They should have called him "Union Jackie", like the name of the British flag. Or "Lady Earl Grey", like the tea brews (Nonbinary British train named after tea!)

Also, Fun Fact! "Prince of Wales" is also the name of a black-green tea blend infused with currants.

See the problem is that Brexit is such a fun character and I love his design a lot but I HATE that his name is Brexit with every fiber of my being. Why couldn't they have named him something stupid like Teatime or Crumpets

CANUCK Canuck my beloved you deserve to be real

He’s technically already a national, but I basically just stole the name. He’s got the Vancouver canucks logo on his back (sponsored) as well as a bunch of the provincial flags! (Including Labradors cause fuck you)

He’s narrow gauge, so he’s got inline skates! Just thought it would be a silly nod. He’s also nice and polite but the SECOND he touches the race track it’s no holds bared, racing is a contact sport to him

Headcanons about all 3 British Engines?

Aaarrrgghhhhh this one is tougher because I don't think about Milton or Princey in the slightest </3

I do headcanon all three British engines as being related to each other at the very least, though. Milton and Princey are brothers but have a bit of an age difference, they're around 10 years apart (Milton being the oldest). Brexit is Princey's son and Milton's nephew.

I am biased though, I really care for Brexit a lot more than the others. I think he's certainly on the younger side, but he has an old soul.

He's not very rowdy or competitive, but he wants to fit in with the other nationals and tries to square up despite it just not being part of his personality. He's just a friendly, fun guy!

He doesn't even mind not competing in the final races, that's just the way things happen! Oh well! :) Perhaps next year!

The funniest shit London 2024 StEx could pull, given that all the Nationals have either been renamed or replaced, is to still have the Prince of Wales there. Guy's been in almost every production (moreso than even BoBo or Espresso), imagine if he still made it in lmaoo

Prince of Wales is more than likely a diesel locomotive.

This one rail site goes into detail of diesel locomotives on the Royal Train up to 1984, back when there were no “official” engine for the Royal Train -- http://www.derbysulzers.com/royaltrain.html

Meanwhile, Wikipedia says that “1990–2004: Class 47 47834 Fire Fly and 47835 Windsor Castle (in InterCity livery) and later refurbished, renumbered and renamed 47798 Prince William and 47799 Prince Henry (in Royal claret). Both are now withdrawn: the former is preserved at the National Railway Museum, York and the latter is at the Eden Valley Railway, Warcop.

Since 2004: Class 67 67005 Queen's Messenger and 67006 Royal Sovereign (in Royal claret). Since 2012 an extra locomotive, Class 67 67026 Diamond Jubilee (in Diamond Jubilee silver), has been allocated to Royal duties.“

(Can we just appreciate for a moment that the Broadway show gave the British Royal Train an engine with “Prince” in its name 3 years before the real train would?)

It’s a little funny because StEx started partly as a Cinderella story to see which engine would pull the Royal Train, and thus far I’ve only been able to find evidence of steam and diesel engines pulling the train -- so sorry there, Electra. 

Actually, it makes sense that diesel locomotives are used on Royal Trains partly for their reliability compared to electric engines. If there is a power outage (whether accidental or deliberate), Her Majesty and the rest of the royal family would be in potential danger. So, Princey is probably meant to be a diesel engine -- at least until he converts to steam at the end.

Oh, another fan of the National Engines! Here's a little height chart of the main 6 Nationals.

🌐Turnov is your stereotypical big, buff Russian man. Unknownst to almost everyone, though, he loves crochetting and cross-stitching. He has for pet a Caucasian Shepherd Dog named Medved (Bear), who loves napping all day long.

🌐Prince of Wales is Milton Keynes's oldest male son, and Brexit's half-brother. He's currently in a relationship with a private coach named Cachemire.

🌐Espresso gets himself tanned VERY EASILY, and he also loves to sunbathe in the nude during warm months (he does this because he likes to pull down his pants and show his tanned, naked butt to those who say he has a "farmer's tan"). Also, he has the longest hair out of all the Nationals.

🌐BoBo and Espresso were declared rivals for the first 5 years of their racing carreer; during those years, the rivalry turned into admiration, appreciation, friendship, and finally, love. Espresso even adopted CoCo, who's BoBo's biological daughter from a previous relationship.

🌐Hashimoto is the most serious National... until he sees a cute animal in front of him. In that case, he MUST be restrained, or he'll try and pet the animal in question.

🌐Ruhrgold is afraid of frogs. Once his brother Rhinegold put next to him a plastic frog, woke him up and left the room; legends say that Ruhrgold's scream of terror was even heard in Belgium.
