“4 Months”

You Gently filled up your second red plastic cup, making sure as to not get any drink spilled out, while simultaneously trying to get the amount to match the first cup you served. Satisfied with both drinks, you placed the utensil back into the punch bowl and picked up both cups, making your way back to the couch where Kim sat. You took your seat next to her.

You noticed she was looking off to something, or someone, in the crowd. Handing her one of the cups in your hand, she gave you quick glance and smile, then returned to what she was focused on. Following her gaze, it didn’t take you long to figure out what she had been looking at. “He’s been following her around all night,” a voice left of Kim said. You moved your eyes to look at the speaker, Steven. You hadn’t really paid much attention sitting down, so you hadn’t noticed him there. He wasn’t there before you stood up to go get you and Kim some punch, but you’re glad he has made his way over to you guys. You replied with a small hum.

“He’s pathetic,” Kim grumbled next to you. She was referring to Scott Pilgrim, who you were all currently watching move his way across the room and lean against a wall next to a girl. “Who’s she?” you asked, Kim’s eyes moved to look at you, while sipping from her cup. While she was still sipping on the punch, Steven beat her to an answer. “Ramona Flowers, I heard she’s new, from the states,” Again, you replied with a simple hum. “Yeah, and that idiot Scott is trying to go after her,” Kim added.

For the last six months, ever since you first met Kim, she had a thing against Scott, you would even go as far as to say it was hatred. You wanted to ask Kim about, but it seemed like a touchy topic, but after bringing it up with Steven one night, he caved in and explained it to you. They had dated in high school and from what you can tell it left some bad blood between them. At first you were weary of Scott, as for the past four months, you realized you were developing feelings for Kim. Something about her sarcastic, misanthropy personality caught your eye. It was easy for you to understand Kim, she didn’t like many people, and when she said things about someone, she meant it. You saw the way Kim held resentment and disinterest when talking to other people, but when it came to you, she seemed to be more open and communicative. Young Neil pointed it out once, how you hadn’t even known Kim for long and yet she seemed to have more of a liking for you than any members in Sex-bob-omb. You laughed it off, but that didn’t mean you hadn’t noticed it. Part of you wished that it meant Kim returned your romantic feelings. Maybe that meant she also wanted to be more than just friends.

“Earth to [name], you there?” a hand placed on your shoulder, resulting in your body to give a small jolt. You came face to face with Kim, a tinge of embarrassment arose in you, but simply shrugged it off. Kim asked you a question, you should respond. “Sorry just zoned out,” focusing back on the drink, you gazed your eyes down as you took a sip. You hadn’t noticed him get up, but Steven was gone from the chair next to the couch you guys sat on. “I’m bored out of my mind [name], tell me something interesting,” you let out a small exhale, a small smile growing on your face. “[insert a fact about something you like]”, you said as you lowered your red plastic cup. How were these cups so iconic? you saw them everywhere, what made these ones better than any other plastic cup? “Wow, you’re such a nerd,” Kim said as she leaned back on the couch, looking up at you. Turning to look at her again you followed her lead and leaned back, “You love this nerd,” you replied. She fixed her gaze forward “Whatever”. She had turned to look at Scott again, he wasn’t talking to that Ramona girl anymore, but anyone who focused in could tell he was still following her around. “God he’s creepy,” “Well, aren’t you doing the exact thing he’s doing?”

“Why don’t you come inside?”

You stood at Kim’s door step. For the past two months, you had frequently been over at her house to hangout, granted her parents also lived there, but Kim had mentioned something on your drive back from the party that her parents were out of town. Granted you hadn’t been paying too much attention, not because you weren’t interested in what Kim had to say, but you couldn’t shake your thoughts on how interested Kim seemed in Scott at that party. Did she still have some sort of feelings for him? Why was she so focused in on him?

“Sure, i’m feeling social,” you joked. You liked messing with Kim, you enjoyed her sarcastic, teasing comments, and you enjoyed returning them just as much. You walked in, Kim closed the door behind you, taking your coat off, you followed Kim into the living room. “So what did you wanna do? We could watch a movie or listen to music or something,” you sat down next to her on the couch. You liked her house’s sofa, when you sat down on it it had this nice sink to it, wasn’t too soft but it also wasn’t uncomfortably hard. “I don’t know, maybe we could just talk?” “About what?” you paused for a moment. Maybe it was the late night affect, the fact that it was almost 1 in the morning, or the fact that half of the night you had spent wondering and bellowing in your thoughts, but you felt the sudden need, the urge, to ask Kim what she felt about Scott. “Why were you so interested in Scott and that girl tonight?” “I’m not interested in Scott”. You got almost an immediate answer. You hadn’t been looking at Kim, instead just focusing ahead of you. “I’m interested in you.” What?

You turned to face Kim. “I said i’m not interested in Scott, I just like picking on him,”she paused. “But I am interested in you [name],” you felt your eyes widen and a sudden rush, not even processing that you hadn’t realized you had said ‘what?’ out loud. “In what way?” “In what way do you think?” A second pause.

For the past four out of six months that you’ve known Kim Pine, you had a ‘crush’ on her, and unbeknownst to you, for those same four months Kim returned your feelings. “So, do you wanna be my boyfriend, [name]?” you took a moment, this was real, this was happening, you couldn’t fight back the smile that formed on your face. “I don’t know Kim, do you wanna be my girlfriend?” you saw Kim’s smile widen, “Dork, that was so corny,” you just smiled back, the both of you leaning in, to finally share a kiss.

first and foremost, due to my ADHD, I am a impulsive and slow writer - replies ( which can range from months to weeks, especially due to tumblr formatting ) are more a spur of the moment when I'm in the writing mood. I am prone to long burnouts. this is a mid to low activity blog. But I am faster on discord.

I've posted for A Court of Thorns and Roses, The Social Network, Steven Universe, Hunger Games: A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, It (Chapter 2 mostly), Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Dead Poets Society. Right now I pretty much only actively write for ACOTAR but I am susceptible to being pulled into other directions (I've had an idea for a fic for Nope that I started jotting down, I'm pretty into Batjokes so I kinda wanna write for them at some point, stuff like that)

5. Do you respond to comments?

Absolutely. I don't think there's a single instance where I haven't responded to a comment. They feed my passion and my greedy soul and the rush of serotonin and dopamine and other happy chemicals when I see that I have something in my inbox is genuinely unparalleled.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

It was more of a character study drabble, but probably "The Death of Neil Perry, Actor and Honorary Member of the Dead Poets Society". It was the first thing I ever published to ao3 actually, and it's literally just what's on the ticket. "the price of knowing your love" is an arguable contender though.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Any of my (actually complete) It Chapter 2 fics probably. They're almost all fix-its, and some of them are literally just like fluffy PWP.

8. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do! Mostly mlm, as that's what most of the ships I write for are anyway, but I have written one threesome ("The Solution"), and I wouldn't be opposed to other kinds of pairings. Overall my smut is fairly vanilla, I don't get too adventurous with it. This can lead to it feeling kind of repetitive (to me) but I enjoy reading it and implementing it in my works, so I don't really care too much that I'm a little bit of a smut one trick pony.

9. Do you write crossovers?

Nope! I've thought about it though. I came up with this whole elaborate crossover between ACOTAR and The Boys. But like, idk if it could be considered a crossover cause it didn't actually have any characters from the boys, it was more like what if all the characters in ACOTAR were in The Boys universe, and all the characters in The Boys were just. Not. Idk if that would count as a crossover. But I digress.

Nope.

11. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Also nope.

12. What is your all-time favorite ship?

I mean I feel like I have to say Richie/Eddie of It fame. I was just so dedicated to them for so long and have written so. much. for reddie that it would feel wrong not to put them. Plus like theyre just one of thee iconic gay ships at this point like it's very easy to have them in the top slot. I'm also big into mark/Eduardo from the social network (SPECIFICALLY) and Tamlin/Rhysand of ACOTAR

13. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have a ton of abandoned reddie fics, some of which I actually started posting before finishing (yeesh). I also have a markwardo apocalypse au fic that I actually really do want to finish, but im just so entrenched in ACOTAR that idk if I'll ever get around to it. I REALLY wanna finish my TBOSAS fic and I am actually determined to get around to it at some point, but who's to say.

14. What are your writing strengths?

Woof. I'd say dialogue, emotion heavy scenes, introspection, and character chemistry.

15. What are your writing weaknesses?

I am a chronic yapper, so like not enough editing, weird pacing, that sort of thing. I unfortunately do a lot of telling where I should be doing more showing. I also am not too great with humor, which is fascinating to me because I LOVE humor, like I love watching standup comedy, I love hanging out with funny people, I love cracking jokes, but I just can't really think of anything actually funny to write oftentimes. And even if I do, I don't always know how to fit it into a scene. Another thing is, plot. I often don't really write things with real plot. I'm not too creative when it comes to coming up with original ideas and scenarios to put the characters in, so a lot of my work ends up being more character driven than actually plot driven. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but I wish I could be comfortable with both, not just the character analysis-y stuff.

16. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I've never really done it so I've never really thought about it! I sometimes like when a fic has something that I have to look up or translate, but I don't like actively seek fics with other language content, as I really only speak English.

17. First fandom you wrote for?

If we're talking what's on AO3, technically The Dead Poets Society. But if we're talking first fic ever written, I suppose I could consider the self insert Percy Jackson story I started writing in fifth grade (before I even knew what fanfiction really was).

18. Favorite fic you've written?

I'd say right now it's "Colors in a Dead Garden." I just dedicated so much time and effort to it and I ended up really happy with the results. I think it really shows a lot of my progress as a writer and it just felt so much more meaty and like layered than other fics I've written.

5. Do you respond to comments? Always! My readers made the effort to comment on my fic, so I will absolutely respond with the utmost enthusiasm. It means the world to me when I get comments.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Oh, it's absolutely Wildflowers. I mean, it's canon ending so does it really count?

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I think most of them have happy endings, especially the oneshots. If they're not happy, they're some kind of tender, or sweet. I do think Regrets has the most upbeat ending.

8. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes. More and more lately. I would say I write the kind of smut that makes you question yourself (and I haven't even dived into the kinkiest kinks). Are you confused? Yes. Do you know what happened? No. Do I know what happened? No. Were we all entertained? HELL YES.

9. Do you write crossovers? I didn't name my blog home of the crackships for nothing. I LOVE crossovers. I have a few on my AO3, but so many on my to-write list.

11. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Nope! Not formally. I do roleplay with a partner. I tried to re-write one of ours as a fic, but it's soooo tricky.

12. What is your all-time favorite ship? SUPERBATS SUPERBATS SUPERBATS. At least, if we're talking something that has a fandom. If we're talking my fav ships forreal, it's Lambert x Gojo Satoru x Clark Kent, Orm Marius x Clark Kent x Bruce Wayne, Barry Allen x Hal Jordan x Komand'r, Lilith x Eskel, etc.

13. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? None that I know of. I usually circle back and/or can be swayed to finish one.

14. What are your writing strengths?

Details. I think I have a few. I get weird fixated on details that I think make the writing feel more 'lived in' and immersive.

Side characters. I think I'm very good at creating intriguing side characters that you'll get attached to. My trick is that the character is fully developed with their own story before they appear on my page. How else will I get their interactions down, even if it's for a chapter and they're never seen again?

Humour. I literally cannot be serious. I have to shitpost halfway through my story.

15. What are your writing weaknesses?  

Pacing. I am impatient, I wanna get to the juicy parts, but some stories need to cook a little before getting to the fun stuff. I tend to use the excuse that since it's fanfiction, I can #yolo and post.

I cannot write something short for the life of me. Everything needs to end up being multi-chapter, I'm TIRED.

Smut. It's not raw enough. It's not filthy enough. I need to let go and be less formal about it. Just dig right in and have a meatier writing. I just don't think my current style fits pure smut. It does fit trying to fuck an eldritch horror and soul-shattering orgasms tho 😂 But sometimes, I just wanna go to pound town, not achieve self-actualization through butt stuff, you know???

16. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I have some foreign words in my Illyrian fic, and I am fluent in french. I do hate seeing other people write dialogue in different languages SPECIFICALLY FRENCH, so I won't be doing that.

17. First fandom you wrote for? A Court of Thorns and Roses.

18. Favorite fic you’ve written? I have different favourite ones for different reasons.

I like cosmic bloom because it's unhinged smut.

I like Regrets because it's my first ever Superbats fic and got so many kudos!

I like Wildflowers because it's my first story I ever wrote from start to finish.

I like Needle & King because it's healing a lot of trauma to write it, and I get to discover my identity and explore lore/worldbuilding that I've been putting off for ages.

I think this list is pretty good but also has a lot of fun references to the show. But it's pretty long.

Marinette: Last Night in Soho is about a fashion designer, like Marinette, trying to make it in the world. A lot of the movie focuses on visions the protagonist has about a woman who has many similarities to herself but it goes horribly wrong. This is probably a reference to the Reunion trick Marinette does in Season 5.

Adrien: Killer Klowns is a fun B film thats full of zany music and gags. This probably fits into Adrien's more comedic side when he's Cat Noir, also the clowns are probably a reference to Psychomedian.

Nino: The Shining is a very acclaimed horror film. Stanley Kubrick is a famous director and the book was written by famous author Stephen King. Nino has a passion for movies so that's probably why this was picked. I would have picked Jaws because Nino mentions Steven Spielberg's non-union French equivalent in Volpina.

Alya: Scream 4 is a fun slasher that prominently features a reporter in the form of Gale Weathers. A modern whodunit. This is probably the connection to Alya. At this point in the franchise Gale has gone through her full arc and is a more compassionate person. I believe The Ring is also about a reporter, and is pretty iconic enough for Alya to maybe have seen with Nino. But who doesn't love a movie with Courtney Cox?

Kagami: Ju-On is the original version of The Grudge. Of course the Japanese girl is paired with a Japanese horror film. No adaptations for her.

Felix: The title alone perfectly describes Felix. An American in London is literally Felix since his dad is an American but he lives with his mom in London. But the Werewolf part is a fun reference to Flairmidable, a wolf in sheeps clothing. That and they're dogs.

Rose: Jennifer's Body despite its terrible ad campaign at its core is about a friendship, with heavily sapphic not even undertones. So your fun Julerose reference.

Juleka: The goth girl is paired with the movie about goth girls and witchcraft. Fair enough. Also the arc of the protagonist is for the quiet introvert to become self confident. So very Juleka.

Alix: A time travel horror comedy. Perfect for a time travelling superhero.

Nathaniel: Suspiria is a very artistic horror film, very much about ambience and set design. Great for an artist like Nathaniel.

Marc: The film is a horror movie anthology based around a comic book. Something a writer like Marc would enjoy, and the comic is a fun reference to his project with Nathaniel. An alternate choice would have been like Creepshow.

Luka: A horror movie musical for the music loving Luka. It's a classic musical made into a film. I'm sure Phantom of the Opera would have been a good choice too.

Max: This movie is the origin of "You die in the game you die in real life", so just a fun reference to Gamer. M3GAN would also work as a fun reference to Markov.

Kim: A cheesy B horror movie with monsters. We know he likes monster movies because of Syren. A lot of movies could have fit into this category but since the finale takes place in a pool, they picked it for Kim.

Mylene: Fair enough.

Ivan: We know Ivan loves metal music and this movie is basically a deconstruction of the notion that metal is inherently negative. Studio 666 might have been to recent to put on the list that and Foo Fighters isn't metal.

Sabrina: Her personality leaves a lot to interpretation. If she was in a horror film she would be one of the first to be gutted. Robocop despite being in Mortal Kombat is more action than horror. All we can really reference is that she's a dog holder, so maybe Cujo. I can only assume that Cabin in the Woods is just a favorite of anon.

Chloe: Psycho is a very classic film, so probably a reference to her dad wanting to make movies. Pearl makes a lot of references to the classical era of film but Psycho is very notable.

Zoe: LGBT horror movie for Zoe. I assume that anon is a Zoenette or Kittybella shipper. Until anything is confirmed about Zoe's romantic life I can't say for sure what else. I can't think of any horror movies about shoes, just that they make good weapons.

Lila: The Thing basically describes Lila. A parasitic invader that adopts multiple personas in an effort to survive and has no issue with taking anyone down that identifies them as an imposter. The movie ends on an ambiguous note so that not even the audience knows where the monster is.

In honor of Scream 6 releasing this week, I made a list of the Miracuclass' favorite scary movies. Just in case they get a call from Ghostface. Just remember, everyone's a suspect!
