What a doozy of a chapter, don't even know where to start..

Firstly I love that you're drip feeding us flashbacks of how they met. It's sucking me into their backstory a ton. They clearly liked each other from the very beginning and now I'm even more curious about what he's said or done to make her hate herself and get them to where they are now.

R and Will's friendship being explored more was so interesting, her bond with all the Byers seems solid and I love that for her. And then her jealousy of Will and Eddie bonding over mario, it's so real that when you don't like someone and it feels weird and awkward when they have good relationships with your friends.

And then Steve! The betrayal! I mean, we'll understand it more when it's revealed how they fell out I guess, but still! First she's been told Will hangs out with Eddie often, and now she's realised Steve, her best friend, has been spending time with him also. Must be so confusing being forced to realise that Eddie might not be the horrible awful person she thought due to him helping Will, then seeing that all on the same night.

And then Eddie is the mediator in it all, being level headed and sensible and generally being out of character to her. Her head must be spinning, it's a lot of information to take in, in a short space of time. And even Robin knew! (did I read that right? It felt like it was implied that she did) she'll maybe be feeling so insecure that everyone seems to be best pals with her enemy behind her back.

I wonder if there are any big feelings between Steve and Eddie as well, it's got all the set up for a super awkward triangle and I'm invested! Can't wait for what happens next! 🖤🖤

The rainbow tower at the end of KMM mv kept me up last night 😩

I don't live anywhere near the tower, is it common occurrence?

I've seen everywhere it's purposeful, and Louis is someone who will do that.

Also the styles at the end of miss you mv? Was that.. purposeful as well? I know the triangles were. Oh Lord, it's seems unbelievable but at the same time so so believable.

You do realise who you're sending this to right, like I'm way past the point of thinking things are a silly little coincidoink with him. There are way waaayy too many indications, way too much of a consistent pattern that he really is like this, that he just leaves this kinda shit around because he can.

Also with Louis' work there's quite a lack of detail in his music videos. With that I don't mean there's a lack of meaning or something (just looks at the Just Like You video for half a second and you'll know it's the opposite), I mean that the visuals are simple. Not littered with stuff / no clutter / the opposite of Where is Waldo. There's Louis + beach. Louis + car, empty road + scooter, person + pretty much empty room, just a blob of red, I could go on. So then when Louis does have something in that room, does have some visuals in the background, and those visuals are just hella gayvinci code, I'm not gonna brush it off as it just coincidentally being there. Yeah sure sometimes we're actually reading into thin air but I simply don't think he'd "accidentally" have a rainbow tower in the background in a music video. I think it's pretty naive to think that honestly.

And not just that but kinda hide it at the very end. It looks like a theme park (I don't know where this is and idk if it matters), with some kinda flashy tower. He's not singing at that point anymore (this to say this isn't footage that has to be tied to a timepoint in the vid) so I imagine they were just filming him there on the beach and picking later on what pieces of footage to use where, and guess what from that footage they chose exactly a bit where that thing in the background was flashing a rainbow. That's it. Easily could've gone for something else but nope. It's a rainbow. Could have been that it wasn't planned, could be that it was knowing that thing was gonna flash like that, could even be that the footage is actually edited and there wasn't even a rainbow there, who knows. In any case there was for sure loads of other 1.4 second (that's how long the bit is) snippets of footage usable to plomp down in his MV there but he chose a bit with the background like that. And if you think he doesn't have/use that kinda micromanaging power over his music videos watch this and then if you still don't feel free to come back to me. Anyway, this is the full bit:

And indeed we've seen that very same thing before, at the very end of Miss You, where he's no longer singing, when the youtube recommendations are starting to pop up, the attention span of the casual watcher has drifted off, and whambam it's upside down pink triangles and sTyLe. He could've gone for any room, any props, any imagery, but chose an otherwise empty decor of some neon signs and empty cups and not much else but himself and some scribble hiding in plain sight that doesnt resemble anything at all. Anything at all except for STYLE. Or yeah of course Steve because he really misses steve aoki and has to hide that in his forms of self-expression.

I'd even go as far as calling it a fullblown StyleS with a drifted of S:

I love this for him, I love that he seems to enjoy a good puzzle, thinking of ways to be a lil shit to leave messages in his work for those who are open to hearing it, or not even that just as a way to put something true to himself in there, and yeah SBB trained us a little too well to the point where we think to spot things that are actual coincidences sometimes but these 2? Nah. These 2 things are on purpose if you ask me.
