Found out my town’s Pride is run by white cis-het woman, who doesn’t even live in the state anymore… if that’s not the most Stevens Point thing ever I don’t know what is. Just like our local Target is mostly staffed by queer folk, but isn’t carrying their Pride collection this year because of a couple complaints last year.

BL and I have seen this before. It's at Stevens Point Sculpture Park in Wisconsin. It's not something you're going to randomly run across: you have to take a trail through the woods that leads directly to this statue, and it's clearly viewable from a distance. I may have photos of it somewhere. I just remember not wanting to linger, because I was being eaten alive by mosquitos.
