Simply seeing that a source is shinigami-ed isn't enough to discredit the point the post is making. The entirety of Twitter is red. I'm not saying you should use Twitter as a source in general (especially these days) but for example if the point you're making is "someone said this" and then linking to their original tweet, then yeah that's a verified source!

If the conversation is about something other than trans rights then the usefulness of shinigami eyes plummets the further you get from intersecting topics. And even then, the guardian recently did an entire expose into their own racist past! It was a featured topic for weeks with multiple stories and a very frank and open tone.

Healthy skepticism and media literacy goes both ways. Be skeptical of why something is flagged as unsafe and be aware of how that might impact or be entirely irrelevant to the statement being made.

@stepperbox I'm on mobile so I can't easily include your tags but you remembered correctly. It's nightshade! Tomatoes actually are a nightshade as are potatoes and aubergines (eggplants to the Americans). So when tomatoes came to Europe that contributed to the assumption that they were poisonous as they were recognisably related to a well known poison.
