Funniest Steven universe clip I love it when the show is self aware (not that he’s annoying, he’s just so full of love it’s kind of unbelievable sometimes)
Bluebird would be like an ¨anti-Garnet¨. Aquamarine and Eyeball fuse because they have a person in common they both happen to hate- they don't much else in common outside of that and they don't seem to get along from what it is shown in the episode.
This explains why they have so much trouble with fusing, because they can't agree with almost anything else aside from the fact that they hate Steven. Steven points this out but they don't consider his advice because they are that resentful.
The concept on itself is interesting because it could have been something that while they spend time working together they realize that they care more about their relationship than hating Steven and over time they become good somewhat? Or they just stop chasing after Steven. I don't recall that happening in the series before so it could have quite unique.
The issue is that they didn't show up again after this episode. So it feels like them showing up was rather unnecessary when we could have had an episode about exploring how Lapis and Jasper feel about Malachite post the time skip- something that is a lot more interesting and relevant
I’ve spent the last week rewatching a bunch of Steven universe, including the movie and future. And I forgot how much I loved the episode Bluebird. So I had to do a screenshot redraw cus I found this scene and mostly what happened after (aka 4 leggy thing goes splat) funny as hell.
Also I needed to relearn how to draw Steven in my style, since how I use to draw him from like 3 years ago is hella outdated. And actually drawing a fully body shot of Bluebird was an interesting experience.
Bit of a day late but for Jan 1: Favorite Friendship of SU! There's too many friendships I enjoy to count but I thought Aquamarine's friendship with Eyeball was weirdly adorable XD These two little gremlins really do share a lot in common.
Sure it involves hating on poor Steven but that's a pretty relatable way to bond. The enemy of my enemy is my friend indeed. I had fun drawing these evil cuties XD
