowl with sweet potatoes and mango BBQ sauce was out of this world. Outdoor seating was available.
Masala [5/5]: Indian make-your-own bowl, Chipotle-style ($8). The coconut curry korma was delicious, and the paneer was pretty good too. This was the best value meal we had downtown. They had outdoor seating.
Basal [4.5/5]: Smoothies and salads. The Caesar salad with vegan dressing was pretty amazing, and the creamy smoothie (blue version) was obsession-inducingly good. Knocked off half a point because it is ridiculously expensive...yet we still went back a second time because it was delicious and healthy. Can’t remember if they had outdoor seating...
Market on Front [4.5/5]: Right by our hotel, and known for breakfast burritos. We tried picking up lunch there one day but it was a 25 minute wait. We tried again for an early dinner and voila...the Rawsome Vegan Wrap ($10.50) was very good The service was friendly, too.
Bernice’s Bakery [4.5/5]: This is a cute little bakery with great bread and vegetarian-friendly lunch options; we really liked their house-made Parker rolls ($0.60 each, or great as part of their sliders). They post their changing menu on Instagram daily. We didn’t try any of their sweets but they looked very enticing. This was also one of the few normally priced places we ate at. The shaded picnic table outside was very nice to eat at.
Zoo Thai [4/5]: This is an overpriced but pretty good Thai restaurant downtown. We really enjoyed the massaman curry ($17) and the coconut milk Thai iced tea ($3.5). There is one other vegetarian curry on the menu that was also decent. The service was exceptionally friendly although they are clearly understaffed (like lots of local places, it seems) and it took an unusually long time to get our food. Their outdoor patio was nice, and about a 30 minute wait on a Wednesday around 6p.m.
Conflux [4/5]: In a similar boat to Zoo Thai: the food was pretty good but it was one of the most expensive places we visited. We liked the vegetarian burger and the mushroom sandwich, and the beers were good too. The outdoor patio is extra cute and there was no wait when we went on a Thursday evening (when the wait was over an hour at The Camino).
The Union Club [4/5]: Our friend took us here, it’s a no-frills spot with a dive bar vibe, including pool tables and a few arcade games. As far as vegetarian options, they have a veggie burger (something like $6-$8) that was pretty decent and various fried items (breaded zucchini, jalapenos, etc). It was the most reasonably priced place we ate and we liked the relaxed atmosphere. There wasn’t any outdoor seating, but luckily it was nearly empty when we went.
Break Espresso [4/5]: Cafe. The lemon jam scone was decent, very sugary. We would totally go back here, but it didn’t seem like they had outdoor seating.
The Catalyst Cafe [3.5/5]: Good brunch options; the huevos rancheros were amazing, 5/5. However, the breakfast burrito with tofu and black beans was disappointing (maybe try the vegan brunch burrito with vegetables instead), and the service was particularly grumpy compared to anywhere else we went. They charge a gratuity on take-out orders, which they were upfront about but is still a bit odd. They have outdoor tables but due to the wait we took our food to go and ate on the lovely patio at our hotel.
Madeline’s Mediterranean (food truck) [3/5]: The falafel plate ($10) was tasty but unconscionably overpriced - 3 falafel balls, some lettuce, and a good heap of french fries.
Bahn Missoula (food truck) [3/5]: We tried the tofu bahn mi sandwich ($8). It wasn’t bad, but the bread wasn’t great, overall it had a bit of a sterile taste like airport food.
Le Petit [not rated]: This is a very popular local bakery that was recommended by a friend. We visited on a Sunday a little over an hour before closing and they literally had ZERO pastries left. We actually haven’t seen that anywhere before. Maybe it’s a small town thing? We didn’t see outdoor seating.
Tumblr media
An area across the river from downtown, near the University. Close to Bernice’s and Le Petit. The reminder to “Believe women” brought us back to Jon Krakauer’s book Missoula.
Notable places we didn’t try:
The Camino (Mexican): We heard good things from friends but the vegetarian options looked sparse. Their happy hour could be a good option if you’re in the mood for margaritas -- we put our names down on a Wednesday around 5:45PM and an outdoor table wasn’t available for us until 7:10PM, after we had already sat down at Conflux. Notably, there was an open patio table for 40 minutes that they were saving for someone who was supposedly coming “soon.”
Tagliare Delicatessen: Our friend highly recommended, but the sandwiches were mostly meat- or cheese-oriented. Could be great for a tomato/basil/mozzarella lunch option.
What to Drink
There are so many great breweries! We only tried the most popular ones, but imagine there is much more to enjoy.
Draughtworks: Gorgeous and spacious outdoor patio; we easily got a table on a Saturday at 5p (though it filled up a bit later). They seem to be known for sour and fruity beers and have many unique flavors; the flight ($10 for 4) is a great way to try them out. The watermelon rhubarb kombucha was also amazing.
Dram Works: Has a good outdoor patio and exceptionally friendly service. They let you sample anything before ordering. We really loved their peanut butter beer. They also have multiple kombucha options on tap!
Big Sky Brewing: We didn’t actually go to this brewery, but tried their beers at a fun street festival (Roots Festival) that happened during our visit. We had to mention this because their beers were so delicious!
Tumblr media
The Roots Festival was fun -- in addition to enjoying beer and food trucks, the 4-mile race through south Missoula was great!
Plonk: Cocktails place with an extremely cute outdoor patio upstairs. The cocktails were excellent -- especially loved the Pink Panther (it had watermelon in it, what’s not to love?)
Lake Missoula Tea Company: Not beer, but their array of loose leaf teas was incredibly interesting and expansive! They can brew a cup of any tea for purchase in store if you’d like. We heard the lychee black tea was exceptional, though didn’t try it. We did try the vegan ginger chai, which was good.  Definitely a fun place to visit if you enjoy tea.
What to Do
As this was our stop between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, we didn’t do a ton apart from eating and drinking.
We did hear there is some decent hiking nearby. We walked the M Trail -- a short, straight uphill hike (1.2 miles each way) with a good view of Missoula -- it was perfect at around 8:30a.m. while still shady. Pattee Canyon was a longer hike recommended to us.
Tumblr media
View from the M Trail
We heard hanging out on the river can also be fun. We did a chill ~2 hour tubing excursion on the Clark Fork River with Clark Fork Yacht Club. It was a lot of fun, we definitely recommend!
Tumblr media
Where to Stay
We would have loved to stay in an Airbnb to get a feel for what it’s like to live in an actual neighborhood. Availability was sparse -- a local friend told us housing has been very difficult to find across the board as gentrification has accelerated, and we were also visiting for the 2 weeks before the fall semester started at the University.
We ended up staying at the Marriott Residence Inn Downtown (it was actually cheaper than the few Airbnb options we saw -- you can get a decent discount for staying 12+ nights). It felt more like a hip Manhattan high rise apartment than a Residence Inn -- it was swanky with a great gym and outdoor patio. The service wasn’t great and the staff were fairly unhelpful, but it otherwise worked out fine. The location was great: we were within walking distance of basically everything we wanted to do.

part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4 (coming soon)
links in masterlist!
You’d decided that it’d be best to take a break from Jimin. It wouldn’t be difficult, considering that there were six other perfectly good men to choose from, but it was clear early on that Jimin wasn’t about to make things easy for you.
You weren’t sure if it was on purpose, but he had started wearing more revealing clothes, ones that accented his collarbones and showed off his muscular arms. The elegant dips of his neck and chest were always fully on display for you.
He wasn’t stupid, he knew something was bothering you. Ever since you ran out of his room, leaving him sitting there looking like a kicked puppy, his mind had been plagued with dark thoughts of doubt and self-deprecation. These thoughts only multiplied when you continued to ignore him.
You’d gone three whole weeks without feeding on him, which was unusual since your sweet tooth made Jimin one of your most popular choices. Out of the seven of them, you fed on Jimin, Hoseok, and Jungkook the most.
Jimin immediately assumed that he was the problem. He must’ve done something wrong, must’ve upset you somehow. Was it his blood? Did it not taste good anymore?
The thought of his blood disgusting you made Jimin’s stomach lurch.
He tried confronting you, but every time he asked you simply brushed it off, claiming that you just “weren’t hungry anymore.”
He knew that was bullshit. Your pupils had been so dilated that your eyes were almost black. You’d looked like a panther ready to pounce.
You felt bad for ignoring him, especially because it was Jimin. He was the most needy for praise out of all of them. That was one of the reasons why you had a soft spot for him.
After feeding, you would always shower him with pets and compliments, telling him how good he tasted, how sweet he was. Jimin’s face would turn that pretty mochi pink, his head ducking away shyly like a turtle in its shell.
You loved the way you could make him crumble. Jimin’s flirtatious nature made him come across as confident, maybe even cocky, but once you praised him, he would melt into a gooey mess of blushing and giggling.
So, naturally, ignoring him was one of the worst things you could ever do. But it had to be done...right?
“Charlie?” A soft, tinkling voice made you look up from the cutting board.
Jimin stood on the other side of the kitchen counter, looking casual and slightly sleepy in a grey cap and sweater. He was barefaced, letting you see the faint spots and freckles on his glowing skin, his eyes free of any makeup.
You wanted to squish his cheeks and tell him to skip class that day to stay here and cuddle with you instead.
“What?” You forced your voice to come out harsh, slicing through the air and creating an immediate, palpable tension. Yoongi, who was sitting at the bar with a cup of coffee, looked between the two of you like he was about to witness a cat fight.
“I was just wondering if you were free later this afternoon?” He sounded so hopeful, speaking in a low tone as if he was afraid you’d snap at him.
It wasn’t an unusual occurrence for you and the boys to hang out one-on-one. You would often go out for coffee, peruse around a bookshop, or sometimes they would tag along while you ran errands. Nevertheless, the question made you snap your head up to stare at him.
“What?” You said sharply.
Jimin visibly gulped.
“I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go to that new cafe during your lunch break. I know you wanted to check it out.” He said.
You were endearingly surprised that he remembered. Looking back down at your cutting board and continuing to chop spinach, you pretended to sound disinterested.
“I’m probably going to end up skipping lunch today. It’s been really busy at work lately. Maybe next time.” You mentally cringed at how blunt you sounded.
Jimin’s shoulders sagged.
God, I am being such a bitch.
“Okay…” He said sadly, turning to leave you alone.
Yoongi eyed you up and down as you started to arrange the spinach and eggs on a plate.
“Did Jimin do something to you?” He asked.
You glanced at him very briefly.
“No, why would you think that?”
“Because he’s sulking and you’re avoiding him.”
“I’m not avoiding him! I’ve just been busy, that’s all.” You pushed the plate towards him and crossed your arms.
“Can you eat the whole thing for me?” You said, gaze softening with the question.
Yoongi raised an annoyed eyebrow.
“First of all, I hate spinach. Second of all, would you stop pestering me, please.”
“I’m sorry! It’s just...you’re so skinny.” You said as you squeezed one of his bony arms.
You felt like an old witch preparing a child for the boiling pot, fattening them up with sweets and sugary words. Here, little boy. Eat up so you can become nice and tender. Would you like to be served with butter or gravy?
You were just worried about his health! Every time you fed on him there was always the concern that he might faint in the middle of it.
“Trust me, Charlie, I eat plenty.” Yoongi insisted.
“Yeah, but how much of that is pure garbage?” You said.
He didn’t have an answer for that.
“Why are you so hell-bent on this?” He whined.
“Because I don’t want to have to worry about you collapsing every time I suck you!”
He quirked an eyebrow.
That came out wrong.
“Every time I suck your blood.” You corrected.
The sound of the clock chime broke you out of your thoughts, which may or may not have turned inappropriate at the mention of sucking. You sighed in relief, glad to have an excuse out of this conversation.
“Gotta go.” You grabbed your bag and hurried to the door.
“Finish that!” You called back over your shoulder, pointing at his breakfast.
“I’ll think about it!”
~~~
You weren’t really busy at work. That was a lie. Actually, you kept the place running rather smoothly. You were good at your job, you had to be as the person in charge. As editor in chief of GENIUS magazine, you held the highest position in the editorial department.
Today was a particularly slow day. Your afternoon meeting had been canceled, which opened up the bulk of your schedule. You were absentmindedly wondering what you’d have for lunch when your phone buzzed.
12:54 — Hobi: hey :)
An instant smile crossed your face.
12:55 — You: hi sunshine
The three tiny dots appeared and disappeared several times. You smirked, picturing him blushing at your nickname and fumbling for the right words to say.
12:57 — Hobi: you free for lunch?
12:58 — You: you just read my mind. Where do you wanna go?
12:58 — Hobi: that new cafe that you were talking about?
Wow. How do they all remember these things about you?
12:59 — You: sounds good. Meet you there in fifteen minutes.
You killed time by scanning over some of the articles for the next issue. After glancing at the clock, you gathered up your coat and bag, walking through the glass doors of your office.
“I’m going out to lunch with a colleague. I’ll be back in an hour to talk with the associate publisher.” You announced as you passed Melody’s desk.
“Okay, boss.” She replied.
“You know, you don’t have to call me boss.” You said with a crooked grin.
“I know. I just do it to tease you.”
The corner of your mouth quirked as your eyes ran over her. She was wearing a cute little pencil skirt that accentuated her petite frame. Not that she was super skinny, her build was medium, but she was a tiny person. She had short legs and was barely five feet tall.
Melody was very sweet and gentle, always right by your side, ready to do anything in her power to help you. She had an innocence about her that was almost childlike.
You were very fond of her.
The walk to the cafe was short. It was only five minutes away, that was why you’d been so eager to check it out. Hoseok was already there waiting for you when you arrived. He was sitting at a table by the window, wearing an oversized sweatshirt with his black face mask pulled down to his chin.
At the sound of your heels, he looked up from his phone. His face broke out into that beaming heart-shaped smile, making your lips immediately curl up in return.
“Hi, Noona.” He said cheerfully.
“Hey, Hobi. How's your day going?”
“Good! Even better now that I get to have lunch with my favorite vampire.”
“I'm pretty sure I'm the only vampire you know.”
“Mmm irrelevant.”
The waiter came, and Hobi ordered a sandwich while you ordered a coffee and a slice of strawberry cake.
“Skipping right to dessert, I see.” He said as you picked up your fork, licking your lips.
“Of course. My main course is still eating his lunch.”
A blush flowered on the plump apples of his cheeks. Yet, he still managed to flash you a sly grin.
“I guess I better hurry up then. Wouldn't want to keep my favorite vampire waiting when she so clearly needs me.”
Hobi smirked.
Something about the way he said it, the way he claimed that you “so clearly needed him,” made something in your stomach jump. He was suggesting that you needed something from him? Cocky little bastard.
Hoseok was...interesting. He was a little bundle of energy, that was true, a total ball of sunshine, but he challenged you in a way that none of the other boys did. He wasn’t afraid to poke and prod and push your buttons. It was almost like he was trying to see how much he could get away with, how much authority he could get you to give up.
You saw the way he treated the other boys, too. He was one of the older ones, so he had a natural air of dominance, especially over the maknae line. It wasn’t uncommon to see him ordering them around, jokingly manhandling or threatening them to get them to submit to his little games.
He was definitely different, you thought as you sipped your coffee, leaving behind a stamp of red lipstick on the rim.
“Nom nom nom.” You said around a mouthful of food, closing your eyes in bliss.
Hoseok chuckled, making you divert your attention away from your plate.
“What?” You asked with your cheeks stuffed.
“I can’t get over how you put off a badass vibe when you’re actually goofy and adorable as fuck.” He said in amusement.
You raised an eyebrow.
“Excuse you, I am a badass.” Your voice was sarcastic as you puffed your cheeks out even further, trying to give yourself a cute appearance.
Hobi laughed.
“You’re still a badass, of course. You’re just adorable as fuck while being one.”
Despite your efforts to suppress it, you blushed. When was the last time a boy made me blush?
Looking satisfied by your reaction, Hobi returned his attention to his food.
You bristled, suddenly feeling uncharacteristically small in his presence.
“Wipe that smirk off your face.” You said in a voice that would’ve made Jimin and Jungkook shiver and comply immediately, but only made Hobi smile wider.
“Oh, did I strike a nerve?” He teased you.
You pursed your lips together, trying to fight another rush of heat to your cheeks.
“Your face is heating up. Was it something I said?” Hobi quirked an eyebrow.
Leaning back in your chair, you exhaled as you stared him down.
“You better watch yourself, boy. Do I have to remind you who’s in charge?” You tilted your head to the side in mock confusion.
“Boy?” He said, challenging the title you’d just given him.
“I am hundreds of years older than you.”
“I don’t believe that, you don’t have the personality of a century-old great great great grandmother.” He said with a playful smile.
“Of course I don’t. We adapt to the times. It’s how we stay hidden. Don’t you think it’d be a dead giveaway if I still spoke like a character in a fucking Shakespeare play?”
He scoffed.
“Please, you weren’t alive at the same time as Shakespeare.”
“Maybe I was, maybe I wasn’t.” You said as you nonchalantly sipped your coffee.
“How old are you anyway?” He asked, genuinely curious.
You gasped, putting your hand over your heart in exaggerated shock.
“Villain! I am sick when I do look on thee. Don’t you know to never ask a lady her age?”
Hobi rolled his eyes.
“Thou crusty batch of nature! The tartness of his face sours ripe grapes!”
“Alright, you’re being dramatic.”
“Zounds! You rogue! You rascal!”
“Now you’re just quoting Othello.”
“Away you three inch fool! More of your conversation would infect my brain.”
Hobi sighed deeply, giving up.
“Finish your cake.” He said.
You smiled in victory, popping a strawberry in your mouth.
~~~
You slid another square of chocolate past your lips as your eyes scanned over the outline board. This was your second bar; it sat there on your desk with the gold wrapper peeled back, curling around the edges. You just couldn’t seem to satisfy your craving for something sweet.
Sighing, you picked up your phone to try to distract yourself.
2:42 — You: hey yoongles.
2:44 — Yoongi: afternoon, charles.
2:45 — You: whatcha doin?
2:47 — Yoongi: editing. You? Working hard, I presume.
2:48 — You: ugh. Trying to. This one copy editor is pissing me off.
2:49 — Yoongi: describe them, exactly.
2:50 — You: bitch. Grade A bitch. You’d hate her.
2:51 — Nice. I love hating people.
You chuckled to yourself. Yoongi always managed to make you feel at ease.
2:53 — You: I made you lunch and left it in the fridge. Did you eat it?
2:55 — Yoongi: it had spinach in it.
2:56 — You: Yoongi!
2:57 — Yoongi: yessss?
2:58 — You: EAT LUNCH.
2:59 — Yoongi: I DID.
3:01 — You: CRACKERS AND ALCOHOL DOESN’T COUNT.
The three dots appeared and disappeared.
3:05 — Yoongi: I don’t like spinach.
3:07 — You: you don’t like anything.
3:08 — Yoongi: I like sleep and you.
A big goofy smile crossed your face. Coming from him, it meant a lot. He even put you in the same category as sleep, which he valued almost more than air.
With a newfound fuzzy feeling in your tummy, you set your phone down and tried to get back to work.
Pacing back and forth in front of the editorial board, tapping a pen on your chin, your analytical mind churned and ticked like a whirring machine on full power.
A soft knock came at your office door.
“Yes?” You called.
Melody shyly stuck her head in.
“Darling, I’m in the middle of being fantastic, can it wait until later?” You said.
“A package came for you.” She said, blushing a bit at your nickname.
You averted your eyes back to the board, waving your hand dismissively.
“Just leave it on my desk.”
You didn’t see as Melody responded with a curt nod, disappearing back into the hall to return a few moments later with her arms full.
Instead of cardboard on wood, you heard the crinkling of wax paper. Puzzled, you turned your head. Instead of a box, a big, beautiful bouquet of bright red tulips sat on the tabletop.
You looked at Melody with confused eyes, but she only smiled knowingly and ducked out of the room, closing the door behind her.
Approaching the vibrant bundle, you picked up the card tucked between two of the buds.
Have a nice day, Charlie. Hopefully I was able to make it a bit better.
— Jimin
You read it over three times. Staring unbelievably at the vibrance of the flowers, you stroked the petals, plush and soft against your fingertip. This must be what his lips feel like.
You immediately shook the thought from your head.
He is such a sweetheart! He went through all this trouble for me? And here I’ve been ignoring him for the past three weeks.
A surge of vicious guilt stabbed you in the gut. You cursed at yourself for believing that distancing yourself and turning into a frigid bitch would solve anything. The only thing it did was hurt Jimin and leave you hungry.
Suddenly rigid with determination, you hurried to gather your things.
“Should I block off the rest of your day, then?” Melody asked as you stormed out of your office, your face masked with the purposeful expression she knew so well.
“Yes, please.” You said as you adjusted your jacket. “I’ve gotta get some shit done.”
“Okay, I’ve penciled you in for one day of excess drinking and general ass kick-ery.”
You smiled at her.
“What would I do without you?”
~~~
The front door slammed. A dozen different shopping bags hung from your arms, most of them filled with groceries.
Jungkook was sitting on the couch, controller in his hand, eyes glued to the TV. When he heard you come in, he looked up and smiled, showing his adorable front teeth.
“Hey Charlie.” He greeted.
“Hey bunny.” You set the load on the kitchen counter.
“What's for dinner?” He asked, popping up from his seat to inspect the contents of the bags.
“Beef and veggie stir fry.”
It was Jimin's favorite.
“Jimin's not here, right?” You asked.
You wanted it to be a surprise. After being so mean, you were determined to make it up to him. You’d planned something special, and after he’d had his dinner, you would have yours.
Just the thought of it made you lick your lips.
“No, he's got a class tonight.”
You nodded, excitement bubbling as you set to work chopping vegetables.
Just as you were finishing up, you heard the front door. Jimin came into the apartment, hair damp with sweat, workout clothes rumpled. He dropped his dance bag by the door and inhaled deeply.
“Stir fry?” He called out after identifying the scent.
“Hi Chim!” You said cheerfully as he stepped into the kitchen.
He blinked. You'd barely even acknowledged him in the past few weeks, let alone called him by his nickname, and he was a bit taken aback.
“H-Hi Charlie.” He said as his cheeks flushed. You flashed him a pearly smile, outlined in freshly-applied red lipstick.
“Hungry?” You were in the dining room now, setting the table.
“Ye-Yeah, just let me shower first.”
Once he was gone, you grinned to yourself.
Perfect. You’d snuck up to his bedroom right before he got home and placed one of the shopping bags (a Chanel bag, to be precise) on his bed.
You were just about to set the last bowl on the table after tidying up when you heard footsteps pattering down the stairs.
Jimin was fresh out of the shower, fluffy hair hanging in front of his eyes. He was wearing a soft white sweater; the symbol on his right lapel was two overlapping, back-to-back red C’s. Even with the designer piece of clothing, Jimin’s smile was by far the prettiest thing he was wearing.
You remembered every word of the note you’d written him, you could picture it nestled in the folds of the tissue paper.
Jimin, I’m sorry for being so cold to you lately. It wasn’t your fault. Thank you for the flowers. You always make my day better.
— Charlie ♡
Heart fluttering at the memory, you busied yourself with distributing the silverware. After everyone was seated around the table, you started to pass around the rice.
“So, Charlie, tell us about the eighteenth century.” Hoseok said with a teasing look in your direction.
“Is this your attempt at making dinner-appropriate conversation?” You replied, swirling your tongue over a cherry-flavored lollipop.
Jimin was watching your every move with hawk-like intensity. You were perfectly aware of how he gulped and clenched his jaw every time your lips wrapped around the red orb, and you were deriving a great amount of pleasure from it.
“What were you doing in the eighteenth century?” Namjoon asked, genuinely curious.
“Hell if I know. I spent half of that century in an opium den. And the other half saying “what the fuck is happening?” When you've been alive for as long as I have, the years start to jumble together. Like, one time back in 1904...or was it 1914, wait what year is it now?”
Everyone rolled their eyes and gave up on trying to get any coherent information out of you.
Once everyone was finished eating, everyone but you, obviously, the table was cleared. You were about to load all the plates into the sink when Jin stopped you.
“Don't worry, we got it.” He said with a wide smile.
You glanced into the kitchen to see Namjoon, Taehyung, and Yoongi starting on the dishes.
“Are you sure? I can do them if you—”
“Come on, Charlie. You cook almost every meal. Let us do this for you.” Jin said, putting a warm hand on your shoulder.
The small gesture sent your whole body tingling with heat.
You and Jin got along very well. He was tidy, something you appreciated, and you both valued hard work and organization. You would think that the two of you would get along partly because he was the oldest, but Jin was one of the most childish out of the group, along with Taehyung.
Not to mention he was devastatingly handsome. It was very distracting.
“Alright, thank you.” You said, proud of yourself for keeping your voice steady.
He nodded, flashing another radiant smile, and patted you on the back.
You turned towards the living room, eyes searching for one specific person.
“Jimin.” You called, causing the boy to snap his head up to look at you.
“Yes?”
You beckoned him towards you with one finger, and led him to the screen doors that opened out to the balcony. He eagerly followed behind you as the two of you stepped outside, night air sweeping past your faces. The light filtering through the windows plus the twinkling stars illuminated the wide space. You walked past the fire pit up to the patio table against the railing.
The building towered over the city, overlooking the skyline, glittering against the sea of lights. The view only added to the value of your top-floor apartment.
“Did you like your gift?” You asked.
He nodded vigorously, smiling so big his eyes turned into two thin crescents.
“Thank you.” He said.
“Don't thank me yet, there's more.”
Coming up behind him, you placed one hand over his face.
“Close your eyes.” You whispered, your mouth right by his ear, close enough to kiss.
You felt his lashes flutter against your palm as he obeyed, smiling to yourself as you felt a shiver run through his body.
Jimin felt the cool touch of metal against his skin. Once you'd permitted him to open his eyes, he saw that you had fastened a silver YSL necklace around his neck.
His mouth fell open. First Chanel, now Saint Laurent?
“Like it?” You asked.
“Y-You really didn’t have to do this.”
“I wanted to, Chim. It’ll make up for the way I’ve been acting lately.”
His gaze was locked on you as you stepped closer. You and Jimin were the same height, so your eyes were perfectly level. Even so, your commanding energy often made you seem and feel taller, especially if you were wearing heels.
“Now that you’ve had your dinner,” You began, reaching up to stroke the smooth slope of his neck.
“Can I have mine?”
You were expecting Jimin to blush, to shrink under your piercing stare, but to your surprise, his mouth twisted in a smirk, looking at you through hooded lids. Instead of those big brown puppy eyes you were so used to, he regarded you with a sultry, sexy expression.
“I’ve been waiting a long time for you to ask me that question.” He said, his voice low and resonant.
You smiled.
“Come here.” You said.
Jimin obeyed. Taking his hand, you pulled him over to one of the patio chairs and pushed him down. You climbed into his lap, straddling him.
“You have no idea how hard it was to stay away from you.” You muttered, barely loud enough for him to hear, staring at the bulging veins in his neck.
“Then why did you?” Jimin asked. You could hear the slight hurt in his voice, making your throat contract with guilt. Your gaze lowered, avoiding his eyes, as you swallowed hard.
“I...I didn’t want you to think this was turning into something it isn’t.”
He stared at you, then looked down with disappointment clouding in his eyes.
You gently held his chin, tilting his head up to look at you. Fingers tracing the line of his jaw, you ran your thumb over his plump bottom lip. His mouth felt just as you predicted, soft as rose petals. You sat there playing with his lips, rubbing, brushing, feather-light, tugging them between your fingers.
There was that blush you were looking for. Jimin’s gaze was focused solely on your face, looking at you like you were the only other thing in the universe.
“If this isn’t what I think it is,” He said. “Then why are you doing that?”
With your breath quickening, you abandoned his mouth to slide your hand down his neck.
“Because I’m selfish.” You muttered.
“No you’re not. You’re the most giving person I know.” He replied immediately.
You just smiled weakly, shaking your head.
“If I was smart, I wouldn’t be doing this.”
But you didn’t stop. You ran your hands over his shoulders, pulling the sweater aside to reveal more skin.
Jimin paused, studying you.
“Who says you always have to be smart about everything?” He said.
That made you look up.
“When was the last time you did something because you wanted to?”
He was looking at you hopefully again, the puppy eyes were back. Jimin had such a sweet face, you wanted to smother it in kisses until he was completely covered with your lipstick.
After a moment of consideration, you made up your mind.
You leaned forward in your position on his lap, hands drifting down to glide over his back. You dragged your long red nails up and down, making him shudder.
“If I did, what would you want me to do to you?” You asked.
Jimin’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed.
“I would want you to kiss me.”
You quirked an eyebrow.
“Is that all?”
“Anything more is up to you.”
He was right. Jimin wasn’t going to push you. You were the one who cut him off, if things were to go further it had to be your decision.
Your hands grazed down his spine, arms sinking low to cradle his body closer. Anticipation gripped Jimin’s limbs as he hung onto your every move. Slowly, teasingly, you angled your body over his, and moved to close the gap between your mouths.
He could still taste the lingering sweetness of the lollipop on your tongue.
All the tension corded in his muscles seemed to release as you melted into him, like sugar dissolving in water. He finally moved, as if he’d been waiting for permission, and kissed you back eagerly, gripping your waist and digging your hips into his.
The kiss was sweet, gentle, and hot all at the same time.
The pressure you exerted on him was light, barely enough to keep your lips connected. You wanted to tease him a bit, see how much it took to get him desperate.
Jimin chased your lips with his own, seeking friction, seeking you, but you denied him. Drawing back, you disconnected your mouths with a loud, wet sound that was more melodious in your ears than music.
You ran your tongue along his bottom lip.
Immediately, obediently, he opened up, granting you access. But you just continued to tease.
You traced the outline of his big, beautiful lips, sucking on the upper, taking the lower between your teeth and tugging until eventually letting go and allowing it to snap back into place.
Jimin sat there, motionless except for his heaving chest, eyes closed, with his mouth hanging open as you explored its every nook and cranny. The dip of his cupids bow, the sensitive corners, every swell and seam.
“You taste like fucking candy.” You sighed, brushing the lightest of touches along his jaw, then his cheek, then coming back to his mouth to seal it with a kiss, firmer this time.
This kiss was a mess of heat and desperation, all wet and sloppy.
Jimin’s hands slid up to creep under your shirt, drawing you closer by the small of your back. He was gasping now, fighting for breath while still refusing to break away from you. He moaned against your mouth when you rolled your hips on his growing bulge.
Your hands were tangled in his hair, tugging on it like you knew he liked, drawing out more strangled noises of pleasure.
At the sound of a particularly wanton moan, you pulled back, making him whimper at the loss of contact.
“Don’t stop.” He whined, eyes still closed as he leaned forward, trying to find you.
You placed a hand on his chest to keep him at bay. He finally looked at you, a confused expression on his flushed face.
“Are you sure you want this?” You asked. “Once we start, I might not be able to stop.”
The last thing you wanted to do was to scare him. It was no secret that vampires were natural predators, and that ravenous energy often translated into more...intimate aspects of their life. In all your years, you’d only met a few vampires that took on the role of submissive, and you didn’t consider yourself to be one of them. Of course, you liked to be dominated occasionally, but it took a very special person to be able to handle that position.
Jimin was gazing up at you with those wide, docile eyes. He licked his lips.
“I’m sure. I want this. I want you.”
You smiled.
The panther and the prey. The lion and the lamb.
Something inside you snapped. Snaking your hand between his legs, you palmed him through his jeans.
Jimin tensed, screwing his eyes shut as his head fell back.
“You’re already this hard just from a kiss? Dirty boy…” You teased, rubbing him with more friction.
Jimin bit his lip to try to keep in any noise.
“Is this all for me, hm? You get this worked up just for me?” Your voice was high and lilting.
Jimin could only manage a nod.
You chuckled to yourself, grabbing a handful of him and squeezing lightly.
“Tell me what you want me to do to you.” You whispered, looking down at your hand as you continued to play with him.
“T-Touch me,” Jimin breathed out. “Skin to skin.”
You made quick work of his zipper, sliding the waistband down low enough to reveal most of his underwear.
“Can I take these off? I want to see those gorgeous thighs.”
Jimin nodded.
You slid off his lap, dragging his pants down with you until they pooled at his ankles. Settling on your knees, you leaned forward to place a soft kiss on his clothed dick. You ran your hands over his muscular, god-like thighs, and his skin immediately broke out in goosebumps.
“You want my mouth?” You asked.
He nodded frantically.
“Speak up, sweetheart. I want to hear you loud and clear.”
“Yes! Yes, I want your mouth. Please...please, Charlie.” He whimpered. Oh God, just the sound of his desperate voice was making you wet.
You hooked two fingers in the elastic of his underwear and yanked them all the way down. They joined his pants on the floor. Grabbing each knee, you spread his legs wide.
Jimin wasn’t super long, but he was thick, and you licked your lips as you wrapped your hand around his cock.
He let out a hiss of relief.
“I like you begging.” You said, pumping him up and down. “Do it again.”
Jimin sucked in a breath of air through his teeth, jaw clenched. He was panting like a dog on a hot day.
“P-Please...please, Charlie. I’ve waited so long…”
“Have you now?” You purred.
“Ever since we first moved in.”
He was being far more submissive than you expected. Jimin was a tease, you’d known that for a long time, you were expecting a little more brattiness. Maybe he was holding back, giving you what you wanted. He was a sucker for praise, after all.
“You’re being so good for me.” You said, fondling his balls.
The small, shy smile that crossed his face made your heart flutter.
“Are you getting off knowing that anybody could walk by right now? That anybody could see you like this, all spread out and helpless.” You teased his slit to emphasize your point.
A choked groan caught in Jimin’s throat as he threw his head back.
“You’re such a needy boy. It must’ve been torture for you. Sorry I made you wait so long.” You said in an overly sweet voice, jerking him off at a faster pace.
Scooting closer, you leaned forward to lick a slow strip up the underside of his shaft.
Jimin let out a long, breathy “ooohhh.”
You wrapped your lips around his tip and started to suck him like one of your lollipops.
He was squirming now, clenching his fists at his sides, trying to control himself, trying to keep quiet. You were right when you said that anybody could walk by and see you.
Jimin moaned pathetically through pursed lips.
You released him with a pop, only to wet your lips and dive back down, taking his entire length. You bobbed up and down a few times, and then you heard something.
There was movement at the sliding door.
Moving faster than Jimin’s eyes could follow, you yanked his pants back up and shot to your feet.
Jimin blinked, disoriented, as Taehyung opened the sliding door and stuck his head outside.
“Charlie, Jin has challenged you to a game of Mario Kart.” He said.
“I'm a little busy, Tae.” You said, trying to keep your voice steady.
Taehyung just sighed.
“Great, now I owe Jin ten bucks.” He said.
“What?” You replied, interest peaked.
“Well, Jin bet me that you would chicken out, so now I have to—”
“Where is the cocky bastard?” You snapped suddenly, stomping towards the door.
“He's on crack. The headass can't even beat Rainbow Road.” You mumbled.
Taehyung smirked in victory as you slipped past him, even Jimin was laughing at the situation.
Taehyung moved to follow you, but the obvious bulge in Jimin's pants did not go unnoticed by him.
~~~
You came to regret fooling around with Jimin after your head was clear. It must’ve been the guilt of ignoring him, or maybe the fact that you hadn’t been fucked in a while, whatever it was, it wasn’t right.
This realization only filled you with even more guilt. It wasn’t fair to Jimin, your inability to control yourself was only giving him false hope. You needed to come to a decision and stick to it. Either vow to be responsible and only treat him as a friend, or go with your gut and follow your desires.
Of course, you couldn’t make yourself come to a decision right away, so you decided to spend some time alone.
You were lounging in one of the oversized armchairs in your bedroom, fresh out the shower, sipping coffee, when your highly-tuned ears heard the doorbell ring from downstairs. Still in your bathrobe, towel wrapped around your head, you hurried down the stairs.
“I’ll get it, I’ll get it, I’ll get it.” You chanted as you ran towards the front door.
When you re-entered the apartment, your arms were full of pizza boxes. You set them down on the kitchen counter, all of them except one, and then skipped back up the stairs. Now that the boys’ dinner was taken care of, you had the rest of the evening to yourself.
You shed your robe, snuggled into your top-quality silk sheets, and opened your favorite show on your laptop.
You had to order a whole different pizza for yourself because the boys hated your favorite flavor: pesto and white sauce with spinach and mushrooms. Eh, guess you couldn’t blame them.
“Nom nom nom.” You mumbled to yourself as you ate practically half a slice in one bite.
The next few hours were pure bliss, just you, food, a glass of wine, and some mindless TV. You hadn’t done this in a while, since before the boys moved in.
Back when you lived alone, you didn’t have to worry about anyone walking in on you lying naked in bed (you liked the way the expensive silk felt on your bare skin), but now you had to make sure everyone was sufficiently occupied before you tried to go around without any clothes.
You were just about to top off your third glass when a knock came at your door.
“Hang on,” You called, slipping back into your robe.
Taehyung stood there holding a loaded laundry basket. He flashed you a boxy smile.
“Special delivery.” He said.
You chuckled, opening the door wider for him to come in.
“Just set it in the closet.”
He was slightly taken aback. You were very private about your bedroom, and none of the boys had ever seen the inside of it.
You ran a hand through your still-damp hair, turning towards the bed to wipe off the crumbs.
Seeing that you were serious, Taehyung hesitantly took a few steps inside, looking around in awe.
Since it was the master bedroom, it was twice the size of any of the guest rooms. A beautiful king size bed was pushed up against the center of the wall, the frame decorated with swirling gold designs and a mountain of pillows. One wall was entirely dedicated to a large set of shelves, stuffed full of books, leather-bound journals, and what looked like hundreds of vinyl records, all frayed and worn at the edges.
There was a desk crowded with papers and magazines and dirty coffee cups, a heart-shaped ashtray sitting on top of the clutter.
But the thing that immediately stole his attention was the wall unobstructed by any furniture.
It's entire surface was covered in photographs, not a speck of white was visible. Old Polaroids, faded prints, pictures that looked like they were taken decades ago, torn and yellowed with age.
Some of them had you in it, but they were mostly of other people, family members and friends and their children and grandchildren, they were all displayed proudly on your wall.
He saw pictures of weddings and funerals, reunions and holidays. There were a few recurring figures in the photographs, alternating between younger and older versions of the same face, but you always looked the same. No matter how far back the pictures went, you always looked the same.
Taehyung snapped out of it, tearing his gaze away from the hoard of memorabilia to take care of the laundry.
While your back was turned, you didn’t see Taehyung approach the closed door next to the desk, thinking it was the closet. You heard the wood creak, then the sound of the laundry basket hitting the floor.
Turning in confusion, you were about to ask what the matter was, but a gasp of pure horror instantly replaced whatever words you were planning to say.
The door Taehyung had opened wasn’t the closet. Yes, there were shelves and drawers and hooks, but they weren’t for storing clothes.
Taehyung stood there with his eyes blown wide, jaw dropped. He stared at the contents of the small room in pure shock.
Hanging on various hooks on the inside of the door were bundles of different colored rope, varying in texture and material. Underneath that was a rack of nothing but cuffs, leather, metal, fur-lined. There was a large set of drawers, transparent so you could see everything inside, that contained a wide assortment of vibrators, plugs, beads, rings, dildos, and every other toy you could think of. Hanging on the wall behind that was whips, paddles, leashes.
Taehyung could hardly believe his eyes.
Gags, blindfolds, harnesses. Everything he had ever fantasized about was right here.
“I-I...it’s not-I mean, y-you weren’t…” You could barely stutter out the words. You were mortified.
None of them were ever supposed to see that. None of them were ever supposed to know about all your kinky tendencies.
It felt like a nightmare come to life. This would ruin everything. Now every time he looked at you he would remember the mini sex dungeon you had in your bedroom.
Your face felt white hot. The silence rang in your ears. Every muscle in your body was stiff as a board as you waited for Taehyung’s reaction.
His face was unreadable as he reached out to touch one of the collars, the tag hanging from the leather strap detailed with the word Pet in pretty cursive letters.
“Have you used any of these on Jimin?” He asked suddenly.
Your eyes widened.
“I-what?” You watched with anticipation as he ran his fingertip along one of the leashes, a peculiar look in his eyes.
“I saw you with Jimin the other night. Have you used any of this on him yet?” His voice was surprisingly clear and calm.
Your eyes darted back and forth along the floor, desperately trying to string together a coherent sentence.
“We haven’t...we never…” You sighed. “No, I haven’t used anything on him. No one knows about this but you.”
You didn’t know, but Taehyung felt a swell of pride at that. He was pleased that he was the only one who knew about this side of you.
His eyes raked over your form, still in your bathrobe, making you fidget.
“Does it bother you?” He asked. “That I know this about you?”
“Well...it doesn’t exactly make things easier.”
He tilted his head to the side like a confused puppy, something he knew drove you crazy.
“What do you mean?” He knew exactly what you meant.
“How am I supposed to act normally around you now?” You replied.
He was staring you down with those dangerous eyes of his.
“I don’t want things to be normal between us.” He said.
Shit. There it is.
You couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.
“Tell me what you’re thinking, Taehyung. No more games.” You commanded as you crossed your arms.
You saw his Adam’s apple bob as he swallowed hard.
“Seeing you and Jimin together…” He began. “Made me think about all the feelings I’ve been having towards you, and it made me realize something.”
You shifted your weight to one hip, urging him to continue.
“I want you too.” He said.
Your heart jumped in your chest.
“I don’t care if you’re fooling around with Jimin, just as long as I can have you too.”
A heavy silence stretched between you, the only sound being the pound of Taehyung’s rushing blood in your ears.
You had to come to a decision now. Either reject him and establish your relationship as strictly platonic, or give in to the desires you’d been entertaining ever since you laid eyes on him.
It didn’t take long for one side of the argument to prevail.
Taking a few slow steps towards him, you let your hands fall back at your sides, your eyes slinking seductively.
You couldn’t wait to see how that collar would look on him.
“Well then, I guess I just added one more toy to my collection.”

Favorite Episodes of Steven Universe (in alphabetical order)
Tumblr media
Alone Together (Season One, Episode 36)
Alone Together is such a visual episode. There isn’t much talking while the Gems try to teach Steven to fusion dance, Steven and Connie only exchange a few words before dancing, there’s no words in the song they dance to and Stevonnie doesn’t actually say too much. It truly feels like an experience where the audience is feeling the creation of this new person right along with the characters.
Tumblr media
Bismuth (Season Three, Episodes 20-21)
This episode was a can of worms. A new Gem who was apart of the original team, clearly coded as Black with more Black Panther/Malcolm X type views. Now knowing how this thing plays out, I know why the episode ended as it did. Even being so empathetic and compassionate, Steven can be very binary in his thinking about good and evil and you needed someone to challenge his perspective. “Shattering is wrong,” he says, “Mom wouldn’t do that,” he says...only to find out that Mom did do that.
I really think that this episode more than any other altered Steven’s (and the Gems) perception of his mother. Bismuth is walking proof of her hypocrisy, her lies and her manipulation which is why Pink bubbled her in Lion’s mane and told the Gems she lost track of her.
Putting the heavy stuff aside, I really love Bismuth’s design and how she interacts with the Gems. You can clearly feel the love (and later betrayal) in those relationships.
Tumblr media
Escapism (Season Five, Episode 28)
A lot of people hated this episode because it felt like a loss of momentum but to me, this signaled the calm before the storm. So much happens in “Change Your Mind” - action and dialogue wise - and in this episode, you just get to feel Steven’s desperation. They really need help, he is very overwhelmed and all odds seem against him. Hearing Stevonnie quietly sing “Escapism” in the background of Steven’s travels just cements these feelings of loneliness and isolation...and also the trio of Lion, Greg and Bismuth..it’s just interesting.
Tumblr media
Hit the Diamond (Season Three, Episode 5)
Honestly. Every time you think Steven Universe has gotten as gay as it can get, you have episodes like this that not only has a lesbian couple playing baseball but has another character openly comment that they’re flirting. It’s never been done before and I’m not sure that another show will ever do it.
Tumblr media
It Could’ve Been Great (Season Two, Episode 23)
Life and death and love and birth and peace and love on the planet Earth. This is another episode that starts off super cute with a good lesson about taking a break and not working yourself too hard...and then it just spirals deeper and deeper into darkness. Peridot clearly isn't completely on the side of the Gems, she clearly still finds her prior means of life exciting and acceptable. In hindsight, Peridot is actually spot on about Rose Quartz, in that she did doom the planet and while I didn't want to see Peridot get her ass kicked by the Gems that scene, where you get close-ups of all the Gems faces INCLUDING Steven's - is just great.
Tumblr media
Jailbreak (Season One, Episode 52)
This was the game-changer. We found out there was a Diamond authority. We met Jasper. We got a fusion. We found out there had already been a fusion.  We got a kickass song, that to this DAY is basically the anthem of the show. And we got Ruby and Sapphire who in their five minutes of screen time gave us a glimpse into an epic love story. This episode has it all!
Tumblr media
Marble Madness (Season One, Episode 44)
Steven and Connie reading! The goop hug! Peridot! There is so much going on in this episode but at the heart of it really is Garnet allowing Steven to be heard. Given that this is the second episode with robonoids, I have to assume that the reason Garnet goes with Steven’s idea is that she tells him in “Warp Tour”: I should’ve listened to you, you’re a Crystal Gem too. So this time she does listen and Steven was right but also very wrong. The Gems do learn that Peridot has a mission on Earth, but Steven asking Peridot questions has a few consequences down the road.
Tumblr media
Mindful Education (Season Four, Episode 4)
I actually like the beginning of this episode more than I like its end. There’s a call back to “The Message”
Garnet: Hold the phone. Now give the phone to me.
And honestly, I just think it’s a great lesson for kids. I suffer from severe anxiety and after this episode aired I constantly replayed “Here Comes a Thought” because it helps me find my footing. It also helps my son when he feels frustrated at school or in situations he has no control over. So more for the song than for its content, I love this episode.
Tumblr media
Mr. Greg (Season Three, Episode 8)
The Crewniverse was able to fit SEVEN songs into an eleven-minute episode without it feeling crowded and that is an accomplishment in and of itself. I love that even though it’s a musical there actually is a point: Greg and Pearl (mostly Pearl) really needed to move past their relationship regarding Rose. We see what resentment did to Amethyst (Maximum Capacity is a trip) and it just wasn’t healthy to let those feelings continue to fester. Also “It’s Over, Isn’t It?” is absolutely stunning. It is Pearl’s defining song and tells us everything we need to know about her character.
Tumblr media
Serious Steven (Season One, Episode 8)
This is early Steven Universe and it’s just adorable. Steven is apart of the team but still not quite part of the team and is trying very hard to be useful, he’s still a kid and this is arguably WAAAYY to intense for him, but Garnet is there and it’s just sweet.
Tumblr media
Sworn to the Sword (Season Two, Episode 5)
Steven and Connie are so incredibly cute together. I love their jam song, I love that Connie's the one to learn to fight (I can't imagine Steven swinging that sword around,) "Do It For Her" sounds so sweet and motivational but it's also kind of dark? This is also the first time Steven and Connie really fight together and solidify themselves as a duo and I just love it. Quick note on the rewatch though: it seems like Pearl was trying to make Connie into a Pearl. Am I wrong?
Tumblr media
The Test (Season One, Episode 38)
Everything about this episode: the setup, the pacing, the ending - is great. I love the levels the Gems create for Steven and I love that both parties never knew that they needed validation from the other. Steven reassures the Gems that they're doing great jobs as guardians, while Steven comes to understand that the Gems just want him to believe in himself and do right by him.
Tumblr media
That Will Be All (Season Four, Episode 15)
Honestly, it's the song. I do like the Famethyst and Garnet punching Holly Blue. But the clear highlight of this episode is having TWO Diamonds and hearing Patti Lupone singing "What's The Use of Feeling (Blue)?"
Tumblr media
We Need to Talk (Season Two, Episode 8)
The intro to this episode with Steven and Connie is just adorable and Rainbow Quartz is awesome! But what I really like is that last part of the episode where Greg tries to fuse with Rose and they both realize that she doesn't completely respect him. She thinks he's fun and cute but doesn't necessarily see him as a complete person. I'm someone who really doesn't like Rose Quartz, but I have to admit that I actually do believe she was in love with Greg. I do believe that this is where she started to make an effort to be a better person and not just a Diamond playing with humans.
Tumblr media
When it Rains (Season Two, Episode 18)
What I love about this episode was the pay off of Steven and Peridot's relationship, while her arc wasn't complete until "Message Received," "When It Rains" is when she first shows care for Steven. It makes sense as he was the first person she interacted with on Earth, he doesn't immediately attack her like the other Gems do. In fact every interaction after "Jailbreak" they've been like a set of kids. She asks him politely if the other Gems are with him, he tells her to have a great weekend, she does kidnap him but doesn't try to hurt him and he gives her back her foot. Seeing Peridot so afraid of something she's never experienced and then telling Steven not to go outside because she's worried about him is so sweet and marks a change in her character.

anyways is cheesy, funny and little spicy .. so if you don’t want to read... this is your chance...
...
....
CHANCE LOST !!! So we staaaart !
“Today is the day!” Cass thought when she woke up.
She had been thinking about this opportunity since the day she had received a call from his work place, when they told her that they were very happy for the twenty three year old snow leopard turning four years of work in the kindergarten school where he worked at. He loved to work with little ones ever since he was in college and he started a trainee part time job in a local kindergarten in Outback Island. She was trying to think a way to celebrate this good news because she had returned from covering her work hours at her job, when she thought of an ingenious idea!. She knew Andy is a very forgetful person, so he wouldn’t remember this due to all his work. So that is when the mission “Surprise coffee” was decided of!
She noticed her very handsome and sexy snow leopard, who was sleeping next to her, waking up.
“Good morning, sweetie.” He said, still a little sleepy and trying to kiss his fiancé.
“Good morning, handsome. How did you… No… No.. No.. ! Remember that I have terrible breath in the morning?” She said sheepishly before he could kiss her on the lips.
“It’s worth to die for.” He grinned.
“Nothing is worth to die for I want my future husband to live” She joked, giggling.
They chuckled, she took a mint pill and finally kissed him. They got up from bed and prepared for the day. Cass smiled to herself, remembering the four days of vacation ahead of her. She went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for her beloved, while he was taking a shower. She found this the innate moment to call her close friends Chase and Gloria.
“Hello?”  Gloria giggled in the background, before she turned to the phone making Cass smirk knowingly, that Chase was teasing her again.
“Hi Gloria! Sorry for calling this early but hey. Remember you wanted to meet up to collect some tickets, for your vacation in Pawaii, at the airport? I wanted to talk about something there. Important. You think you can be there earlier?”
“Yes, of course. Chase and I will meet you there. ASAP. We will leave in an hour.”
“Sounds perfect! And before hanging up, I wanted to ask you, do you have some time this evening?”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chase spotted the lovely ocelot wearing a pink dress pulling Gloria through the crowd to get to her. When they finally met, they greeted each other and proceeded to get the tickets for the couple as promised, all the while Cass explaining her idea to her friends. She also asked them to keep the idea a surprise for Andy, knowing his nature to forget important dates, this being his own achievement at his own work place. She laughed as told how she played along this morning with the snow leopard, letting him assume that it was but a normal day. This kindergarten so happened to be the one where the infamous Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde brought their kits down, to Andy’s kindergarten - due to the good mannerisms and the wonderful way he taught the kits. Cass had also invited two other close friends - a couple, Su and Jay - down to the The Jungle, a cafe located in suburbs of The Downtown. Everyone had all agreed to meet up there by the set time Cass had provided.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was 4pm, and just as his lovely ocelot had asked him to, he stood in the designated spot she had asked. They were to get some lunch together. A few minutes later, in the distance, he could make out Cass’s car.
She usually doesn’t take the car… unless… His thinking was interrupted by Cass yelling his name, her head outside her car window, as she parked her car.
In that moment Cass jumped out of the vehicle, waving and running towards him, congratulating him for his great work.
“I thought you had forgotten about it.”  Andy said surprised and happy that she had remember.
“I couldn’t forget such an important day, hun.  I felt you would. Seeing as how you were mumbling to yourself all morning about your work. If it wasn’t for Principal Marsy you wouldn’t have remembered at all.” She chuckled.
“Well, you know me!”
“Of course I know you. You are my future husband.
“I hope I do that job correctly”
“ You already do.” She gave a reassuring smile.
They quickly finished their lunch, much to Andy’s dismay who wished to have a bit of dessert before leaving, walked to their car and gave each other a passionate kiss, before driving out to where Cass had planned the surprise, unknown to Andy still. Funnily enough, Andy didn’t know is that after that meal, they would go on a very funny date, one that everyone would remember.
An hour and a half later, they arrived at The Jungle. Cass gave a sigh of relief. Just in time...
Cass leapt out of the car in a flash, which again, astonished Andy, making him suspicious of her behavior because she wasn’t someone to be overly hyped about coffee, unlike some people Andy knew. So, this meant that there was more to this.
When he entered the cafe, and spotted Cass, he noticed the happy smiles of his friends, all waiting to congratulate him on a job well done! As he approached them, each one shook his hand or gave him a hug as they greeted and welcomed him to sit their table. A delicious apple pie sat atop the counter, making Andy’s mouth water. His favorite dessert! He smirked at Cass, seeing a huge grin on her face, as realization dawned on him.
Jay, the hazel-eyed arctic wolf, asked Andy in a cheerful tone, “Congrats, man. You’re doing pretty well. We’re all so proud of you.  So How is to live finally together and being engaged?” He gave a playful nudge with his elbow.
”I wouldn’t ask for more. It’s awesome to cuddle and see movies with someone.” Andy replied, smiling at his sweet ocelot, who was talking animatedly with the other girls.
“Yes, but he doesn’t like horror movies.” Cass faked annoyance and then smiled.
“What? No!” Su, the small white bunny, wearing a black hijab, exclaimed, turning her attention to them.
“Don’t worry. No ghost is gonna come get you when you have a fierce girlfriend as Cass.” Jay teased him, putting one paw on his shoulder.
As they all sat down, a waitress, a black panther, came with a menu to jot down their orders. She wore a normal cafeteria dress. A problem arose when the waitress, as she took the orders, behaved in a very flirtatious manner with Chase, Gloria’s boyfriend. Once she left to get the drinks for all of them, the girls tried calming the light brown bunny down, as she ranted about the waitress trying to steal her fox. As they tried speaking to her, the green-eyed panther had returned with their drinks.
“So. One glass of water, a hot chocolate, two sodas and two beers. One for the handsome fox right there, right?” She winked at him, and that’s when the arctic fox stood up angrily, startling the waitress and those around him.
“I’m sorry, but I am not interested. Could you please stop flirting with me? It’s making my girlfriend, as well as me, very uncomfortable. So, I would recommend you to stop if you know what is good for you.” He spoke in an serious tone, glaring at the waitress.
The waitress made an angry face, as if she was not used to be turned down. She huffed as she turned around and left them alone. When Chase faced back, Gloria jumped at him and kissed him on the lips.They all cheered and made a toast for that act of love and of course, to Andy.
The night was almost over. They all sat merrily, talking about future plans. They all wanted to get married and have little balls of fur running around. They all made a promise, that when the time came, they would take all of them together on wonderful adventures. Chase talked about the Pawaii vacation that he and Gloria were planning. Su and Jay talked about how they wanted to move to bigger house.
They finished their respective drinks soon and started to say their goodbyes, promising to do this more often, maybe going to a theme park next or just a meet up at someone’s house. The first ones to leave where Chase and Gloria in their Alpha Guilia, which amazed everyone with its beauty.
Su and Jay decided to leave as well, waving at them as they walked away, leaving Cass and Andy alone behind the shop, in the parking lot.
“Did you liked your surprise, babe?”
“Very much, mi amor. Thank you.” Andy held Cass’s face with his paw and went down to give her a tender kiss. Both smiled as they broke the kiss and entered their car.
When Andy started the engine, Cass turned around to him and said, “You know.. There might be another surprise for you.”  She winked and smiled devilishly at him.
“Oh? Something I should be scared of?”
“You know me sweetheart. Usually, of course. But this time, we need to lose some clothing.
“Let’s go home then!” Andy said, as he started to drive a little faster when he knew what extra little surprise was waiting for him.
Cass chuckled, and glared playfully at that cute and handsome snow leopard, who happened to be the love of her life, with great expectations for that night.
The End…? ;)

Drunk Buys
Random WinterIron crack AU for reasons lol.
Tony walks into the living room with a large box in his hands and perches in Bucky’s lap. “Babe, we need to have a talk about you drunk buying things because I have no fucking clue why the hell you bought what is in this box,” he says.
Natasha’s head whips up, “what’s in the booooox?” she asks in a surprising imitation of Brad Pitt and Tony resents the fact that she and Bucky made him watch that fucking movie.
“A replica of Gwyneth Paltro’s head,” he says without missing a beat.
Bucky looks surprised and leans over the box’s edge, “really?” he asks, curiosity written on his features.
“No Bucky, why the fuck would you buy something like that?” Though he shouldn’t be surprised at this point. For some reason he bought one thousand communion crackers and he’s Jewish, not Catholic. They still have a good three hundred of them left because they’re fucking tired of eating Jesus. Or at least he thinks that’s how that works, but either way they taste like cardboard and none of them want any more of them.
“He bought a pink kitty fur suit once, why are we shocked?” Natasha asks, raising an eyebrow.
“We agreed never to speak of that of the fifteen hundred dildos again,” Bucky says, looking haunted. Like he has the right, all those dildos showing up to Tony’s house brought actual media attention and Natasha made a bunch of memes about it that got really popular. But then that shouldn’t surprise him either considering she’s gotten so good at making memes she got them banned in Russia.
“Did he order some dumb shit online again? Ban him from booze,” Sam says, walking into the living room and shaking his head.
“But then who would bring us these wonderful gifts?” Bucky asks, wide eyed.
Tony sighs, “honey, do you even remember what you bought?” he asks. Bucky stares at the box for a long few moments.
“I don’t remember getting drunk to be honest,” he says eventually. “But I have a bad memory. I know I know your middle name but I can’t remember that either.” Yeah, Tony thinks that’s for the best now that Edward is attached to sparkly vampires that abuse so he leaves it.
“You should maybe not drink. I mean you once sent your ex a 3D printed model of your ass with a sticky note attached that said ‘suck on this’. That barely even makes sense,” he points out.
Sam laughs, “ah, the rare time he mails things instead of having things mailed to him. Remember when he set up that automatic mailing system to send his fifth grade teacher a copy of his degree every day for the rest of her life because she told him he’d never make it anywhere in life? I remember that because that’s the moment he proved her right,” Sam says, pleased with his insult.
Bucky flips him off but Sam pays no attention to that. “Remember when you bought Sam twelve falcons? Or spent a thousand dollars on a bunch of ant farms for Scott? I still don’t know who that is,” Tony says. “But that time you bought ten parrots and sent them to Hammer with a note that read ‘they’re trained to mock’ is probably one of the funniest I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing,” he says.
“Scott’s the guy that’s got a kid,” Nat says like that helps him any.
“I thought that was May. I am I missing something? I thought the kid’s dad was dead?” Or was it his uncle? Well shit, he can’t just ask Peter which family members of his bit the fucking dust, that’s rude.
“No, Scott has his own kid. Cassie,” Bucky says.
Tony frowns. “Well I know which kid you’re talking about now, but I thought she was Clint’s... The fuck is that new one of his named then?”
“Nathaniel because the little fucker came out a boy and ruined naming it after me,” Natasha says, obviously bitter about this. Tony thinks the baby has won there though.
He shakes his head. “Whatever, I’ll figure Scott out later. Point is you have a problem and we can’t continue to eat Jesus every time you get sad drunk. We’ve probably eaten like five Jesus’ by now.”
Natasha starts laughing and Sam sighs. “You know when those moments happen and you think ‘if someone heard this out of context they’d think we’re nuts’. Well that’s most of the interactions I have with you people. I’d say its white people but T’Challa and Rhodey do it too. Like come on man, black people aren’t furries,” he says, shaking his head. Tony laughs because he’s ninety percent sure T’Challa has no idea what a furry even is let alone how that relates to being Black Panther but Sam’s inability to get past it is hilarious.
“I think its kind of a fun quirky trait,” Bucky says, grinning a little.
Tony sighs, “honey. Consider this box and your lack of knowledge on what’s in this box. You should probably ban yourself from the computer when drunk.”
“It’s not that bad,” Bucky says in his own defense, giving Tony that sad, puppy dog look that really does make him want to scoop Bucky up and kiss him better. Not that he does because that’s enabling.
“Bucky bee, Buzzfeed has written listicles of weird shit you’ve boughten when drunk. You have a problem with drunk online shopping. Remember the five life sized Daleks you bought because you thought they were cute and you’ve never even heard of the show Doctor Who?” Because he does. Two of them are in his bedroom and he’d rather they leave because they give him nightmares with the creepy shadows they cast.
“Hold up,” Sam says, holding his hand in the air. “Did you just call him ‘Bucky bee’?”
Tony frowns, “yeah?” he asks, unsure why this is unusual when he gives everyone weird nicknames. He called Sam ‘birdman’ for over a year until Clint got annoyed because before Sam he was the only one who was referenced by birds and then he called to Sam’s nicknames too. So now Sam is the annoying little brother and Clint is the boring father. Neither like their reassessments but they both admit that it’s better than Rhodey’s platypus.
“Get the hell out of this house,” Sam says and Tony squints.
“This is my house,” he points out.
“Its my house now if you’re going to call people gay ass shit like that,” Sam says.
He frowns, “that’s homophobic.”
“Doesn’t count when you’re bisexual, die mad about it and out of my newly acquired home thanks to you saying dumb shit.”
“That’s what he’s going to lose his house over? Not that he thought minimum wage was the same as a living wage?” Nat asks.
“Okay in my defense that makes sense! What the hell is the wage minimuming if its not going into poverty? Now its just ‘weird arbitrary number some rando politician shit out’. Its not my fault I’m logical,” Tony says in his own defense.
“Why is there a taxidermy bat in here?” Bucky asks, pulling the bat out of the box on Tony’s lap. “Oh what the fuck, there’s a rat and an alligator too. And what the hell is that?” he asks. Tony looks in the box and sighs.
“Goat skull. This is why I think you have a problem. You think taxidermy is the work of the devil and yet here it is, sitting in my lap.” Bucky pulls out some more tissue paper and frowns for a moment, leaning into the box and letting out a loud shriek before he shoves Tony and the box off his lap.
Tony lets out an undignified squawk and falls to the ground, watching as Bucky’s weird drunk trinkets fall out. When he spots the spider though he jumps back into Bucky’s lap at a speed faster than anything he knew himself to be capable of. “I swear to fucking god if that thing is alive I’m leaving you!” he shrieks, ignoring how high his voice is.
Natasha goes over and scoops up the spider, “nope. Not alive,” she reports not that Tony relaxes. He’s maybe picked up some bug fear from Rhodey, who is genuinely terrified of all things insect and most things reptile. He says if it has too many legs or not enough legs it ain’t right. His threshold if four legs and that’s mostly only because he likes dogs otherwise it’d be two.
“Oh hey, I remember why I bought that stuff,” Bucky says excitedly. “Steve was pissing me off so I bought all the things he feared and planned on sticking them in his bed.”
Sam, who seems to like this idea, starts gathering Bucky’s fallen drunk buys back into the box. “What? He’s been pissing me off lately. He can deal with a bat or two in his pillow.”
“I think you’re evil,” Bucky tells him in a low tone.
“It was your idea, dipshit, you’re the evil one,” Sam points out.
“Gunna take that spider?” Tony asks and Sam snorts.
“Fuck no, those things have no right to look like that. They don’t need that many eyes or that many legs. God made a mistake with them,” he says, giving the spider a disdainful look.
Natasha frowns, “spiders are really good for ecosystems, god made a mistake with humans given how invasive and shitty we are. Spiders are good, you leave them alone,” she says, holding the creepy tarantula to her chest.
“I think god made a mistake with wasps and Sam,” Bucky says.
“Please stop drunk buying things I have heart problems and I can’t handle finding more spiders in boxes,” Tony says.
Something must occur to Bucky then because he turns to Sam wide eyed, “you might want to get home before Steve does,” he says but leaves the ominous warning at that.

HEALING RAVI - CHAPTER TWO
Finally got it done!! I was so stuck for a while!
 Hope you like this chapter! It should get interesting from here on out~~😎
Also, I may or may not have stolen a phrase from @burnt-enough-starlight
Just let me know if thats ok!! You should know what it is ;)
This is mainly from Ravi’s POV~~
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺
For the first time in a long time, Wonshik wasn’t able to sleep for hours on end. He had passed out for about five hours but then his eyes had popped open, wide awake. Knowing JiYoon was probably still asleep he decided to get some things taken care of before coming back to work on some songs. Hopefully, that would keep him busy enough until Noona would let him know it was okay to come over.
It took him twenty minutes to convince his manager to take him out. He had planned to get some things that JiYoon might need since she basically came with nothing. He knew better than to buy clothes for women unless they were there. His sister had taught him that much. He could take her shopping later to get what she really wanted. Instead he opted for basic necessities. Stopping at the first location he gathered several items. A toothbrush, toothpaste, cute pink slippers, socks (that didn’t count as clothes, right?), snacks (she would definitely get hungry sometimes), and finally some headphones. The last item would come in handy for what he had planned next.
Walking quickly with his manager, Wonshik opened the door to the cell phone shop a couple doors down. It might be a bit rash, but he wanted her to be able to contact someone, hopefully him, in case she needed something. It was difficult to get by these days without a phone. He could also share his music with her if she need something to listen to.
He picked out the model identical to his and linked it to his account. He knew he couldn’t put her name on the account. It was too risky in case someone looked on his profile. He simply listed it as a secondary phone and activated it. He started to leave when he noticed a stack of phone cases off to the side. But what really caught his attention was a simple black case with the image of a wolf on it. He chewed his lip for a moment, trying to decide if it was too cheesy to get it. Deciding that he would probably regret it later if he didn’t, he grabbed the case, payed for it, and left.
The others were still asleep when he returned so he slipped of to his room. Tired from shopping he felt that a nap would be better than trying to wrap his head around music when all he wanted to do was wrap himself around JiYoon. He wouldn’t try, of course. That could hopefully come later.
His room looked so much bigger now that Hyuk had moved to Taekwoon’s room. The panther never slept there anymore so it gave way to the opportunity for each member to have their own room.
He arranged all of the gifts he’d purchased in a bag and snapped the case on the phone before putting that in there too. He knew she was going to try and refuse but he wasn’t going to let that happen.
Laying back on his bed, his heart jumped with the exciting thought of giving her the gifts he’d picked out for her. He wanted to see her smile genuinely. He would bring her gifts everyday if it meant that smile was directed towards him. He drifted off to sleep with thoughts of her smile in his head.
————————
The buzzing of his phone woke him immediately. Grabbing at the device, he noticed a text from Noona stating that she was ordering food soon. He bolted out of bed, showered quickly, and only spent ten minutes figuring out what to wear. He concluded that comfort clothes were better. If he overdressed, JiYoon might feel uncomfortable. He grabbed the bag and headed out the door. Upon seeing Hakyeon, Hongbin, and Hyuk in the living room, he muttered a quick ‘heading over to noona’s’ before sliding out the door.
Taekwoon opened the door and ushered him in. He found Noona in the kitchen arranging some snacks and drinks. She noticed the bag and her eyebrows rose in question.
“I picked up a few things earlier that I thought JiYoon might need.” He could feel the blush on his ears and hoped they would go unnoticed. “She awake yet?”
“That was kind of you Wonshik, and yes, she’s awake. She’s in the bathroom right now.”
“Got a crush, Wonshik-ah?” Taekwoon leaned on the counter and grinned like the Cheshire cat.
“What if I do?” Wonshik felt the need to defend himself. He knew that if he denied it, the panther would know. His heartbeat had already given him away.
“Nothing wrong with it. Just take it easy with her. She’s been through too much for her age. She’s not ready for your kinks just yet.”
“I’m not like that! I’m a squishy marshmallow! Tell him, Noona!”
“Well, I would love to Wonshik but I think you forget that I’ve heard your music. And then there’s the Chained Up era. Who’s idea was that again?” She tried not to smile at teasing him but it broke through anyway.
“Aw, Noona, hyung’s rubbed off on you too much!” He lowered his head to the counter and sighed.
She giggled but laid her hand on his shoulder.
“I’m just teasing, Wonshik. I know very well that you’re a gentleman. And I think deep down, JiYoon knows it too. She was very excited to listen to the music you loaned to her this morning.”
“Really?” He smiled and hugged her. “Thanks, Noona.”
“Hands off, pup. That one’s mine.” Taekwoon stared at Wonshik’s hands wrapped around his girlfriend’s torso.
“Aw, but Wonshik gives great hugs.” She pouted and tugged Wonshik closer. She didn’t let go until Taekwoon started around the counter, fire in his eyes.
Wonshik took off for the living room, giggling. He skidded to a stop when he saw JiYoon step out of the bedroom. Her hair was still damp and she smelled amazing. Her eyes widened a bit at the commotion but smiled shyly when he spotted Wonshik.
“Hi.” Her voice was quiet and beautiful as always.
“Hello.” He could hear her heartbeat increase slightly and he prayed it wasn’t fear.
“Did you sleep well?”
“Oh! Yes, I did. Thank you very much for the music. I really enjoyed it. I’ve missed music so much. There were a few older songs. that I recognized from before…” She stopped suddenly but took a deep breath. “But it was comforting to hear them again. Oh, I have your player here.”
She walked over to the couch and retrieved the device. It was lying atop a small notebook with what looked like song titles scribbled on it.
“I hope you don’t mind but I wrote a few songs down that I really liked before I fell asleep.” She blushed slightly and he suddenly wanted to hug her.
“Yeah, of course! Which ones did you like?”
She picked up the notebook and handed it to him. He didn’t miss the fact that she held onto the notebook from the very edge so as to make sure that their fingers wouldn’t touch. It pained his heart to know that she has to avoid things like this. He enjoyed hugging and touching people. It made him feel closer to them. Maybe one day…
He reached for the notebook and made sure he didn’t touch her. Regardless of what Taekwoon had said, he made every effort to be a gentleman. He looked over the list and noticed some of his favorite songs were on there. Even a couple of his own songs had made the list. Pride swelled within him. He wanted to jumped around the room in joy but didn’t want to scare her.
“These are some good choices.” He handed the list back to her. He copied her movements from before and only held onto the very edge of the notebook so she wouldn’t feel burdened to reach for it.
“Yeah. I really like these type of melodies. Especially where…”
He listened to her explanation of the songs and realized that she really knew music. Using the correct terminology and jargon to explain further, he fell in love all over again. She trailed off when she realized that he was staring at her. She turned slightly pale.
“Did I say something wrong? I’m sorry if I-”
“No, no! I was just surprised that you knew all of that. You have a background in music?”
“There was a lady in the orphanage that I was in before. She was a music teacher and saw that I had taken an interest in it. She taught me the basics. But that was over four years ago.” She put her head down as if she was reminiscing about her past. He didn’t want to make her explain further. She already looked like she was in so much pain.
Suddenly, he remember her gifts. “Oh!” He mentally kicked himself when he saw her jump. Dammit! “Um, I was out earlier-for an entirely different reason-and decided to get a few things. I knew you didn’t really have anything with you so I bought a couple things.” He lifted the bag to her and she just looked at him, surprised.
“Go ahead, take it. Its not much but we can always get what you really want later.”
She slowly took the bag from him and sat on the couch. He sat on the floor in front of her and watched. He had purposely moved the phone to the bottom of the bag earlier so she wouldn’t be overwhelmed right away. A slow smile spread on her face as she took out each item. She mumbled here and there about how cute something was. She held up the socks and claimed that they were perfect and she loved socks. He made a mental note to buy several hundred later. When she reached the phone, her eyebrows clutched together in confusion. She handed it towards him.
“You left your phone in here.”
“No, I didn’t. That one is yours.”
“What?! No! I can’t take this. Its too expensive! Once I get a job, I can pay you back for the other things but I would never be able to pay you back for this!” She tried to hand it back again but he refused.
“I don’t want you to pay me back for any of it. Its called a gift for a reason. I want you to be able to contact one of us if you need to.”
“No, I can’t. I would feel so guilty using it. Its a wonderful gift, Wonshik. But I just can’t take it. I’ll get a job soon and get one.”
Seeing that she was probably going to be very stubborn about this, he came up with an idea.
“How about this? You can work for me. In my studio.”
